Atop his titan tank, Adenn saw the enemy clearly, and clearly they saw him. Not that the shots aimed at him bothered him, most didn't even come close, and the few that did simply impacted against his armor or the shield and did little to no damage. From his position he also saw how the enemy was sallying forth to engage his men, and he relayed that to them. Adenn had planned for such an eventuality, suspecting that whoever commanded the Sith forces would be bloodthirsty enough to sally forth, even if it was simply to slow down the Mando'ade.

As the mailed fist troops of the Sith engaged the Mandalorians, they threw their cryoban grenades, only to hit the shields. A few here and there landed through the firing slits of the shields, but most hit the shields themselves. While this definitely weakened the shields, in some cases lucky hits from heavier weapons even destroyed them, the shields were designed to take beatings, and thus most continued to serve, despite their newfound frostiness. Aside from that, the AT-ADs leading the charge were mainly hit in the upper portions of their chasis, preventing them from turning to fire, but not preventing a forward advance. Several froze completely though, still firing in straight lines, but no longer able to move. These would be the biggest obstacle for the advancing formations of Mandalorians.

As the AT-AD and Beskad Warrior formations closed with the mailed fist Sith troops, they suddenly slammed to a stop, becoming stationary turtle formations that continued to fire out into enemy formations. From behind these turtle formations jetpacked troops would fly up and over, before coming down amongst the Sith troops. These Mandos were armed with a mixture of flamethrowers, sonic weapons, and a handful of disruptors per squad. As soon as they landed amongst the airborne troops landed, the turtle formations were up and marching forward once more. The AT-ADs leading the charge, soaking up most of the damage. Behind them the Beskad Warriors loosed assortments of detonators towards the enemy squads, anything from stun grenades to thermal detonators, and everything in between except smoke. It was here and now that the forward formations hit the outskirts of Sundari city, with the formations of troops continuing on as they had been, shield formations up, and guns shooting nonstop at enemies. They needed a harder push into the turtle formation for a true trap to be opened on them.

As Sith formations moved to flank the front line, the center Titan Tanks and Hellwalkers moved to intercept, spreading outward. Well, the Hellwalkers continued marching forward, while the Titan Tanks moved to close ranks with the attacking Sith tanks. They didn't have as much maneuverability or speed, but they made up for it with firepower, simply firing at the enemy tanks. Numerous Titan Tanks halted and turned into their more formidable version, firing anti-tank rounds at the Sith tanks. This fire came in the form of rockets, heavy tank rounds, and a handful of powerful laser canons.

Meanwhile the Titan Tanks, AT-ADs, and Beskad Warriors on the edges of the forward wedges slowly began to reposition themselves to deal with the flanking tanks, while also protecting themselves from the front. It was a hard, if not impossible task, but they still moved quickly, for their lives depended on it. Despite this, as enemy fire hit them, several tanks stopped due to damage and a few exploded. Several AT-ADs were hit as well, thankfully it was mainly them and not the more valuable Beskad Warriors. The Titan Tanks on the sides had no shields on the front, except the very first one at the front. But they didn't really need it, for the AT-ADs and Beskad Warriors could use their shields for this task. It wouldn't be overly effective, but it would suffice. The Titan Tanks and Hellwalkers on the edges used themselves as shields for the troops, while also opening fire on their formations. Those on the edges would be shredded by the initial fire from the enemy tanks, with countless dying, but the rest continued on, fighting to win. On this side, the Mandalorians were preparing for the moment that the Sith troops would charge into them, waiting ever so patiently, planning to unleash on them a plan of capture and destruction.

The remaining Titan Tanks and Hellwalkers remained in the center of the formation, continuing to fire out and towards the Sith troops. Those with AA weapons panned their weapons upward, opening fire on the fighters and bombers that the Sith had sent towards Hell's Angel. Said titan for its part continued on, turning its devestator canon to the left flank and opening fire on the flanking Sith vehicles, while the laser canon shot once more at the same Barrage. Hell's Angel didn't seem to care about the incoming enemy fire, not that it really could care to move, but that was beside the point for those watching. As the bombs hit the walkers shield, it visibly stopped for a few moments, shaking from the explosions. Then it stopped once more, shield flickering somewhat from the ion shots. What Adenn soon learned, but the Sith wouldn't know, is that it wouldn't be able to move for at least 10 minutes. The reason was simple, it had diverted power from the body to the shields, to prevent too much damage from occurring. This allowed the ion bombs to disable its forward movement. It could still turn its weapons slowly and shoot them, but no true movement from the legs.

yTqNtKw.png

Adenn was atop his Titan Tank, having clearly shown himself to the enemy. Many had already fired at him, but it was not what he wanted. No, he wanted someone bigger and better to truly fight him. It was then that he heard the roar and the sounds of flames. Turning to face the direction it was coming from, Adenn smiled grimly as he saw the massive dragon. Numerous Tracyn Mirshko's, both with and without riders, rose up to attack the other dragon, even as it flew off. But Adenn had eyes only for the one leaping at him now. Despite the bloody path that had been burned along the tank line, the troops endured, with the cryoban weapons freezing the fires in several places, not that many noticed.

Encased in his armor, Adenn felt indestructible, and considering the weapon that he was being attacked with, he might as well be. Raising up his arms into an X before and above him, Adenn braced himself for Vaulkhar to hit him with his lightsabers. If it connected with his forearms or arms, the lightsaber would most likely be shortcircuited due to the cortosis weave located there. If it didn't connect there, then it'd still simply skid off Adenn's armor like it was nothing.

Regardless of the outcome of the attack, Adenn would be in motion before Vauklhar stopped. The arms of zordos on his sides flipped out with blasters in hand, opening fire on Vauklhar. One hand held a Mandalorian disintegrators while the other held a Mandalorian Ripper, and together they spat death towards Vaulkhar. At the same time, Adenn raised up his arms and let loose a burst of flames from his wrist flamethrowers(both arms. Laughing, Adenn called out to his opponent, even as the Titan Tank continued on as the two of them fought on top of it.
"You've come to your death Sith pawn! Retreat or die!"

OOC Summary
1st Part:
  • AT-AD and Beskad Warrior formations clash with Mailed Fist troops. Stop for a short time to turtle up.
  • Airborne Mandalorians sally forth and jump into the Mailed Fist formations, then the AT-AD and Beskad Warrior formations charge forth as well while attacking.
  • Titan tanks and Hellwalkers continue their advance, firing into targets of opportunity further into the city, while the troops themselves enter the city itself at last. The armor is close behind them, advancing where it can.

2nd Part:
  • Edges of the forward formation turn to face the flanking formations. Titan Tanks and Hellwalkers advance forward and open fire on the flanking formations as well.
  • Other Titan Tanks in the center with AA weapons open fire on the attacking aircraft bombers.
  • Hellwalkers keep shooting at enemy vehicles
  • Hell's Angel forward movement immobilized, but minimal damage is acquired in exchange. It continues to fire at enemy positions, particularly the Barrage.
  • Casualties mount on the sides, but still within acceptable ranges. Casualties on the Sith side no doubt rise as well, though exact numbers not confirmed.

3rd Part:
  • Adenn forms an X to block Vaulkhars attack. If lightsabers hit the arm, shortcircuit most likely due to cortosis.
  • Arms of Zordos open fire with Mandalorian Disruptor and Ripper
  • Flamethrowers used on Vaulkhar

DEEP SPACE - OUTER SYSTEM
BOARDING AN ISOLATED SHIELDCARRIER ( K Kaine Australis )

The Network's capital ship was far from helpless, even against boarding action. There were Mandalorians aboard.

Hence the ion grenades.

All around the perimeter of the huge hangar, electromagnetic shockwaves paralyzed armor, deactivated weapons, killed jetpacks midflight. The Whiphids' rifles and spears did the rest.

The edges of massed ion detonations sent cascading power failures through the Whiphids' armored space suits. The gear would reboot in a few minutes, but for the moment they were breathing stale air. Velok growled at his futzing HUD and tossed an incendiary grenade straight up. It detonated harmlessly, a signal to go for the next phase.

The Whiphids pushed through a handful of doors and out of the hangar. Velok ripped off his helmet, shook out sweaty hair, and clipped the helmet to his belt. He hefted his Blue Ice grenade launcher again and slotted in a brace of CryoBan rounds. Others followed suit.

Comfortably subzero air blasted back at them as they flash-froze their way through the halls.

Mythos never intended to activate Force Rage, it was supposed to be a last resort because of this. It was uncontrollable, The Gen'Dai had mastered the ability to such a point that it did not take the toll... because it never went away. Kezeroth lived all moments under force rage, that was his secret, he was always under its Force Induced Insanity. But when the wookie destroyed the last token Kida had given him Mythos could not control it, now without an opponent he found himself without an outlet and everyone was going to pay.

He roared, screamed and smashed looking like an animal who could not be controlled. He took the spear and smashed it against droids, walls and everything that had a pulse and everything that did not. His voice was once again a copy of the Gen'Dai known as Kezeroth the Beholder and the things that he said were things the Gen'Dai said or did in the past.

Someone called Ember... hate on 'Puny Sith' and just absolute hatred without rhyme or reason. Mythos' own men were the first ones to feel the pain. What once was their Lord and Commander now began to rip them apart with an Alchemized Spear in hand. The people of this slave tram traded one monster for another yet ironically both used the same weapon.

He smashed through a wall, killed three men with a single thrust of the master crafted spear and ended up near an elevator staring down Curtis Learchin Curtis Learchin dead in the eyes.

It must have been a sight. Mythos with his guts hanging from his open back, holding an alchemized spear, eyes shining in black and red glow, rotting flesh and burning skin hanging from his body, a visible aura around him of purple smoke and the ear shattering, ground rumbling roar of Kezeroth the Beholder coming out of a human body whose vocal chords could not possibly make that sound.

"PUNY SITH! DIE!"

And thus, Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun and her boyfriend got what they were looking for. They found Lord Mythos, yet in a state that was a danger to all, including themselves. A rare occasion and an accident of none of their makings. Possessed by a Gen'Dai's Legendary Rage.

The war droids were halted all of a sudden. The steady advance now in deadlock. Tahlah dismounted with the rest of the soldiers, and stayed behind with the Sundari guard. She would be a runt of the litter in comparison to the Alors that went on the offensive. The Sundari, and she, took cover where they could, and held the line against the Sith soldiers. There wasn't much for her to say due to her not being in command, and also the fact that all of them were in the heat of battle. She focused ahead, where the enemy was believed to be. She could not see them. With the Sundari Guard, she would return fire to enemy position when volleys of fire temporarily ceased. Their escape was impossible, with the jammers operating. The inability to retreat was what seemingly increased the stone resolve of all of them even further. The Sith goons could retreat back to their walls whenever they pleased, while the Sundari and Tahlah could not retreat whatsoever. Holding position was rough, but it was the only thing they could do. All Tahlah could think to herself when holding out against volleys of Sith fire was the heavily sarcastic thought, "Welcome to war little Tahlah Cadera."

Lori nodded, giving Curtis a small smile. It was great that the two were starting to work in tandem. Neither questioned the other. They just worked off of eachother. Their bond was growing and she was sure that that couldn't be a bad thing.

She turned to her ball of light, focusing on increasing it's size. As the lift stopped it was the size of a basketball. Yet instead of a bunch of troops standing there waiting for them, she came across Mythos. She didn't know who he was but it was very obvious that he was a Sith and was having a very bad day....

"NOW CURTIS!!" Lori shut her eyes tight as she made her ball of Force Light erupt in an explosive flash. Her late Father knew the trick as well and it was from him that she had inherited the ability. Once the blinding light was gone she pushed past the raging lunatic of a Sith and pressed forward down the corridor, hoping that Curtis was quick enough to follow. With those injuries she was certain that the Sith wouldn't last long.

To the common man, a free fall at that height would prove fatal. The incoming rounds shot by the Mandalorian would prove doubly so. Luckily, the galaxy was an unfair place for those lacking the gift of the force. It was an omnipresent blanket that covered the entirety of the galaxy. While some means have been found to contest the force, what came naturally to some created a large enough gap between the common and uncommon that feats too ludicrous to even consider became possible. It was showcased quite visibly as Vaulkhar slowed his descent with but a thought, allowing himself greater control the moment Adenn Kyramud began aiming. Vaulkhar's body began to spiral like a child's toy, narrowly shooting past the loosed blasts. What he could not avoid his lightsaber lashed out to bat away. One of the ripper rounds shattered on impact, the molten metal splashing into the descending monstrosity's chest. While his armor was designed to nullify as much damage as possible, he was not immune to the effects of his opponent. Pain tore at Vaulkhar's senses, making him aware of the burning sensation beneath his phrik breastplate and armorweave body glove.

It only spurred the bastard forward. Both pain and rage fueling his call on the force, twisting and corrupting the universal energy to his dark will. For the final time, he twisted his body his booted feet now leading the controlled descent. Flames licked up his armored legs and core, heightening his discomfort to levels he'd much rather leave to his foes. In a snap decision, both his arms rose and his hands clenched into fists. His repulsor gauntlets activated and parted the flames before him, the concussive wave of energy revealing the rapidly approaching monster mere inches from his foe. Each leg was extended with a slight bend at the knee, both of which were aimed to collide squarely with the Mandalorian's chest and ideally send him tumbling from the tank he stood aboard. Regardless, the fallen Jedi would impact with something. In a final display of his mastery, another concussive blast exploded outward from the point of impact, this time a showing of the force. Those unprepared nearby would be met with a powerful wave of energy threatening to topple them. The tank beneath the two combatants would creak under the strain of continued force crashing against it.

Elsewhere, the mighty Rhaegos raced across the city with several tracyn mirshko in pursuit. He maneuvered through the city at a remarkable speed, dodging through the Sundari ruins to avoid incoming plasmablasts. When one of the smaller reptilians neared it, a lash of his tail or brutal raking of his claws were launched in an attempt to ground his pursuers. Further beyond imperial lines, the majestic dragon broke free from the rubble that was once the planet's capital city and shot upward. His wings beat furiously, carrying him higher and higher above the chaos below. Imperial soldiers stationed further into the city looked up in awe as the shadowed beast ascended hundreds of feet. And suddenly it would stop. Using its wings to correct its course, the beast turned a full 180 degrees to face those which followed it, a blast of white-hot flame already racing down to incinerate those unlucky enough to avoid it.

Warning klaxons blared throughout the station.
They had been doing so ever since the first sign of enemy intrusion had been detected beyond the edge of the star system. Many plans had been drawn up detailing the defense of the Mandalore system and the destruction of invaders, each one taking into account different variables alongside the various foes the Empire contended with. An attack by the Mandalorians had a very specific set of protocols to be adhered to, and the well-oiled iron-clad war machine of the Sith Empire smoothly transitioned into each phase of the operation as certain parameters were cleared. The Mandalorians had been drawn into the belly of the beast, and now with their retreat cordoned off the next phase of the plan was put into action.
Up ahead of Australis and his guard, several warbands of Graug heavy gunners had been positioned along the tram corridor. An entire War Circle, around twenty-five thousand Graug warriors, had been deployed across the entire system at strategic intervals to act as heavy shock troops for the Empire's bold Legionnaires. The loadout of each war band differed depending on what terrain they had been sent to, but those that inhabited the bowels of Fortress Imperious had been granted weapons suitable for close-quarters chokepoint warfare. Each warrior was adorned with heavy plate armor, made out of betaplast overlaid by less sophisticated sheets of iron and bronze. Their armament consisted of gargantuan belt-fed repeater slugthrowers mounted atop deployable beskar shields. As part of the Empire's despoilment of the planet Mandalore, each of the Graug's ammunition consisted of a pure beskar penetrator encased within a copper jacket, with the penetrator pointed to retain its shape and carry the maximum possible amount of energy as deeply as possible into the target.
That target being the Mandalorians who had so intrinsically melded their own culture with the metal that was now being used against them.
As the warbands moved into position, marching in phalanxes thirty warriors strong, a smaller force of winged Vanr was sent ahead to harass the Mandalorians as they approached. Each Vanr was outfitted with specialized Storm armor and equipped with tri-barrel projectile launchers. They, perhaps more than any other in the Sith Empire, held the deepest and most contemptable hate for the Mandalorians, as their homeworld of Dromund Kaas had been rendered nearly inhospitable and their entire civilization almost wiped out at Mandalorian hands. The Sith Emperor had saved them from extinction and promised them that they would one day exact revenge against those that had nearly destroyed them. They relished at the chance to make good on their bid for vengeance, and on soaring wings, they approached under cover of darkness to levy volleys of explosive rounds down on the Mandalorian's heads.
The Sith Emperor had reached the end of the Graug column, taking up a position of superiority to survey the coming conflict.

Imperius readied himself for another battle. The Fortress’s sensors had had enough time to scan the other hostile party, and had been able to confirm that they were indeed two more Alor Guards. Furthermore, Imperius was able to see the real time position of the teo guards. Realising the tactical advantage that it offered, He waited in the corridor that ran parallel to the hallway that the Alor guards would have to take to get to the reactor. Even as he felt the bubble generated by the Ysalamiri wash over him, he took hold of his spear and using the input from the HUD, he judged the lead guard’s position. He knew what they looked like. And so he aimed at the place he knew their exposed heads would be, mustered his strength and let go.
The moment Solarion left his hands, Imperius grabbed the personnel grenades and shoved through the wall. The two had clearly not expected the spear to come through the wall and neither had they expected a Sith to ram through the wall and their surprise was evident.
Imperius’s target had been taller than expected, but all that meant was that the spear went through his exposed neck instead of his head. Imperius used the element of surprise to his advantage, throwing a pair of grenades at the already downed guard, just in case, and the other pair at the second, even taller guards face in an attempt to distract him long enough for Imperius to grab
Solarion.
Just as Imperius grabbed his spear, he realised the mistake he had made. He had fought so many conservative opponents that it had almost slipped his mind that these Alor guards were juggernauts too- and consequently probably had a fighting style quite similar to his own. Even as these thoughts arose in Imperius’s mind, he paid the price-a spiked forearm smashed into Imperius’s back, as the last standing Alor guard collided with him. Imperius was thrown against the wall, but not before he was able to utilise his quick reactions and the long reach of his spear to hook the guard’s blade inside the spear and thus disarming his opponent. The Alor guard was certainly not harmless, even without his primary weapon, but being disarmed did severely reduce his offensive capabilities.
Imperius turned. This had been a truly enjoyable battle against the two pairs of Alor Guards, but now it had to come to an end. Imperius threw his spear at the Alor Guard. His opponent, clearly more experienced than his other comrades, proceeded to bat away
Solarion.
Only for the charging Imperius’s fist, made invisible by the more eye-catching spear, to smash into his face with Truly concussive force. The guard fell and even as Imperius approached him and place his right foot on the guard’s face, his vanquished foe continued grunting. Out of hopelessnes? Pain? The cause behind it was irrelevant, and Imperius proceeded to bring down his foot with fatal force.
Only for a single beep to be heard from the ceiling, as the directional explosive charge that had been placed there by the last guard exploded, bringing down all of its explosive force onto Imperius akin to divine judgement.

_________________________________________________

The message from the sergeant came through loud and clear, the long-range antenna of Cara's suit receiving the signal with little interference,

“Command-Sergeant Lowe reporting. Seems like security has been lax. By our best estimate, we believe there's at least two-dozen people in the Ka'pruni tunnels that have not presented proper identification.”

The antenna also picked up reports from the droids-- The Mandolorians had arrived as expected. Cara breathed deep, the flames of her anger growing with slow intensity. Her voice, as usual, kept its professional unaffected tone as she replied, "Riffraff to be dealt with later. Be advised Command Sergeant, Mandalorians are in-bound to the facility. Their goal is to play hero. If they breach the entrance the fate of the workers is up to your discretion."

Miners who worked outside were corralled and lead inside the facility to be guarded by droids. Cara stood resolute with arms crossed as the miners filed past. Once the last stepped over the threshold of the mining center the doors sealed shut. Blasts echoed from locations near and far, rumbling closer to the Ka’pruni mine like a distant thunderstorm. Yet an eerie silence filled the mine yard. Tools laid where miners had left them, repulsor crates loaded with ores had been deactivated, and even the jagged winds had stilled. A stifled turret of Lancer fire drowned out a momentary scream, quiet then resuming as the Lancer prowled for metal-clad prey.

Cara saw him. A lone Mandalorian who had slipped past the sensors of dogged drones. The war droids near her powered to life, the hum of their cannons warming up interrupted the mood. She raised a hand and gave a silent order. The hums faded and the droids walked back three meters. Cara plodded toward the man, hands behind her back as she closed the distant with her slow gait.

"Were you born into their ways? Or were you dragged into the vulgar lifestyle? Either way it does not matter. You chose to stay with them, after all."

Her arms then hung at her sides, the Force cocooning around them. Peculiarly enough she sensed the Force in the man, this Mandalorian. Did he wield it rationally as a tool or with superstition? Perhaps he wasn't aware of it at all, like many, and called it a sixth sense. Whatever practice he held didn't matter, in the end. He was, at the core, a beskar-wearing, bucket-headed, blaster-toting Mando. And like all the others she had met through the decades he was marked to meet fate, in her mind at least.

She stood at an angle, digging a subtle heel into the barren dirt, "What do they call you?"

There was only a minuscule moment between the time Darth Avernus noticed Nox, and when he began to fire. Avernus pivoted towards Nox and began to swing his violet blade in long overhead arcs, swatting away the first several projectiles that came his way. A flash of searing hot pain ran through his side as one of the projectiles made it through his guard due to the rate of fire. As an almost involuntarily reaction to this sudden pain, he threw up a hand and projected a deflecting force in front of him to protect himself. The fiery plasmas deflected in several directions. Some of them fleeing into the air, while others impacted against the crusty Mandalorian dirt beneath them creating even more clouds of dust. He winced at the pain, and his concentration began to waver. He called upon the dark side and lunged himself a great distance, taking cover around the corner of a nearby building.

He looked down to his hip where the ordinance had struck a gap in his armor. Small nano-puddles of blood seeped from the few pores of flesh that failed to cauterize, but it was far from a mortal wound. In truth, he had suffered much worse on many occasions but that didn't detract from the pain. He quickly began to formulate a plan of attack when he was interrupted by a peculiar smell reaching his nostrils. His anger began to build as he subconsciously recognized the smell. It wasn't the smell of his own flesh burning, but it was the smell of something burning. He looked down, head darting around frantically for a moment before his subconscious pushed the identity smell to the front of his mind. Burning Synthsilk. He reached down and grasped the edge of his cloak and held it up to inspect.

As he gazed upon the blackened and frayed edge of the cloak he stamped his foot and released a loud, high-pitched scoff from his vocal folds. He threw the cloak back over his shoulder in a theatrical rage and gritted his teeth together. His anger overtook his pain, replacing it in his mind and cutting him off from the constant inferno of sensation that took over his right side. His upper lip curled with anger and disgust as he readied himself.

"That was luxury Nemodian synthsilk you Mandalorian TRASH!"

His voice only cracked slightly as he shouted. He quickly peeked around the corner with the conclusion of the retort, throwing his hand forward as his anger condensed into white-hot hatred and arced from his fingertips with wicked and rigid movements. The lightning enveloped his arm up to his elbow as he directed it towards the Mandalorian gunner in a constant stream of murderous intent. He screamed with hate, tongue out slightly with lips curled to bare his teeth in a hateful grimace of rage and disgust.

Those few brief moments in which Vaulkhar managed to transmit a feed of the Mandalorian offensive to the General demanded his attention for the scant few moments he could view it.

"Ah kark it all..." Tavlar muttered to himself, unslinging his disruptor rifle from his shoulder he raised his right arm up in the air with a closed fist, pumping it down to signal to his command squad to form up on him. His comms officer swinging the ruck holding his position's equipment over his shoulders before equipping a rifle all the same and following in tow with the veteran section which approached with Tavlar.

Well close enough to the main gate, as much as Tavlar might regret it he decided to delve head first into the raging battle. Even if most Sith officers of his ilk cared to command from a distance ; being an absentee leader would do little to endear himself to the fighting men and women who heard blaster and flechette rounds shriek past their ears in each engagement.

Even as flak ate the skies from the Hell's Angel afront of the advancing starfighter squadrons the crowded formation of Dominance class fighters sought to eat many of the projectiles, sending almost an entire squadron's worth plummeting in a blaze of charring inferno into the flat and featureless earth of Mandalore beneath. One of them even dared to veer his fighter toward the 'head' of the hulking walker in an attempt to disable it in a suicidal run of his fighter.

However half at least of the bomber squadron survived only before able to drop the full extent of its payload over top of the gargantuan target. Given the Hell's Angel's ovewhelmingly unwieldy profile set in the stark emptiness of Mandalore ; the target couldn't be easier. A sliver short of an entirety of the remaining bombers struck true in landing their payload of concussion missiles and bombs rated for 'bunker busting' and in this case, armor piercing.

After the run ; Tavlar's comm officer tuned his frequency to the Starfighter command to hear an affirmation of hits on target and without much deliberation the bombers were ordered an evac of resupply and repair as another was dispatched. Though the bombers were a scant sight in the air the fighter squadrons began to establish air superiority over the surrounding perimeter of Sundari - avoiding the anti aircraft ordinance of the Hell's Angel when it could whilst prioritising plummeting transport ships and landing pods who sought to delivery fresh infantry to the fight. The superior speed and capable armament more often than not winning the day. It wasn't long before a second squadron was dispatched to delivery another payload atop the walker.

With Vaulkhar's meteoric entrance into the battle at the main advancing formation it was difficult to utilize the air support there ; issuing only strafing runs on softer targets from the fighters above as the Mailed Fist formation sought to envelop the enemy ; a maneuever which would prove feasible given the lack of dramatic adaption to their stance. The heavier carnivores at the head of the layered wedged pincers (each containing Carnivore, Claymore [All purpose and missile/ AT variants] and Cataphracht tanks in that descending order. ) took the brunt of the enemy ordinance, knocking out several of them only after closing the gap enough where the burnt out remains of the vehicle would prove a means of trapping in the assaulting mandalorians enough. Regardless ; the Carnivores and Claymores were the brunt of the hammer to be smashed against the anvil - overall the formation able to secure a full encirclement with Cataphracts planting their landing gear down to form a backline.

From this they could forward all power to the capital ship grade turbolaser housed in its turret and the shielding enveloping its hull to create a truly devastating siege tank. From here rapid and powerful volleys from the Cataphract tanks would slam supercharged turbo laser rounds into the Hellwalkers as the turret mounted 'tanksmasher' missiles sent out wild and punishing payloads of conventional missiles toward the more mobile Titan tanks.

The front gate pried open to release another wave of supporting infantry into the fight, accompanied by their General who walked upright ; cool in the chaos even as a heavy round thudded against the immensely thick frontal armor of the HavT Barrage in its crawling advance toward the enemy formation. It was near this crawling fortress that his troopers took up cover and resupplied their special weapons, favoring thermal detonators over anything else as they could land behind the unwieldly boarding shields and explode behind the line frontal line.

It wouldn't be a moment longer before the two opposing offensives met and the Barrage could unleash the hellish fury of its lava cannons down unto the front facing wall of the advancing Mandalorians.

  • Bombing run lands his hits on the Hell's Angel ; effectiveness hampered by losses taken on the approach but overall successful due to the target's extremely large stature.
  • The Mailed Fist formation takes losses in the form of its heaviest tanks but is able to complete a full encirclement of the bulk of the Mandalorian advancement ; setting Cataphrachts into siege mode to lay down punishing firepower.
  • The HavT Barrage continues to trade blows with the Hell's Angel ; its deflector shield visibly ripples with each shot taken but with the enclosing forces it is finally able to unleash its lava unto the forward shield wall.
  • Tavlar's infantry quickly favor grenadiers in tangoing with the Beskad warriors, heaving thermal detonators over the shields best they can to trigger explosions in weaker areas.
  • Another bombing run is called in on the Hell's Angel (due to arrive next post).
  • Tavlar arrives at the front-lines.

As the Sith-Imperial News Network correspondent on Condoria provided a graphic - and frankly one-sided - description of the violence that was engulfing the moon, Aerarii received updates from the battles raging in the streets of Mandalore via his earpiece.

"Sir, we're got reports of dozens loyal Mandos taking to the streets to claim the bounty on the invaders." While Governor Ka had promised anyone who aided the Sith full citizenship, Aerarii was more inclined to believed that like everyone in the galaxy, the locals had their price. The Emperor's 'Decree for the Resettlement of the Mandalorian People' had been extremely effective on decimating the local Mando tribes, leaving only the few who had sworn allegiance to him. This was their opportunity to prove their worth and will favour in the eyes of their Sith rulers.

"Contact Major General Irveric Tavlar Irveric Tavlar and inform him that the local militia have decided to come out and play. I'm sure the good General can find a way to make their contribution well felt." Based on what the Treasurer-General had witnessed on Kintan, it would probably involve marching the loyal Mandos in as canon folder.

The bureaucrat looked passed the holocams to the studio control room, where a group of SINN technicians and Sith Armada communications specialists were frantically working at their consoles. Blanketing the civilian airwaves with the broadcast had been straightforward - one of SINN's first jobs following the occupation of Mandalore had been to tap into the planet's existing commlink and Holonet infrastructure. The greater challenge today was getting their message onto the military comms network of the invaders. There was a possibility, however slim, that Mando hardliners would think twice about their invasion if the propaganda messaging was good enough.

Aerarii's earpiece informed him that they would be live again shortly. Without prompting, Teyn Gratiir launched into one of his famous rallying speaches. "My people, look out your windows. The streets where you raised your families and gathered with friends are ablaze with the hated of the invaders. The prosperity and stability we have worked to hard to build is at risk of being undone. I call on your all to resist the marauders who fall from the sky, to send them back to the stars and show them the legendary might of our people!"

Again, the silver-tongued speaker had avoiding mentioning that the Mandos were not freed, and that their Sith rulers had once been the invaders themselves. Gratiir was issuing an expert call to arms while avoiding inflaming old hostilities. Aerarii was surprised that The Network hadn't made a move to block the transmission or send a strike team to silence Gratiir.

Not that he was complaining. He much preferred if open hostiles stayed away from him.

"We now cross live to Sundari, where armed insurgents are locked in a pitched battle with brave Sith Legion defenders..."

Standing close to K Kaine Australis was the petite form of Alwine Lechner, Head of Speakers of the Agents of Chaos. What she was doing in that exact spot, was beyond her. She could not recall singing up for anything combat aligned, wasn't sure how she'd ended up with his troop anyway, and quite in fact was uncertain why she'd been deployed to this dreadful planet to begin with. The plea of the Mandalorians had never been one her heart had pity for, though unlike some of her peers, she held them in no contempt or hatred. But still, this was one situation where she would've preferred not to be at all, even if it all had gone according to plan.

But it had not gone according to plan.

Alwine was more than aware of the numbers they were losing, aware of the fact that many of those who were still standing were unlikely to still be so in the coming hours. To her grasp of the situation, the Network had been fools to even attempt this right now. They were not strong enough. And because of the promises of Discordia, there had been nothing any of them could do but tag along for the ride, or risk destroying their own reputation. Because the Agents of Chaos had promised the Mandalorians to help them liberate Mandalore, in return for quite a bit of things, but had promised it all the same. But now the Network had pulled a Leroy Jenkins, and Alwine couldn't afford to sit it out.

The question was though, what the heck could she do at all?

They were in a tram tunnel beneath the fortress, according to the map. It was dark. There was no growth or anything, no opportunity for Alwine to use the one thing she was amazingly great at with the Force. Perhaps, things would be better if they managed to make it into the fortress itself. But with how things are going…

Perhaps, it was not too late. Perhaps, they could gather their losses, and make an escape for it. Yet every time Alwine opened her mouth to suggest as such to the leader of the Mandalorians, she found her throat going dry and her voice silent.

All she could do now was to pray to the very gods she did not believe in, that she would survive to see daylight.

Lirka had stayed unusually idle during the whole attack, just lounging away in the Command Center while her eyes scanned over the happenings of her planet, holograms flickering and flashing between scenes. It was a fine battle, and blood flowed readily on the surface of Concordia. There had been some minor breaches, attempts to use the trams against them. A foolish venture though she could admire the attempt, even if it was ultimately self destructive. She flicked her Holo back to the trams, letting it adapted for the crushing darkness within.

And it left her doing a once over.

The form of Alwine Daye Alwine Daye was one that was immediately recognizable, not just counting for the fact that she had tried smashing her into bits and pieces around three or four separate times. Her eyes widen, she could take a reasonable guess on Australis presence, but it mattered not. Only did that little wolf, one of the Sith could deal with the Barbarians feeble leader.

Some things became so ingrained in her mind that even being pulled from Hell itself couldn’t totally remove them Lirka half scrabbled to her comm: her heart half pounding in her chest. She knew what was coming, at least, she had a guess. She thumbed in the old comm codes she had learned long ago, when her and Lechner had served with the Confederates. Hoping it was still the same, she spoke. Her voice betraying none of the emotions brewing within, even through the distortion of her helmet the voice and accent remaining unmistakable.

”We have much to discuss.”

Lirka rose from her seat now, beckoning for her blade. Things were getting interesting now.

If Karina had eyes, she'd have probably stopped and blinked in surprise. As it was, when the reply came back from Dorniarn that intruders were indeed on their way, she merely paused midstep and inclined her head, before continuing forward, her squad of ten falling in behind her. Karina's hand went to the lump of metal that a few years ago had been her right ear and she keyed her radio.

<: "Understood. We're moving back to the facility entrance." :>

They moved slowly, keeping pace with the groups of miners trudging along as they were corraled towards the facility headquarters, where the heavy blast doors would hold off an assault while the miners moved lower into the safety of the tunnels, where the guard droids would offer them protection.

Droplets struck her faceplate and ran down onto her cheeks. Soon the rains would come in earnest and reduce the yard through which they walked into toxic sludge. Karina hoped she'd be out of the elements by that time. Though with the incoming Mandalorian attack, she figured she'd eventually have to set out into the mud and mire.

About halfway to the HQ, the sounds of the battle for Moridinae reached them. Distant explosions struck the earth with a rumble, and closer bursts of blaster fire set the soldiers on edge. Still, the mine yard was silent, and the ragged crew of miners moved towards safety in an orderly if painfully slow fashion.

Finally, their group reached the headquarters, and Karina wiped the mud from her boots and looked on as the miners filed in one-by-one, followed by a few guards and finally Karina's own squad.

Puddles were forming outside, the dusty ground giving way to thick, sticky mud. With the short blaring of a klaxon, the massive blast doors protecting the facility slid closed, cutting off the scene outside, the distant explosions, and the rain.

Once the doors had closed, they left the miners in the care of the droids. They would be brought down to the tunnels, where they would shelter until the Mandalorian attacks passed. For Karina and her squad, they would have to stay above for the moment and ensure the security of the site.

Her squad. Ten soldiers for whom she'd come to care greatly, and whose lives depended on her leadership. They were something of an amalgam, made up of the shattered remains of Legion squads and platoons all but wiped out on Kintan. They had come together there, in the ruined streets of New Kalandra, and they had hardly been apart since.

With the miners accounted for, they moved through the dimmed corridors of the facility. First, they'd have to meet up with Dorniarn. She was heading the defence, and most of the facility's Legionnaires fell under her purview. A single shot pierced the quiet, not far away, and a chorus of blaster fire erupted in response. Karina stiffened and readied her weapon, the squad stalking towards the location where she knew her fellow Command Sergeant was holed up.

Curtis just caught a glimpse of their new opponent before he shielded his eyes from the blinding light of the device. He could sense the raw power emanating from the Sith Lord, and as the light dissipated he launched his swordstaff towards the creature like a javelin.

"I'll cover you!" Curtis yelled back to Lori as the pushed past the briefly blinded, and hopefully impaled, Sith. Rounding the corner, he yanked the lightsaber from his belt and activated it, the crimson blade cutting through the air as he followed closely behind his companion. If they survived this, he'd buy her a drink.

"Do what you need to, I'll keep that thing occupied" He commanded, his voice conveying that he was not going to be argued with about it. Tapping into the dark side, the gauntlet on his right arm sparked and cracked with electricity, itching to let loose a full blast.

Mig continued to slowly walk up, the blueish glow of the lightsaber trayc'kad casting a shadow of him to the ground. The droids seemed ready to fight, but their organic commander halted them. She walked up showly, and Mig could feel the Force that seemed to surround her arms. Interesting. He could also tell she was ready to fight. Didn't need to Force for that. Her body language said it all. She asked if he was born a Mandalorian, though then went to say that it didn't matter. He was still one. Mig huffed, stopping where he stood.

"You say you don't care, and blood has little sway on a Mando'ad, but yes. I was born on Concord Dawn." The man was then surprised when he heard her ask for who he was, digging her heels in. Mig pulled up his weapon into a guarded position, ready for whatever attack was about to come to him. He still hadn't heard from Mynock, which was good. At least someone was being stealthy. Mig finally looked to the Sith, answering her question.

"My name is Mig Gred, Alor and mando'ad'jetii of Clan Gred." He knew how this would probably go. Want to know the name of the one you're about to kill. And you, dar'jetii?" There was a certain venom in Mig's words. The venom of someone who was speaking to a person who took something important from them. A part of them. The Sith had taken both Mandalore and Concord Dawn. Ilik died keeping Mig safe on his homeworld. Mig's young daughter needed medicine to make it though the night without nightmares of that day. His own wife feared for their safety because of her status as a former Sith slave. If anything, the way Mig spoke was holding back, because whether or not this Sith knew it, the ones she served under took so much from him, his family, and his people.

Elsewhere, as Mandalorians fought groups of droids from cover, one of the pairs had been quite effective at not being seen. Mynock, a model of MagnaGuard, but you couldn't tell from a distance. Beskar plates were bolted to his frame, and a t-visor helmet placed over his mechanical head. The only hint that he was a droid was the lack of a body glove, which exposed the mechanical workings. He was armed with a Trayc'kad and a PS-1 particle shotgun.

"Merdi, find a ore shuttle. We could use it later. I'll take the charges." The armored being nodded, passing the explosives before the droid jumped down, taking aim at a Legionnaire before firing the particle weapon in compressed mode, the weapon releasing a distinct thud, and slipping back into cover. Of course a small team would come somewhere like this. This was interesting at least.

That was the advantage of heavy weapons like this, even when a sith had the ability to deflect blasterfire, there was only so much when it was nonstop and rapid. Unfortunately, he still had the force, and managed to deflect the fire before ducking behind cover. Nox growled to himself rolling his shoulders, heavy as the weapon was it had a certain amount of shaking that came with using it. However as the sith came out, instead of attempting to rush Nox like he was hoping, the mandalorian found himself brought to his knees as the lightning coursed through his body, letting out growl of pain as a memory returned to him of being encased in the dragons fire. The unstoppable burning sensation that he'd designed the armor to stop, and yet here he was, feeling it again, only this time his body seeming to try and move and contort against his will as he struggled to keep them in check.

His grip on the repeater was barely still in one piece as he was nearly sprawled on the ground, he couldn't let this sith beat him, he was still holding onto it, though barely, more out of instinct than intent. Somehow managing to turn his body to face the sith, and then activating his jetpack sending him rushing towards him. Relying on the considerable resistances and few gaps of the armor to let him the strikes of the blade that might be sent his way in his rush.

In this haste his grip on the trigger also was clenched due to the vambraces reactions, whether this was good or not would be found out soon, as there was rather little aiming done due to the weapons inaccuracy under the conditions he was in. It was more likely to hit the sith as he passed by than on the way, if at all, mostly shooting into the ground rather than a particular direction.

The turtle formations continued their march forward, entering the city and laying down a deadly barrage of fire at anything that wasn't friendly. They fired continuously at the Mailed Fist troops, while continuing their advance. There wasn't much to it other than that. Squads were sent into individual buildings to clear them, while the formations marched on. If any Mandalorians were found, they were given the chance to join the attackers, to help free Mandalore. Most accepted the option, though some chose to instead stay and hide like cowards. The advancing troops meanwhile continued to give and take losses, but they were more than willing to die for Mandalore.

All in all, the Mandalorians knew that the enemy was truly flanking them. But that was fine with them, despite their losses. It was now that the Sith vehicles were practically stationary that the Titan Tanks maneuvered more. They moved parallel to the flanking Sith vehicles, hamering fire into their fronts and sides, even as center troops began to move to engage. They fired a myriad of anti vehicle weapons towards the Sith vehicles, while jetpack troops launched themselves forward. Speeders then shot out of the Hellwalkers and the various formations, bringing troops towards their enemies. Numerous speeders blew up, but those that made it were quick to deploy on the flanks of the Sith troops, deploying Mandalorisn on the flanks. These Mandos opened up with some of the heaviest weapons that they had on hand, even as the Hellwalkers marched forward into Sundari while firing at the other vehicles. Several blew up, others were forced to stop, but the main concentration continued on.

As for the Titan Tanks, they had changed their direction and speed very quickly and suddenly. As such, they managed to avoid the first volley of fire from the Sith vehicles, for the most part. Several were hit of course, but more still continued on. They also flanked the Sith vehicles to the best of their abilities. While several were destroyed, it wasn't enough to deter them.

yTqNtKw.png

Hell's Angel had strode on as the fighters attacked it, ignoring the fire. It fired upon its enemies, the fire taking down numerous enemy fighters, but didn't prevent the bombers from delivering their payloads. Despite their best efforts, Hell's Angel was only disabled from advancing, and was still a dangerous threat to all its enemies. As for the suicidal fighter, that had contributed to dropping the shield lower, but wasn't enough to disable the mighty titan.

For its part, Hell's Angel remained where it was, turning its devastator canon to the flanking Sith vehicles on the left. There it opened fire on them, aiming to cut a swath through their lines. At the same time, the assault laser canon shot another blast at the barrage, aiming at its tread, hoping to stop its forward movement. Other Hellwalkers shot at the same targets, adding their firepower into the mix, while Titan Tanks shot their missiles were they thought it'd do the most damage. All in all, the center portion continued on, sans Hell's Angel, who had a guard force remaining around it, along with the rest of the forces.

While Hell's Angel stood there, its back opened up, revealing a small hanger. From within said hanger two fighters shot out. Their pilots were experts, their ships were top of the line, and their mission was simple, defend Hell's Angel. To do so they flew out to engage incoming bombers, while firing at targets of opportunity.

yTqNtKw.png

Adenn had fired upon Vaulkhar as soon as possible, but it seems that his opponent could use the Force. That prevented Adenn from disabling his lightsaber with the cortosis weave immediately, as the man dodged out of the way, while avoiding numerous of Adenn's shots. Then he pushed his flames away, to which Adenn turned off the flamethrowers with a thought, the arms of zordos firing continuously firing away. Before Adenn could do anything else, Vaulkhar was about to knock into him. With his arms where they were, he couldn't truly block the attack, not that he needed to.

As the legs connected, Adenn shot his arms forward to try and grab at Vaulkhars legs. If they caught the legs then a pulse of electricity would be shot into Vaulkhar's legs through the shock gauntlets present in Adenn's gauntlets. Regardless of if he grabbed the legs or not, Adenn would be hit by the legs, causing him to stagger back, losing his balance. That loss of balance allowed the Force blast to push him back even further, a further several steps back, nearing the back of the tank. Then the magnetic soles in Adenn's boots activated, preventing him from falling back further. And then he was moving forward once more.

With the arms of zordos shooting their individual weapons(disintegrator and ripper), Adenn raised up one arm to blast forth more flames, while the other moved to his back. There it drew out the Lamina Infernos, Adenn's personal sword. Immediately both of them would hear the voices of the sword, different things for both, but curses, promises, and taunts either way. Adenn was used to this and ignored it for the most part, though he idly wondered how Vaulkhar would react, even as he swung it in a cleaving blow, aiming for the shoulder to hip. As he swung the sword, Adenn's flamethrower arm would stop spewing fire and the hand would grip the sword as well, adding its force to the swing.

OOC Summary
Part 1:
- Attack continues, Mandos added into the fold. Losses on both sides continue to rise

Part 2:
  • Attack continues: Hell's Angel and Hellwalkers fire at the Barrage and flanking vehicles.
  • Titan Tanks fire at all enemy vehicles with missile barrages. AA tanks continue to strafe enemy fighter positions
  • The 2 fighters in Hell's Angel are deployed, they move out to attack whatever comes close.
