The Crypt. The lowest point of the great Mikdash ha'Sheketh Temple. The air cold and damp. The echos, lonely scattering whispers.
A new batch of recruits had come forth. Ready and willing to give their lives for Discordia. They would be split into groups. This batch bigger than most had seen in many years. Was there chance in the air? Was the call of chaos whispering in the ears of the followers? Or were people ready to fight for the end of the corruption?
The silence didn't know their reason yet, but all will be revealed to them soon. Their courage, their tenacity, their blood lust.
The task before the recruits would bare into their very soul.

The recruits would be brought into the temple, having been granted temporary wrist bands to allow them access to the main temple areas. Here in the crypt they would be told to kneel by unseen voices. The flood of students entered and were guides to kneel in circles, each smaller circle inside the larger.
They would be told for silence as the room would grow colder and their new Shadow would arrive Dexter Zytros Dexter Zytros .

Trail one.
It was years since Dexter himself had knelt before a Shadow and sought out purpose. He couldn't forget his trails, though his group was much small then this.... much much smaller. There were 20 when he came and only 5 became shadows when he did... poor things.

Dexter walked with purpose head up, shoulders back, and his electro-staff in hand. . Stone cold sober. For once... His steps cracked the silence and shook the echos as he moved to the center of the room.
Standing there in the midst of the circles he looked to what he hoped would be his new brothers and sisters. While he could see their faces, his was concealed by his helmet. A dark looming figure in a room of kneeling hopefuls.
He struck the end of his staff to the floor, even while attention was in him. He just wanted to make sure it was.
"You come here seeking! Seeking Purpose! Power! Home! Riches and Death!" Dexter's joking, lighthearted tone was gone. Now only the voice of command and structure passed his lips. Pausing to hold the air in the room, letting his voice carry and hold. " We the Silence will give you all!..... We the silence Welcome you with open arms......... But it my place to see who among you have what if takes....... To prowl the night by our Side!......To Become the Shadows and the hand of death...... and Maybe one of you have what it takes to be a Reaper... a Leader of the silencer and a right hand of Discordia..."

Dexter would step forward. A coin appearing between two fingers that was not their before, holding it high for them all to see.
"This.... is a token.... Every member of the Silence has one on them.... it is your job to retrieve them and bring them to me..... but this task will not be easy.... you must survive pick pocketing one of our own." He'd then tap his wrist and glowing count down clocks would appear on their wrist bands. " You have still that runs out... don't disappoint me.!" He'd wave his arm dismissing them, smirking behind his mask as he rolled the token across his knuckles watching them head out to hunt down the tokens.

The Sith was no stranger to the initiation process. His own initiation into the Sith had been a literal trial by fire. Initiation was a time of proof, putting words into action, giving them a sense of merit. Actions were a fickle thing, of course. They are simply actions, things which one does. They were only grouped inside the contexts of “good” and “bad” when examined by an individual. Even then, the judgement of an action is incorrect through the eyes of another. One man’s good is another’s evil.

Fire is clean.

Fire is bright.

The initiation process was typically conducted in three phases. It was rather simple, really. The Chaplain knew because he designed the original process. The current cycle of students would face a four part process instead, one created by a newly inducted Shadow by the name of Dexter Zytros, to ensure that the first generation of Silencers were strong, capable, and steadfast in their duties. It was now his job, as Chaplain, to see that these phases went well. Discordia would be displeased if the Silencers failed her. Failure was not an option with a woman like Discordia over you. The woman was elusive, far more elusive than any of his current Silencers were and that only made her more mysterious and much more dangerous than even he.

Kyrinov stretched as he left his office, done with paperwork and filing and monitoring for the day. He twirled a golden token in his right hand, finding that it blended in perfectly with his ring. Beside him strode a black shadow, a canine figure which was his sole companion and guide that he’d named Anat. The corridors were damp and cold in the sublevels of the Temple, even though ventilation was constantly on to filter the air and pressure of the subterranean levels. The sort of cold that seeped into the bones and chilled the spirit. Though, even that was by design. These new Silencers would need to be able to handle extremes in every definition of the word. He walked through the hallways without direction and at a leisurely pace, hoping to bump into a few trial-goers along the way. If they decided to go after him, they would indeed have a test on their hands.

All the hopefuls would need to do now was act.

Jai slowly walked into the Crypt with the other new Silencers. It reminded him of Concord Dawn. Blaster fire racked the inside of his brain. The memories of everything that happened while he was there. Watching what happened to his home world. The Mandalorian's fists clenched as he tried to push the memories back once again. The memories of the past that he wanted to forget, but that always seemed to assault his mind. Either way he was there now, and the Mandalorian might have come with a reputation. He had already been with Agents for some time so he wasn't exactly a newcomer. Plus... if anyone knew where he was from they'd probably have an idea.

For now, he'd just sit and wait. Then the familiar face of Dexter Zytros explained it to them. They would have to pickpocket a token from one of the current Silencers. Well... not the craziest thing he's had to do in his life, but it was something. Jai got off his wall, and slowly began to look around. It was weird, cause you'd think the man would be in a hurry with that timer going. Yet he stayed calm, and was going to take this methodically. Plus he had a pair of friends that would wouldn't smell to pleasant the men nearby. Strill were a bit weird that way. Females loved the smell usually, but males hated it. He had a distraction though, and that would help.

So, what she has heard of this group and what they do does rather intrigue the small woman, and hearing out of an initiation to join, well. Nicole wanted to do more then just sit around. Her dead godfather wouldn't allow it. Yet, she couldn't find the will to return to her other family members. Perhaps this would give her what she desires for revenge? Power may lead to such. And power is something she needs right now.

She looks up at Dexter and hears of what he states. So a coin? The same coin he has... a faint grin appears on her lips. Just after he spoke, Nicole stands up and moves a hand towards him wanting to send his coin towards her hand. A direct approach, yes. Stupid? Maybe. It this does work, would this mean she was successful? "So including you?" Not the sneakiest approach is it...

The Nighthaunter was on the familiar ground of Mikdash ha'Sheket it felt good to be back on the ground of where it all started, he looked around in slight wonder. It seemed like ages ago that he and Kyri had... well that was all in the past now wasn't it. He entered the Crypt clad in his own personally made MK 1 Nightsuit, he was then fully decked out with every form killing weapon one could need. From his trusty sniper rifle to his Katana and his throwing stars. The former retired reaper observed the other two hopeful silencers as Dexter went over the rules of the game. The girl had a small and lithe figure, perfect build for an assassin no wonder someone had reached out to her she could be of use. He also had a sneaking suspicion she may be force sensitive but had nothing to confirm these suspicions as of yet. He then looked over at the Mandalorian judging by his body language he had seen some things that had shook him to his very core and was a possible loose cannon. 'Best keep an eye on him' The Nighthaunter thought to himself.

Listening to the task at hand The Nighthaunter's ears suddenly perked up at what Dexter had said. Now this changed things as a former member of the Silencers and a very senior one at that he already had a token but he wasn't going to mention that to either of the hopeful recruits that he was up against. He decided he might try and give an old friend a surprise as he began to slowly back out of the room as he watched the small woman approach Dexter obviously using the force to try and steal his token. Foolish move... if he was anything like his reputation suggested she wouldn't be able to pull it off. The Nighthaunter's specialty was stealth but he wasn't one to pickpocket someone he was an assassin not a thief, so despite his seniority this objective was going to be a challenge for him. He silently crept out of the crypt deciding to head towards the Chaplain's office as that is where the most senior officials would be, and he may also be able to surprise an old friend.

Objective: Steal a token from someone

She was proud to finally be here to make her affiliation here finally official as she listened to the rules they seemed simple enough pickpocket a member get a token from them and bring that token back to Dex she was ready to get on the move to search for a token holder when she saw Nicole make a rather brazen attempt to pull the Token from Dex's possession. She merely smirked and gave Nicole a simple pat on the shoulder before she disappeared in a green mist and picked a highspot near by to use as an observation post to observe if Nicole was successful or not, though little did nicole know that pat on the shoulder was away of her placing a small trigger rune on her so she could go for her if she does get the coin if not then she'll find away to get it from Dex before the time runs out she kept herself invisible and shrouded in her magic until then

STORY TELLER:
While the other constants ran off to sneak around the temple and find someone to pick pocket, many of them would ultimately and horrifically fail.
Many would receive broken hands, arms...necks... spines.... many dying quickly and others being butchered by the more sadistic members of the Silencers.

Was this part missed out of the instructors speech, how most of them would die in the first round?
Yep!
Should they have expected it?
Probably...
With the savage acts of the members of the silence now becoming known, screams here and there would erupt from throughout the temple, many of the potentials were turning on each other trying to steal the token from one another to be able to survive the beastly game.

One up ahead of Jai'galaar Gred Jai'galaar Gred was tall, slim and humanoid, but her eyes were slits and her complexion was translucent, even the veins under her flesh showed the black blood that ran through her.
It wasn't clear if she was blind or not but her increased sense of smell caused her to turn from the bloody pulp on the floor. Retracting her hand from the chest cavity she would stand, turning in Jai'galaars's direction, her hands raised up and another whiff of the creatures with Jai she froze, trembling to the spot.
"Please... No.... not that! Get that creature from me! Please! I beg you, keep it from me...!"

Under his mask Dexter's smile had decided to appear, stretching across his face and pulling at his cheeks.... OOOh this one was brave.
....But very stupid.
The coin in his hand would slip from his grasp but his right hand would snap. The bionic arm of his was faster and much stronger than his left. It moved fluidly through the air and caught the coin again pulling it back and against his chest.
"OOOhhh, you've got some balls kid... I'll give you that." He'd say tilting his head as he looked at Neyana Neyana , of course he recognized her... but his own face and voice were hidden for a good reason.
Now Dex was on the offensive.
He'd flip the coin before catching it again and now making his move. His arm would extend and his electro-staff would swing and swipe with wild and dangerous ferocity towards her, crackling with pure white energy, each time aiming for the weak spots, going for the throat with the electro end, following the momentum coming back around with the blunt end for the gut, stepping back to give space for a upward strike towards her groin and before turning his staff side ways for an attack towards her nose.
His attacks acted like one movement, leaving little pause between each attack as a mean to shorten he space for counter, he wanted to see her best while giving her only a taste of what he could do and he wasn't even force sensitive life she clearly was.
He wasn't fussed if he hit her or made her just move out the way but he wasn't going to make this task easy for her or the other little creep( Herah ) who was just waiting for a moment of weakness to steal.... which he would have done too in her place.
Still he was surprised at how quickly his little task had become cut throat.

Well. Nicole's attention is at Herah for just a brief moment. Something doesn't quite feel right with the shoulder press, but at this given time, Nicole has no fecks given. Though, with the coin -not- in her hands and Dex catching it back made her frown quite heavily. "And here I thought this was going to be easy." The screams all around the room isn't bothering her either. She grins even.

As Dex prepares himself and swings madly at her, Nicole moves an arm forward, towards the man to push him towards the nearest wall, or at least a few yards away from her. This girl does need some breathing room. Once that is taken care of, Nicole takes out her light saber and turns it on. The blade lights up in black.

"And here I thought this would be boring." She speaks.

Jai'galaar looked over at the person who'd just walked up to him. She didn't seem all too fond of his Strill. In fact, she asked him to get it away from her. The Mandalorian thought for a moment, then smiled under his helmet. He could use this Silencer's desperation to get the strill to leave, so maybe Jai could use this. He looked at her, chuckling.

"You want the Strill gone? Hand over you're token."

The Nighthaunter was walking through Mikdash ha'Sheket heading down towards the bottom levels as that is where he knew the Chaplain's office would be. He made sure to keep his wits about him, as he knew that any one of the initiates could decide to attempt to eliminate him in order to take out the competition. He could hear the screams of people dying horrible deaths in the halls as the initiates turned on one another in an attempt to eliminate opposition, or try and seize a token that one of them had pick pocketed. This was the first time he had seen such trials in action as his first and only recruit he had accepted in and trained personally. Kyri had been an exceptional candidate and due to the Nighthaunter's extremely high standards over forty candidates did not survive the personal training they received from the Nighthaunter, however Kyri performed exceptionally well. And this was who he was pursuing now, how quickly life flips things one ones head. He was sure that he would be happy to see him. All of a sudden he was snapped out of his daydreaming as he saw a gleaming vibro dagger through the the darkness heading straight towards his head. He immediately rolled to the side the dagger whistling harmlessly past him, he immediately flicked on infra red imaging on his HUD immediately spotting his assailant.

He was in hiding in the darkness of the hallway around about 35 feet in front of him, the outline showed a humanoid figure most likely male but he couldn't tell. He crouched behind a crate using it as make shift covers as he heard a thud as another throwing knife went into the crate.
"Kid listen to me I am going to give you one chance to back off, you don't know what you are dealing with." He said in a gruff intimidating voice.
He could feel the uncertainty in the person attacking him in that moment of silence before he responded, "I know you have a token and that you aren't an initiate, hand it over and we can both walk away." He said his voice cracking slightly.
Poor kid he was clearly one of the cannon fodder and did not have the skills to make it in the Silencers, The Nighthaunter sighed, "Just remember... You wanted this." As he said this the initiate started shooting on his position the blaster bolts clattering against the crate, as this was happening he took out one his throwing stars and took a deep breath. He then looked out from behind the crate and threw the singular throwing star, there was then a loud thud and a scream.

The star had lodged deep in the wrist of his shooting arm, rupturing arteries and squirting blood everywhere. The initiates make shift dark armour now covered in his own red blood. The Nighthaunter stepped out from his cover and saw the poor initiate screaming as he looked at the blood squirting out of his arm. The initiate realized it was now or never he dropped his gun and used his left arm to pull out his dagger, as his right arms was now completely useless due to the severed tendons. The Nighthaunter pulled out his Katana, 'this was going to be fun.' He thought to himself, as he pulled out his Katana from his back just as the initiate swiped at him with the dagger. He ducked under it, his exoskeleton in his armour making his movements almost inhumanly fast he then smacked the initiate on the butt with the flat of his sword. He smiled beneath his mask as much as he could enjoy this he had work to do and needed to finish this quickly. As the bleeding initiative swiped at him again the Nighthaunter parried the strike with his blade and then slipped under his guard sliding the blade into his abdomen. There was a loud gasp from the initiate as the light left his pale blue eyes.

The Nighthaunter then slumped the boy to the side, looking down at him with some form of pity bit also contempt at such a poor performance. He then stripped the boy of his armour before taking out his dagger and writing the words, "DO NOT FOLLOW," into the boys abdomen as a warning to the other initiates to leave him alone. In order to make it more intimidating he removed the boy's eyes, tongue, nose and ears making him in sense faceless and unidentifiable. The sadistic Nighthaunter stepped back to admire his handiwork, and began walking down the hallway to find Kyri hoping no one would follow him.

Just as she figured Dex wasn't going to make this easy for Nicole in the slightest but since the fight broke out her time to stay perched was at a close as she conjured up her bow and took aim waiting for Dex to finish his barrage of attacks, she was keeping an eye on his movements trying to read them incase she had to get up close and personal, She readied a few other spells to move as she leaped from her perch and fired a green arrow towards his leg after she witnessed Nicole send a force push his way hopefully if it hits him itll make her life easier in pinning him and getting to that coin she muttered something in Dathomirian to help bolster the accuracy of the arrow she let loose as she kept mobile leaping from place to place in random patterns to try and make it difficult to predict where she'll go.

Death was on the rise. The very halls of the tunneled interior of the Temple screamed with the wail of her victims, the Force allowed him to feel each death of another as though he could feel the death as it happened to the poor individuals that fell. Almost as if he was the one being cut down in a race to retrieve a coin for the chance to be a Silencer. The deaths were currently still maintained closer to the lower levels, though a familiar presence seemed to get closer with every step the Sithling took through the dim corridors. The carnage he could feel, the unease, was disturbing. And though he’d known this cycle of Prowlers, he knew none of them on a personal basis besides their names, strengths, and weaknesses. They were strangers because they were not Silencers yet, thus, the Epicanthix held a striking lack of remorse or even consideration for the lives lost to the silence of halls that would soon be scrubbed away by the Guardians. If they could not retrieve a simple coin, they had no right to be within the Temple in the first place.

The halls became menacingly quiet as he walked with his companion at his side. The cold was a comfort to Kyrinov, drawing it into himself and heating it, regulating it until he emitted heat from himself. There was another scream, just down the hall from where he was now and it gave him pause. This one lasted far longer than the others, indicating that the killer was cold-blooded and calculated enough to know how to draw out suffering rather than ending it quickly, it wasn’t an initiate. Anat flattened her ears against her head but, positioning herself slightly in front of her partner, she did not growl or give away their position. The only sign that they were there were Anat’s eyes, milky white against the darkness of the walkway. That is if the being’s eyes could adjust in this sort of darkness. With the gut feeling he had on who the person likely was, he was sure that the man could.

Nighthaunter had been his mentor, a sadistic but practical one. Perhaps Kyrinov took after him in his own ways. But, he knew very well the effects of darkness and too much light, thanks to the elusive former Chaplain. Truthfully, he knew firsthand the horrors of the Silent Chamber and the Ward. They left him unable to properly function for weeks at a time because he was left within them for days on end, and, of course, that didn’t help his already existing condition. Chaos would have been a more merciful sentence, to say the least. He trained extensively under Nighthaunter and Kyrinov knew him well. His back tingled at the base of his spine and his neck could acutely feel the stinging chill of the air that surrounded him.

In one fluid, silent movement, Amnesia found her way into his left hand. The man could feel his old friend approach, he may as well give him a welcome gift. He exhaled a slow breath, recalling the footfall of his old mentor from his memory, playing it through in his head in full swing. He could envision the length of his stride as he came closer and closer, bridging the distance between the two. The faintest hint of a tap of boots on smooth stone echoed into his ears. The Epicanthix spun on his toe and heel and brought the sword down in a faux lethal arc, exhaling once more and pulling his arm black just enough to miss slicing his mentor clean through the middle and landing the tip of the sword on his man’s naval, pressing against fragile skin with almost enough pressure to break the seal between flesh and blood.

It was an older move, dating back to his days before the Confederacy. One that his first Master taught him. Bittersweet memories, as always. Anat calmed as Kyrinov did, easing her stance and sniffing at the new man, the Chaplain letting out a soft chuckle that echoed down the passage as his following words drew out from his throat like honey from his lips.

“Lovely to see you here.”

Had enjoyed torturing and disfiguring the body of the poor initiate slightly more than he would like to admit it was clear that the poor kid was out of his depth at these trials. If he hadn't done it he was sure one of the other initiates would have done, however it was just unlucky that the poor boy had ran into the Nighthaunter who liked to take time with his prey. He was one that had mastered the art of the killing dance and understood more than any other silencer the art of murder, death and how one should worship such an act. He continued to stroll down the hallway keeping alert for anyone else that may have not heeded his warning and decided to stupidly follow him. He was not a force user so he therefore had to rely on his basic senses and years of experience running different assassination missions for Discordia and the Agents of Chaos in many different sectors and different planets.

He kept flicking through the many different filters on his HUD checking out his surrounds as his steps softly echoed on the stone in the underground hallway. No matter how softly he walked his position would be telegraphed to anyone he was approaching. He just had to be as ready as possible for the possible ambush or greeting from anybody looking to do any of the latter. Just as he was thinking about such a thing, he found there was a sword at his throat. Instinctively he had reached for his vibro dagger that was strapped to the side of his thigh in his Nightsuit. He then looked in front of him at the figure that had swung the sword and relaxed, of course he had gotten the drop on him.
"That was a new one, definitely not something I taught you." He said quietly in his raspy voice, "Is this anyway how you greet your former mentor?" He asked again his quiet voice looking Kyri up and down. He had certainly taken well to the mantle of Chaplain, he looked down to Anat his wolf. "Long time no see Anat..." He said looking at the wolf carefully. He was still a bit weary, he wasn't quite sure how Kyri would react to his return. He had after all psychologically, and physically tortured him when he trained him, you never know when a person might hold a grudge.

Dexter would take the hit. feeling his feet leave the ground, he'd smirk under his helmet.
Through the air, he heard the sound of an incoming projectile, a sound you learn to listen for when you know someone's waiting for an easy in while in midair he'd twist, the Arrow that should have hit his leg, now in his hand.
Grasped firmly, before being throw right back at the little sneaky shit Herah, aiming for her arm. In those tight few seconds Dexter would then hit the wall, his feet hitting first before allowing himself to jump back, tucking and rolling as he hit the ground till he was up again. He could feel the sweat running down his back, after while he was fast he was still human.

"Aww.. two against one. Hardly seems fair..." Normally drunk Dexter would make a comment how there are two women after him... but worked called right now, and they didn't need to know who they were up against yet.
"Ya going to have to get close if you want my token..." He'd take out his Vibroblades, twirling them to hold like daggers close to his chest before fanning out his arms and launching them each of them. One aimed at Neyana Neyana 's stomach and the other and Herah 's head.
"Come now? Don't you wanna win?... Don't you wanna be one of us... I thought you two would have been smart about this." Dexter would grin, revealing the token again before rolling it along his knuckles and snatching it again before opening his hands to show it was gone again like some cheap magic trick.

Well, at least this plan worked. Nicole did enjoy what Herah did, trying to hinder the man, but that also ended up being a failure of a strike. Though now she was armed and ready for whatever Dexter throws at her, and it seems he has taken that phrase quite literately. When the dagger is thrown in her direction, Nicole side steps to the left. "Ah, yes. And you like to throw things. I wonder. Can you handle what I enjoy throwing?" Nicole then moves to take out a vial from her attire, and throws it at Dexter. The vial has an odd red and blackish mixture. How odd. It almost seems like. Like Blood.

After tossing the vial, Nicole charges at him. She doesn't care if the vial hits him or not. At this current time, she wants a distraction.

Objective: Attempt to beat Dexter Zytros Dexter Zytros and get that coin, Maybe also deal with Neyana Neyana after words

Well she didn't think one arrow would cut it as she barely managed to dart to the side to avoid the arrow not enough though as it skimmed her arm abit, no one said you would come out of this spotless as she ducked the dagger that was thrown and aimed for her head. allright he wants to play hardball then we can play hardball as she witnessed Nicole throwing what looked like a blood vial towards him as she ran for him, She decided the upclose and personal method would be the better choice as she leaped from her position and dart for him as well. She wants that coin and shes going to do what she has to do to get it.

He laughed.

In the middle of a heist, with a sword at an old friend’s throat, the Sith laughed a bellow that likely echoed and bounced off of walls until it gave away their location, not that that would be a real problem with the three of them in one spot. “Of course it’s not, I wouldn’t use something you taught me against you. That would make me far too predictable, don’t you think?” The sword was gently pulled away from the man’s throat, finding its way back to its home in the sheath at his hip. A pale hand clapped the hooded figure’s shoulder and the Epicanthix offered a rare, genuine smile.

“And to answer your question, no, it isn’t any way to greet a former mentor. But, it is the way to greet another assassin. What brings you back to the Temple after so long? Did you get bored of being a lone wolf,” his tone suggested a bit of contempt and held subtle venom in it that he did not intend to let slip out. It was too late to change it now, he’d already said that he meant to say.

He turned his back to Nighthaunter and walked down the corridor, beckoning the assassin to follow him. They might as well walk and talk with all of the commotion going on today with the initiation of Phase 1 of Prowler initiation. He briefly wondered if Nighthaunter remembered the layout of the Temple. Had he memorized every turn and dip and crevice? After all, it was his creation. All of this was. The Silencers, the Temple, the Quiet Ones contracted to maintain the Temple. How much did he remember? How much did he know?

“I take it you aren’t just here to catch up for old time’s sake, correct?”

Let out a deep breath as the blade was removed from his throat by his former apprentice. He could hear the contempt in his former apprentices voice as he greeted him, he assumed it was from a feeling of abandonment that his former apprentice felt. He could only assume that after he had left Kyri had had to fight tooth and nail to get the Silencers up and running. Truth be told he was very much impressed to see the work that Kyrinov had done on the sanctum, he had managed to turn his blueprints into reality. In the beginning when he was training Kyrinov along with the first of the other initiates that didn't make it, this had just been a dream of his. One that his favourite apprentice had been able to see through to the very end, something he hadn't been able to do. He fortunately had a photographic memory and had been able to memorize his blue prints and had been using that memory to navigate the hallways.

He followed his apprentice down the hallway listening to him speak, "No I brought a young woman here called Daphne for cash, and well i feel like the Agents could use someone with her attributes otherwise I would have flat out refused to bring her here." He explained to Kyri before sighing,

"Unfortunately upon arrival here we got separated, and I lost her." He looked down at the floor in failure, a feeling he wasn't used to. He also he realized for the first time that his apprentice would see him being vulnerable. Which is not something he wanted to make a common occurence.
