Tempest sat in the orbiting ship, looking down at Morellia. For once there did not seem to be a world threatening monster, invading horde or cataclysm. Rather, this was an expedition to shore up defences, build positions and fortify the system against Primeval incursions.
The Coalition was going in to communicate with the few surviving locals too to get them on side, and to investigate reports of wild beast attacks.
"All forces, move in. Remember, keep your weapons holstered, boys and girls, this is a peace mission." Give or take a monster or too.
Objectives:
Build and fortify a training centre and Jedi enclave.
Be diplomatic with the locals and form an agreement with them.
Fight monsters introduced to the planet. Suggestions: Rancor, gundark, sleen, cannoks.
For a change, Elpsis was not running guns for shady characters or smuggling drugs. Or drinking herself into a drunken stupour in a seedy bar. No, she had decided to tag along in the latest venture of the Coalition of the Willing to help the helpless by killing wild beasts and monsters with her boomstick. Supposedly she'd get paid well. Truly, her mother should be proud of her.
Needless to say she was going to stay away from the diplomatic stuff. As long as she didn't meet preachey Jedi trying to convince her to join the holier than thou Space Cops again, she could deal. Having kitted herself out in the armoury with guns and explosives when the call to move out was made, she quickly headed down to where the hangar was. It was already in a state of hectic activity as various soldiers from the Coalition were boarding their shuttles that soon shot out of the ship's bay.
However, there was one person in particular who drew her attention. "Hey, long time no see, huh? Didn't quite catch your name on Arkas." Her blue eyes travelled across the imposing beskar'gam Tempest was wearing. "You look...good." No, not trying to make awkward innuendo at all.
There wasn't much here... well okay there was but really it was hard as Matsu was heading towards some of the factories. THe enforvers were at one time famous and powerful with a knack for well powerful weapons that could maybe be used with the rangers or soldiers Matsu's group supplied. Not much but a strong slugthrower could come in handy while she looked around and pointed for her guys. "Setup what you can and observe. I want to get the factories operation and setup with ranger companies." Matsu was moving with most of her attention on the larger sections while she was working on setting up drones to scout and map the area.
"Come on lets go on an adventure." Leina said it while she was moving and looking at some of the medics and healers they had with them. A smirk on her face while she was moving with her attention going towards the people that were on the planet while she wondered about the locals thinking about some of the things. Leina was skipping down the ramp of the ship with her lekku bouncing and the saber on her hip gleaming as the engraved images of creatures were there. She was tossing glitter into the air as it rained down and.... "We're off to meet the people the wonderful people of... ah padawan where are we again?" There was a small voice from one of the padawan while the boy spoke. "Ah morellia." She kept moving. "The wonderful people of Morellia.... because because because... because of the wonderful things they have."
Objective 1. Build and fortify Silver Sanctum Jedi Enclave of Morellia. Location: On board a Jo'henry-class rare minerals mining vessel. [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] (1)
The morning had dawned over Voss and brought with it a day of heavy clouds laden with rain. The sound of the rain falling on the Temple echoes around the halls, the window awash with streams of water carving a way down the thick etched windows. Coci pulled her cowl over her head and wrapped the folds of her cloak around her body before dashing out into the torrent that fell from the clouds. Her black boots paid no heed to the puddles on the marble platform that graces the main entrance of th Silver Temple, water splashing around her feet with each forceful tread. She runs to the main starport attached to the Temple to meet her husband before they head out to Morellia.
The ship, one of the ugliest one would ever find, is perfect. A mining vessel with lots of space for them to transport supplies and provisions, tools, droids and personal for construction of a new Jedi Enclave on his little known planet. Coci enters the starport and drops her cowl. As she approaches the ship, personal are still loading the necessary equipment, they stop only to greet her with a respectful bow, however the commander of the crew informed her that Grand Master Heavenshield was already on board and waiting for her.
She walks the loading ramp with purpose and a growing smile, weaving through the men and women bustling in and out with a sense of urgency, we cannot keep the grand master waiting. For a short moment, Coci stops to locate her beloved, her head tilts to the side with a little curiosity as he is not on the bridge where she had expected him to be but below in the engine room. She turns on her heels and makes for the turbolift, a short trip to the lower levels and the engine room. As the doors whooshed open, there he his, with another, bent over and heads deeply buried in the confines of a panel on the wall, she grins.
Walking up behind the pair of them, "You lost something?". However her eyes had the pleasure of a lovely view of her husband.

Taiden sat in meditation, the orb of the planet represented ahead, a hologram of both purpose and poise rotating in front of him outlining the directives for today. Beside him sat a half full glass of water sloping sideways as their gravity shifted, he too corrected his balance naturally, eyes tightly shut. White of hair, of clothes and pure of mind, all doubt was gone as he relaxed into his breathing.
A very different padawan to before the Silvers and now the sanctum had taken him in, snapping his vision open, healthy focused attention lined up with the rotating point on the map and he readied himself for the work to come. Full Keth concentration, only taken to a positive direction, and growing.
Yet the candle appeared in his mind, serenity of the flame, a perverted, Sith tarnished title now held by some obscure cult thanks to [member="Raien Keth"] and [member="Sera Inkari"], he had been so peaceful till he pictured the candle, and so he pushed the anger from his mind to stand. Today was a happier day, they were building not pulling down. Sheathing his silver Keth born blade across his back, and readying the final touches of his Echani fiber armor. The young Echani exited his quarters to find either his Master [member="Nima Tann"], [member="Coci Heavenshield"], or [member="Thurion Heavenshield"], whoever he crossed paths with first. He was looking forward to helping those below, and the direction it was taking them all.

The SSC reserve fleet was old, but that was perfect because where they were going was older, and even more low tech. Above the small fleet moved in an impressive display of logistics, and in a role it was becoming much more familiar with, ferrying supplies or running rescue operations around SSC space. Sub contracted scavenger freighters were heading down, to scavenge materials from nearby junk piles or low tech landfills in return to support other projects where they were needed, and the main fleet waited in orbit in case they were called on. @For use by all.
The Morellians MWC, Morellian Weapons Conglomerate had been out of contact with the galaxy for sometime, they used to re-engineer or build low tech weapons, low tech slug throwers that were surprisingly effective, it was almost like someone had made a company out of Kei’s method!
In this dusty courtyard in the middle of nowhere planetside, Amadis was in his element. “Report to the quartermaster and give me an inventory.” Kei spoke to the most senior wildcard with him, following beside [member="Elara Wahia"], following because he had his hands full with a metal container full of spare parts, resting his chin atop it, until he placed it down with a thunk.
The factory itself was a junkpile, there was no other way to say it, the MWC representatives that came to greet them were salt of the earth, and Kei in his worn urban camo temple robes was by far the best dressed among them, did he ever wear anything else but robes? They needed help with logistics, materials, manpower, they had expertise and designs to go but that was about it. The Nikto wildcards that were milling about the place were not exactly first rate soldiers, they made decent engineers now with the experience they’d had but they needed a firm hand to keep them inline, and as always they were restless to get started.
[member="Elara Wahia"] “Going to need your instincts for this one, call it as you see it” Kei said directly to her, her instincts were one of the reasons he valued her, “also keep an eye out," a nod given toward the scavengers and Nikto beginning to meet and greet each other, an interesting mix for certain.
“Welcome, not used to fancy ships and tech.” An older Morellian CEO? Kei could tell... because apparently it said CE and what looked like half an O in big letters across his dirty jumpsuit, when he shook his hand it left a great greasy stain, the hands on type, Kei preferred that.
The ships the SSC had landed in were anything but fancy, yet to this planet they were a few hundred years ahead of them. Some of the Morellians were already poking about the shuttles, keen to perhaps disassemble them to scavenge them for parts, and a few surprised looks were coming from the nikto who were not exactly welcoming to people looking through their gear, or worse outright just help themselves!
The factory they were working on had her interest now, Matsu was sitting with the engineers and their droids as the scans were going around. She let some of the attention and mapping go to them while speaking. "Concentrate on these areas, work to confirmed and find the enforcers but do not attack them. We want friends while we get the factories up and running to produce and we'll see about getting the rest of the area fied up. I want the animals and anything of interest mapped out so we'll have a complete record." There was a look at them and they were going off while she checked her forearm pad with the holomap of the facilities and area. Matsu was letting some things go while the comlink chirped and she knew that [member="Kei Amadis"] was near with his wildcards likely.
Objective : #2 [Locals n' Fake Credits]
There wasn't much known about Morellia. The Silver Sanctum had sent the information they had scouted from the planet. The local population was dwindling at a steady rate. Wild animals had been introduced into the landscape. Non-native ones that were spreading across various areas. The Sanctum report held little else in way of information.
Salacia was here to scout out a new location. The planet was the type they enjoyed. Little in the way of government or population. Enough land to spread out and conduct manufacturing or research. Prying eyes could ruin a company if secrets were leaked.
A Silurus-class vessel exited hyperspace, coming upon the blue-green orb that was Morellia. Salacia had brought with them a group of experts to find the right place to build. As Judah had mentioned to [member="Dirks Hutchinson"] not too long ago, Salacia was looking to expand their reach. Between this planet and Vandelhelm it was the first step to reach their goal.
"Scanning the planet now, dropping down to do an orbital flyby....Initial scan is showing all signs of a hospitable atmosphere and climate."

Tempest gave a glance at the woman. She was vaguely familiar, though she could not remember her face or anything important. She seemed rather young, but she remembered the girl had been tough enough on Arkas. Besides, if she wasn’t then she’d made her choice.
“Captain Tempest,” she replied. She didn’t reply to the second part. She wasn’t sure if was an awkward greeting, a flirtatious comment or something else entirely. At that moment, she didn’t really care.
“If you’re coming with us know that we do not accept any liability for injuries or death which may happen,” she added tersely.
Back to her troops she turned. “Let’s roll out, girls! Get the walkerprepped! Solveig, your squad follows me and secures the landing. Raine, you’re going in by gunship once the LZ is cleared. Maeda, you’re babysitting the APCs as they land.”
The walker in question was a prototype model built on the lines of the AT-ST but with some improvements for the modern era.
Well, Tempest was being all official! Though that would not dissuade Elpsis much. In that regard she was a bit like a younger Siobhan. With...less of the psychological issues Siobhan had had back then. Also a bit lacking when it came to goals. Anyhow, she just gave Tempest a shrug, though she might have felt a bit sulky. On the bright side, the Captain had not said anything about her mother. "I can use a gun and set things on fire, so I'll be just fine," she replied firmly, not wavering when she looked upon the beskar-clad, very authoritative and thus immensely sexy Amazon. Attached to Elpsis' belt was the lightsabre she had taken off a dead Sith on Ruusan as a trophy.
She spared the massive war machine a glance when the walker was being loaded into the dropship. Perhaps for just a moment the wide-eyed look made her seem a lot closer to her actual age than normally. "That thing looks so cool," she declared. No, she was not going to pilot one. Firemane had strict rules against letting people without a license pilot dangerous war machines.
In any case, off they went as the host of dropships shot out of the hangar and swept down towards the planet, soon piercing the atmosphere. LZ was close to one of the few towns that were still intact on the planet, though the buildings had seen better days.
Word was that it had been afflicted by attacks from wild beasts, who supposedly still prowled close by. Upon landing, Firemane troopers would fan out and set up perimeter defences in preparation for the next wave and heavy vehicles. Dust was thrown up when the transports landed and a harsh wind blew their way.
It was unfair! Father got to go into the engine room and Théo did not! He wouldn't touch anything, well not much but still!
Mother had boarded the ship by now, he knew that much as he sensed her presence. He decided to venture off down a different corridor of the ship. This ship is fascinating, so different to the other ships Théo had been on and there was much to explore, let alone what he could discover on Morellia. This trip would see Théo visit a new world for him, only ever having traveled between three of the known SSC planets and he is very excited.
He rounded a corner only to make his first discovery! A young man striding ahead of him, white hair and a big sword hanging down his back. Oh... now Théo needed to get a closer look at that blade!
Théo walked behind him, sizing him up for the moment and thinking, I could take him, he does not look that strong. I wonder where he is going? The thoughts of a child shifting as quick as the wind.
He ran forward now until along side the young man and fell into step arms swinging the same as he. It was like they are marching and Théo grinned, did not say a word but would mirror anything the guy would do. Geez kids can be annoying that way ..
Objective: 1 Build Survival Training School ((lesser extent Jedi Enclave
Location: Ship enroute to Morellia
Allies: [member="Coci Heavenshield"] [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] [member="Taiden Keth"] [member="Théodred Heavenshield"]
Xander rode in the back of the ship with a platoon of engineers part of a new Delta Division within the armed forces of SSC. They were big on both tech and helping the helpless. They were headed to a planet called Morellia to work on building and retrofitting a Survival school. Plus lend a hand to some of the Jedi Master's in building an Enclave.
He was not entirely sure what all they were carrying. He knew some heavy equipment plus a small assortment of defensive capablilites. They would be using speeders to get to the build site. He was still working on becoming an official Ranger. This was part of his training. He felt at home among the Troopers.
"Commander we are ready to depart."
Xander hesitated a minute before realizing he was been spoken to. He could not get used to having a rank.
"Ok thank you Captain." "Let's get underway then."
Xander strapped himself in as the ship lifted off.
The vessel swept the planet, scanning and taking in the sights. They had seen a few villages so far, mainly looking abandoned. No one sentient had came out to look at them. Perhaps they were too scared too, fearing the worst of the visitors. It wouldn't surprise anyone if slavers had come to the world before and rounded up folks for their sick 'trade'.
The vessel had been flying low for some time when it was decided to come to a stop. A mountain range extended in the short distance with the vessel finding a flatish field to land on. Large hills dotted the landscape around the mountain ranges with a few trees mixed in.
Salacia employees would step out and begin to look around. Judah himself was on board, walking out into the brilliant sunshine. Eyes squinted against the brightness, looking at their location. It was nice. Out of the way. They could build into the base of the mountain if they wanted. Keep the landscape pristine.
"Start doing research, gathering samples. Geology, mind seeing if those mountains got any volcanic activity?"
"Oh we're off to..." Whoa... Leina stopped as she was starring at something amazing, awesome, super exciting... The grand daddy of everything cool and epic and and and and.... sweet. "Master [member="Coci Heavenshield"]." SHe whispered it into the comlink and continued to look at the thing in front of her as the rangers, medics and jedi she had brought with here was standing there. "You won't believe what I found... it is amazing, it is awesome... Like like tens times cooler then the discovery of that stuff in the mess hall you spread on the bread and it is from Dxun where everything wants to kill you.... Oh this is so exciting... I know what I want for life day."
Location: Run down MWC factory
Objective: Be Kip
Allies: None
Enemies: Maybe the sanctum
Taking a long drag of a cigarette the Sith Acolyte hovered over the dead body of a Morellian boy no older than sixteen. Exhaling black smoke from his lungs, the man sat atop a block of cement as other teenaged boys and girls stood around him with horrible amounts of fear in their eyes. Taking another drag he held the smoke in his lungs and for a moment then exhaled as he spoke.
"And that's why I'm in charge." he said as smoke left his mouth.
"Any questions?" He asked.
The children looked at him and there was nothing but silence and heads shaking back and forth. The man smiled an uncaring grin then then took another drag of his cigarette before tossing it down onto the boy's body.
"I will weep for you Tomas" He said and exhaled the last of his poison.
Kip had been on Morellia for a few weeks now, and in that time he had been busy. Now since the netherworld and other various events a lot of people here had been out of touch, and that was just the way Kip liked it. Using his prowess in the force the acolyte was able to round up children and teenagers to bend them to his will, convincing them that he was their savior that would lead them to better days on another planet far far away. This was of course was a lie, he cared not for these children and he only wished to build up his own agenda. And indoctrination was a good way to have a loyal soldier for the entirety of their short and miserable lives. Besides, it wasn't like the acolyte could pull down much more, he was just student.
"Sally." he said turning his head to face one of his frightened subjects, staring at her with uncaring eyes.
"Yyy-yes, K-kk-Kip?" She said with a clear stutter of fear.
"Be a doll and clean Tomas off my floor, then get supper ready." he said in his thick Corellian accent.
The child did so for fear of joining Tomas and soon the children began to leave and go about their business in the back of the abandoned factory. Kip continued to stay there until he heard the sound of ships breaking atmosphere and the sanctum coming to save the day.
"Parties over I suppose." He said as he hopped up from his seat and prepared himself to gather up his followers and take them off world with him.
Objective: Get to Morellia Location: On board a Jo'henry-class mining vessel
"See? You just gotta keep those two wires separated, or else you'll short circuit the entire panel," Thurion explained to the young man.
"Oh, I see. S-sorry, sir, it's my first day working in engineering," his uneven voice replied, taking notice of the two wires.
"That's alright, son. Keep that light steady for me and we'll have this done in no time."
"Sure thing, I-I can do that. Sooo... Is it true what they say about you, Master Heavenshield?"
"I don't know, what do they say about me?" he asked as he kept working on the panel.
"That... That you would rather let Sith go than... k-kill them." Thurion paused to give the boy a stern look.
"You shouldn't listen to rumours, kid," he simply said before resuming work, but only for a moment. He let out a sigh. "I have fought plenty Sith in my days, long before even coming into contact with the Silver Order. Each time I couldn't bring myself to end their lives. There is still good in them - well, some of them."
"You weren't there for the founding of the Order?" the young man asked with a great deal of interest.
"No, I only joined after the Order was created and set up on Voss. Hand me that thing, will you?" The rookie engineer reached for the tool on the ground.
"They're called pliers," he replied with some confidence before handing them to the Grandmaster.
"Thank you. No, back then the Order was run by Jedi Master Iella E'ron. She and a handful others were the ones who founded it. I guess you could say those were the good old days..." Seemed so very long ago now. A simpler time. "Got it!" Moments later the panel lit up, indicating it was working properly. The youngster by his side smiled cheek-to-cheek. Rather than getting up immediately, Thurion grabbed him by the arm to keep him in place as he spoke. "Do not feel so ready to hand out judgements on a moment's notice, son. People are not simple; they make mistakes in life, some of which they wished they hadn't. Others are too blind to notice, or too set in their ways believing it's too late for them. No man or woman is born with darkness in their hearts, just as no-one is born without it."
"But... you don't have any darkness in you, do you, sir?"
"We all do. It's only a matter of it controlling you, or you controlling it. Even Jedi and Sith are just people in the end." The footsteps of an approaching [member="Coci Heavenshield"] echoed down the hall, meaning it was time for take-off. "Remember, son: There can be no light without darkness, just as there can be no darkness without light."
"I think I understand," the young man nodded. "Thanks for the help, by the way. With the panel and all..." Thurion offered the lad a pat on the shoulder. "Don't mention it."
By then Coci had arrived, no doubt wondering why her husband was knee-deep in engineering. Thurion beamed a smile upon crawling back out to meet her. "Nah, this young man just wanted to show me his solution to fixing electrical panels. He's quite the prodigy, aren't you?" The rookie simply smiled and nodded, his confidence restored. Thurion gave him a wink before taking his wife by the hand and leave the engineering deck.
Objective 1. Build and fortify Silver Sanctum Jedi Enclave of Morellia. Location: On board a Jo'henry-class rare minerals mining vessel.
(3)
After the tinkering two had concluded, Coci smiled and bid the young engineer a good day. Thurion lead her back to the turbolife, as once inside Coci turned to look up into her husband's face. She noticed a small blemish and so she moved in front of him. "Here let me get that", she said softly and enjoy a few moments with him alone. With the edge of her cuff she removed a small smug of grease off his cheek. Her hand dropped to his shoulder and fuzzed with his collar not that there was anything wrong with it, it is simply a habit of hers. Black eyes met sparkling blue, and she neared moving to reach up to kiss his lips, he is so much taller than her. But even now, after all these years, her stomach flutters each time she draws near to him. The opening of the turbolift doors would reveal a wife finishing her kiss to the man she loves.
The bridge of the ship lay before them, a most practical one and no sense of luxury, this is a mining vessel and so all facilities and necessities are moderate. Once the grand master was on the bridge, orders are give to set off for Morellia and soon the tunnel of hyperspace flooded the cockpit and sensors worked over time. They would reach Morellia just in time to see the rising sun.
A beep on her comlink, Coci opens communications and receives an intriguing message for Knight Snowfire, a knight she knows very little of, "Knight Snowfire, whatever you have found I suggest you bring it to the bridge".
As George prepared for the journey ahead to Morellia, he was uncertain of what he would face there, it was one of the many planets he had not visited and was still learning what to take and what not to take. Especially on an expedition like this one. To build facilities on the planets surface. Not really George's thing, but it did seem exciting and seeing there were no Vinterbound like the last expedition he had taken it was actually quite a relaxing time for him. Might even learn a thing or two.
Anyhow as George prepared a small bag with some food, water and little bits and bobs he made sure his lightsabers were locked in and kept safe, he didn't think he would have to use them, but better to be safe than sorry. He looked outside as the rain poured down, he smiled with the though of the rain. It was his home, he loved the water, but he knew he could bask in its glory today, no he had things to do. As he flung the bag over his shoulder he stood out into the rain as he made his way towards the mining vessel that would take him and his co-workers to Morellia for their next adventure. He made his way aboard just in time as the ramp came up right behind him. He made his way to the bridge where the commander, well Grandmaster was stationed. It wasn't luxurious, but it was a bridge, the ship ran from here and thats the main thing. "Hello Grandmaster, and Master Coci. Seems like I made it just in time." He said with a beaming smile as he entered the room seeing the lovely couple at the wheel.

Well this was certainly a lot different than she had been use to in the last few years. Elara looked about the dilapidated factory, and then to Kei her instincts. She laughed inside her head and thought my instincts are going, we’ve lost our minds.
They were going to refit this, to do what again?
Carefully she stepped, really carefully. She had thought the underworld on Nar Shadaa was full of buckets and bolts, but this place was literally and figurative filled with buckets of nuts and bolts.
She nodded to Kei as she began to listen, and watch. She tried not to smile too much always uncertain how her smile would be accepted. She neared the Morellians she wanted to be friendly, helpful, and satisfy her own curiosity about them
She moved over to the group poking at another container of parts, “Ok, you guys have been waiting on this ? Well, your building needs help.” Lots of help. Elara wasn’t always the warm and fuzzy type but she was trying.
Really trying.
As the Morellians reached in hand after hand, like greedy children, she found herself growling low. They stopped, she looked at them. “So. You want to see what we have, and we want to share, but first. We need to fix some of this up.” Like clean some of the unwanted, unneeded scrap and sell it to some salvager for credits to put back into the factory for upgrades, and things.
She could figure that out.
“What works, and what doesn’t around here”
