Hi all!

We are happy to see the high interest in this invasion from both sides, not to mention all the allies!

You may already have noticed that we have not yet approved any ally requests from the SJC side of things and hope that you can forgive the delay.

We have had contact with both GA and CIS leadership and feel confident that we can work together towards making an interesting narrative and write some good stories together.

As time have gone on, however, the apparent discrepancy between the available writers on both sides have become increasingly apparent and as things seem now, we might outnumber them a fair bit more than 2:1 in terms of active writers.

This is problematic, seeing as there is a risk of us giving our opponents disproportionally much to respond to. Not only that, we see the risk of this leading to a more diluted story which might suffer from having too many participants on one side and too few on the other. Ultimately, it might be detrimental to both the SJC narrative as well as the story at large.

For the sake of our own members and those of LOTS, we are therefore considering making a considerable cut in the number of allies we will bring. This is still something which we are discussing within staff, but it is only fair for us to give you all a heads-up in advance as well as an opportunity to share any advice you might have. Please note that this is in no way us trying to concede the invasion but rather making it a more enjoyable experience for all who participate and looking after the quality of our story.

Hi again,

We have had long discussions within the SJC admin team and have finally settled on bringing nine allies, more than halving the number of allies which we could bring. We are very sorry that so many of you will not be able to participate. We wish to thank you for the interest and willingness that you have shown - hopefully, we can interact more in the future.

In making the decision in which ally requests to accept, we have taken several factors into account which should, ideally, lead to the best possible story. Some of the calls we have made may be suboptimal. Hopefully, they will, however, not bee too disagreeable. Some of the main factors we have taken into consideration in this process are how well the character might fit into the story of the thread, how well different factions will be represented, in which order the ally slots were requested and whether the same person would be writing multiple characters in the invasion or not.
