"Not to discount the many Sith who go into the temples and are called by it, but..." there was a small shrug, "they must have been vulnerable already."
Jedi Master Valery moved through the Force, and as the massive door began to rise. Xarielle took a few steps back, as the light flooded the ground she stood on. Her eyes went wide as the light seemed to dance there in the cave, she swallowed hard as she heard a voice. Calling to her, and as she took a step forward she saw the face to the voice. "Grampa?"
"Rielle, my dearest. I am so pleased to see you, come," he held out his hand and on instinct she took it, not realizing that perhaps the Jedi Master would not be able to see it. Although, the old and gone Jedi Master Gideon Voldaren gave Valery Noble a small wink. "Walk with me, Rielle." He instructed his granddaughter. At that moment, Xarielle nearly forgot the Jedi Master was there as she came to walk side by side with the dead.

Then without hesitation, she turned to Master Noble. "My apologies, where are my manners," her raspy voice went up an octave as she smiled, "names Mishel, and that... well, that is perhaps one of the most precious things I've ever had the pleasure of meeting."
"So it goes without saying that while I'm not saying you have to train her. I am saying... just make sure, she doesn't meet her end before her time." Mishel turned her attention away from Valery and out toward Xarielle who was talking with her grandfather. "I'll be here to help when I can and... when I'm ready I'll return to this world. May the Force be with you, Master Noble."
Xarielle all the while watched as her grandfather spoke of his past, "and I learned that the path of the light, while not for everyone, and while it has its challenges. I found, to be very, very rewarding and if you so choose my dear. I shall be with you every step of the way."
"Listen... I, I don't... I'm just a kid from Balmorra. My ship just needs to be fixed, I'm not meant to... for-"
Gideon smiled and sighed happily taking a seat beside a few crystals. "I thought the same thing when I was younger, just a kid from Kro Var. What can I do?" He summoned a small pebble from the ground to his hand, "so I ask you, Rielle. Do you think the stone that sits on the very top of the mountain's mighty face, does it think it's more important than the stones that formed the base?"
She blinked, uncertain on how to answer the question.
In an instant, the pebble was gone and Gideon rose to his feet, "a single thread in the tapestry, though it color brightly shines, can never see its purpose in the grand design." Xarielle's brows furrowed as she followed him questioning him, "how can you see what you are worth, or where your value lies, when you see yourself through the eyes of man?"
"You cannot, and thus you must look at yourself, look at your life through the eyes of the Force."
Xarielle scoffed, "okay, listen I get you want me to look at it differently, but honestly I'm just here to catalog some history in my journey."
"Ah and what's a journey without a destination, mhmm? Oh Rielle, my girl, need I tell you the story of the lost sheep?"
"No grandpa, I know, the shepherd boy was greater than the richest king, and if a man lost everything he owned then has he truly lost his worth or is it the beginning of a new brighter, and birth. You cannot measure the worth of a man in wealth, strength or size, not in what he has gained or lost but the answer lies in those who try to look at their life... through the eyes of the Force," she cringed realizing she just rounded back to his point. Xarielle wasn't so sure about any of this, "I just..."
"Rielle, you must try, and must try to dance, I will be with you and you will have help every step of the way. Remember, I am always with you, always have been and always will be. Remember my lessons and remember me, may the Force be with you."
"NO WAIT!" She shouted grasping at the air for where he stood, now stood nothing at all. Xarielle's eyes were filled with tears and her ears felt warm, and it was only then she realized how cold it was in the cave. Even so, she closed her eyes and slowly sank to her knees. Her grandfather was there, she knew it, even if he was a ghost and even if she was the only one who could see him. He had been there and as she put her hands to her eyes. Xarielle moved to wipe the tears from her vision. When she opened her eyes, there before her laid the crystal that seemed to shine brighter than any other.
Holding out her hand, the crystal flowed to her effortlessly.
