The Run

Wes held himself tall, for now.

The Hutt wasn't exactly an easy person to get to, but as they wandered through the Casino he could see the recognition on some of the guards faces. A few of them smiled, others scowled, though the majority seemed to be happy to see him.

"Need to talk to Jorga." Wes said to a Gamorrean guard standing by a large set of double doors. "I need his help."

The alien looked at Wes, nodded and then peered at Alexia.

It let out a loud snort. "She's with me."

She nodded and found herself lost in a daze, Wes' face seemed blurry around the edges but blurry in a good way. Did his face always have that glow? There was another snort and she blinked, shaking her head. The guards were letting them in...right.

Heels clacked as she followed Wes into Jorga's chambers. The hutt's hand was already into one of his snack jars and several twi'lek and human dancers flanked his sides - male and female. She blinked again and came to a stop at Wes' side, keenly aware of the warmth radiating off his body. Huh. Even Jorga was looking attractive to the con-artist.

A hearty-laugh broke the silence as Jorga's eyes fell on Wes and he slithered forward.

A lot of people hated Hutts, and Wes generally didn't blame them.

Most of the slug like Aliens were wholly unpleasant in one way or another. They were either extraordinarily violent or had a tendency to do things that were off-putting. Jorga was no different in the latter part, something that was displayed as he shoved a handful of...bugs? Into his mouth. Wes frowned for a second, waiting for the Hutt to chew completely so that he didn't interrupt his enjoyment of the meal. After a few moments the Forger finally spoke.

"Hey Jorga." His tone was casual, a small twitch of a smile pulling at the Hutt's lips as soon as Wes spoke. "Long time no see."

The Hutt laughed heartily, speaking loudly in his native Huttese.

"Coruscant's been good, as you know." He'd steered quite a bit of his stolen goods through Nar Shaddaa and Jorga himself, not to mention a dozen other business opportunities that he'd given to Jorga. The hutt wasn't exactly Wes' patron, but they were friends of a sort.

"I need some help." He said finally. "I've gotten myself into a bit of trouble."

She was staring at Wes a bit dreamily again. Hand reached out and before she knew what she was doing, her fingers brushed across his chiseled jaw and mustache, as if smoothing some unkempt facial hair. Hand immediately withdrew and her attention shifted to the hutt.

She cleared her throat.

"It's my fault. My Da had a debt with another hutt and I was about to buy myself out of it. I didn't realize Rekali was so bloodthirsty...," she paused, glossy-gaze oggling Jorga. "Can I just say that color looks fabulous on you. Very charming."

Wes looked at Alexia twice over.

The first time it was because she had touched him. The second because she had spoken when he'd specifically told her not to do that. There was a reason for it. Jorga wasn't going to kill Alexia of course, but Wes had known that she would give some of their cards away.

It wasn't that Jorga was bad in the same way other Hutts were, but he was still a Hutt. He was in this game to make money, even though he already had more than a mountain of it. Of course Wes couldn't really blame him, he would have done the exact same thing, but still. This was a negotiation and what Alexia had done was just revealed that they were desperate.

"It's fine." He waved her off. "You can make money off this."

Jorga chuckled. "That's what matters."

Really it was.
