The road to Abregado Rae

Subject: Embassy tour: First Stop Abregado-Rae

Tact is the knack of making a point without making an enemy - Isaac Newton
The list had been created of where Alderaan would like to bring their presence. A presence that would help to speak to words of peace, beauty, art and the Alderaanian way of life. Now that she was married, the children had been born, and life was settling down the Galaxy once more beckoned and the family once more pointed Faith in a direction.

The wish list set by Queen Arianna she wanted to have embassies on
Naboo, a visit with King Marcello Matteo
Coruscant now that it was out of the hands of the Sith
Nubia - why her mother wanted this she wasn't sure
Mandalore - obvious reasons
Bespin - Cloud City reach out for [member="Natasi Fortan"] through Claire.

Ana in all her good sense and years now as Faith's assistant reached out to other governments and monarchies to see who would be interested in dedicating a portion of land to Alderaan to build an embassy and open trade with them.

Ana handed the list to Faith, she looked it over quickly, "interesting, looks like we will be making friends." Faith saw that Commenor was not on the list. She sighed heavily, "Has she said anything about Commenor?"

"No, and now is probably not a good time to ask again, perhaps on a day where she is enjoying the new grandchildren would be a better day."

Faith laughed, "Yes you're probably right. Ok...well let's make a calendar and I don't recognize some of these names, so at the very least let's pay them an official visit"

First on the list [member="HK-36"] of Abregado-Rae . "I know this planet name, it's where Tia Rekha worked in the diner after Coruscant fell. I should like very much to meet HK-36, Ana what does HK stand for?"
Ana shrugged, "I could ask."

"No" Faith looked again, "Let's keep it simple for now. Something for me to learn, make the travel arrangements please"

Faith kept the list it was going to be a long haul she would take the ship from Draco, and her honor guard, the nanny and the children. After her visit with HK-36, she would go to Shawken to see [member="Darth Erebos"] (we assume there is another name) then to Coruscant to meet the GA representative then onto Kesh and [member="Solan Charr"] then saving [member="Flannigan Mcnash"] and [member="Darth Carnifex"] for the end of the trip where Draco could join her.

A week later Faith arrived on Abregado-Rae looking fit and dressed in the attire that Princess of Alderaan should wear, and her order of office as Ambassador.

I will make separate threads for each visit but I wanted to get started since there is a great list of people willing to offer an opportunity for Alderaan to build within their system

Abregado has became a flourishing system in the last Galactic Ages,

With a strategic location on one of the Hyperlane Trade Routes and proximity to Inner Core planets, like Coruscant, Abregado has always enjoyed a healthy dose of inter-planetary traffic, usually in the form of traders and smugglers. While busy and percentile, Abregado-Rae was seen as the armpit of Inner Core, never really becoming as industrious or populated as other planets, Coruscant for example, preserving much of their native flaura and fauna, balancing industry and nature. Most of the Abregado cities rest on the banks of rivers or coasts of lakes and sea, while the majority of their in-land is either dotted with small towns and villages or untouched wilderness, as such amhibious skiffs, known as Gados Floatboats, are the preferred method of transportation, either gliding along the plains and over the cliffs, or lazily swimming through numerous canals much like primitive gondolas.

The native Gados themselves are a very friendly and welcoming bunch, perhaps to the point, it is very rare for Gados to not welcome someone to their planet, which is why during the more tumultuous times of the Galaxy Abregado often found itself with a large and problematic population of smugglers and pirates who took residence on the planet among the Gados who often turned a blind eye on their crimes. The Gados are known for three things, their acrobatic skills, how amputation is pretty much always fatal to them due to their unique organs, and they are very good at adapting into other culture's technology and traditions. It's a double-edged sword, while this made Gados excellent at performing reverse-technology, it also made them very susceptible to socialization. By the time of Galactic Civil War the Gados have all but forgotten about their native culture, instead becoming an amalgam of other Galactic cultures and the Galactic Standard.

But perhaps this welcoming and penchant for adapting foreign technology into their own is what made them and HK work so well together. When the droid arrived on the planet, Abregado already had a strong Protectorate presence, being one of the initial words Omega Pyre took control of. The machine was in charge of a mercenary company stationed there, later on known as the Iron Company, and quickly took to enforcing laws set in place by the Protectorate. HK cracked down on crime, tracking down the remnants of smugglers and pirates still hiding among the Gados, which culmulated in him capturing the notorious dreadpirate lord RC 212, a feat for which he was rewarded a position of governence over the planet. And so he was named by the Lady Protector as the First Baron of Abregado-Rae, first droid in modern age to control a planet within a major territory. The droid quickly put out patrols and military personnel on Abregado's streets, making it clear this was going to be a dictatorship. However, what started out as a tense relationship quickly relaxed, the Gados did not planned to stage revolts or coups against the machine as many other planets would have, turning a blind eye towards the droid's eccentricities like they have done so to many other foreigners before. In turn the droid ruled with kindness, using his resources to build up the Guild of Hammers, a company of Gados manufacturers based on the planet, expanding the industry and bringing more commerce to Abregado, even giving the Gados his knowledge and samples of advanced foreign technology like Verpine Shatterguns or Echani Graphite to be reverse-engineered by them, which resulted in what later became the products Abregado was best known for, strong Graphite and powerful rail guns. The droid adopted Abregado as his home and Gados as his people, celebrating their past by conducting archeology projects to re-discover their history and continue their lost traditions, gesture which greatly pleased even the most conservative Gados.

Today the planet is made up mostly of the native Gados, with a large free droid population being a strong minority, attracted just by HK's presence as the head of state, followed by a hefty population of humans, and then amalgam of other species like Herglic, Wookiee, Gran, Devaronian, Ishi Tib, or Nautolan. Their old cities are now dotted with Protectorate barracks and defenses, as well as the numerous manufacturing plants and Graphite fletching facilities built by the Guild of Hammers.

Faith would arrive in the only spaceport the planet had, within the Capital City, HK kept it like that to have a better control of who came and left the planet, always on the lookout for potential revenge of the pirates and smugglers he chased off of Abregado, or some new threat. She would be greeted by a welcoming convoy of the droid clad in Galactic Alliance armor, long black cloak cascading off of his back, he was flanked by four more droids, just as armored, but with grey cloaks, two on his left, two on his right, and behind them stood two heavy Mag'ladroth walkers. If Faith knew anything about droids, she would recognize the droids, colored grey to match their cloaks, looked more like an actual HK model should, while the droid that greeted her, made from some kind of pale silver metal, looked closer to a Kaleeshi warrior, or General Grievous if she was familiar with the historical figure. All five of them had those bright, crimson electronic eyes,

"Faith Organa."

HK greeted her once she walked off of her ship,

"Welcome to Abregado-Rae, I am the Iron Lord Protector."

The two 5 meter tall walkers would stare her down, HK would not let her forget easily that this planet was still under dictatorship.

There are something in life that take you quite by surprise and meeting the Iron Lord Protector of Abregado-Rae was one that Faith would remember for some time. She smiled at the Iron Lord Protector now what did one do at this point, extend a hand? She couldn't offer him the basket now could she? So many different protocols to think of.

Faith absent mindedly tugged on the coat of her dress Faith stared up, "Iron Lord Protector thank you so much for letting me come. I've actually heard some things about you." Yes she had, but Tia Rekha had never said anything about him not being..well..um..that he was mechanical.

"We have someone in common that we both know sir." She decided that it did not matter he had helped her Tia when she needed it most and when she would not come to them for help. Stubborn woman she was but that was an argument to have with her not with her benefactor.

"Do you remember Rekha Kaarde sir?" If they could start speaking over something in common, something easy to speak of they could move to the other subjects. But she had to admit she now had a great curiosity about him and how he came to to the Lord Protector. my goodness. Wasn't the Galaxy so fascinating, she couldn't wait to tell her family about this, would they believe it?

"You show more courage than most when faced with my war machines."

The droid commended Faith with the two large walkers still casting shadow on them from behind HK,

"But it is a pleasure to have you here, we do not get many diplomatic visitors on Abregado, most try to stay clear from a militaristic planet ran by a droid dictator. I do not tend to understand what pity or morals are, you see."

He motioned her closer as he turned halfway towards a skiff Gados Floatboat parked between the two walkers,

"Come, my child, come."

The droid invited her aboard, as he walked towards the craft he would answer her question with,

"I met, trained, and killed many people in my lifetime. Faith Organa."

Before adding,

"But I remember Rekha. I set up her working condition with one of old friends on Abregado. And a bar on Bespin if I remember right, my memory has only so much capacity."

"Thank you I'm no shrinking violet I've been on planets that were under siege." She saw the shadows fall over her blocking any light that would have fallen upon her, it was only slightly un-nerving. She had to remember this was diplomacy not war and she was a guest, her host would not allow harm to come to her for certain.

She smiled at him hoping he recognized it as a smile and not a grimace of discontent. "I have to admit I thought about it many times if I should come, as you say it is a militaristic planet, and the dictator is quite unique." Yes she had never met anyone like him, or been on a world that was like this. But here she was. yes.

She went with him, "I usually give a gift basket of food, but I'm not sure that would work for you." They moved towards the skiff, "You remember her, I am pleased. She does tend to make an impression, though I admit I have not seen her in some time, we only know that yes she is working, she is content where she is. thank you, for working with her. She wouldn't come to us."

Pride it was one thing Rekha had in spades was her pride.

"So, I'm here to learn about Abregado-Rae and for you to learn of Alderaan, so that we may together decide if an embassy would be beneficial to us both." War was not always the way of Alderaan but it was the way of the galaxy and they needed to learn to maneuver through it.

"It is hard to forget someone when you have photographic memory."

The machine pointed out as he boarded the float-boat, sitting down in one of the seats, facing Faith, expecting for her to follow and join him on the small vessel. They would be joined by the other four droids, HK units as well if Faith could distinguish such things, the float-boat would take off then, levitating above the ground to leave the spaceport landing pad, and the two large walkers behind, moving onto a canal to float down the waterway lazily,

"I know very well about Alderaan, Faith Organa, I have seen it before in its original state, before its destruction, many years it was naught but a graveyard until your ancestors rebuilt it once more."

As their boat would move down the canal, passing under bridges and walk-ways, Faith would be able to witness the market life of Abregado's capital city. Vendors tending to their stalls, people walking and clamoring around in a hurry, a bustling scene, every now and then she would see an armored patrol pass by, followed in suit by a spider-like droid with a nasty looking gun below its round body. The civilians were a weird amalgam of the tall furry Gados, easily seen sticking out of the crowd with their hairy bodies, large beady eyes, and buckteeth, free droids who would walk about wearing robes, some of them were even tending the stalls, for example there was a large war droid selling fruit from a stand, as well as other beings like the usual vanilla humans, Wookiees, Herglics, et cetera.

"Have you heard stories of what your planet was in those days?"

Faith couldn't hide her look of surprise when [member="HK-36"] said he had seen it in its original state, "You saw it before the destruction?" It was a surprise and delightful surprise she couldn't help but smile. Her excitement was ready to bubble over.

But even in her excitement she could not help but see her surroundings, a lively market that offered foods, supplies and cloth. She was glad to see that it would mean if they set an Embassy up there would be no concern about off world supplies, if Alderaan could not bring them, the staff would have an alternative route.

The patrol that was something she stared at longer than she should, they did not patrol in this manner in New Aldera she wondered if they should, wondered if they were only creating another opening. The Welcome Center was intended to know who was coming and going, but what if they found a way around it, through private stations.

She didn't want to think about that, she instead focused on what Iron Lord Protector had said.

"Oh I would love to hear of it" She was nearly breathless with anticipation. Someone who could tell her of Alderaan of home before the Empire.

HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
[member="Faith Organa"],

"You saw it before the destruction?"

HK nodded to her,

"Oh yes, I was forged by the Hutts in the days of Ancient Republic, shortly before the initial Mandalorian Crusades, the ones that resulted in mass murder of the Cathars. I saw many planets change over the years. Believe it or not, when I first saw Coruscant it was a mere small fishing village."

That last part was a lie, but the droid was pretty Force-damned ancient,

"But even back then House Organa ruled over it with their kindness in compassion. My travels never brought me there often, mostly only for Phrik, and rarely did I crossed paths with your Organa ancestors. Leia would have probably try to blow my head off after two sentences. But they kept their planet beautiful and their people happy."

HK looked away from the float boat at his own subjects' bustling life,

"Alderaan was one of the planets that formed the Republic. A shining gem, with ancient mountains, beautiful grasslands, jungles, oceans, inland seas, even the Castle Lands."

The droid looked to Faith,

"Castle Lands were the remnants of Alderaan's first inhabitants, giant mounds of petrified sand and sap. Alderaan was once ruled by insectoid hive mind you see, your ancestors conquered it and held it ever since. Nerfs come from Alderaan as well, if you did not knew."

HK would look at Abregado capital city once more,

"I remember the last rulers of Alderaan before destruction, Viceroy Bail Organa and his wife Queen Breha Organa. If there is one thing I could tell you about your ancestors-"

Once again the droid would look right at Faith,

"Bail had some sort of turtleneck fetish. Every time I saw the man, he was wearing the heaviest sweater I have ever seen, just up to his chin in turtleneck. So if you ever want to celebrate your family's legacy, just wear the thickest woolen navy sweater you can find."

Faith laughed, "There are portraits of them in the Mountain Palace as well as the Royal Museum and you're right in both he wears this high collar." Her Organa ancestors, only because her side of the family had not been near Alderaan in those days they had left but that was a long time ago now, long time.

It was good to hear someone speak of Alderaan though, "Leia might have shot first " She smiled again referring to the ancient argument.

She listened intently about the Castle lands, "Do you mean the killiks?" The vong forming had killed the last of them as far as she knew, another great sadness over what the Sith had done. there were something that they just couldn't recreate, it made Alderaan feel incomplete.

"I did not know about the nerfs, I know about manka cats, and wolfcats. They, are on the rebound." Yes so far this had been a very good idea.

"How long have you been here on Abregado-Rae Lord Protector?"

[member="HK-36"]

HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
[member="Faith Organa"],

HK nodded to Faith,

"Yes, the Killiks, you know your history well."

Of course the insectoids survived, once they contained their aggressive ways they were left in peace, and who knows, with so many planets unexplored in the Galaxy and so much time passed now, there could as well be another large Killik Nest in the Unknown Regions preparing to wage war against the Galaxy once more.

"As to my time on Abregado, not long, at least not in the grand scheme of things, I took over shortly after Omega Protectorate took hold of the planet as one of its Core Worlds. There was a pirate and smuggler problem here you see, and I was charged in stationing my company of troops to protect the citizens and deal with it. Then one day a man named RC 212 came along, trying to enslave a group of Abregado citizens, he was the man responsible for setting off a nuclear device in Keldabe during the Siege of Mandalore, if you have heard about that. I killed his crew and chased him through the streets. I shot him down from the sky when he tried to escape and then dragged him through the street as people cheered. I loaded him into a prison transport personally and sent him right away to Fondor so Protectorate could take him into custody and Mandalorians would be able to deal justice upon him."

HK recalled the events to Faith, looking over the streets of his domain, their float-boat was moving towards a large circular building in the center of the Capital City,

"Lady Protector then named me the First Baron of Protectorate and Abregado was given as my property, my reign here begun at that moment and my troops begun to patrol the streets in greater numbers than ever. I dealt with crime swiftly and harshly but treated my people justly and with kindness. Soon I took control of their industrial assets, nationalized any competition, and expanded the Guild of Hammers, local industrial union, creating jobs and commerce for the locals. The beginning of my rule was tense but once we got through it the Gados warmed up to me, I promoted their native culture and conducted archeological research to restore it."

He would look back to Faith, it was his time to ask a question,

"Tell me, is there still Phrik on your planet?"

It was odd in some ways he was a mechanical being who had lived through history, a wealth of information and data all stored in this one place. How odd, and yet she couldn't help but wonder did he get lonely. Clearly he was accustomed to talking with others, and his sentience could make him susceptible to all the emotions that she felt, or anyone felt.

What does a droid do if they feel lonely? It was a question that perhaps in time she could ask him. Instead she smiled as he spoke listening as he talked about his time here on Abregado Rae. The Siege of Mandalore everyone knew, and the spot where the bomb went off it was a sacred spot.

He was the one that made sure the culprit went to prison. Faith hardly noticed the movement of the float boat; her attention was on [member="HK-36"] as she listened she leaned forward as she took in every word.

When he finished she leaned back, she enjoyed this conversation.

She looked now at their surroundings, he said he helped them promote their native culture, "I'd like to know more about the native culture. I have great respect for those who preserve culture and history"

It was easier to work with people who shared in the same things she did, they just found more things to discuss rather than look at each other waiting for a response. The more she spoke to the Lord Protector the more she could see the benefits of an Embassy located on Abregado Rae.

His next question was not unexpected the one thing Alderaan was known for, "Phrik, yes Alderaan still has phrik. Veins of it still run rich through the Juran Mountains." "What would you like to know about it?"

HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
[member="Faith Organa"],

At her words on Gados history, and her apparent interest in their culture, the droid nodded,

"You are always welcomed to take a walk through these streets and visit local museums without guards. In between my reputation and the patrols of my soldiers there is very little crime, even the darkest alleys at night are fairly safe. The Gados always lived in the balance with the planet, they did not abused its resources and kept pollution in check, they settled along the waterways and lived with the rhythm of the tides. One of their main tenants and perhaps their very nature is hospitality, welcoming strangers with open arms and showing great interest in learning other cultures."

He looked aside into the streets,

"That is how they forgot about their past in the first place, and why it was always so easy to conquer them through force. Their bodies are not exactly built for combat and instead of fielding open resistance they would rather just grin and bare it, wait out the occupation and adapt into it. They rebel very rarely but it does happen with especially cruel leaders."

When she asked him about what he would like to know about Phrik he gave out what could be called a mechanical, metallic laugh, rather alien when compared to what the droid's usual voice sounded like. Perhaps that was the true voice of the machine, of what droids actually sounded like when they were not mimicking their creators,

"I know plenty about Phrik already, perhaps even more than you. But I am looking for a reliable source of it to fuel some of my upcoming project. Perhaps we can work out a deal, allow me access to some of your planet's Phrik, and I can bring industry and commerce that blessed Abregado to Alderaan, give your people more jobs, more capital, not to mention the protection of mine Iron Company and Firemane."

Just as the droid proposed the deal they would come into the shadow of Abregado's senate building, large dome-like roof of the structure blocking out the sun. In the shade, the droid's crimson eyes would cast a soft red glow on Faith.

It was not unusual for them to receive such a request afterall Alderaan was easier to deal with in regards to gaining phrik than some of the harsher worlds.

"the Gados actually sound a bit like Alderaanians we look at our home and see it's natural beauty and always try to preserve it, the Sith took it from us turned it into an abomination from its original creation." Sadness once again touched her voice as the hints reflected in her eyes with a blink she pushed them all away and looked at her host, "I think we would get along well with them."

But her home was not what the Sith had turned it into Alyesa had ensured that all of the vong forming was removed. And now all they did was build, and build, and recreate, replant, rebuild, and say prayers over everything they did that it would flourish and turn Alderaan green. And it was turning green, the Jungles returned and Alderaan healed herself in regions not willing to give up and die.

He laughed, it could be a genuine laugh for him she did not know, is that what they sounded like when they laughed? There was much to learn about him and she wanted to ask but still she reminded herself she was his guest and to not be rude, but perhaps..in the end she would push just a little to know.

The offer of bringing jobs to Alderaan was solid, her people could use jobs. "I would welcome an ally such as yourself and that of Firemane, I've heard much about them but please clarify what you mean by protection. As for the phrik I would have Alderaanians mine it as you say for the jobs and capital, but also because we would use traditional Alderaanian mining methods to protect Alderaan and her recovery."

Faith saw the domed building as she turned to see what would cast its shadow on them, "I use to work in a building like that, it was a place for free minds, free speech, and laws that everyone agreed to. But it got lost somewhere in the shadows of someone's greed." It was no more, gone.

Faith turned to the Lord Protector wishing he had a face that twitched like a humans.

HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
[member="Faith Organa"],

"Well it is simple, if you would allow us to help build mines that would supply us with Phrik we would be willing to send our forces in order to protect your planet and regime, in turn securing our deal, or just station our soldiers on your planet and build fortifications if you would allow us to boost its defenses."

The droid looked back to Faith when she turned to him, he scanned over her face,

For Force's sake is she going to try and kiss me?

He queried himself as his calculations concluded that the only reason she would be looking so intently at him was because she was taken by the beauty of his perfect metal body.

Finally the float-boat they were on stopped with a soft jolt, coming to the landing section and settling down gently. The droid would spring up in his seat, standing up and reaching out with his hand to help Faith up, according to his chivalry protocols,

"Well right now this is a place of counsel and my seat of power. Any citizen of Abregado has a place in our planetary Senate, whether organic or mechanical they can become a senator and help lead their community, voicing their concerns and ideas to help me manage the planet better. Should I step down one day or perish, they have been tasked with choosing among themselves a democratic leader to take over in my stead. But, for now, as long as I live there is only one Iron Lord who rules over these lands."

He would glance back to Faith,

"And to be fair, Gados would get along with a rock, as they often do."

HK quipped, going back to her previous musings.

[member="HK-36"]

Faith could not figure out what was going on inside his metal dome and did not know how she would react if she did. "Lord Protector your offer of troops is quite generous, but there is already a mandalorian presence there, and an Alderaan presence. I will glady trade with you for the phrik you desire but there are a number of families already with mines that could use the revenue I would glean what you need from them rather than bore more holes into the Juran Mountains. In this way my family supports the nobilty, who can support their loyalists, and we can grow our economy."

Faith reached out to take offered hand and step down she looked again to the Senate, "sounds quite easy to be a Gados." Faith missed being a Senator and she could not fathom why she did.

She stepped out and stood before the Lord Protector, "I don't wish to turn Alderaan into a military installation. We do wish to protect it though, so perhaps for the phrik we could have the embassy, and call upon you should our home be danger." She smiled keeping her gaze on him if he had any sensors that read emotions, intent let him read her now an understand she was speaking in all seriousness.

Her home was her first priority.

HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
[member="Faith Organa"],

"It is certainly easier for Gados now than under the previous regimes, I like to think of myself as a generous being."

The droid nodded as he lead Faith off of the boat and in front of the Abregado Senate steps,

"I do accept your offer of building embassy here in exchange for Phrik, if the shipment of Phrik is done in small quantities but over longer period of time. You see I was planning on pushing forward a new plan of weaponry involving Phrik, ammunition, swords, shields. Bring Abregado closer to the front of Galactic military technology."

He would start walking up the steps, slowly so Faith could keep up,

"As to my troops, I would not let your world burn, of course, I would come to your aid, but it may be rather difficult to convince my people and allies into committing full forces into such a cause. We became weary after the numerous wars we went through in recent history and the brethren we lost, you see."

HK stopped briefly, looking at Faith,

"Of course it would be much easier to have more soldiers available to your aid if we possessed some sort of property on Alderaan, an ARGH factory and distribution compound to your ecological specifications, for example, or favorable privatized trading rights to Phrik output from one of your mines."

Just as Faith had to think about the well being of her people, so did HK needed to push for the needs of his planet, and right now, for their security projects, they needed Phrik, and a lot of it, as cheaply as possible.

Faith followed up the steps taking in [member="HK-36"] words she understood. She began to doubt herself she was asking for an Embassy on a world that was miitaristic and run by the Lord Protector, and in return she was going to give him a factory, and phrik. Seemed like he was getting the better end of everything.

"Lord Protector I don't mind sharing phrik with you to obtain a building to be used as an Embassy, or even if you allowed us to build one. I will speak will clear all final details with the Queen. How much phrik do you think you will need?"

She smiled she wanted to give HK a deal, she wanted the Embassy and to make friends. Was what she doing buying them ? Or was she offering a deal that offered the right opportunities. A factory would employ Alderaanians, it would build to be ecologically fit for Alderaan, so...how was this not a win for Alderaan and the Lord Protector? She was over thinking it. As this had long term effects...right.

((Sorry for the pause! Atrisia, finals, it was a mess :p))

[member="Faith Organa"],

"Oh, for this particular project not much, not much."

The droid answered with a wave of his hand to calm her,

"Only to make a handful of arrowheads."

He added quickly,

"But, like I said, it will need to come at steady intervals to replace what would be lost protecting our planet, and the embassy here. I heard rumors of a Sith King planning a return to Atrisia. Perhaps the foul winds are upon us again and the war is coming."

They were, a galactic week later or so the whole mess on Atrisia kicked off,

"Either way, let your Queen know that I am willing to meet with her and negotiate the details of these Phrik shipments and any industrial holdings Abregado would have on Alderaan in person."

HK would stop then and turn to face her,

"Although the details still need to be fleshed out, I do not see why we cannot begin planning the construction of your embassy on Abregado soil, so do we have a deal?"

The droid offered her hand out to Faith for a shake and a thunder would clash up in the sky above them for dramatic effect, was she doing a deal with the devil?

By then they would be pretty much at the door to the Abregado Senate building, a large cylindrical structure with a concave circular roof that extended over its edges like a mushroom hat, casting shadows over its doorway and the steps. The whole place was seemingly made out of smooth sandstone, molded together into one continuous stretch of materials, reinforced beneath it with much stronger material to make it endure any possible attacks and hostilities from the weather.

In front of the doorway there was a durasteel statue of an armored and cloaked HK droid holding a lightsaber, the only statue the machine had committed from government funds and placed out in public. There were more statues of him on the planet, of course, but they were all made from the artists' own incentive, the droid even bought some of them, but he kept them in his Catacombs and personal chambers.

Arrowheads, she laughed softly right now she knew he was up to something bigger than arrowheads. He was slick for a droid, whoever programmed him had him on a learning curve for smooth.

She could point the company to the deserts, or the polar poles Alderaan was a big planet and phrik was rich there. A factory, even one designed with all the environmental controls and means on Alderaan that employed hundreds of miners, and processes sounded like the deal she should jump on. They couldn't do anything without clearance from the nobles and the royal family.

Draco would tell her they did need anymore troops but after what the Sith had done in the back of her mind she just felt there wasn't enough to go around. They would need to regulate the amount of phrik taken by the mine. Her mother needed to be consulted that's all there was.

"I will bring the terms to my mother Lord Protector if she agrees then we will shake and have reached an accord. I wish I could make this decision, but all the others only wanted trade agreements this is a bit more than an agreement.

"Good, I am looking forward to hearing her response. And sometimes I forget that not all governments function as efficiently as mine does."

HK quipped in response to the statement that she could not make the decision on her own.

The heavy durasteel door to the senate building would raise up, opening the way forwards for them, HK would still lead her inside. Past the outer doors the Senate would open into a grand circular dome-covered entrance hall. Gados, droids, and other races would busy themselves back and forth, moving to and in between their offices, another grand door was directly in front of them, an entrance to the senate forum floor, then there smaller was like spokes of a wheel built into the walls on both sides, those doors would lead them towards the aforementioned offices, the Senate also functioned as the main administrative building of the planet, it was there that the droid held his office along with ministers, representatives, and other top officials, and people of the Capital City would go to renew their float-boat license and stuff like that.

"When the Lady Protector first took control and formed the Protectorate as a dictator, it was done in times of great peril and distress you see, we did not had time for democracy or being bogged down by bureaucracy, we need a strong singular leader to lead us then and there, someone with clear plan for the future. She fulfilled that role and lead us towards a new age of prosperity, of peace. I have done the same for Abregado."

He motioned around the senate building, it was under his rule that it was built. Also, there was a small diminutive elevator door in a wall hidden behind some greenery to freshen the place up, probably a maintenance elevator or something along those lines.

"Now that there is no more war some say that I should step down and let the people run their own course."

HK glanced to Faith,

"I say, do not fix what is not broken."

By then they would be in front of the other grandeur durasteel door, it would open before them and it would reveal the Abregado Senate Floor, in design very similar to the one on Coruscant, except smaller, much smaller, after all they did not have a need for as many floating pods as Coruscant did, Abregado did not have as many politicians. Still, there was the grand podium in the middle and opening with floating platforms for representatives to speak from.

"Still, I had this built, so that during my reign a new democratic system could be formed on Abregado, one that would take my responsibility when I would resign."

Currently the Senate Hall was empty.
