The Shadows' Awakening (SA vs SJO)

James was getting drowsy and felt that a walk in the brisk morning air would help wake him up. After all, he wasn't done with the archives, so he'd return after a good walk.

Making his way up the level via the lift, he found himself instantly feeling better as fresh air hit his lungs. He saw a speeder zoom by heading for the landing pads where he'd parked his shuttle. The Archive was in low orbit, the droids maintaining it until he returned. He had some ideas for upgrades, but hadn't made the time yet. Onboard the speeder were familiar signatures from his first meetings with the Silver Padawans. Arisa and the strange rabbit creature, identified easily by James.

Taking a deep breath, he gathered as much Force energy he could and jumped off towards the landing pads. Leaping and bounding his way there, he tracked the speeder. Coming to rest at the top of a staircase, and sat against the railing. He noticed that Arisa did not look like Arisa, must be using some sort of disguise, a damn good one at that. Not Force based, so it wasn't traceable. He decided to use Force Cloak and observe the situation, if Arisa, the Grandmaster, was here in person, something important was about to happen. Pulling out a piece of gum, he popped it into his mouth and enjoyed the minty flavor.

Master Namto in those fifteen minutes had already passed rested within the spaceport itself with [member="Orion Darkstar"] , [member="Kaalia Voldaren"] , and the other 'Jedi' he had brought along. The ship [member="Arisa Yune"] was walking towards was empty of life, though not completely devoid of substance. Instead, the ship was rigged to explode, and as the disguise of Namto faded from the elder Sith the ship would detonate.

"Span out, kill any in your way. They will come for us now. Make them think it's an army." A large grin had formed on the elder man as he continued to step through the spaceport, his cane clicking against the ground as he stepped through the crowd that had begun rushing to the explosion. The time to begin was now.

She finished warming up, when the battle cry was heard. They where to rush out, and make them selves felt like an army, so be it. She used the force enhance her speed, she ran out jumped over the others. She was running stright for in the incoming power supply, a sub station at the back of the space port. Once she taken that down, any localized shields, intercoms would be out, it would stop back up coming quicker, than wanted. She ran into two guards, as she did she lit up her saber staff. They pulled out what looked like blasters, as they did she jumped over them, and span round decapitating them both quickly. Their bodies slumped to the floor, and blood pour out from the necks. The heads rolled down towards a container, leaving a couple caps on the way. She however carried on running, she wanted to get to substation quickly.

He sat aboard the borrowed vessel, in the pilot seat. Demanding to fly it, prior to the event tossing the current pilot out from the vessel - though let's not talk about that. He gave a snarl as he began to approach the Moon, seeing it in the far distance as only a dot in the vast spectrum of stars in the sky. He flicked several switches, checking various notches were flicked before nodding at the terminal and switching it on connecting to the frequency given to him by [member="Darth Lykos"].

"Honas'di, here. Ready." He snarled at the holocommunicator, quickly turning back to the controls. His weapon of choice laying up against his chair, he turned and grabbed onto it. The Darkbite was his one and only weapon, though it was powerful. This would be his first chance to actually use it. It was a gift from Darth Lykos, though it came with a cost. One he intended to prove to Darth Lykos, that he would complete.

He steadily guided the ship on low speed, towards the destination awaiting commands from the terminal. He tapped his foot onto the metal panel beneath him, flicking another switch before exhaling lowly.

The Kushiban had stayed quiet most of the ride. He was doing some last second checks on the readings. Nodding as Master Yune in disguise as Namto spoke. It was odd but would be easy enough to play along with. Fur changing from it's normally relaxed white to a more neutral grey he frowned and looked up. "Do you sense it to then? This whole situation just seems off and I just cannot get my fur to stay white. Something is going to happen." he said and hopped out of the speeder. As he padded along on all fours with the lightsaber attached to the belt on his side he looked around. The landing pad was empty, that wasn't a good...

BOOOOM boom boom krishssssh boom

He sensed the wave of dark side energy a moment before the explosives went off. The only thing that saved him from getting completely pelted with shrapnel was the instinctive reaction of sending a wave of force energy forwards in a giant push. The fireball, shrapnel, and secondary explosions happening mere milliseconds after the first explosion were meet in their dangerous path with a blasting wave that cut a sharp V into them. Ears flattening it was enough to deafen him though. Collapsing partly in exhaustion, partly in pain, and mostly on instinct the small shards of metal nicked into his skin slowed down enough by the force push to only cause small cuts and not enough to be lethal. He'd need a medical droid to spend awhile cleaning out the hundreds of small cuts but he would survive. Moments later the automated fire suppression system activated, dousing his smoldering fur from what licks of flame had made it through his push, and began spraying the entire landing platform with foam. Struggling up to avoid getting his small body swamped in it he looked around for [member="Arisa Yune"] with a loud ringing in his large ears.

Yuroic was stepping out of the library when he heard the explosion kicking off. Alarms were ringing as everyone headed to the site of the explosion. However, he took a step back in the library and paused for a moment, he was sure that heading to the site of the explosion was of little use, those who had set it off would be off running through the temple. Likely either blending in or rushing to their targets. There was no time for Yuroic to change into armour or run around looking for his Master. His first objective would be to locate the infiltrators and assess what their mission was. Where were they heading to and protect lives if he could.

Flicking the dark green hood of his cloak over his head, Yuroic moved into action. Stepping through the crowds of Jedi running around, he fixed his gaze on searching for possible Sith, bounty hunters, Imperials or anyone that could be an enemy to the Silver Jedi. His lightsaber was handy to his belt, still in its saberstaff form, he was hopeful that the skills he had learnt with them today would be enough to keep him alive against enemy threats.

He was still in the corridor to the library, trying to think of other areas that could be of interest to the Sith. The only other one he could think of was the prison cells where they currently had one prisoner. But it seemed a lot of effort to jailbreak one person, however, the importance of that one person could be worth the effort to these people. Yuroic swiftly moved the cells, his cloak whipping at his feet as he ran.

As Ailuros was about to finish her round of the garden, a voice spoke in her mind and a beast started growling at her. She was intelligent enough to figure out the growls weren't meant as a warning and her hand that had moved to her weapon just returned to her side, the claws of her other hand and feet went back into their sheaths.

Her ears perked forward at the beast, whiskers twitching and her tail flitting back and forth, Ailuros stopped and looked at him quizzically.

"I am Ailuros. And you."

Extending a paw like she'd seen others do, she hoped this was how an introduction was done.

"What are you doing out here so early? Come with me if you want, I'm just making my rounds and finished in the garden."

Leaving out the fact she was about to sample the leaves she had just taken, Ailuros started heading inside again.

James was on his feet the instant he felt the Force alert him about the impending explosion. He dodged a piece of hull as it slammed into the wall behind him. James took a step towards Arisa and the rabbit Jedi creature, but watching a Sith leap over everything and make for the only building in her line, the power station. If she was to get there, the Temple shields would fall and the long rang comms would be down until the backup generators kicked on. That would be too long for him to allow the Sith to go unopposed.

Instantly, James began bounding on the rooftops of the complex to intercept the Sith. Pulling a number of throwing knives, James flung a few at the Sith, aiming for anything exposed and using the Force to guide his aim. His Force Cloak would fall away to conserve energy. Gaining ground on the woman wasn't difficult as she ran through the walkways and had to deal with turns and corners, James went on a straight line to the power station.

At each exposed location he could, James launched a number of knives after the Sith. Keeping her busy slowed her down, simple tactic, make them move left to right instead of forwards, takes more time to side step or dodge than were she being forced to act at all.

If it hadn't been for Arisa already being on guard as she approached the ship, then it was very likely that the Grandmaster would have been killed in a more lax state as it exploded. Guided by precognition, she whipped her hand in front of her and projected a great wave of pure Force energy in front of her in a raw display of power.

Directly in her path, flying debris disintegrated, and fiery explosions were snuffed out of existence. For a few moments, a near perfect hole would be punched through the resulting fuel fires and smoke. Though she would still be flung backward in a tumble as she failed to block all the incoming shockwaves. Arisa grunted as she skidded across the tarmac, feeling as though she had just taken haymakers all to the front of her body.

She staggered back to her feet, gasping for breath the whole time as the wind had just been knocked out of her. Her mouth was filled with the coppery taste of blood, a thin red line of it trickling down one corner of her lips. There was a strong painful ringing in her ears that left her wincing.

As she stood straight, she would stare upon the flames with a sense of bewilderment. Then the sounds of sirens cut through her daze, and her senses sharpened once more. Seconds later, and she would be surrounded by Rangers and other first responders on the scene to pull her away from the blast zone.

In survival mode, she had to consciously stop herself from blasting them all away on reflex, then wriggled away to create some space for herself. By now, the cyborg's neural link was being flooded with all sorts of alarms.

Arisa sighed to herself in resignation, as she figured this was only a prelude of more to come. She wasn't even mad then but rather feeling dejected as chaos had been brought to her doorsteps once more, and the awful thinga she would have to do in response. Steady now, she turned toward Mabbik to reconnect, but the Kushiban was already on his way toward her.

As she closed the distance, she would already be issuing commands, ordering Aegis Base to elevate threat levels to FPCON DELTA. A similar alarm would be raised for Ossus temple at the center of Aegis. The whole fortress complex would soon be buzzing with activity in response to the terrorist attack that had just occurred outside its walls. High above in space, the Ossus home fleet would begin scrambling a squadron of Sowa to provide dedicated overwatch to the area and monitor space traffic more closely. At that point, in a heightened state of alert, even stealth craft may find trouble moving near the planet undetected.

It looked like fighting had already broken out, but Arisa kept out of it for the time being. Her robes were a mess, but the foil still hung to her side, and other weapons still secured against her body. In anticipation of personal combat with any of the terrorists that may be lurking in the area, she cocooned herself in a shroud of Force energy. Whatever else may come at her now, she was ready. As she did turns off the corridors, she finally made it to power station. She then saw a Jedi between her and her target, he was bigger than he and heavier than her. She saw he had two lightsabers, she recognized his armour from her time fighting people in it, when she was a member of the one sith. She figured seeing the armour was generic, it meant he would be not of that high standing amongst his piers. Though a Jedi should never be underestimated, and such she decide to just attack him. She took deep breath and filled her lungs up with air, and then started feel the force, She then blew him and a kiss, and let loose with a force bellows. The second it left her, she lit up her saber staff and went to slice him in two.........

THE FIGHT WAS ON

The Wookie would look at the hand, lifting his own up delicately and resting under hers, lifting her own up gently and causing it to drop. While he truly did know his own strength, he still was paranoid for the creatures he met. He didn't want to kill or break any accidentally. Either way, he'd still consider sitting, speaking to the cat-lady. Baby blue eyes shown through the hair of the wookie, present a calm, relaxed mind trapped voiceless-yet not really. He spoke again, a mixture of growls and wookie noises, yet to you, it was clear in your mind what he was saying. "I have never really seen anything like you before, other than my own people, however...I know you're not that, obviously. What is your species?" When he closed his mouth, it stopped all together. He would calmly wait for an answer, watching her, while also finding interest in other things in the garden. A sign of trust, since he wasn't always watching you this close. Once his mind remembered what you said, he'd tap the ground with the Kanabo, a slight shake given to you as he got up with it. He'd rest his palm on the pommel of it, as he lifted it up, having it hover on the ground, following her in side, just a tad-late behind.

James awaited the Sith at the entrance to the power station, sounds of klaxons rang out across the facilities to rally the units. Fire suppression and Rangers would flood the streets by Arisa's design. There were a number of Sith signatures that James could feel, this was a full assault.

Turning his attention back to the female Sith, she started off very straight forward with a Force Bellow, to which James would counter with a directed Force Shockwave to cut the wave of Force energy down the middle. Clapping his hands together, the energy would fly out like his hands were a funnel, directing the blast of energy. Grabbing one saber off his belt, he returned the charge by the Sith, leading the way with a blast of Force Lightning.

Following the assault of electricity, he'd enter close quarters by engaging the saber staff with a dashing thrust to the midsection. The second blade flying to his hands, activating the orange blade in a defensive, reverse grip.

If the Jedi were to look back at sensor logs minuets prior to the explosion that had necessitated the need to put Aegis Base on full alert, they would find a reading that could have been simple background fuzz, a singly dot of a transmission. No words, no commands and lasting for no longer than even half a second. But, it had been there, it had been present and detected. Detected, that is, by more than the Silver Jedi. For as that single blip had been made, an alert had sounded within the Pasma-Class Infiltrator that Darth Lykos has ownership of. Nothing more than a long, drawn out and deep pitched tone, but, it was enough that a feral malicious smirk would stretch across scarred lips for but a moment and a fire as cold as ice would illuminate the depths of his Amber gaze.

"Honas'di, Leliana." His words would cut across the encrypted communications channel that all three were conversing in. Whereas, while directing them on the finer details of their mission, his voice had been cold, emotionless and calculating there was now an almost tangible bite to his words. A commanding presence woven into his every sound, cutting through anything the two may have been saying with harsh efficiency - commanding that they listen to him. "You are worthless at this moment. You are nothing. You were born nothing, and you remain nothing." His words would be clearly enunciated, ensuring that they would hear everything he said. Meanwhile, in the background, Gvibr had left her Master's side and disappeared into the cockpit of the Infiltrator.

"But, now, you stand at a precipice. A precipice that will determine your worth. You are weak, tempered. Brittle, frail. But since you have accepted the Shadows into your life, embraced the truth of this reality, borne upon your shoulders the law that everything you see is an illusion crafted by carefully spun words, become an Assassin, you have begun to grow. But now this precipice looms before you. On this day, you will be tempered into something new. Your first steps as true acolytes of the Shadows will be made when you walk away from here this day. Or, you will die - you will prove that you will remain as nothing, remain weak and die." Below his bared feet he could feel the vibrations of the starship's engine as it came to life and, knowing his Hand, the stealth systems were rechecked and confirmed.

"Prove yourself strong enough to conquer this precipice. Become more, take your first steps as a True Assassin as you strike at the Light this day. We are the ones that walk the shadows, that obscure our true selves from all. We are the ones that see all and can strike without worry. For we are nowhere, yet everywhere." His emotionless features would crack into a smirk once more as his final words echoed over the channel before it would shut of as the Phasma began its rapid descent. "I wish you luck. Return as True Assassins."

Turning away from the now inactive holocommunicator, Lykos strode on lengthy strides to the cockpit's entryway, settling his amber gaze upon Gvibr, ensuring that she was aware of his presence before speaking. "Protocol Theta." Again, he waited for a response from the woman before acting, this time turning away and heading back to the holocommunicator as soon as he saw the silent nod of her raven-haired head.

Steeling himself on his knees in front of the holocommunicator, his robes falling around him, Lykos began to focus. He ingored the slight rumbling of the craft as it speared its way through the atmoshphere, no doubt followed by other Phasmas. He ignored the slightly stale air that always occurred due to the air filtration system. He ignored the scent trails left behind by he and his Hand both. He ignored the blackness that consumed his vision as his eye closed. He ignored the sounds originating from the cockpit. He ignored all but his self, and he became.

No longer was he Lykos, he was Oblivion, he was a Shadow, as he stretched out into the Force, casting his gaze out and away from his physical shell. He was one with the Force in that moment and the Force was he - indistinguishable from the natural ebbs and flows of the Force due to the variety of cloaking techniques he had employed while in his physical self. His Presence revealed no intent, a porcelain mask of Quey'tek. His Presence was a pinprick within the grand and vast ocean of the Force. His Presence even matched the flow of the Force around him, mirroring it exactly in as a perfect reflection. He was Nothingness, he was Oblivion and a part of the Dark itself.

For, no matter how much the Light weighed upon the planet of Ossus, so long as one hated, felt envy or lust or greed, then the Dark would find a handhold. No matter how much the Light sort to burn it away, the Dark would find its handholds and slither and shift away from the searching gaze of the Light. Hidden in plain sight and always there. And that was he in that moment as he gazed down upon the world of Ossus, for he was the Force - the Dark - and it was he and none could hide from the gaze of the Force.

He saw, seeing beyond the physical, as the ship he vaguely recalled as ferrying his physical shell wound and weaved its way beneath a physical blockade - it's mass obscured by gravitic modulators and form and signature hidden by stygium. He saw as an explosion ripped across a spaceport, deathly fingers reaching out beyond the ether in an attempt to claim the Souls that narrowly avoiding burning. He felt pain and worry and fear as it blossomed into being and he fed. He satiated his hunger and slaked his thirst upon his foes even as they attempted to stand strong before a burning wreckage.

But, that was not what he sought, so he saw elsewhere. Presence and Intent obscured, hidden from even the metaphysical senses, his Shadow self, less than even smoke, streamed away from the fire and debris, searching, searching for his target. It wove across mountains and through hallways of panicked beings. It sort and hunted, seeking. And, eventually, it found. And when it found, the Force Screamed.

No Darkness would be felt from the act, nothing could be felt but a sense of normality even as the Force screamed and writhed, its fabric of being slowly being torn apart strand by strand as the unnatural, the impossible, occurred - disobeying all rules of reality by imposing its own. The wound stretched across the Force, ripples of the pain being felt by all, but no intent, no whisper from the Force as to why it was screaming, who was causing it unnatural pain as space twisted. And as he preformed this perversion of reality, he did not care about the pain that he was now luxuriating in. Conflict, pain, it only served to make you stronger and while the Force writhed and twisted from its wound now, it would scar, it would heal and it would grow stronger.

Opening his physical eyes, the Aspect of Conquest would smirk as the pain upon the Force would come an end after the long seconds had concluded. He would smirk as cold steel and electronics would be replaced by nature and mountainside. Conquest, Oblivion, Shadow. He was them all in this moment, Lykos was but an echo of his true self.

At 0549 Ossus Time a terrorist attack was made against the Order of the Silver Jedi. At 0500 Ossus Time, Oblivion had landed upon the surface of the planet.

Valae had barely made it to the Healing hall; she spotted Celeste waiting in the doorway. But then – she felt a terrifying ripple through the force. Not a second later, the explosion sounded, easily heard within the walls of the Ossus Temple. Her heart leapt. Valae aimed a frantic glance at her fellow healers; the group was now gathered in the hall. She blinked hard, trying to focus on their new task at hand. There were several pairs of eyes trained on Valae now, each waiting for direction.

She tried to ignore the sinking feeling within, and steeled her nerves.

“Lila – begin preparing medical teams. It’s likely we’ll have some injuries…” She paused, reluctant to mention possible casualties. It was a reality of their profession that they all knew well, not that it made it easy to deal with.

“Celeste, please come with me.” She said, and the two healers sped back down the hall.

As they neared the main complex of the temple, there were Jedi scattered about. All of them seemed to be shaken, some had just sought shelter from outside as the explosion occurred. There were words being whispered, something about a ship exploding on the landing pad. However, it was no accident. The response of the rangers was swift, making it clear that this was an actual attack of terror. There were also armored members of the Berserker unit present, many of them standing guard near the entrances.

“Quick, we must secure the younglings.” Valae urged Celeste, “Round them up – go to the basement. Keep them safe.” She placed a hand on the other woman’s shoulder and gave a steady squeeze.

Valae was confident in Celeste, she was a skilled counselor and quite gifted when it came to handling the young ones. She would be able to soothe them. But she would not send Celeste to the basement alone, it was important that they were well guarded. She approached a member of the Berserkers; already she could feel the effects of their Ysalamir.

“Please, send some of your men with Celeste Rigel to guard the younglings.” She said, and the man nodded. He motioned for three to follow the group that was now moving down the stairs.

She glanced to the side, where the medical teams would soon be emerging from the halls.

Valae closed her eyes for a brief moment, preparing for what was to come.

As the informal introductions were done between the Trianni and Wookie, Ailuros could hear the explosion at the landing platform at the spaceport. Even though the beast asked what race she was, that wasn't important nor was his name right now.

"Trouble."

Turning to run as fast as her feline legs would carry her, Ailuros ran into the library to search for her light armor. For once, she felt she was going to be needing it. In the Ranger area, she found her locker and quickly assembled her gear. If the wookie followed, she would look at him. If he hadn't then she would continue running to the main entrance. There hopefully would be either Valkren to give her further orders or one of the Jedi.

This was part of her training. She knew how to fight both with and without weapons.

The wookie did indeed follow, it seemed he was acting as a body guard for now. With a nod, he'd just ever so casually look away as she assembled armor. After that, the voice once again popped into her head. A much more...War-bringing tone to it. Serious and powerful. "I will fight alongside you for now. Until I find my place in the battle." The wookie would state, before going to follow her. He'd be traveling near right behind her to the left, Kanabo being held hovering off the ground, while he held the hilt. He'd collect the light shield for himself, along with the EMP Bowcaster, before going to one of the Mg-42's, and setting up there with it. He'd look to the cat, speaking once again in her head. "We stay here. Let them come." Nodding to the gun below him, he'd move and go to another gun, setting it up for himself, before he sat himself down. Waiting.

As she leaped into the air, her opponent nullified her attack. She raised an eyebrow at this, and landed on other side of him. As she landed, he let out a blast of Electric Judgement at her. It initially hit her, send her flying. She turned and took the rest up with her saber staff, he seemed he was not just a pup. She could feel the burns on her, she was here for one mission though, and she do that first then deal with him. She saw him coming towards her, she let out a belt force lighting at the power station, over loading it. She saw the circuits overload, and then the fuse blew. Just as he came at her, she turned to face him in the dark. As his Orange blade came at before she was ready, it struck her in the chest the phrik plate. The force of it knocked her back, and winded her slightly. She then gained her composure, she was little shocked by his ferocity. Though now she was ready for him, ready for his next attack, and whats more her part mission was successful, the power was out, nothing electrical would work. Turbo lifts, doors, computers, and heck even the windows would not open.

Leliana had stood there, hands glasped behind her back as Lykos delivered his speech. Her expression remained neutral, unfazed by his words as he spoke them. While they were different she had heard similiar speeches growing up, while learning to be an assassin in the facility that had been her home since childhood. But unlike back then, the Zabrak's words had actual meaning to them. This would truly mark her an Assassin of worth, nothing like the false pretences that had been thrown about years ago.

Nothing was said on her end, and simply gave Lykos a respectfully nod before call was ended and the holocommunicator powered down.

She turned on her heels, marching across the ship with even strides making quick work in reaching the cockpit.

"Do we have confirmation to get underway?" The pilot asked.

"We do. The sooner we're on the surface the better. Time is essential." Leliana settled herself in the co-pilot's seat, strapping in for the initial descent. Her ship followed in quick succession after Lykos. The Phasma's stealth systems kicked in before they reached the sensors allowing them to glide down to Ossus' surface undisturbed. Once they were past the atmosphere, Leliana unstrapped herself and stood up. "Are you certain you can make the move?"

"Kind of late asking that don't you think? But yes, I'm sure. I was specifically chosen as your pilot because I've been practicing the manoeuvre for weeks."

"What about the landing pad. Any indication if there will be an opening?"

"Nope. We're going to have to do this moment to moment. Hope you're fine with potentially jumping out of a ship."

Leliana said nothing, and instead turned her attention to the viewport. The cloaked vessel swooped down to an open stretch of land, in view of their intended target. The pilot took a deep breath, mumbling something; a prayer perhaps, before he kicked the Phasma forwards keeping low to the ground.

Straight towards Aegis Base.

James wasn't happy the Sith had chosen to take the blow, but to secure her mission in disabling the power systems for the complex. His first attacks had hit with force, but she seemed to be wearing Phrik armor. This would make things interesting. He'd need to make his attacks count if he wanted to get around the resistant armor.

Not letting up, James brought the off-hand blade around aiming for a cho mai, followed by a Saber Swarm technique of the Ataru form. Lashing out with short, quick strikes, aimed at all the major joints of the Sith's body. Keeping his timing, James enacted Shatterpoint, looking for them gaps and weaknesses in both her armor and defenses.

Mabbik felt the pain and struggled to get out over towards Arisa. Fighting past it he tried to relax and reach out with the force. That was when he felt himself being shoved somewhat roughly down and a needle being pressed into his neck. The stim caused pressed the pain back and felt his body's systems going into overdrive. Gathering the force and channeling it he started stretching out looking for any trace of the dark side. "Master Yune where are they?"
