Techno Union NPC Security Forces
The Security Force
The Security Force of the Techno Union primarily revolves around a technologically advanced and highly mobile navy. What serves as an “army” when required is a gargantuan amalgamation of war and battle droids, generally complemented by organic mercenaries, Obsidian agents, and various other handsomely paid contractors. The ranking system of the Techno Union Security Force revolves around a naval command structure.
For the most part, the main body of the Techno Union’s security forces consists of droids. These droids range from being as large and armed as tanks or small and lightly armed scouting droids. Droids also make up a substantial part of naval crews in the Techno Union. The Techno Union believes in automating as much of its military as possible, as its droid forces prove more methodical, tactical, and efficient than the largely organic militaries of the rest of the galaxy.
The Auxiliary Companies
Because the Techno Union contains several notable alien worlds, such as Bothawui and Rodia, it employs several auxiliary companies made up of these species that plays off of their strengths. These companies add a level of specialization, skill, character, and national prestige not able to be found in droid. Example auxiliary companies employed by the Techno Union Defense Force and their specialties would be as follows.
- 77th Bothan Ranger Battalion
- Special Forces, Scouting Operations, and Espionage/Subterfuge.
- 29th Aqualish Combat Engineer Battalion
- Danger-Close Repair, Heavy Artillery Support, and Explosives/Demolitions.
- 42nd Rodian Marine Battalion
- Boarding Action, Naval Support, and Amphibious/Aquatic Warfare.
- 13th Human Vanguard Battalion
- Orbital Drop, Strategic Defense, and Vehicle/Fighter Combat.
