The Night of your Dreams (Open)

f27eb57f0550b895c4a4be35e96362a6.jpg

It was time to celebrate. Dal'Bor was on the upswing, for the first time in over one thousand years, the city was united and crime was in the single digits. With the extermination of the feudal crimelords and the unification under Justice Shipping, and their lord James Justice, the city was truly looking hopeful. Mothers could go to work without fear of extortion, kidnapping, or robbery. And to this end, James was here to make a celebration that would never be forgotten.

The city of Vice had a reputation of pleasure, one that he was intent on keeping. As the sun was setting for the 24 hours of hedonism that the city called night, shop keepers were making final preparations. Drinks were half off or more, drugs were at a third of the price or less, dancers were priming themselves up for their performances, musicians for their solos, and the single men and women for a chance at wanton ecstasy. Any pleasure that could be desired was there to be had, and James was more than pleased to see that his city was showing up with its life and vigor.

He stepped out into the streets before adjusting his leather jacket, he was a leader by example of course, it was time to get out there and savor the rampant pleasure. He of course, had extended a personal invitation to the other man who helped make this possible, @Thraxis. It was with his bloodlust and iron fist that the city had been united and liberated.

OOC: All are welcome, have fun in the City of Vice. However, trouble makers will be shot on site.

Stardust needed the occasional down time....even if she herself wasn't a real big party person but hey, sometimes you have to take your man out and show the girls who you have and what they don't have

OK OK...maybe stardust wouldn't do that intentionally....but maybe just a little bit

So here she was in a hotel looking at a few dresses she could wear"gray dear I can't decided....blue low cut or the satin black dress with he cut down the back

Saoirse had never been around these parts before. The city was new to her, but with a name like the City of Vice she knew she would have a good time. She had heard of its reputation, of course. It certainly had its appeal. Would it compare to Zeltros though? Only time would show. It was a tough one to beat, but even if a city was able to compete that was good enough.

The outfit for the evening was a two-piece crop top with a pencil skirt. The skirt stretched down to just above her knees and seemed to fit her perfectly. The top was sleeveless, had a round neck, and a zipper on the back. Both skirt and top was fully lined with a floral lace overlay, the bottom of the top was made to look ripped right where it cut off above her stomach. What she wore left plenty of space to showcase her tattoos, from the black serpent-like one crawling around her left arm in carved up pieces, the image painted on her left forearm, to the intricate and large piece that covered her neckline. The look she had gone for was high-fashion that exuded the femme-fatale appeal. She felt party-perfect.

The blonde moved down the street, eyeing her surroundings. She was looking for the perfect location to start her evening. What the city had in store for her she did not know, but she was ready to explore. The only damper to her mood was the fact that she was all out of spice. If she could get her hands on some her night could truly kick off in proper style. In a place like this she wasn't too worried.

LOCATION: DAL'BOR
CURRENT MOOD: RELIEVED

The city was magnificent. Brightly colored neon advertisements and vibrant streetlights shone on the streets, more than making up for the lack of sunlight. The buildings were tall and proud, lit by an entire spectrum of colors. The crowds on the street were joyful, to say the least. People of all species frolicking to and fro on a whim, to satiate their pleasures. One minute, you would see a street performer playing a classic tune by tapping little glass cups. Then, a few yards down the way, you'd notice a club, packed tight with bodies, all wanting to have a good time while times were good. Then, even further, a drug deal was going on. All men and women, indulging in themselves. Ghorua thought it was beautiful.

Ghorua the Shark was an imposing figure, one that stuck out in a crowd like a sore thumb. He stood nearly twice as tall as all around him, his slick black skin glimmering with color as he stood there, reveling in the revel. The genetically-modified Herglic wore no armor, no visible weapons, only a black wifebeater, and his favorite pair of cargo shorts. He had needed this; something to take his mind from his worries. The Hunter had heard of the holiday, and decided to see what all of the hubbub was about. He was not disappointed.

Ghorua wore a genuine smile, sharp teeth glinting in an expression of mirth. Arms crossed over his chest, he observed as a troupe of dancers, men and women, worked their way around a makeshift circle in the crowd, masterfully performing difficult acrobatic feats as they performed. They knew how to work the crowd, that was for sure. They blew kisses and caressed faces as they went around the circle.

The massive Herglic shook his head, happiness filling his body. His eyes, deep black circles, sparked with an inner joy.

I should really get out more often.

James, the king of the city, was for now, just another hedonistic party goer. It was important for him to get out of his tower frequently. It kept him humble, and in touch with the people he loved. Plus, it was a great excuse to savor the parties.

The spacer reached into his pocket and pulled out his comm, typing out a quick text to [member="Gray Raxis"] and [member="Stardust Raxis"]

"Found a great place. Meet me at 906 Westlayne."

Tucking the device in his pocket, he turned the corner and saw what looked like a rather shattering good time. Her skirt, her blouse, the way she walked said she could be a good time--even if just for tonight.

The spacer quickly ran his hand through his classically messy hair before swaggering up to her with his signature charismatic smile, "Hello there, miss. You look new to the city. Mind if I show ye round?"

[member="Saoirse Reyes"]

[member="James Justice"] [member="Stardust Raxis"] [member="Gray Raxis"] [member="Saoirse Reyes"] [member="Ghorua the Shark"]

Twas then a scoundrel emerged!

A ragged man with a heavy step. James would recognize him instantly and feel a dark chaotic swirl of energy about him. Jack Raxis, notorious outlaw from quite some time ago had returned. Once the mighty leader of the Raxis Clan and a Mando'ade, now reduced to Dar'Jettii Dar'Manda status.

But that fit him just fine.

"Fancy new place you got here friend."

The deep voice boomed from underneath the silver gray armor. Wolfs fur and scorch marks were his decorations now. The shotgun as normal was over his shoulder, riding cowboy style.

"Pray tell what brings you here? I feel my kin nearby."

Saoirse had no idea that the man who approached her was king of the city. She did not know his name or his position, here or elsewhere. All she knew was that he was someone offering to be her guide to a foreign place. It sounded rather convenient, and was not an offer the unladylike lady was about to refuse.

"Hey there" she replied, eyeing him over real quick, as if trying to measure what kind of character he was. "You got that right. Got here today actually" she hadn't really had time to explore much outside of her hotel residence. That was what tonight was for.

She wondered how he had called the fact that she was new. Did she look that out of place, or did he just know everyone? Had she been a more insecure woman, she might've wondered if she had not dressed appropriately for the occasion. Saoirse was not an insecure woman, however, and so she didn't. She knew she looked good.

Random stranger offering to show her around? Why not. Everyone here were strangers. She had to meet people at some point. And there was something about that charismatic smile that persuaded her to go along with it. She could always change her mind at any point during the interaction.

"Sure, I could use a guide" she said with a smile. Pausing for a moment, she realized - oh, he might be one of those people. "You're not gonna charge me after, right?" Have her walking all around town, pretending it to be a friendly gesture, only to reveal at the very end that payment was expected.

Twas then a scoundrel emerged! Saoirse looked over towards [member="Jack Raxis"] as he started talking to the man in front of her. She didn't know this one either, no surprise there. Though the fact that he appeared to be in full armour and with a shotgun over his shoulder had her thinking that perhaps she ought to have brought her blaster pistol after all. He was trouble. Somehow, she always managed to find herself in some sort of trouble. She kind of liked trouble.

[member="James Justice"]

James reached into his leather jacket pocket and fished out a pair of cigarettes as he chuckled slightly; one for him and one for the lady. The subtle scent of his Zelton pheramones began to fill the air in a tangy, subtle scent. James reached into his leather jacket pocket and fished out a pair of cigarettes as he chuckled slightly, one for him and one for the lady. "No, 'course not, miss. Ye just looked like company and I," he gave a mischevious smile, "Well, I do enjoy the company of a lovely lady such as yeself."

The spacer heard as much as felt the presence of Jack come up behind him. A bluster of memories from so long ago rushed across James' mind, bringing a smile to his face, "I'll be damned, Jack, I could have sworn ye were dead."

The spacer offered his hand in a firm shake with a slap on his shoulder.

To answer the question he spread his arms wide in a grand gesture, "Everything ye see, this city is mine. It seemed as good a place as any to lay down stakes. I were just 'bout to show the lovely," he stopped himself with a chuckle, "Naow I dun't believe I caught ye name, love.""No, 'course not, miss. Ye just looked like company and I," he gave a mischevious smile, "Well, I do enjoy the company of a lovely lady such as yeself."

Womanising. It was the way he remembered James. Except he seemed... older and much more strong of accent than he could recall. Instead of the light-hearted scoundrel, he was talking about settling. Laying down stakes as it were. The Clan's of the Mandalorian empire were on the move, and Jack could hardly, think of such a thing.

Settling....

It left a bad taste in his mouth. In fact, many things he used to enjoy had that effect nowadays.

"Oh I'm far from dead. I'm coming back to life, and I intend to leave my mark on this galaxy before I exit into the great beyond."

He turned to the woman, smirking under his helmet.

"Jack Raxis, Captain of the Rogue." She hadn't asked him, but he felt the question burning within her anyways.

"Do either of you fancy a strong drink? Perhaps Ol' James here has a favourite bar? I think a bit of catching up might be in order."

Gray was being thrown around all over the place lately following the call of the force, building a new company from scratch, being the head of his clan, and just helping out the Mandalorian Empire. He was hardly having time to have fun lately, so when the chance came up for him to do just that he was on top of it. He was late showing up because he had some last minute business to attend to, so he let [member="Stardust Raxis"] head out first. He arrived soon enough, even though he had already gotten a text from [member="James Justice"] about a place. Guess that meant he should head that way. So he did.

Gray eventually arrived where James had asked him to go to. He came out dressed casually despite the chance of fancy dressing. He wanted to just be comfortable right now and have a few drinks with a good friend. He couldn't really hit on women any ways because then his wife would murder them, at least if they flirted back. He had his lightsaber Whisper hilt hung by his right leg. He could hear the soft hum of content from the quirky little crystal. He walked into the place and immediately felt a dark, yet familiar energy in the place. He frowned a bit as he tried to puzzle it out, but could not exactly place it. He eventually smiled normally and said as he walked over to the group, " Greetings everyone! Did someone call for things to get a little Gray in here?" Oh how he missed the bad puns. He hadn't had a chance to do them lately.

Kay was going to go and meet up with everyone. In fact, she was already there, on the street. But then she had second thoughts. There was something very important that she wanted to talk to [member="James Justice"] about, something that she wanted to do in person. But no. Now was not the time. A lot of one night stands and such were going to happen tonight and she just didn't want to be around those types. Nor was she fond of spices and too much drinking. Basically everyone that she knew made fun of her for it, telling her that she just didn't know how to have 'fun' because she did neither of those things.

So she hung about for a few minutes longer, watching while everyone else 'lived' and she just stood there like a ghost from the past. It was an odd feeling, to be close to people yet detached from everyone at the same time. And it was very uncomfortable too.

Kay turned around and started to head back towards the landing platform to her ship. Waiting until morning would be stupid. Everyone would be hung over and going through withdrawals. Maybe some other time then.

Saoirse accepted the cigarette without hesitation. She had no qualms about such things. The blonde was unaware that the man had Zeltron genes and was using his pheromone control to influence the emotions of those who found themselves in his immediate surroundings. Though unaware she was far from immune. If anything it made her a bit more positively inclined towards him. She also found herself less concerned about him being a scam artist, giving him the benefit of the doubt.

The woman gave a little chuckle and a smile in return. He was confident and comfortable in his own skin, she'd give him that. The accent was new though, she couldn't remember hearing that before. She wondered where he was from originally. "Good. Do you know this place well?" there was always the chance he knew just as little about this place as she did, but just used it as an excuse to spend some time with her. Even if that was the case, she wasn't sure if she'd mind that. It was funny, and exploring new locations was always better in company than alone. Later she gathered he was quite familiar, from the way he talked about the city, so she got her answer. Whether he truly owned it or if it was a figure of speech, she did not know

So the guy with the shotgun was called Jack. Clearly these two were old buddies. She was totally third-wheeling it at the moment. She smiled amused at him when he brought up her name, and offered "Saoirse" Now that they were all properly introduced, she though Jack's suggestion seemed excellent. "I could use a drink" she said with a shrug. "I don't mean to crash your reunion party though" she said with a hint of a playful smile on her lips. Saoirse didn't want to get in the way of them catching up, but somehow she imagined they didn't mind her company terribly.

It was a nice evening, a cool breeze drifting through the air...

Denn slowly made his way around the streets, wandering mostly. He slowly puffed away at a cigar, the smoke drifting up into the night sky before dissipating. He walked slowly, leisurely walking down a quiet stretch. Reaching into his jacket with his left hand, he pulled a small flask from his inner right breast pocket. Unscrewing the lid with his one hand, he tipped it back, the strong liquor passing through his lips. The taste to him was smooth... dry. Replacing the small flask, he reached into his vest pocket, checking the time on a small pocket watch. Looks like he would be late. He didn't care much, to be honest. He wasn't much of a party goer, the drugs and the keg stands... he left that to the young bucks, his tastes were far more refined. As he wandered the streets, he felt a pang of self pity. What was he even doing out here? As he'd convinced himself, he wasn't a party goer anymore. Maybe he was looking for something else, not just a night of wasted time and memory. These 'networking events' as he liked to refer to them did help expand his network of contacts... but he hated it.

He replaced the pocket watch in his vest pocket, gently pulling his jacket back over. He reached into the deep pocket on his left, fingers resting on a communications device. With a sigh, he pulled it out, looking to see if he'd gotten anything. He knew there were a few of his acquaintances out this night, but he wasn't surprised to see the blank screen on his phone. He wasn't the most social type, maybe it was time he reached out this time, he'd spent too many years just letting things fly his way on their own. He quickly typed with his off hand, the cigar still burning in the other.

:: James, it's Denn Ralto. Heard there was a party around these parts, didn't get a location exactly. Been wanderin mostly, let me know if there's a shindig.::

Did that sound too strange? He couldn't be sure. He shrugged his shoulders silently as he went back to his cigar. He let his feet lead him, heading nowhere in particular, the comm device nearly forgotten in his pocket as he took in the sights and smells of this place. His eyes caught a familiar figure a short distance away... What was her name? K something... Kylie... Kial... Kay. That's what it was. Wasn't that James' sister? He reached down, slowly putting out the cigar at his feet, grinding the stub into the ground. He stood back up, catching the sight of the woman disappearing from view.

*C'mon now, get goin.*

Denn took a few quick steps, rounding the corner. For a moment, he thought he'd lost her, and then he saw her farther down the way. It looked like she was headed back to a landing pad. There were a few, but it looked pretty evident she was heading towards one of them. He caught up pretty quick, she wasn't moving very quickly. As he approached he was sure to take a few heavier steps before speaking, he didn't want to spook her or catch her by surprise, no one liked that.

"Excuse me miss, Kay is it?"

He raised a hand in a half wave, trying to smile as he addressed her. He read her posture and was suddenly unsure. It wasn't that she'd appeared upset exactly, but there seemed to be something lurking beneath her outward demeanor.

"Looks like you're headed in, not out. Not much for the party life? Can't say I blame ya."

He offered up a sympathetic smile. He wasn't sure what the situation was, but from what he remembered, she didn't seem the type for loud music and overly intoxicated club scenes. He bowed slightly.

"Denn Ralto, we met a while back?"

The man trailed off, allowing the woman a moment. It wasn't that he'd snuck up on her, but he didn't want to be intrusive either. There was a fine balance between being polite and being annoying.

Kay slowed down to a halt as she heard a somewhat familiar voice speak her name. She turned around and was surprised to see that [member="Denn Ralto"] had followed her. Did [member="James Justice"] send him to fetch her or something? His comment of her not wanting to stick around for the party told her otherwise. She bowed her head to the man, offering him a polite smile as she held out her hand for him to shake while she introduced herself. "Good to see you again, Denn. And thank you again for helping us to get off the Graveyard. I'm sure that James rewarded you well for it?" And by that she figured that James had given Denn plenty of work and credits.

She gripped the strap of her satchel as she always did. It was her crutch. "And no, I'm not much of a partier in that sense. So..I figured that I'd do better to go to a quiet place for some tea. What about you? James didn't send you to find me, did he?"

"Oh trust me, Darling," the spacer said moving to wrap an arm around [member="Saoirse Reyes"], "My night is lookin' better every second ye are here. Come on, I know a place where the drinks are free for me and company."

Of course, that was every building in the city but... who cares? He led his trio of friends to the 906 Westlayne, a club named the Riff. Moving past the line at the front door, James led his friends in past the bouncer. Here the music blared with a deathly roar as the floor was over crowded with dancers in a mass of ecstatic sexual deviance. Several pole dancers twirled their bodies in erotic, swinging movements, stirring up a feeling of desire that could be felt through the Force as a tangy, sweet euphoria.

The spacer led his party through this mass, up a set of stairs to the catwalk that overlooked the mass of debachery, he might go down and join it--later, perhaps, but certainly not alone. He leaned back against the rail lining the edge of the walkway, reserving a spot for Saorise.

"Will you be having anything, Mr Justice?" asked a near-human waiter with a soft Correllian accent approaching them.

"My usual, mate, and whatever my friends will be having," James said with a nod.

"Of course, sir."

The spacer caught sight of [member="Gray Raxis"] on the floor and waved him over.

"So, tell me, Jack," James began, "How have the times been?" He gave Sasorise a slightly mischevious look, "And I am equally interested to learn all I can about ye, miss."

Denn took the woman's hand, shaking it firmly but gently. She mentioned Graveyard. Now that was a story he'd not likely forget any time soon. He nodded in agreement with the woman's statement.

"Sure did, able to get the ol' Genesis patched up mighty fine. Even upgraded a few of the old couplings, I won't bore you with mechanic speak though."

Truth be told, he'd even been able to stash some of what James had paid him away, tucked away in a 'rainy day' fund. Working with the duo had been almost necessary at the time, but he found them to be savory folk.

"Glad to help, worked out pretty nice for all of us I suppose."

He took a deep breath of the night air, looking out at the city from where he was standing. Lights flickered in the distance, a few ships and party barges floating high in the sky. It was actually kind of nice out here. After growing up and living on Nar Shaddaa for most of his early life, a 'nice' city wasn't what he was particularly used to. This place was cleaner, and there was definitely not as much crime. He hadn't seen any strange lurkers or vagabonds either. The night was just getting started for the wild ones, those days had come and gone for Denn, now he had more refined tastes. The drunken nights and hazy memories weren't something he cared much for. He shifted slightly before turning to look at Kay again. He smiled, releasing a quiet chuckle.

"Well ma'am, I can't say I really enjoy the atmosphere. All them flashing lights and heavy music, doesn't do much but stress me out."

He paused for a moment at her other question, shaking his head and frowning slighty.

"Can't say he did. I've been wandering the streets for a little while, just relaxing really. Caught sight of you around that last corner."

He motioned back the way he'd come.

"Haven't heard from him yet this evening actually, I'm sure he's up to his neck in... celebration." He paused. "I don't want to intrude, but would you care for any company?"

He wasn't sure what the woman's plans were exactly, and he didn't want to interfere with her down-time either, he knew how important it could be to just spend time alone. In the same breath, he didn't know what else there was to do here. Admittedly, this was his first time on the planet. He hadn't seen much that sparked his interest so far, but maybe the woman would have a suggestion if she was inclined to retire for the evening.

Kay was glad that his ship held out from the strong gravitational and magnetic pull from the Graveyard. And upgrades too? That was a bonus.

It wasn't often that she came across someone that wasn't a heavy drinker or a womaniser. She knew her brother was that way at times. One of these days she was going to hit him hard over the head and knock some sense into him.

Kay raised a brow slightly, but smiled as [member="Denn Ralto"] asked her if she wanted company. "Some company would be nice, thank you. Though I wasn't going anywhere special, just to my ship." The Free Lady wasn't that special of a ship either. (( http://starwarsrp.net/topic/82788-the-free-lady-yt-1300-modified/#entry1217892 ))

"Are you fond of tea? I have caf as well if you prefer. And a little of Commenor's Brandy." She continued towards the platform, giving him room to walk beside her. More than likely her pilot Terrac was sleeping, so they'd be safe from his old man grumpiness.

Kaargin woke up in a stir. The ship he hitched a ride on had just landed on Dal'Bor. He got up and looked at the door as opened. One of the ship attendants walked up to him, "This is your stop sir." Kaargin nodded and walked off the ship.

Kaargin's nose scrunched up as he smelled in the aroma of alcohol and spice in the air. He coughed a couple of times from the surprise smells.

He gathered his senses and began to walk into the city.

Denn gave the woman a half smile.

"I've no qualms with that ma'am, sometimes a quiet night is good for the soul."

He took a small step closer to Kay. Denn began to offer her his arm, but hesitated as he returned it to his side. Not everyone subscribed to his particular brand of manners, it was a dying tradition, that much was sure. Instead, he gestured forward, his eyes drifting down the street before coming back to the woman.

"If you'd care to lead?" He chuckled. "Well, I can't say that I've had a lot of tea but I'd be willing to give it a shot."

He looked out into the night, breathing the relatively cool air, just enjoying being outside, and he couldn't ask for better company. Denn hadn't learned too much about James and Kay during their encounter on Graveyard, just enough to know that they were fairly private people and that suited him just fine. He was glad to be able to help them out, and in turn he was rewarded with a more steady string of work, significantly so compared to the freelance work he usually took on. They seemed like a good sort. As they walked away from where he'd caught up to her he looked over.

"So, if you're not the party goer, what do you do for fun?"

This was pleasant, a break from the constant rushing from job to job. It had been a long time since Denn had just relaxed and taken a moment to enjoy living, rather than just surviving. Memories pushed at him, but he forced them back, he could deal with those another time... Now? Now was the time for calm and rest.

Kay bowed her head as [member="Denn Ralto"] allowed her to lead. All the while she was thinking of his hesitation as he took a small step. What was he thinking of doing that he then changed his mind on? Usually it was her that was the hesitant one, especially when people got near her. "Sapir tea is one of my favourites. It's very soothing. At least to me it is. But then I could just be used to it. I drink it every day." Many times a day, actually. It was her little addiction. But there were far worse things to be addicted to.

As he asked her what it is that she liked to do for fun, she thought about it for a moment before answering him. "On this world? It's not usually fun that brings me here. I only come here when my brother needs me, or if I need him. It's not exactly the right place for me. I'm more comfortable on Commenor and Bakura. There's much to do there out in the mountains and by the lakes. I'm not much of a city dweller."

But in the future she'll have to be. Kay wanted to tell [member="James Justice"] about her going into the race of becoming the Madam President of Commenor. Yet he was not in the right mindset to hear such news and respond to it properly. Whether he would like the idea or not, she wasn't sure. But she wanted to tell him in person. "What is it that you like to do for fun?"
