She smiled but wondered why she was smiling. "So I finally have a sibling. A sister, and a beautiful one at that." She grabbed Selene's hand. "Thank you for watching over me, I know that things couldn't have been easy for you, like making relationships with people." The look on Eliza's fae was pure love, she was still shocked that this had happened but she had love for her new family. A family of two.
"Now what happened with the family? I know there is more to it."

"I made a promise when you were born. I promised to always look after you and show you what a real family and life is about." When Eliza made her comment about relationships I shuddered, I forgot that we were the last two alive holding the Downheart name. Our father was the last in his line, and of course since we were the only children alive after out brother died and being that we are girls we would not always carry the name. Unless we married to someone who would take the name.
"Our 3 cousins on our mothers side were the ones who killed our parents. Melinda, Joshua, and Terina Dane. They are still alive somewhere in this life but nobody knows where. They wanted to kill the two of us as well but didn't get the chance. Our bond is deeper tan you know, your ice and my fire have much more to do with each other than we really think. It is as if we were chosen."

She listened carefully to her sister, taking it all in. The family pushing her away, but also the fact that she had love for her. Enough love to look after her all these years.
"That must have taken a lot out of your life, like finding love and friendships." She was quiet but persistent.
Her mouth opened slightly when she heard of her cousins, why would they want us? We are nothing special, well Selene may be but Eliza thought she was less than normal.
"So why do they want to kill us? I mean I can't even use my ice properly, I have times when I accidentally freeze food or the stuff around when I get surprised or scared."
