The SSD palace that fired upon Adenn's formation would've wiped them all out had the shields not come, had the Mandalorians not entered the city itself, had... the list went on, but it didn't matter now. The Mandalorians were still alive, still fighting, and more than willing to continue to do so. As such, they fought on, advancing ever closer to Sith lines, often on top of or through them already. Then the beast came out and the regular troops truly saw what they were facing. Adenn was one of those that finally saw the thing making the tremors and sizemic readings. IT was a great leviathan and it made many a Mandalorian want to kill it, as it would be a hard kill.
While the Mandalorians saw the beast and knew they couldn't easily harm it, it seemed that the Sith troops were less knowledgeable, as they fired upon the thing rather quickly. Most of the Mandalorians didn't notice that though, but those that did ordered for another charge. Amongst those who had ordered this was Adenn, having given the order rather personally. Adenn smiled as he watched the Sith troops fire upon the beast, eager to note the things reaction.
Then they noticed how the Sith troops were moving out of the beasts way. That was and wasn't good, for it meant the thing couldn't be readily controlled, or at least not to the knowledge of the Sith leader. This meant it could as easily hit Sith lines as Mando lines. The Mando forces slowed then, still firing at the Sith troopers that were leaving, but not openly following them. They were wary of traps left behind by the barricades, or anything else really. No matter, many fought on, even as more died to the Sith that were retreating. It wasn't good, nor was it gory, but it was most certainly bad fro the success of the mission.
As for the other vehicles of Clan Mortui, the Titan Tanks rolled onwards, taking the place of the vanguard, moving to dealw ith any lingering forces. The WLO tanks were with them, providing support as they advanced, while others on the fringes shot at the Sith troops. At the same time, the Aryx scout vehicles attempted to continue and hound their progress. Hellwalkers also continued to take potshots at the formations of Sith troops, though they made sure to keep an eye on their surroundings as well.
All in all, the Mandos were doing rather well, despite the losses. Not only that, but the losses countinued to rise, with numerous ARyx vehicles being destroyed as they fired at the flanks of Sith troops. Another pair of WLO tanks was also destroyed completely, along with several Helllwalkers nearby being damage, though none knew who or why. More Titan Tanks were destroyed as well, their drives being destroyed, their pilots killed, and then the husks used as cover by either side. IT was very deadly for the Mandalorians, but they forged on, for Mandalore.
Joycelyn Zambrano
The driver of the WLO tank died almost immediately, having been hit by the pulse canon and concussion rifles. He fell forward then, causing the tank to rush forward suddenly. This saved the gunner from immediate death, though he wasn't in a much better position, as the tank ran forward and crashed into a building, a dozen meters ahead. Turning the gun around, the gunner opened fire on the Sith troopers without taking proper aim. As they did this, the Aryx driver called it in, even as they turned around to fire as well. Then the joints were crushed almost completely, meaning the Aryx was just a large, sitting turret. Nonetheless it continued to fire, even as the rest of the troops acted as well.
The nearest squad of Mandalorians jetpacked to the stricken tank, moving to intercept the Sith troops from hitting the tank any harder. Immediately a pair was cut down, not that the others were deterred. They instead threw themselves into the fray, attacking the Sith troops, particularly the crownguard, with all they had. For the most part, this Mandalorian squad had regular blasters or more advanced slugthrowers, but a handful of them had melee weapons. Said handful were the ones charging the crownguard, their armament ranging from axes to swords, whips to more.
While this was the first squad to reply to the call for aid, Joycelyn and her cohorts would most certainly hear how other units in the vicinity were moving as well, coming closer. This was heard through the roaring of engines, blasts of jetpacks, and the fire of the troops intensifying. Another squad was even now about to crest over the buildings near them, intent on facing down the Sith.
Taeli Raaf
Hell's Angel continued its barrage towards the great hydra. It focused its fire on the body of the beast, with the laser canon and devastator firing almost constantly towards the front section. As that happened, the AV-7's on top of Hell's Angel kept firing at the beast, aiming to hit the top of its body. For now, Hell's Angel stood surrounded by Hellwalkers and Titan Tanks, along with the regular troops. It was by far the biggest weapon these Mandalorians had, yet it was only 3/4ths the height of the beast, as Hell's Angel stood tall at 125m. Not that it truly mattered in the end, to the Mandos or anyone else really.
As Hell's Angel fired upon the beast, the Hellwalkers did so as well, firing their main guns towards the body of the giant beast. Knowing that it most likely wouldn't do much, they kept firing regardless, hoping to distract or simply injure the beast. They all fired really, with the closest Titan Tanks around Hell's Angel firing their missile loads towards the beast, though the majority kept firing at the Sith troops before them. Hopefully the beast would notice and be injured, preferably killed, but it was a long shot.
