The Razing of Aldera[ME vs FWC]

eEUS5sy.png
Objective: 1, Attack the Alder Spaceport
Allies: Mandalorians
Enemies: Free Worlds Coalition
Aryn stood hunched in the small shipping container, his heavy warhammer leaning to the side and a half dozen or so Mandalorians in Beskar armor squished into the space behind him. He heard some slight grumbling as they were jostled and moved about, droids unloading the cargo freighter.
There were dozens of containers just like the one he was standing in all over the spaceport, each of them having been delivered by different freighters and different times. Everyone inside had been given rations and a way to keep themselves alive of course, so now they simply waited. The Strategy was not one that Aryn necessarily agreed with, mostly because Stealth had never been his way. Sneaking up on an enemy was difficult at the best of time, though he supposed this time it would succeed.
His fingers sprawled for a second.
Their goal was a simple one, their plan outlined by the Mand'alor himself. They were not here to conquer, they were not here to take Alderaan, not today.
The Togorian shifted slightly as the crate finally came to a stop, a lulled silence hanging over everyone inside. Aryn glanced down at his chrono for just a moment, his good eye falling on the timepiece. A small snarl pulled at his lips, his bulky form leaning down to grab the oddly shaped helmet off of the ground. He scooped it up and slipped it into his head, the seal quickly forming as the odd rubber light substanced beneath the beskar metal contorted to his face.
Ears pressed against his head for a moment before they poked through the sealed slits, twitching violently for a moment. "No holding back."
His words echoed in the small chamber, his fingers wrapping around the heavy handle of the Maul as his foot kicked out and sundered the doors in front of him.

OOC: Keep it light, keep it breezy.
Objectives 1; The Aldera Spaceport is being infiltrated by Mandalorians attempting to cause chaos and destruction.
Objective 2; The Mandalorians attempt to take over one of the three Saber-Class satellites.

No holding back

Shukalar's words echoed in the confines of the container, an open invitation to unleash the wrath of Mandalore to its fullest extent. Beneath his helmet, Silas lips twisted into a smirk, confident that every man and woman inside shared the same expression. Shotgun slung over his back, Silas drew the Gurlanin-pelt hood up and over his buy'ce. It, as well as the crimson wolf on his prosthetic's shoulder marked him clearly, he was Mantis, brother to The Wolf. The red coloration served to make the sigil more personal, to both separate him [member="Preliat Mantis"] as an individual, but still mark them as kin.

Perhaps his endeavors to make a name for himself had paid off, he'd led the charge on Sundari, spilled gallons of dar'manda blood, killed one of the Liberator's lieutenants. He'd succeeded in becoming more than just the brother of The Wolf, he was his own man now.

As Spar kicked down the door, Silas rushed outward, the Little Wolf in hand. A pair of guards were outside, absolutely dumbfounded by the horde of Mandalorians spilling out of the container. Before they could draw their weapons Silas was on them, a quick slash opening the throat of the first while his proesthetic hand wrapped around the head over the other and slammed it into the wall of another container. Blood and grey matter spattered across the surface, as well as jetting up his arm.

With a quick shake, the brains fell from his arm as well as most of the blood. Sheathing the beskad, he brought the shotgun into his hands before turning to the Torgorian and giving him a curt nod. No holding back.

"No trouble at all Captain, I'm just surprised at the pirate activity these days given the relative peace. Besides them boarding your freighter back on Caamas everything went smoothly wouldn't you say?" Laughing heartily, Derrick Veltraa of the Rendili Defense Force clapped the mercantile captain's back as he spoke. Often assigned to patrol the trade lanes and provide escort for freighters and convoys going back and forth between Rendili and Free World Coalition territory, Veltraa was no stranger to frequenting Alderaan or other well known worlds of the FWC. Although he had been surprised to encounter pirates near Caamas while moving to rendezvous with the freighters the Vigil Heart was to escort this cycle. Perhaps they believed security in the area would be low given the world's very pacifist tendencies. Regardless, even though they had boarded the vessels, the Defense Force Captain felt they had done a good job clearing them off.

Still, just as then, the merchants didn't at all look as pleased by the day's events as he was. They had requested he and his squads even stay aboard for the remainder of the trip back to ensure they were safe should they be boarded again. Well there hadn't been a problem with that, the Vigil Heart's bridge crew was very competent, maybe even more so whenever he was away, so there was no issue with him staying on the freighter till they were back. Although it did mean he had been stuck in his combat gear the rest of the trip. Nonetheless it didn't seem to damper the man's spirits as he continued to laugh jovially while his men shook their heads at him and looked to where the Vigil Heart's shuttles were making landfall on an entirely different pad far off to pick them up. THis was restricted for trading vessels after all. "Well if you don't need anything else, we'll be on our way oh fine traders."

Humming, the Rendili Captain signaled his squads to pack up their carbines and get moving, intending to hopefully be back to the shuttles and the Vigil Heart before the afternoon was through.

Pardon me, child, but when you expressed an interest in Alderaani fashions, I expected… clothing?” Baiko no Kaho, President of Aditya Mantis’ companies until Yasha Mantis turned of age, walked beside a wisp of a girl draped in Kimono and hakama, a wolf medallion necklace prominently displayed on her chest. A pair of pink and orange chrome goggles dressed the girl’s clean face, strap tucked under the coiling up-do holding her mahogany hair to the crown of her head with Artisan hair picks and a flower comb.

But Baiko, we did look at the clothes. Alllllll day and Daddy is going to love it, when we find him. This is a satellite built and designed by Mandalorians! How can I not see it!? My people built it.” Yasha spoke in Epicant and Atrisian, pointing at another series of panels on their way back to the Myrmadinas.

The Atrisians are your people, child… child!” Baiko cast her eyes up to the heavens and watched a quite uncharacteristically elegant Yasha Mantis run off toward yet another security panel.

Why did I let the Myrmadinas dock with this station? I should know better at my age.” Baiko groaned in Atrisian. She shuffled after the Mantis child, daughter of her beloved Mistress. A traditional Atrisian, Baiko spent her entire life in service to the Royal House, her services as educator, housekeeper and confidante made her the perfect candidate to take the transplanted Aditya Fitz-Kierke from former Panathan ballerina and engineer to Atrisian Nobility. Aditya was gone and the aging servant refused to abandon Clan Mantis. There was another young lady who needed her, currently to wrangle Yasha back to the Myrmadinas.

You have seen it! Come, now.” A sound rocked the satellite. Baiko stopped shuffling toward the girl and cast her gaze around. “Yasha.

Another growl and crash. The sound of voices growing louder, footsteps pounding through the corridors. Yasha rushed back to Baiko’s side, taking her hand as the shadows lengthened into Mandalorian Commandoes.

Baiko pushed Yasha behind her, but the girl peeked out. “Ambrose?!

His name saved them, just as the commandoes raised their rifles.

… Little Rekr?! Holy kark, Mantis! Where’s your gear!?” Ambrose Vizsla nodded the others off. The infiltration team rushed past, shooting as they went.

Gear!?” Yasha perked up, a hopeful grin on her face.

We aren’t here to do battle, I am taking Yasha to Atrisia! Can you give us safe passage to our ship?” Baiko asked. Ambrose Vizsla laughed and shook his buy’ce-clad head.

She is your safe passage. I’ve seen you fight, Little Rekr. Are you armed?” He watched Yasha shake her head, nothing but a hidden beskad strapped to her thigh. “Here. We’re taking over this satellite. There’s no way your ship is leaving until this is done. It’s still flying Mandalorian colours?

He gave Yasha his MT-14 holdout pistol, and watched Baiko nod. “Clan Mantis.

The Wolf isn’t here too, is he!?” Ambrose whistled for [member="Kaden Farr"]. “Farr! You’re off Beta. Protect them… it’s all I can do.

My appreciation… Yasha!

It’s a raid, Baiko! I can help!” Yasha hopped up and down, her kimono and hakama rustling as she went.

Yasha!

Not… not like in the fighting, they’re trying to take over, right!? I need Mama’s tech kit. We’re splicing in.

The Mandalorians were back.

The Undying had rallied the people behind his banner, won the civil war and now prepared to paint his mark on the galaxy.

Aldera was first, as if decided on an alphabetical order. Packed in a container, a group of blood thirsty warriors awaited the signal to unleash hell. To make the T-visor once again a nightmare to the whole galaxy.

To bring back the reputation they had lost.

And so it began. Spar's kick tore the door down and let loose the hounds of war. The Sons and Daughters of Mandalore. In a flash, guards who had the terrible luck of having this shift, were sent to the other world.

Bevii'ragir in hand and wrist shield up, Fett took point as he stormed the area with no remorse.

—————

Kaden had been assigned to work with Ambrose and the Beta team. They were not the Echoy’la Soluse. He didn’t like how they moved or what they did. Even though he had helped take out the shields at the spaceport in the final battle of their Civil War, the others didn’t want to view him as a warrior. He was a good hunter, and trained warrior having passed his own verd’goten. There was still some lingering beliefs that he was too young for this. When he was told to step forward, still too short to see who Ambrose had been talking to, he came from the back dressed in his armor. It was all black with the exception of some red in his visor and the sigil of Clan Mantis on his shoulder plate.

”How many times do I have to tell you... it’s Mantis, not Farr,” Kaden said as the Katar under his right wrist came out from its hidden compartment. The threat was clear enough as to what Kaden would do if he didn’t get it right.

He turned to look at the group he’d been told to guard, two women, and one of them his eyes could not leave. Kaden quickly took his helmet off and clipped it to his belt just after the katar returned to its place.

”Yash’ika!?

Kaden was shocked. First he couldn’t believe she was there, and secondly the fact she was dressed in something not Mandalorian. The crown on her head certainly wasn’t something he’d ever seen on a young woman before, but he didn’t care. Kaden was too caught up in the fact he hadn’t seen his Yasha since the night Preliat took her away from Mandalore.

Ambrose had given her a hand pistol. He took it back and handed it to the man.

”She can handle a bigger weapon than that. She’s a better fighter than anyone in this strike team.” Kaden handed her his carbine while he reached over his back for the heavier assault blaster he carried with him as well. ”I’ll keep them safe... just get on with the objective.”

Kaden wanted for them to leave before scooping Yasha into his arms for a hug.

”By the Manda I have missed you... we have to stick with the strike team though. We are taking one of the satellites, and they are not as effecient as we were... they need us...”

Being a military space station, and one of the key points of the System's defense, the Saber-class Orbital platforms were controlled by the Knights of Alderaan. So by whatever magic or trickery they managed to get aboard the station, when Mandalorians, even those dressed in kimonos showed up during a terrorist attack on the Planet, sirens began going off. It wasn't like they invited random corporations to come look at military installations everyday.

Laira had spent her morning kicking it with the other members of the Ranger Corp when the initial sirens began going off. Why was it she couldn't have one day off without something bad happening?

The Ranger was already wearing her standard gear, it was easy enough to dress in as it consisted of unassuming street cloths and underarmor plus weaponry. The one armed warrior was on the security center in short notice. "Sitrep."

"Ranger Darkhold, hostiles entering from hangar. Station is moving to lock down and red alert. The Knights aboard will provide defense to essential systems." Not a whole lot of essential systems on the Spears of Organa, really just reactor and bridge, and Knights weren't exactly pushovers like random stormtrooper number three. "We will provide teams with information from the security systems."

"Very well, I'll take Dimeria and few others and start doing sweeps." The redhead snapped her fingers for the small group to follow her towards the sign of hostiles attempting to infiltrate the station. "Clearing out the rats. Weapons hot." A gold armored woman and handful of dark armored warriors followed behind the flame-haired ranger with one arm.

It didn't take long for the comm channels to break out over the Mandalorian attacks taking place up on the Satellite and down at the spaceport. As the Rendili Defense Force Troopers all listened in on the alert going on, their Captain ground his teeth for a moment before a big grin spread over his features. To the soldiers under Veltraa's command they knew what the man's thoughts were. Especially since they knew that a regular police security force was likely being butchered by the surprise attack and they were closer than any Alderaanian Military Unit. "Squad Leaders form your units up! Check your blasters and stow your vibroswords!" Before the Rendili Officer had to say a word the veterans of the Vigil Heart, those who had fought for the Republic, resisted Sith occupation of their homeworld, and seen more than their fair share of battlefields and pirate raids, were hefting their P-7 Blaster Carbines, checking ammo cartridges, and securing their vibroswords at their sides.

Derrick Veltraa himself clapped the helmet of his combat armor, the same armor the majority of his soldiers were wearing, checking it was snugly fit against his head. With a nod that he was content with the state of his own equipment, the Captain surveyed his forces as they formed up into their squads, enough to fill the four Rendili Atmospheric Entry Transports the Vigil Heart carried aboard and had launched them with to land within the mercantile vessel when the pirates boarded it what felt like ages ago even though it had been yesterday. It was an imposing sight the red armor in rank together, but what was perhaps a more reassuring sight for the Defense Force Troopers was the blue mixed in. The armor of Rendili's Battlemasters the elite special forces units, those at the front of pirate boarding actions and protecting VIPs, replete with their phrik electrostaffs and flowing armorweave cloaks, it was a hope inspiring view for the Rendili Regulars to see three squads supporting them.

"All forces form up and spread out, we'll form a net and push toward the cargo containers the Mandalorians spilled out of! Battlemasters spread out, one squad at the center and one toward either edge of the formation. Sergeant Bor your Squad is at the Center with me as well! All Rendili Defense Force members! Move out and remember, Mandalorians only look invincible until enough blaster bolts put them down!" Laughing, the Rendili Captain broke into a job, the thumping of heavy boots at his back as the Rendili Defense Force contingent of the Vigil Heart took up after him, blasters at the ready as they slid into formation. It was time for Rendili's Defense Force to fight the Mandalorians on behalf of the Free World Coalition.

Oh no.” Baiko no Kaho touched her forehead with her fingers, as the elegantly armoured [member="Kaden Mantis"] took off his buy’ce and clipped it on his belt. Yasha’s mouth dropped, her cheeks burning with a layer of pink Baiko knew all too well from raising her daughters. The girl was smitten, and now that Kaden had beskar’gam? Oh how much more the warrior he looked.

“@Preliat Mantis is going to kill him… and me.” Baiko muttered in Atrisian, rolling her eyes. “Ancestors, preserve us.

She searched the corridor back the way the Mandalorians came, and the way they went. Muttering under her breath, the aging Atrisian waited for two others to join her, one with a pack on his back, the other with a rifle across her armoured chest. Yasha deciding on slicing into a computer was a great deal safer than her usual ilk. What was supposed to be a short hand-off of mining goods to the Alderaani from the Imperial Mining Company had become a Mandalorian raid.

Children! We must maintain a sense of secrecy in this place… quickly now! You may be a Mandalorian adult, but you are a child to me! Go! To safety! Yasha, you are not allowed to ruin your yukata, your father worked hard to provide it for you!” Always a teachable lesson.

KADEN!?” Yasha stopped short, nearly dropping the pistol. He’d grown a good inch since she last saw him, or maybe it was the armour. Either way, when he clipped his buy’ce to his belt, Yasha’s heart thudded against her kimono. She suddenly cared very much about her clothing and hair.

Yasha threw her arms around his shoulders, her cheek pressing against his chin. “You… you changed your name?! I told you, you’re a Mantis! Your beskar’gam looks… looks… wow.

She hugged him as tight as she knew how. Living off Mandalore without [member="Kaden Mantis"] and [member="Narir Tracyn"] was as hard as beskar for the warrior girl. Life for a Lady was as boring as taupe paint on an unadorned wall, filled with outfits, Baiko’s endless rules and academic ‘catching up’. Kaden’s use of the past tense shot into Yasha’s gut.

Were.

He was already thinking of their battles in the past tense. How much sooner was she going to be forgotten? Another person in Kaden’s life who melted away? She clung to his neck, pressing her cheek into his.

I can’t fight, I promised Daddy.” Yasha whispered, leaning back only when Baiko made her ‘annoyed and meaning it’ noise from the back of her throat.

But I can help. Kaden, this is the satellite! It’s one of three and it’s awesome! Total modded Mando tech! We’ve gotta get my Mom’s slicer kit from the Myrmadinas and I can mess this place up! Break in the back door and usurp the systems.” Yasha bit her lip and hopped up and down.

I can hack this thing, Kade!” As if on cue, Baiko’s compatriots handed Yasha a bag, with her gauntlets and her mother’s slicer gear. Yasha pulled the gauntlets on, took a data pad and launched into the satellite schematics.

Satellite… a station with as many as 250 passengers (aside from the military presence), it was far more than a mere satellite. Alcoves and nooks held innocuous panels, office doors went into a labyrinth of corridors and Yasha pointed at an access corridor.

That one! I don’t see any heat signatures, it’s deserted.” Yasha rushed, knowing better than to stay out in the open. Once in the access corridor, Yasha plugged into a side panel and started tapping at a holographic keyboard which appeared in front of her.

Hold on, I’m trying to cut the sec-cam feeds, stop anyone from seeing us.” Yasha slid a wheel-based hacker ice program into the security camera’s back doors, watching as they shut tight on her. Two led to further data doors, and Yasha kept the ice running as she tapped out and called up the tech schematic. Holocams everywhere. Automated defence grids.

Kade, it’s like Cold Iron City. I can do this. I know I can. Buy me time... I see sec-dep mobilizing. I'm getting visible systems, but I can't mod them yet.

Jyoti took her seat alone at a small table near the back of the cafe, blueberry scone in one hand, and a tall cup of pumpkin spiced latte in the other. Thirst greater than hunger at that moment, she took a sip of the latte first.

The overprocessed beverage wasn't as quite as tasty as what she was used to back home, but it still hit the spot with its sweet and nutty notes, masking the underlying bitterness of the coffee base quite well. She knew a few people that drank their coffee straight black, but she couldn't imagine drinking it in such a state, tasting little better than tar water.

While she continued enjoying her latte, she studied her surroundings. All patrons were haggard travelers like she, looking to pick up something quick on their way their way on and off Alderaan. The Echani herself had business with the Aldera enclave, there to provide a lecture on Force Imbuement.

A disturbance in the Force snapped her out of her idle gazing. The familiar tremors from a violent death.

More were to come, followed by a rising panic centered at one end of the spaceport. Of course, no one else around could feel psychic feedback, but they all turned heads as they heard the distant whine of blasters and the crack of slugthrowers.

Concerned chatter picked up among the patrons, quite a few hurrying out of the cafe for an exit. Others stayed, gripped by the fear of the unknown.

The Echani was the sole patron to leave the cafe and head right for the direction of the commotion, snacks forgotten. Back into the main terminal, she could now make out shouting, while the sounds of gunfire had increased in tempo.

From a brisk walk, she broke into a full sprint, reaching under her black bomber jacket for her shoulder holster, feeling for the notched grip of her heavy blaster pistol. A chrome and enamel lightsaber hilt was nestled in a holster under the opposite arm. One elegant but deadly weapon of last resort.

"I did change my name. Ra said he wanted the Mandos to take their clan name and even though I was born into Clan Farr... I am a Mantis," Kaden said with a huge smile as he squeezed Yasaha.

They held their embrace long enough that Yasha's caretaker let out a sound to indicate her annoyance and frustration with the situation. What was evident to her was not evident to either of the other two. Kaden would have to admit though that seeing Yasha only made all the confusing feelings leap to the front of his mind. He would also have to admit her absence made them less confusing. Kaden found himself hoping he was still her Kaden and she was still his Yasha.

"You can't fight," he said as he muttered a few choice words under his breath. Her father was trying to rob her of the one thing Yasha knew she was, a warrior. Yes she looked pretty in the outfit she was in, and tiara on her head proved her nobility, but Yasha was a fighter and warrior. It was in her nature, and Preliat could only deny that of her for so long. She would need to have her verd'goten, even if Kaden had to steal her away for it.

Kaden turned to the caretaker. At least she recognized his adulthood.

"We agree on the secrecy, but I can assure you that I am quite capable of keeping both of you safe, and if it comes down to keeping us all alive then perhpas you will see the team Yasha and I are known to be. For now, we will do everything we can to ensure she keeps her promise to Preliat."

He nodded toward the older woman after speaking. There was a moment where he searched for an understanding that if it came to keeping Yasha alive the girl would be allowed to fight.

Yasha was leading them toward access. If she could slice her way into the main controls then she would give them all what they needed to gain control of the sattelite. He trusted her capabilites without fail. As they began to move, Kaden put his helmet back on. The HUD in his helmet searched for a secure channel that he could link Yasha too. When he had a chance he tapped her on the shoulder and with hand signals told her what channel to find him on.

As she continued to work, Kaden put his back to hers. He faced the door to cover her backside in case security came for them.

<<< "If you can set that up to get the feed sent to my HUD then do it. I can't keep my eyes on everything at once, and having access to the system would be great. I'll get you the time you need, just be quick."

Blaster fire could be heard coming from the direction Kaden had last seen the beta team head. Hopefully they could hold them off longer, but if not Kaden was ready to kill. In fact, the saftey on his blaster was no longer on. The sattelite was now an active battle zone. Voices could be heard on the other side of the door now. They had isolated the source of the hack. Kaden blasted the door control and forced them to have to cut their way in. This way he could pick them off one at a time as they did.

He looked to the caretaker.

"I hope you are good with a blaster because I'm going to need your help. Keep working, Yash'ika."

A loud roar escaped his throat as his hammer came smashing down against one of the thicker door panels that stood in his way. There was a slight spark and a crackle of electricity and then the door slowly began to fold open.

The Togorian shifted.

They had a clear objective here, taking on the forces that would come to the Spaceport and tying up as many of them as possible. That meant securing the building sector by sector and ensuring everything was set correctly into place. He waved over to one of the Lieutenants that he had brought. "Take the Security tower."

He told Silas, his voice gruff and quick as he drew back his hammer. The spaceport opened up in front of him, and in the distance he could hear the scream of civilians as Mandalorian soldiers began to spread out throughout the facility. Most of them were more than eager to do this work, though for now Aryn had ordered them to slay only the guards.

"Take command of the Starports defensive turrets." Aryn drew himself up. "Turn them on the city around us."

He turned towards the man. "I'll draw them away to give you an opening."

An easy enough tough, he was always a target.

"As you command Shukalar." He replied curtly.

Silas turned to the group of Mandalorians beginning to spread out into the area before he laid eyes of several of the troops who'd accompanied him during the purge. Two Saxons and a Vizsla. "Manra, Esgor, Rutar, with me." He ordered, hefting his shotgun in one hand he beckoned them to follow with the the other.

For a moment his thoughts drifted to [member="Kaden Mantis"], unaware of [member="Baiko no Kaho"] and [member="Yasha Mantis"]' arrival, as far as he knew his adopted son was surrounded by men and women he hardly knew after having only fought with the Echo'lay Soyuse before. Ambrose was there, sure, the Vizsla had become somewhat of a family friend over the years, but still he wondered how his ad would fare. It was difficult to adjust to a new unit the first time around, especially after so long.

But his boy could handle it, that much he was damn sure of.

His compliment quickly complied and rallied around him as he began moving in the direction of the security tower, not going for an all out blitz yet as he awaited Spar's distraction, but weaving his way through the maze of shipping containers towards the security nexus of the port. They were under strict orders to kill no one but security personnel yet, so when they came across a dock worker scared of her Rodian mind, Silas dispatched her with a swift blow from the butt of the MF-44. She crumpled to the floor unconscious, and Silas stood vigilant, waiting for his chance to move.

And so they split. Mantis ordered to take over the Security Tower with a few more men, while Fett would follow the iron-clad Togorian into the fray. While usually large among his race, Caius couldn't feel short in comparison to the behemoth of a Mandalorian beside him.

Not surprisingly, they would be the one to try and take the brunt of the fire.

Fett double checked his energy shield and followed Spar further into the facility with his spear making quick work of any armed opposition they faced.

Civilians were to be spared.

Given both groups positions, it was only inevitable that they would cross paths, each preventing the other from reaching the other side of the spaceport complex. What mattered was what would happen when both forces collided. Moving down the center sectors of the building, Derrick Veltraa had felt the tension rise as fleeing citizens ran past his squad while they waved them out of the way. The same was being reported from the other squads further out in the building forming the wings of the Rendili Defense Force soldiers pseudo formation. It meant they were getting closer to the culprits behind the attack, and it had every member of the unit on edge and focused. At the very least when the time came, Veltraa could say that it was easy to see the enemy when they reached one another.

It was after all, very hard to miss such a large alien wrapped in immense armor flanked by several others wearing, similar yet uniquely individual, combat equipment.

It really was Mandalorians. . . .weren't a few friendly to Alderaan? Well, to pretend to know another culture, one known to have such a thing as inter clan fighting, was foolish.

Especially when one can just blast them.

"Fire on hostiles!" Not that the Rendili Officer needed to say anything as blaster bolts already flashed by Derrick as Sergeant Bor's Squad took up firing positions, sliding toward the walls near cover such as benches meant for waiting travelers while the Battlemaster Squad spread out more slowly, focusing on shooting the mandalorian invaders ahead of them and using their superior armor to defend their allies until they had reached cover. Then they themselves would begin to drift toward cover, Lieutenant Jenno moving to lean over a packed cargosled Veltraa himself was using for cover. "All units contact has been made, I repeat contact has been made. Proceed with caution and watch for anymore in your sectors."

Focused on the large armored alien, the Rendili Captain grinned, excited for the fight though he felt some anger over the imprudent attack.

The presence of [member="Kaden Mantis"] and the Mando’ade was a dangerous quotient to the station, and as the sounds of blaster fire and scuffles further on radiated around Baiko no Kaho’s ears, she clucked her tongue.

Glory. She’d give them glory. Grind it up and bake it into bread for them to eat with their bitter grief later on. She stared hard and unforgiving in Kaden’s eyes, a woman who not only weathered storms, but became them.

My priority is bringing Yasha to Atrisia. That includes weathering this inconvenient hurricane… with or without her help.” Baiko watched Yasha begin to slice into the computer systems, burrowing deep a sense of pride that her computer classes were going so well.

Blaster… I am the loyal Handmaiden of a Mandalorian’s wife and daughter, and you ask me if I know how to fire a blaster?” Baiko spat the word, setting herself on the other side of [member="Yasha Mantis"].

You need my help with a good deal, Master Kaden.” Baiko took the blaster pistol and checked it over. A plebeian’s tool, but it would work… for the moment. “Might I suggest next time you’d like to see the young Lady, you ask for a ride? Perhaps join us at the Estate?

Your new name suits you, [member="Kaden Mantis"]. I’m proud, sure Uncle Silas is proud too.” Yasha put her now-gauntlet clad hand on Kaden’s arm, giving it a squeeze.

Slicing into the station’s operational systems was coming up with less resistance than Yasha’s young mind should have considered. The girl didn’t stop to consider why the Alderaani station was under-guarded in the tech department, instead chalking it up to the original Mandalorian manufacture of the station, and her mother’s slicer gear.

Baiko can handle herself, and be nice… right Baiko?” Yasha smirked under her goggles, tapping in through the slicer ice and bypassing another passcode algorithm. She clicked to Kaden’s private channel, handling him feeds of the sec-cams in the station.

We’ve got visual… and temp control… now… environmental control.” Fingers tapping between holographic screens and keyboards, Yasha looked up only to hear the sizzle of the blast door as the Alderaani cut their way in.

I see Ambrose… Beta Squad is a go. No casualties on our side, yet… keep them off me, I’m patching through enviro-control to compartmental controls.” Part of environmental controls fed into the system of compartmentalized blast doors throughout the station. If there was a battle for the exterior of the station, enviro-controls had to be capable of shunting vacuum or breaking points from voiding the entire station. If she could break through and connect to the compartment systems, Yasha could shut out or shut in the Alderaani security teams… for a while. Her viruses ate away at the encoding software, until the layers of Alderaani protection began to translate into Atrisian, which Yasha understood.

Got it!” Yasha grinned, and the blast doors around the other side of them shut. All throughout the station, blast doors and emergency hatches clanged shut, but for the ones needed by Ambrose Vizsla and his team. They had a clear path to Station HQ, and Yasha let them know it, by feeding into the station’s intercom.

Mando’ade. Mando’ade… we have compartment control. You are Go for HQ.” Yasha’s voice threaded through all the speakers, and as she shut off her intercom, her fingers kept flying despite the orange and yellow slag coming from the blast door. The subroutine she implanted behind her wiped all other security codes, eliminating voice and eye recognition, any recognition of control aside from Aditya and [member="Preliat Mantis"]’ daughter.

Life support’s next… if I can cut it and vent… we stand a better chance. I don’t think the Alderaani have full containment armour on like Mando’s… I need a couple more minutes.” Yasha’s fingers continued flying as system by system, she rerouted control to the substation she’d hacked into. The Automated Defence Grid was next, a harder core of security coiled around by Aditya Mantis’ code-scrambling ice. The ice slammed into the sec-codes, breaking off pieces at a time and giving Yasha enough room to have her authority codes splice between the layers as if they were always there. Once she was seen as an authority with clearance, Yasha could block out the security codes of legitimate Alderaani staff.

Almost there… life support systems are mine. Venting life support in compartments three through seventeen.” Yasha hit the button and vented atmo in fourteen compartments filled with Alderaani soldiers and officers. She watched passively as they fell in turn choking to the ground, careful to avoid any compartments which appeared to have civilians aboard. The automated defence grid shone in yellow pock marks on the station schematics, one gun battery and force field at a time turning from yellow to green. “… Mando’ade command, repeat, fleet command this is Yasha Mantis. I’m gaining control of the Station… what do you want me to do with it?

Not Ordo

Just under the upper hand.
The message had been recieved. The ship took little time to set jump coordinates and it was away. Kal sat im the brig his hands and feet locked into manacles and a shock collar firmly in place as he listened to the comms being sent through the ship.

His yellow eyes scanned the cell of the Kandosii-class Battlecruiser and he could feel the ship pass into hyperspace. He wondered what was happening. He wished he had a viewport briefly so he could see.

The ship captain issued orders to prepare tractor beams on reentry to real space so he assumed they were caputring something. He hoped the blonde woman wherever she was didn't die. That one was his kill.
