What Romeo had not saw was the small pool pit in the middle, on it laid something, and something bright next to it. "There it is!" Romeo said in an excited breath. His pupils dilated as he edged closer to the middle of the room. Here it was. Revan's lightsaber. The man of legend, the bane of the Mandalorians, terror of the Republic, and here was his weapon he used when he became the savior of the galaxy. "The Revanchist, Revan the Butcher, the Prodigal Knight..." Romeo spoke all the titles he could think for the man.
"There was no body...only a mask, a lightsaber, and a robe after the Foundry...but the contents Dromund Kaas said they had been placed in different spots, to keep any inspiration of another Revan rising I suppose, but that doesnt matter, not with Onyx running around..." Of course Romeo was just talking to himself. Finding anything on Revan thought was difficult, and was considered worth a little money. Having a copy of Malgus' briefing of the fight would worth something to someone, but this...this right here. "This is the real prize." He said out loud. He reached the small, waist high pillar that held what he wanted. Romeo tossed his saber to the side, and picked the cylinder master piece up. What was this next to it? "A crystal?" Romeo picked it up, and felt the power that surged through it. He felt himself stronger in the force.
Romeo looked down back at the pillar. It was scratched on, but words in basic were visible.
"The saber of the Revanchist, hidden so that no one could rise in his place, and terrorize the galaxy again."
Romeo smirked. "I'm not taking his place, my place is already made, and the galaxy is not what my eyes are on." He looked up, and then back at the saber, and crystal.
Romeo sat down, and felt the pain again shoot up his chest. He winced once more, but didnt let this stop him. Laying the two items down, Romeo closed his eyes, and concentrated on the force. The whispers came again, but Romeo was too indulged in force to care. Reaching out with his mind, the saber rose, and floated in front of his face. He willed the saber to gently come apart, releasing holding mechanisms here, and undoing seals here. The saber was now in pieces in front of Romeo.
He then reached out with the force, and the power crystal rose, and slid slowly into the emitter spot. Romeo then willed the parts to come back to their rightful wholeness. When he was done, the saber was back together, and whole again. He grabbed it, and turned it on. A cyan blade cracked to life, and he force flowed around him with a more gentle, and easier sense. The hilt felt perfect in his hands, and his face lit up with a smirk.
He looked back up at the hole in the ceiling. Was there on purpose.
He pressed his comlink.
"This is Romeo...bring the ship over the temple...I have it." His voice echoed out, and the whispers stopped. Now it was his, and only his.
