- Hunter Killer: The Nebulon Ulysses is a swift and deadly light freighter, personally modified by Vrun Ryssic to boast both high speeds and maneuverability, as well as significant firepower, to pursue and take out hostile targets.
- Stealth Ship: With the combination of the MK.III Stygium Cloak, and the Whisperthrust engines erasing any emissions trailing the Ulysses, the Light Freighter is both cloaked and untraceable when outside of combat.
- Fight or Flight: The Stealth Systems cannot be activated while the Nebulon Ulysses weapon systems are primed and active, meaning that once entering into combat, the vessel needs to power down all weapons and defensive systems before returning to stealth flight.
- Power Distribution: The Loki EWAR System is reliant on the Nebulon Ulysses power banks and if hit by ionized weapons fire, any jamming of hostile sensors and communications will fail.
- No Reception?: While the Freyja Communications System is a high-security communications package, the comm's remain fully reliant upon the starships antenna array and if this is damaged in combat, then all communications will be blocked from reaching friendlies.
The Nebulon Ulysses is a highly modified ZH-40 Tribune-class light freighter, originally manufactured by Starfeld Industries, later purchased by Vrun Ryssic and from then on the Trandoshan continued to upgrade, replace and modify the vessels parts as time went on. Part of the appeal for the Trandoshan is the vessel's somewhat ancient model, a marvel that such a ship could still be in such prime condition today.
The vessels original Quad Novaldex JV-74 engines have been swapped out for a Whisperthrust Engine in order to mask the vessels emission path, making it near impossible for other vessels to track the Nebulon Ulysses in real space. To capitalize on the vessel's ability to stay under the radar, the addition of a Stygium Cloak has also been fitted to the freighter; The Clock requires a large portion of the vessel's power output and therefore cannot be utilized within combat without crippling the freighters primary systems.
Speaking of combat effectiveness, however, the capacitor banks and capacitor overcharge allows for amplified firepower far above the standard laser cannons outfitted to the average freighter of today. Alongside these Laser Cannons, are also the torpedo launchers armed with three different types of missile (Ion, Proton and Advanced Cluster Missiles).
Where general purpose is concerned, the Nebulon Ulysses can remain space-bound for three months before needing to head ground side in order to restock cargo and everyday supplies. The Cargo Hold itself can hold up to 85 metric tons. Living quarters within the vessel are nothing special, however, consisting of one shared room with bunks able to cater to four passengers at a time, and eight if passengers are willing to sleep in shifts. Although the chances are very slim that Vrun Ryssic will be sharing company with anyone not restrained in binders.
