Private The Rage of Wind

It felt like she had this conversation with another person a few years ago. Even then, the girl knew she wasn't ready to be considered a guide or teacher. Listening to Ronin's answer to her, she nodded. Xian was still a young adult but alone for many years. She was not afraid of her future. There was some hidden well of confidence in her, and it bubbled happily for a few moments. The joy simmered down quickly, and the length of the day caught up again with the teen.

When Ronin indicated they should rest, she couldn't help but agree. Laying down with her head resting on the vest, she used it as a pillow. On her hip was the lightsaber she had made when she was with the Jedi, and before closing her eyes, she caressed it slightly.

"See you in the morning, Master."

It had been a long day, but thankfully, they had encountered very few untoward incidents, if any at all. Give it some time, we're not ready to do that just yet. Despite the situation, Ron managed to maintain a sense of calm and reassurance as he provided Xian with an honest response. Even though he tries to push it aside, there is still a lingering doubt and a feeling of uncertainty that remains with him, especially when thinking about the days that lie ahead. Despite the passage of time, it remains a fact that it happened a while back. Without a shadow of a doubt, he firmly believed that ... This is not going to be an easy task, definitely not a quick Bantha milk run. Taking into account his interference, which was done with good intentions... Along with unresolved long-term setbacks, the event also had its fair share of controversy. Eventually, nothing came without a price and eventually one had to atone for it.

So as Xian settled in for the night, Ron did so as well... acknowledging her with a faint nod. Keep watch and secure the perimeter of their quaint encampment till morning came. And just as the pair began to pack up their camp from the distance, a lone drumbeat could be heard. Followed by a couple of blaring horns... sign that they indeed weren't that far off from the village. And that as best he tried, their presence might not go undetected much longer.

Stretching as the light entered through the rickety door, Xian lowered her arms and looked at her Master. There were circles under his eyes from staying up all night, and she shook her head slightly.

"We should take turns, Master. I can take some of the watch tonight so you can sleep, too. Do you want more of the ration bar for breakfast?"

Before wrapping up camp, she took one of the bars out of her bag and offered it to him. Holding her own in her other hand, she would eat even if Ron didn't. Hearing the drum beat and the horns sounding, she looked at him and lowered her eyebrows.

"What does that mean?"
