Fomys was in her room of the apartment she supposedly shared with her brother and their friend, Yeste. Ramys was never home. That wasn’t much his fault. He was a wanted man by the planetary security, thanks to his participation in the Stormtrooper Revolt that was put down when Velran Kilran Velran Kilran put New Alderaan in league with the Empire of the Lost, and exposed the galaxy to just how many new clones he had to unleash upon it.

Following the revolt many locals were restricted from various positions on New Alderaan. Fomys herself ended up taking a vacation when the New Aldera investigation unit she reported to put her on leave. It turned out to be a wonderful break from the despair that Kilran had brought to her home even before the clones and the Empire became a part of it. Fomys had helped the rebellion, though she somehow managed to keep her involvement secret. At the end she was so tired that she welcomed a little break. During the vacation Fomys met Vulpesen Vulpesen when she took a chance on a dating app. Returning home was filled with quite a few questions as she wondered if her home could ever be something that would make her stop wondering where Vulpesen was and how quickly she could be by his side.

The pull of home became even less when she found out that Yeste had decided to join the NISB and become a double agent for whoever might come in and give New Alderaan back to the people. At the same time Ramys had decided that it was too dangerous not only for him, but Fomys and whoever else he was around for him to remain on New Alderaan. Relocation was a must. His stuff was already sent off to whatever transport he was taking offplanet. Today would be his last night at home for a long time.

Fomys’ support system was leaving. And on top of that she had just learned that when her forced leave concluded she would not be returning to the investigation bureau, but to customs security. There was a big decision ahead of Fomys, but for tonight she wouldn’t bring her troubles to her brother and her friend. This was their last night together for a bit. So when Fomys heard the apartment door slide open, and the first of her soon-to-be former roommates stepped in, she silently punched the mattress of her bed and made her way out into the common area. ”So. Which of you made it back first to say goodbye?”

”When has Yeste ever beaten me in a race?” Ramys called out in response to his sister’s questioning of which of the former roommates had arrived first ”For that matter, when has Yeste ever been on time since she got into her new job?” The suggestion that the visit was to say goodbye had made Ramys’ response a bit slower and sadder than he had meant it to sound.

The trio had been closely tied together since their teens. First in school even though Ramys was a bit older than the girls. He took the big brother role pretty seriously as a kid. He let Fomys into his circle of friends and Yeste had come along as well. In time it was the three of them as the center of the circle and other parts came and went alongside. After school Ramys joined the army thinking that would get him out into the galaxy. Instead he was made to serve Kilran’s regime until the Stormtrooper Rebellion was formed.

Fomys at that point was an investigator and Yeste was doing whatever sneaky stuff she had come to enjoy. As such the three were again able to work closely together to attempt to return their home back to the peaceful place they knew as children. Then times got even darker. The Empire of the Lost came. The Stormtrooper Rebellion was put down by the Empire and Kilran’s clone troopers. Worst of all, Velran Kilran Velran Kilran became the Emperor. There was nowhere safe for a New Alderaanian patriot. The trio was going to have to part ways. But Ramys had confidence that they would find themselves together again soon. They always did.

”This is not goodbye though sis,” Ramys said his tone lightening noticeably with the confidence that they would all find a way to make things better. ”Just see you soon. Until we can make New Alderaan home again.”
