Denn's feet kept him at pace with the woman, listening as she spoke. A light breeze sent a shiver down his back despite the jacket he wore. He nodded as Kay spoke about her love of tea, feeling a little bit lost. He assumed that she'd likely feel the same way if he was speaking about his profession in great detail. That was alright with Denn, not everything had to be about work, sometimes you had to take a moment to live the life you were so busy trying to work for.

"I'd be willing to try it, I appreciate the offer."

As she spoke, he continued to appreciate what scenery there was, looking back at Kay occasionally as they walked together. Denn had grown up on Nar Shaddaa, so he felt comfortable enough in the city but he didn't like it. Personally he preferred the wide outdoors, enjoying time fishing and camping. He'd had his fill of jungles for a while now though...

"Can't say I've ever been to Commenor, or Bakura. Might have to head out that way sometime."

Denn smiled at the thought of a true vacation. Maybe a week or so out in the wilderness would be nice, spend some time camping, fishing, and just relaxing. Nowhere to be, nothing to worry about. It sounded like a page out of the books he liked to read.

"Well, can't say I hold much love for the city neither, but I grew up on Nar Shaddaa. For fun? I like to get out of the city. Campin' and fishin' mostly."

As the two continued walking, landing pads and docking bays started to become more frequent. Some of the ships he could name by model, others appeared to be pieced together, not really looking like anything he'd seen before. A few of the ships looked so alien to him, he wondered at how they even flew. Continuing to walk beside the woman, he took a deep breath of the night air, just happy to be alive.

It wasn't long before they reached The Free Lady. Kay punched in her code to release the lock and waited for the ramp to lower before stepping inside. She wasn't worried about [member="Denn Ralto"] doing anything to her, afterall, he helped to save their lives. "This way."

She closed the ramp and locked it before leading him to the living quarters. In no time at all she was preparing the kettle and setting up the tea cups. All the while, her mind was on her favourite worlds to spend time on.

"Bakura sounds like the right place for you then. There are plenty of lakes, rivers and forests. It's very peaceful. Commenor has areas like that too, only it's more rocky. Yet sadly, One Sith territory is inching closer and closer to those worlds. Commenor is the closest and I'm doing what I can to ensure that it stays out of Sith control. Whether I'll succeed or fail, I don't know. But it's worth it to try."

As the water continued to be brought to a boil, Kay gathered a few of the green Sapir tea leaves and started crumpling them into the cups. "May I ask what it is that you do for a living? What made you leave Nar Shaddaa?"

As they approached the woman's ship, he laid eyes on it. It was a modified YT freighter. He'd seen a few in his time, they seemed to be a favorite among spacers, smugglers and legit tradesmen alike.

"She look's like a nice ship... unless it's a he?" He remarked.

As Kay headed up into the ship, he followed, looking over his shoulder back into the streets momentarily before continuing. As he was led towards the living quarters, he made a quick mental note of the layout. He'd never been inside this particular model of YT but he wanted to make sure he had an idea of which way to go if he needed to make a quick exit. He didn't anticipate it but he couldn't help it, it had become part of his nature. Denn politely took a seat, removing his hat and shedding his jacket, resting it on seat next to him. He leaned back in the seat, quietly looking around the room. It was a neat space, and looked quite well taken care of compared to some of the ship's interiors he'd seen. The tea cups reminded him of something he'd seen on one of those infomercials on the holonet, but they looked nicer, as if they themselves told a story. His eyes went back to where Kay was prepping the tea. Bakura sounded nice... he'd have to plan a trip. He wasn't opposed to rockiness, but he definitely preferred the greenery of the forest. As Kay mentioned the One Sith, he frowned slightly. The One Sith had never really caused him grief directly, but their patrols on occasion had been reason enough to change his route on more than one occasion. His curiosity was getting the better of him.

"How do you reckon the One Sith would be stopped from snatching up Commenor? You must have some powerful connections..."

He suddenly felt a little bit eclipsed by the woman before him. He hadn't known much about the pair, but it seemed they were much more well connected than he'd thought. He bit his tongue as she asked about his work. Some of it he didn't mind talking about, other things... he felt guilty about sharing. This woman seemed nice, and some of the things he'd done... surely she wouldn't understand.

"Well, transportation mostly. Goods, passengers. Most of the time above the board. No slaves, if that's what you're thinking. You learn shipping regulations real well, greasing the right palms. Taken a few bounty contracts, mostly escaped convicts and such."

He took a breath before continuing.

"What made me leave? Necessity mostly. Rustled a few jimmies I shouldn't have. Besides, if you knew how that place was..." He shook his head. "If you've heard the rumors of Mos Eisley, bout a hundred times worse on Nar Shaddaa. Got tired of workin' under the crime lords there. I guess you could say I'm lucky to be alive, most people don't make it out."

He gave the woman a half smile.

Kay smiled and gave [member="Denn Ralto"] a bit of a wink as he commented on her ship. "The Free Lady is a she, yes. And thank you. She doesn't have much in fire power. But what she lacks in that, she makes up for with shields."

As he asked about how she was going to stop the Sith from taking control, she hesitated for a moment before answering. "I'm going to run for Madam President of Commenor. I have a lot of connections, yes, as well as allies. I can bring in protection as well as more trade contracts to ensure more economic growth. If the Republic can push the Sith territory further back, then we could all breathe a little easier."

She poured the water into the cups when it was ready, stirring just a little bit. While Denn spoke of his business ventures and of Nar Shaddaa, it was the perfect amount of time for the tea to steep. The leaves dissolved, leaving a green liquid that was soothing with a hint of sweetness. She handed him his cup. "Enjoy." Then she took a sip of her own, savouring the taste. It was after that that she touched on the subjects about himself that he brought up. "Commenor is a planet that deals heavily with trade. When I was the Senator, I helped boost the security to top notch levels to stop the smuggling of illegal goods. I also spent a lot of time in Hutt Cartel space rescuing slaves on various worlds. It got me a lot of bad attention. I had bounties on my head for a while until I was finally caught and brought in."

She sipped her tea before continuing. "We've all done things that we're not proud of Denn Ralto. That's how we learn, how we grow. We can't be ashamed of ourselves all of the time." In part she was lecturing herself as well. There had been many times where she had felt guilty about the things that she had done, some of which she has yet to move on from. And it's been that guilt that has held her back from enjoying life the way that she should.

Oh, darling was she now? Saoirse eyed him with an amused look as he moved in to wrap his arm around her. She did not seem to mind. It was preferable to the man too afraid to get physical. Part of her wondered if it was intended as a signal to the other guy to not make any moves. Neither of them seemed like the type who'd heed such suggestions. The blonde girl laughed when he fed her the line of his night looking better every second she was here. It was either that or an eye roll, but the laughter had got her first.

Then the party of three moved on. The man seemed to know a good place for them to go. Free drinks? He said the magic words. The man? Wait... It was in this moment she realised she didn't even know his name. "And what do I call you?"

The club was packed. The small group had no trouble getting in, and she got the feeling that people knew him here. Maybe he hadn't been bluffing when he implied he was kind of a big deal in this town. As they moved through the crowds Saoirse felt her mood increase. This was just the right place for her to be, with the alcohol mixed in with her blood and the beat reverberating through her bones. It was hard not to get carried away in a place like this.

Though they didn't end up at the bar or on the dancefloor. The man led them up a few stairs to a seemingly more secluded area overlooking the rest. VIP area? Mr. Big Deal indeed. Big Deal ordered his drink, and Saoirse put in her request as well. Something tasty, something colourful, something strong.

Saoirse took note of the look of mischief that came about him. An eyebrow rose and half a smirk appeared on her lips. "Really now? Is that why you brought me here, to hear my life story?" she replied playfully.

"Yes, yes, yes!" Alyija danced her way through the street like a dizzy schoolgirl. "Yesyesyes!" She repeated faster and with even more enthusiasm. "This is what I was after! This is the galaxy! This is freedom!" She chattered away to her companion, TT-12, a small spherical mining probe Alyija had managed to grant sentience to.

The droid beeped incessantly, demanding the young girl begin a search for a hotel, hold onto the money she had instead of spending lavishly, or worse, getting it stolen and half a dozen other nagging advice Alyija had no desire to pay attention to right now. She had only left Geonosis a few weeks ago, the planet she'd spent her entire life working in the underground mines to earn her food so her excitement at the spectacle was uncontrollable. This festival was a glorious assault on all her senses, she'd never seen anything like it. The smells of hot street food wafted from all directions, some savoury and some sweet while most were so alien Alyija could hardly place it. Bright neon lights were cast from nightclubs while the various cars and taxis flying on the highways above seemed to create a never ending trail of tiny stars crossing the sky.

"Whoooa! Look at that guy! Or girl, maybe," Alyija pointed towards a Trandoshan walking down the opposite side of the street, not that she had anyway of knowing what a Trandoshan was. "What species do you think he is? Or she is? Should we ask him? Her? Do you think that's rude?"

Her companion beeped to let her know he was just as clueless as she was.

"I hope he doesn't feel self-conscious. She must stand out a lot," Alyija muttered sympathetically as the lizard like alien disappeared amongst the crowds.

TT whistled a response.

"Hey I don't stand out that bad right?" She glanced at her outfit. It stood in contrast to many of the festival goers, while they had gussied up in suits and long gown dresses, Alyija remained in an unflattering brown one piece jumpsuit, goggles awkwardly skewed on her forehead and her thick brown hair having traces of matted dirt. "I'm as pretty as any of these fancy ladies," she huffed and attempted to wipe any dirt off the bridge of her nose but instead created a smudge of oil grease.

The droid shook in air, a gesture of exasperation.

"Bah, what d'you know, TT?" She playfully stuck her tongue out at the droid. "Hey! See those people there?" She changed the subject and pointed at a small cluster of drunken men in some kind of labour uniforms (although she's never admit it to the droid, Alyija was privately glad to see not everyone had dressed up luxuriously). "I am going to drink them under the table and make them pay me to do it!" She dashed off grinning towards her targets, TT hovering just behind beeping all sorts of warnings.

This was going to be a night to remember whatever direction the night took.

"James," he supplied when Saoirse asked his name. "James Justice."

James smirked back, his satisfaction apparent. He liked the ones who could flirt back and hold their own. It made the game more fun and the catch--well that much more satisfactory.

"Maybe not the whole thing," he said leaning in slightly. "Maybe just the pertinant details like," his hand grazed her forearm softly, "What brought ye to my neck of the woods. Or how ye single ye are."

It didn't take long for the drinks to arrive. Special treatment came with--well many benefits. The spacer pulled his glowing lime green drink to his lips, savoring the tingling burning sensation as the liquid went through his lips.

He gave her a wink. "Seriously though, darling, what brings ye to me neck of the woods? Just enjoying the local night life?"

Jagen Wren

Guest
And for the second time that night, a scoundrel, albeit former, appeared at the doorway of the club.

Jagen Wren walked as quickly as he humanly could to the bar, he had been sober for a month and frankly it was the worse experience in his life. When the Free Colonies had apparently disbanded after a lull in their activities and the disappearance of a certain someone, Wren had taken up mercenary work within the Republic until he was taken in as a commodore of the navy and now he had five ships under his command. At first it was a fine job, but the duties kept piling up and he couldn't cope by drinking alcohol as he needed to be competent. Over the months he had actually participated in a few battles, owing to the new scars on his face from a few conduits exploding after taking hits. And now he actually had a lightsaber, though he was no Jedi or Sith at all, just a force user.

Wren sat down and ordered their strongest whiskey, a large brandy, and some corellian ale to mix it all together, he called this concoction the "Wren Wrangler" for it's ability to calm him the hell down. He took a long swig and let his eyes take in the dancers, savoring their every move with a swig of his drink.

"Alas, another familiar face!"

Now Jack removed hi helmet, setting it on the table and taking a seat. His armor clinked and clacked, and there was a thud as the lever action shotgun was slammed on the table. Jagen Wren, and James Justice, just the men to start a revolution, not that they hadn't already tried that before.

And the smuggler girl? James was macking hard, which made Jack chuckled as he ordered a whiskey from afar.

"You can call me Jack."

And then his attention turned.

"So how's business gentlemen."

Saoirse was nothing if not someone able to bite back and hold their own. Flirting was fun. And it was all a game. If they couldn't keep up she got quickly bored. However she had a hunch that bore her was the last thing Mr. Justice would do.

She maintained eye-contact with her strong, intense eyes. They had been known to bring people to their knees before. Her smile spoke of amusement, however. "Very. I don't do monogamy" she replied with a wink just as their drinks arrived there. She was both informing and warning him. No one could blame her for leading anyone on. As far she could tell however, that would not conflict with his interests.

"What brought me here?" she lifted her drink, pausing for a little added suspense. "A ship" she said with a smirk, touching her glass against his in a little cheers, before taking her first sip. Damn, that was good.

"Speaking of" she started, twirling the contents of her glass with subtle moves from her wrist. "You don't happen to need anyone to transport anything for you?" She decided to go with 'transport' rather than 'smuggle'. That sounded like the clever way to phrase it considering his name was Justice. She hoped that was ironic. She was prepared for pleasure and fun, but if she could take advantage of the situation and create a little business on the side, well, that was a nice bonus.

[member="James Justice"] [member="Jack Raxis"]

He gave a wry smirk. The ship comment, was good. She was keeping pace with him and--he had to admit, was more enjoyable than half the women in the city who fell over at his pheramones alone.

"Please, Miss, Mr Justice was me father," James said with a chuckle. "I'm James."

The spacer reached into his pocked, producing a trio of pills. Their chalk. splotched appearance was--strange.

"Here," he offered her one before taking one himself, "Me own personal blend of Neutron Pixie, Collafa, Gliterstim, and Carsunsum." He washed the pill down with a sip from his glass. "I call it 'Intensity.'"

"I suppose I could use another pilot," he said before draining what remained in his glass. "But that more so depends on how many maneuvers ye know."

He winked before setting his glass aside. That was good, so good. He was gonna let that one linger for a second.

"Business is good, Jack. Always is. I signed a deals last week for Sasori, all exclusives for their smuggling and hauling. Work with the Black Ties has brought more cash in and the Mandolorian Empire is making a promising offer as well."

[media]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zxQzeMoxAY[/media]

Suddenly the music changed. The strobe lights and laser show a began a new, intensive flurry in the epileptic's worst nightmare.

"Ah now," he said sidling closer to Saoirse. One of his hands slid around the bare portion of her skin between her crop top and skirt. His finger tips traced delicate lines along her bare, tender skin, "How about ye show me some of those maneuvers ye know."

Denn inwardly froze for a moment as Kay spoke about running... for political office. He smirked at the mention of trade contracts. With economic growth, smuggling could go either way, flourish or go stagnant. It was as good an opportunity to start going above the bar though... if she could make that happen. His thoughts were interrupted as she handed him a cup of the steaming liquid. Taking a moment, he closed his eyes, drawing in breath and inhaling the steam from the tea. It smelled good, not too bitter, but not overly sweet either. He smiled at the woman and nodded in thanks as he took a short sip of the hot tea. It burned his tongue slightly but had a good flavor to it. His eyes narrowed slightly as she began talking about Commenor and her part as Senator. Mentally he backpedaled a bit, but kept his composure. The woman seemed pretty satisfied that she'd helped stop the smuggling of illegal goods, he wasn't sure how he felt about that, but he supposed the result must have been good. He'd accepted his fate a long time ago so fighting to stay above the bar was a fight he no longer tried to win. Kay must have seen a slight frown on his face, when she continued speaking, she spoke about growing, about not being ashamed. He wasn't exactly ashamed... or was he? He couldn't place it, but something she'd said had opened a window into himself he'd long left closed. He forced himself out of his own mind, the hot tea helping to snap him back out of his internal soul searching.

"I suppose you have a point there... Nothin' for it but to move on and keep on going."

He enjoyed a few more sips of tea, certainly helping to liven his senses. His mind tumbled, pieces of his life both distant and recent flashing in his mind's eye. Some of it troubled him, other bits did not. He wondered how he'd managed to get this far without really thinking about it. True, he'd gone most of his younger years fighting and drinking... killing... but that had started to fade. The memories did not, but the feelings did. It was no longer a matter of if someone deserved to die, it had become who'd pay more. He argued with himself, he wasn't a hitman... not an assassin... but he'd done the deed before. He continued to think internally again, eyes glossing over slightly. A thought forced its way to the surface, jarring him from his memories.

"Thank you for the tea, Miss is it?"

He hadn't seen her with anyone, and he couldn't rightly tell just by looking at her. He'd heard rumors during their excursion on Graveyard, but nothing solid. It wasn't so much that he was interested as much as he was curious who these people were... this duo, brother and sister. They seemed to complement each other well, James seemed to deal on the dark side of things while his sister appeared to be mostly above the bar in her endeavors. He was curious as to how that would play out, and he wondered how much Kay really knew about the darker side of her brother's business. It wasn't that she seemed naive, that she was not, but he got the feeling she didn't like to get her hands dirty.

"Your father?" she asked, looking upon him with an expression of mischief. "Is he around? Maybe I'll ask him to dance with me" she was toying with him, if only just a little bit.

Her eyes widened slightly when he produced the pills. Yup. She'd come to the right place. Her lips curled into a satisfied smirk, accepting what he offered and not hesitating to chug down on it. She would feel the effects soon. What to expect she had no idea, she just hoped it would be good. "That's one creative mix" she commented after she had swallowed, washing it down with her drink.

"Oh, I know a few" she said suggestively. "If you need another pilot, you must also have a ship for them to fly" or perhaps he expected her to supply that part herself. "Do you? I don't fly garbage." she stated before giving a light chuckle. Could he impress her with some fancy freighters? She didn't know if he had ships or not.

The music changed, along with her state of mind, much thanks to the drugs. They were starting to kick in. The lights changed, flashing and flowing over the club in an intense lightshow. The pill seemed to go well along with this kind of setting, Saoirse was really feeling the beat, feeling the need to dance. Convenient for James.

"You better be able to keep up" she issued the little challenge. The blonde allowed the beat to grab her, move her body with it as the bass entrenched itself in her system. Perhaps they would mingle with the masses later but for now she was content showing that one could dance even in the VIP section. Clearly, she knew what she was doing.

Kay had caught the narrowed eyes and downward expressions that [member="Denn Ralto"] gave and then tried to hide. Not everyone liked politicians, least of all Senators. But she liked to think of herself as one of the better ones. Afterall, it wasn't like her to just sit around and bark orders at people.

She sipped her tea before answering his question. "Kay. Just Kay is fine. I don't need to have everyone being formal around me. I wasn't someone born with a silver spoon in her mouth. I had to work hard for everything and I've been on the bottom, been creditless a couple of times. And no, it wasn't through gambling or other such things. Trying to do the right thing doesn't always pay off in the end. There are those in the Galaxy that claim to be honourable, yet they break their word whenever they feel like it. But no matter how many times I have been betrayed, I promised myself that I would never sink to that level. It's just not right."

Hurting others just makes her feel guilty, and that in turn made her feel bad. There was always another way to go about any situation. One only needed to bother to find it.

James felt the drugs kicking in with a rush of euphoria. His senses enhanced, his connection to the Force, uninhibited became stronger. He could feel his mind opening even further, the subtle feelings of the people around him became powerful, full-fledged waves.

His body pressed against Saoirse's from behind. He felt her out, grinding against her as his hands teased along her. No part of her was safe as he felt her out, caressing, sliding and enveloping her. The strobe lights spasmed rhythmically, illuminating his movements along her to the world in a series of pictures.

His hand gripped Saoirse's suddenly and he spun her around to face him. James pressed against her harder, his hands linked around the woman from behind, holding her close as he slid against her to the rhythm. The fingertips teased along her bare flesh in subtle trails, leaving a wake of euphoria behind them.

He was pulling her in. Drawing her closer with each movement. The fall out would be there in the morning but for now it was time to release into the hedonism.

The spacer moved closer, his face was centimeters from her face, his breath, warm and sweet with the smell of alcohol and cigarettes, brushed against her cheeks. His nose caressed against her face, just like the rest of her body.

"Am I going too fast for you?" " he murmured in her ear teasingly.

I [member="Saoirse Reyes"] I

The drugs were having their effect on Saoirse as well. Harder, stronger, as they carried her to her next high. This was an interesting mix of spices that she had not tried combined before. It felt intense, euphoric. She felt aware of everything, appreciating everything. Most of all she felt happy, excited, and without a care in the world. Saoirse almost felt a sense of oneness with the club and everyone in it, like they all belonged to the same loving, judgement free entity.

The sensation blended well with the music. It encouraged her, drove her to take her excitement further, express it with elaborate and natural moves of her body as she danced. The beat was hyping her up. Mix that in with the pheromones of James and his hungry hands... She was quickly losing control. He was behind her. She was moving against him, twisting both head and hips.

Suddenly the blonde found herself turned around and dancing face to face. Good thing hedonism was a favourite passtime of hers as well. There hadn't been an answer to her question about the ship. She still cared, but in the heat of the moment seemed willing to temporarily forget about it. Her breathing increased with him holding her close and pressing against her. Both high on the same drug, pheromones and the absence of awareness of any consequence.

The girl smirked. "You can't go at a speed too fast for me" it was spoken half as a challenge, and half as if stating a fact. Her hand reached for the back of his head, grasping at his hair then pulling his backwards suddenly, slightly. Perhaps she was surprising him with the level of control she displayed. Her smirk widened. Now? Now she wanted to feel his lips on her. Both hands moved to rest over his shoulders, behind his neck, before drawing him down towards her in for a kiss.

[member="James Justice"]

James surrendered to her pulling touch and felt her hands against his neck and pull him closer. He was normally a reckless man, but in moments like this--he was even more reckless than before. Business would wait later--it would be there. The moment was here, it was now, and it was here for the taking. He released himself for a moment into her charms. He pressed her closer to himself and let his lips press against hers in a wickedly intense, passionate kiss.

He savored the taste of her sweet saliva, drinking its exotic flavor in with the scent of her body. His senses were enhanced even more with the drugs in his blood, thumping through him with each beat of the music. His hands slid along her sides, taking a feel of her smooth skin.

And like that, the song was over. The lights went down again for a third of a second. There were so many things that James could have done in that microscopic moment. But instead he savored the second of her in his arms. As the lights roared to life, the music made subtle come back, a trance like triple beat synth scale. James pulled back just enough to see [member="Saoirse Reyes"]'s face, looking deep into her eyes. Stars and sparks from the drugs and the lights whirled around in his peripheral as a smile teased his lips.

"I think I may have to put ye to the test on that statement."

The two bodies pushed up against each other with both pairs of lips pressing hard up against the other. Saoirse was not holding back. Both beat and drug pulsed through her system. She surrendered all thoughts and concerned to the day after. Now was not the time for sensibility, now was the time for impulsiveness and spontaneity.

The experience was intense. She felt aware of every touch, every sensation. The drug seemed to increase her sensitivity, amplify its effect. Or perhaps it was all in her head. She didn't seem to care about his hands on her skin. Her hands were roaming too.

And then the song ended. How long had they stood like this? His friends seemed to have left. Either that or quickly becoming silent observers. Again, Saoirse was not in the mood to care about her surroundings. Everything was let go of in favour of the moment.

Her hands planted themselves on his chest. They didn't try to push him off, it was more like they rested there, before slowly crawling to a rest ontop of either shoulder, fingers meeting each other again behind his neck.

She smiled almost suggestively. There was little point in downplaying the tension or its effect on her at this point. "Oh yeah?" she eyed him, teeth for a moment lightly biting down on her lower lip as she considered. "And how exactly do you plan on putting me to that test?"
