Kay-Larr
Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay looked up from the books that she was reading as her cell door opened. She could hear the voice of [member="Darth Carnifex"] on the other side. He was speaking to [member="Yasha Mantis"] . Her niece had arrived. Whether it was for better or for worse, she had arrived.
She got to her feet and stepped away from her desk, watching as Yasha walked in with her two daughters, [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] and [member="Adara Raxis"] , the latter that she hadn't seen since she was an infant, the former she knew of as a good friend to her own two children.
Although the door was closed and for all intents and purposes they appeared alone, Kay was quite certain that they were being monitored, just as her own body was.
Her brows furrowed as Yasha almost seemed to blame herself for what happened. But that kind of weight wasn't needed on her niece's shoulders. "You have nothing to feel sorry for. Outside of these cuffs, injections and whatever samples they took from me, I'm...okay. But I don't know where Veiere and my children are. Veiere was a prisoner, but I believe that he somehow escaped. For surely if he was killed, his body would've been paraded in front of me, much like how they all cheered when over eight million people lost their lives in one split second. If you see them, tell them not to come for me. From what I've read in the literature that they've provided, it's not going to go well for them."
Her attention was then turned to Adara, whom was jumping up and down and butting in on the conversation. Kay gave her a small smile and crouched down a little so that she was at her level a little better. "It's very pretty.
But you know, back at my home I have such beautiful fabrics that will move like water when you move. And the colours...so bold and shiny. I hope that I can show you them soon and have beautiful dresses made for you...But first I need to talk to your mother. It's boring grown up stuff. Beth can keep you company while you wait for us, okay?"
She then looked up to Yasha again, peering at the wolf helm to where she assumed her niece's eyes were. If only she could reach her mind, but there was just no way. If only Yasha knew basic sign language like Kay did...but she didn't. "The Sith Emperor was going to attack us, no matter what either of us did. My ambush of the siege was just an excuse for him to execute his plan quicker. If there's anyone that needs forgiveness it's me, for being too prideful to avoid the deaths of my people. And what this treaty will entail, I can only imagine. People had warned me for a long time that my neutrality would end. And now that time has finally come. The side that we are on is obvious." Although Kay didn't choose to remark on what side that was. She wouldn't dare do so while she was trapped here.
"Now how about a hug for your aunt?" She didn't leave her a choice, she hugged her anyways, being sure that her lips were close to the wolf helm's ear as she spoke softer than a whisper; "Don't let them use me to force you to do what they want.
And keep my family away from home until it's safe. Please."
