Dominion The Signal is Calling: Silver Jedi Concord Dominion of Crispor

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Crispor a world of biodomes that have been set up for mining and harvesting gasses across the planet. Within each they are like small cities and that was one fo the things that was leading the silver jedi here. A group had laid claim to the damage done to the Silver rest.. emerald fires that had cascaded across the temple.... and with it house Io had laid a claim to the damage... Laertia Io Laertia Io a strange one but the jedi amster was trying to reorganize and unite the silver jedi under a single banner.. the council needed to be rebuilt and leadership settled upon so a purpose... they needed something... someone to go after but not for revenge or hatred... for the truth.

If they were involved then House IO would be brought to justice and that rrequired them to be alive which would require work on their part to find them... The work leading to Crispor and one of the larger buildings. Massive compared to the city in the Biodomes... steel aand stone with tens of thousands of residents who worked mining and resource gathering for their next meal. THe rangerrs and more combat oriented jedi were sent forward.. there was room for the others to come and help but there was a high likelihood of fighting and going against dangerous droid biots... thankfully rangers lead the way and had some of the better equipment as well as a trump card. Matsu had been in contact with the Omean shadow temple from the Jadeite. She would send a shadow... not a silver shadow but a jedi shadow and it would be a stark difference while the rest of the rangers got a chance to fight.

Objective: Ascend the Tower
House Io under Laertia Io Laertia Io have fortified the tower with their biots and soldiers. Combat it likely but orders to not attack first have been given to ranger divisions.

Objective: Infiltrate The Tower
Secondary entry points are important and innovation is needed from idea of sewers to aerial infiltration using the tops of the massive domes and sky diving into the central area of the tower to get in.

Bring your Own Objective:
There is much that can be done within the city itself... something simple like securing exits from the domes or working to rally local judicial forces to aid in capturing and handling captured foes.

Nimir-ra to Iella, Jedi Shadow
Location: Omean Temple

The static of the holodevice crackled as the jedi master sdat there... the temple was largely left alone even on Ahch-To.. the eternal empire who had laid claim to the world didn't do anything with it and even then few came to the temple. THe nexus created here wasn't designed for the frail as it was oppressive... most felt heavy and their limbs like they were within a heavy gravity room. It suited the training of shadows as they awaited the councilor of first knowledge to send them outwards for direct assignments. They were not silver shadows they were jedi who served because they chose to, limited in their role and after his stint on the Republics council it was better like this.

He traveled and returned here. "Syn." The voice came through and he didn't need to look up remaining there as he moved around. Slowly turning so the flow of the force went through his body. "There has been an attack, I need you on Crispor. The group there is claiming responsibility and could prove difficult. Heaad there, subdue and see that investigators safely. Uncover the truth." The message was short and he cut it while walking, the Alema was there for him and Liber was within mostly keeping it tidy. The jedi master only grabbed his sabers as he walked allowing the oppressive nexus of omean to follow him within.

Location: Crispor

The trip there had been easy enough and he had been told the details of the attack, he needed them... shadows uncovered the truth and handled situations... but he was preparing and meditating for it as the ship approached. The rangers and their soldiers being brought in to help... maybe some other jedi but as his ship touched down and connected to the building he left it open. Tempest Yore Tempest Yore and Sera Inkari Sera Inkari had been given his coordinates and back up was always preferable as the jedi master walked off the ship. The energy swirling around him before condensing and focusing... he didn't need to speak just went through the streets with the location designated on the tracker and a small mechanical voice giving him the directions.

He looked as some of the earlier ships arrived and had deployed. A few jedi were there and seemed more nervous... children they would make a fine mess of things if he did do something. "Jedi. Steady your hearts. Look deep into your souls. For your mettle is to be tested this day. If in the heat of battle you need a reason to fight on, you need only to look at the men and women who fights at your side. This is the why of battle. This is the brotherhood of our order. An unbreakable bond made stronger by the crucible of combat. You will never be closer than with those who you shed your blood with. For there is no nobler cause than to fight for those who will lay down their life for you. So you fight strong today. You fight for your brothers. Fight for your families. Most of all you fight for those who have been lost."

He said it and got some looks as most jedi didn't speak of combat but the jedi master just stood there bare chested and sashed covering his face while looking towards the build. He would wait until the rangers reported in.. it wans't much to send them in unprepared without some knowledge of the defenses or opposition... and he had never heard of his Xiphos or house IO... mattered little. The jedi shadow was going to show them why it was a mistake to attract attention.

One of his informants lives on Crispor, according to the news he was killed in the initial assault by these Nuetralizers. This made things personal for Jedi Master Caltin Vanagor so one would think he wanted some kind of revenge. The thing is, he was not for that, No, not because Caltin was a Jedi, but because he had his principles. If he just resorted for revenge, what did that make him? That would make him the vigilante that he once was. It was hard enough to get past that, going back to it was not an option.

Looking over the blueprints of this tower was pointless. The only way to ascend it without a fight would be to get on a shuttle and drop in. There were others doing this, and they did not need that kind of attention. There was climbing the outside of the building, but he was not going to be a sitting mynock. So, the big man was going to do what he does best. He was going to “tank” it, be the distraction, be so obvious that the attention was drawn to him. This way almost anyone else that wanted to ascend quietly would be met with significantly less resistance than they would otherwise if he did his job right.

He did not need a “weapons check”, he had all that he needed, knew where they were and that they were operational. So it was simply a matter of walking in the front door and in. Almost immediately the big man was met by reps who wanted to stop him, but they would not, for he was playing a part. Caltin was playing the part of the “big bad angry Jedi, bent on justice at all costs.” It was a part he played very well, almost like he was made for it. What were they going to do? Go to his superiors? He was on the Jedi Council.

The front door was fun, two “Model 1”s were there already.

Her Master's words spoke true, sending a call she had accepted happily, arriving to hear him speak. From out of her heat haze Kintan's priestess joined her Master's side once again. She couldn't call herself a Jedi herself, not yet, that was something which they were still working on between them. Their battle would be a test of her self-control, and she was glad he was here to guide her. Scars on her hand and cheek, darker times where she'd lost that control.

Sera smiled, with dip of her head, "Master Syn," still wearing her gifted crimson Jedi Jewel Robes, without the need to hide her face as much, scars covered but she was unveiled. There was a lightness to her face and aura like she'd reunited with someone important. Bright and kindling fire for those with sensitivity to see.

Auburn red hair was tied back and up, as someone had taught her. Her blue eyes gazed around thinking about what was to come, ~please don't let me lose myself,~ she spoke to Syn's mind, turning to others and seemingly perfectly at ease, but this was probably false. She was not likely to lose herself to raw emotion easily, but her visions or guilt were different challenges she still had yet to fully master. She couldn't hide forever.

Sera had her saberstaff by her side as before, as always, and simple shoes, carrying nothing else but her religious symbolisms and a cloth pouch. She knew her Master, she knew how well he walked between the dark places being a support and guide for others. He could carry so much, one day would she would too for others.

It was time to stop thinking just about herself. "Together we are stronger than we can know, we show each other who we are, and what we are capable of. Don't let darkness or despair tame your hearts." She turned to Syn, "this man saved me from darkness, saved me from my self-destruction, if your faith ever falters look to him for guidance as I do." Folding her hands back into her robes she glanced downward, then up.

Earlier...

Darth Xiphos looked over the reports for the attack a House Io Organic Citizen had managed to conduct on the Silver Rest.

She had warned them. Warned them that her faction would never stop punishing the Jedi Order for what they had done in the Third Imperial Civil War. They must have thought she was kidding.

She wasn't, and now boatloads of Jedi were dead. She might have balked at doing this even a few years ago, but watching the results of their apathy on every world scarred by The Bryn'adul had cured her of any remaining pity. They could have stopped all of that. All. Of. It.

She had known it would provoke them. She had very carefully played out her next steps, arranging the details for the trap arranged on Crispor.

If the Jedi had understood the full scope of what she was doing on Crispor they wouldn't have budged.

The tower that had been selected was fourteen stories in height, paid for with blackmail of local officials. They had spent days planting booby traps and hidden explosives and Sonic Turrets, all to ensure maximum casualties, and transmission jammers stolen from enemy star ships, way before the attack on the Silver Rest had actually occured...

And now she was going to give The Jedi Order a bad, bad day.

Xiphos would observe the results via The Battalion's blood-magic.

The Battalion, for her part, wore her hooded ritual robes, scarlet in color, using her corrupted white blood in a reflective basin to passively observe the proceedings.

"Jedi have arrived, as you predicted...and Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor seems to be among them..." her Consort announced. "And he seems to be heading right for the front door

Xiphos blinked. Vanagor. The "Big Guy"...

"He's a straight forward type. He's trying to be a distraction. Not to worry...my children have dealt with his type before... they'll know what to do."

Meanwhile, at the Tower...

"Sorceress..." The Chaplain Nuetralizer known as Mandy called out, clad in a dark blue armorweave kimono. "Perimeter sensors have detected a singular breach."

The Sorceress of Zakuul, a Witch spawned from the flesh of Arianna Belasko, clad in a golden set of robes rose from her meditation in the top of the Tower, next to a number of Model 1 units on their knees also.

Her pale skin and curly, light red hair beset by sharp blue eyes, her Light Side Aura strong and powerful. But she had no more sympathy for the Jedi Order than the Witch she was spawned from.

"We are under attack..." The Sorceress mused. "Condition One, all units."

It had been a frustrating wait for Jedi. They had checked and re checked their security measures, having taken into account the possibility that there might be Force Stealth specialists. They had certainly prepared for Warrior types.

The Organic Citizens, products of Jedi Hunter Training, were all survivors of the Bryn'adul Genocides, as was the operative who had blasted the Silver Rest to hell. They had plenty of motivation to hate Jedi and were not going to be dissuaded from trying to put as many of them and their allies as possible, any more than the artificial citizens were. They each went with their respective teams to key positions in the tower itself and waited, hatred for The Jedi in their hearts, stoked by the Chaplains...

The Model 1's stared as Caltin approached.

Get inside and turn on all the ray shields... One communicated wirelessly to the other.

The other one obeyed. This was not about proving themselves. They were familiar with Caltin's particular tactic.

Force must be met with Force. In Caltin's case, he would have to be stalled and delayed as long as possible though every attempt would be made to kill him where he stood.

The deadly Soldier Droid, covered in dark blue war paint stripes and wearing the scarlet mask of a Rancor, activated his Citizen Energy Sword, the flat, magenta colored blade sliding out with the him of an electric shaver.

It selected something to troll him with.

"Visiting hours are between Ten and Two, and appointments must be called in ahead of schedule." The Model 1 joked maliciously. "So...heard the ol' Silver Rest got a makeover...and I see you've got a mind to do some redecorating. Congratulations on your promotion by the way! We keep track of all the players worth paying attention to, Master Vanagor. Pray tell, are you going to crowdfund to rebuild that piece of crap or do you got Jedi bux stashed away somewhere for these occasions?"

Standing in a large grey office within the domed city of Crispor, an Echani was attempting to convince the local forces to assist in greater number. His stance was pensive and tight, almost rigid after the temple attack.

"I understand your concerns Chief Prefect but our order could use your assistance, you don't know in truth what these IO forces are capable of. They will not spare your city." Taiden himself was not aware fully of the devastation they had wrought, or even why this feud existed, only that it needed to be ended somehow.

Most of the Echani had survived the temple attack somewhat worse for wear. The Keth honorguard were resting and he was only accompanied by one insistent companion, known as Taresa Kae, never leaving the Knight's side and forever whispering in his ear about his next course of action. Poisoned sith words done sweetly.

"And what business is this feud between force sects of ours?" The commander of this particular security wasn't budging easily.

The Kethborn was not the world's best negotiator but he was significantly better than Kei ever would be, not that this said much! When he had visited his homeworld once a very long time ago, the queen had admitted him, then immediately excused herself! Let's hope he had learned lighter words since he was a youngling!

Looking over his way an oversized Bith in a suit leaned on his elbows, very disinterested. Taien was going to have to convince a bureaucrat of the impending danger somehow, or at least get him to care more. Taresa used this excuse to whisper something in his ear, and his stance only tensed more...

The Model 1 Nuetralizer is a symbol of brute force and combined with overwhelming firepower, two of them could take down several squads of even seasoned troopers. Facing a Jedi Master who has seen more action than some Jedi Orders as a whole? That may be a lot to ask for, we’ll see though. The heavy weapons kept a frontal attack out of the question, but speed was what he was after, confusing the targeting sensors until it was too late. Was it the way he wanted to take one of these puppies down? No. Did he care? No.

Did House Io care when they initiated their little attack?

Did they care when they would kill Jedi publicly for no reason?

Does Laertia IO care that no one will listen to her rants?

It was IO that had him here frankly, her incessant rants and childish complaints to anyone who will listen. Well, it was indeed true, no one listened so she was allowed to get this big and now she was going to have to be addressed. It was sad really, but more disgusting as previously brought up, frankly Caltin wanted to come face to rib-cage with her, not for a heart to heart but to basically do what healers should have done long ago.

Someone needs to take the damn Schutta over their knee.

Truth is Laertia was not just damaged, she was outright broken and whatever happened to her can be fixed. The problem is, she just does not want it to be. Caltin did not know her, so frankly he did not care about her feelings or her outlook. Frankly, those she slaughtered needed to receive justice for their needless deaths. She needed to face that, nor “vengeance” or “revenge”, but “justice” and in turn, she needed to be heard as well. That would be addressed too, but right now her message was lost, destroyed in her rage just like this Model 1 was trying to do with him. It was when Caltin was in a position to do something that he realized just what the both of them were capable of comparatively.

The comments this thing made to him? They were amusing, clearly this droid’s AI was not at this level and one of her people, if he Io directly were controlling it somehow. The blade did not affect him at all, as the big guy merely looked at it and held up his right hand, if symbolically. As electrical currents and tendrils quickly wrapped around the assassin droid, Caltin continued on his “tactic” of pushing forward. He was not drawing ”Conservator” or ”Vanguard” right now; he did not need either of them as this was a stall tactic. The big man needed to get inside fast, so as he "reached out" at the droid making a move that should be recognized as a form of anything from "Force throw" to “Force Stasis”, Vanagor was doing something else.

You talk too much. Though I am glad to see you’ve made enough followers to finally listen to you. It’s sad really that no one will listen to what you have to say, just respond to your ridiculous little lashes. Oh well, you had your chance.

Ironic, now he was talking too. It wasn't as if he was stupid. While he knew who he was talking to, the conversation, the stasis, and the "frontal assault" were all ruses. Additionally, he knew that it would be seen as a ruse. He was indeed counting on it, since the big man was using a OLD strategy he had been taught by an old Master of the Order on how to access the droid's mind. He had that in mind. He was intent on getting the access codes of the droids with just a glance at them while searching for other things wasn't Caltin's favorite thing to do. But, he was more than capable of misdirection.

As a side note, you missed another shot. You could have gotten under my skin if you mentioned the Wookiee tribe you nearly slaughtered, the home of theirs you destroyed. That would have gotten to me, but you chose symbolic material things that can be replaced. It;s a wonder you were ever even Knighted. See you soon.

Truth is, Caltin did not completely know what he was getting into, but it was irrelevant, he knew he did not need to hold back. Vanagor was now able to explore the limits of these new abilities of his and if everyone was here to kill him, it meant that there was no choice to offer. Caltin would still give it if given the opportunity but something about this, and Io’s penchant for inorganic followers, he didn’t see it happening. Either way, the massive Jedi Master was sure that he got what he wanted.

The blast came... faster then he had expected... the idea of investigating and asking questions... finding the truth was there but then something opened fire and his hand came up. The shot suspended in the air as the jedi master was looking in the force and listening to Caltin speak... the droid giving a speech but he didn't pay much attention. "Well that happened." The jedi master stayed there for a moment building force energy as he focused on the area around him. Miraluka had developed techniques to sense electronics... something other overlooked for sensing it. He waited to move when he heard Caltin fighting the droids.

The jedi master moved, a death trap was just a situation you weren't trying hard enough in after all... and the force energy in his body fed into his strength. The twin blades on his hips were not required yet. Juyo worked just fine for hand to hand combat if you knew what you were doing. He moved forward with a surge as the force energy resonated into his limbs... one moment there and the next he had planted his feet and slammed a fist just above metal and stone... the force energy rippling in a shockwave off of his fist to slam into the wall. The energy being returned used to power the next strike within a split hairsbreth of a nanosecond.

The force was aiding him and striking fast then most were able see with strikes to dent and crack the metarials. These things were mean to be strong but he traveled around with Sera and Tempest fighting sithspawn. THe jedi master turned to move with the force and send a shockwave as the energy created a superr conducting loop with the wall to become stronger and stronger with more speed.

The Model 1 chuckled.

"Oh, why waste the good material on the Wookiees? Collateral Damage. Just like everyone who goes to my Mother was to your Order when it came to the Sith Empire." The Model 1 replied coldly as Caltin attacked it.

It could feel Caltin trying to get in its head, look for access codes. But it was here that the infamous programming of the Nuetralizers proved itself. Other Jedi had tried this tactic before.

"No one, huh? Don't you mean 'no one who's opinion doesn't matter to self righteous Jedi' ? Tell me, Vanagor, if no one is willing to listen to us, how did your fething clubhouse on Kashyyyk get blown up?"

It's programming was so ingrained, so built into it's very mental and physical architecture that that any attempts to hack it with the Force and reprogram it were virtually a lost cause, and it's Loyalty to Laertia, to House Io, flat out couldn't be removed. It instantly locked him out, though it still suffered some mental fog as a result. It's energy sword drew close to absorb the electricity surrounding it, though the short exposure had already damage a back up power plant Heavily, forcing a shut down of the reactor until repairs could be made, and it damaged it's cryo laser and flamethrower mechanism in its throat, but it was spared a great deal from the rest of it.

"After all...it wasn't a Droid that hit the Rest..." It growled, it's built in Sonic Disruptor snapping popping out of a compartment on its arm and firing right at Vanagor's chest, hoping to kill him instantly, or at least cause severe injury.

Meanwhile, as Syn Syn tried to breach the wall, The Sorceress of Zakuul sensed this and took a knife to her palm, drawing bright, glowing green blood and tracing runes into the floor, chanting a spell for Tutaminis. He had caused cracks in the wall, and had partly broken it, but green, lightning like energy flowed down the tower, a Light Side protective spell that absorbed the terrible shockwave, at the cost of the wall cracking a little more. But it would not buy more than an extra few seconds at best. Syn was getting in one way or another.

The flesh of the Sorceress bubbled and shuddered disgustingly everywhere as she took in the energy, charging her body up more. If Syn wanted in, he could still get in this way if he really worked at it, but this would take only a few seconds longer. If she really wanted to hold him, she would have had to change and meditate almost constantly

Another Model 1 from higher up in the Tower, who had fitted his Battle Scout Rifle with a scope and Explosive Rounds, took aim and fired while Syn tried to breach the wall. But not hat him.

He fired at Sera Inkari Sera Inkari , aiming right at her chest.

Meanwhile

A Chaplain Nuetralizer Model 1, clad in a Dark Blue Kimono entered the gray offices of the Crispor Security Force.

"This Jedi greatly exaggerates when he says we pose a danger to the locals, Sir..." The Chaplain said, her looks pale and skin smooth looking, an unnatural grace to her movements as her blonde hair swished about slightly as she glanced at Taiden Keth Taiden Keth .

"Your instincts are correct to think this feud has nothing to do with you. If anything, the Jedi have placed the locals in danger. Even now, one of them is already attempting to damage a building to forcibly gain entry."

A refuge in audacity-sort of argument, but it was true. Technically...

“Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance..” - Sun Tzu

Maybe it was just a way to get in his head, a way to flaunt her new sudden fame, whatever it didn’t matter at all. Io had the taste of power and she was not going to give it up. What mattered was she was still thinking at the level of a Jedi Knight and not a Jedi Master. She was more concerned about getting a killing blow and not a master stroke. He could be wrong, this could be a really good AI to a droid set, but that was neither here nor there at this point. The would-be killer was set to draw and quarter him, so Caltin had work to do.

He got what he wanted, the codes, not all of them, but he was not looking for all of them. He just wanted it to look that way in case these things had some unforeseen ability to detect what he could do. That was all the way of the despot, let them play their game, and take what they give you. No “mental fog”, his connection to the Force was not the same as it once was, exponentially more unique. There were no “lock outs” at none that he was aware of, they could have been that good. The truth is the massive Jedi Master did not stick around long enough looking to really get past what he wanted and he dropped out. The electrical currents being absorbed were just as useless as they were little more than symbolic. The blade, though, looked to be something he would have to pay a lot of attention to. That along with the rifle looked to make this a more than formidable foe once it decided to begin fighting..

That blast to his chest? It was powerful and did indeed not only knock him on his “posterior” but several feet back. The damage though was little more than reddened skin and torn cloth. Caltin’s body was rebooted at the Wellspring of Life on the atomic level. The very birthplace of the Force rerouted his mind to accept the Force at the electron level and not the neuron (thus the electrical centered abilities) so that was why the big man could literally laugh off the droid’s “blast.''Laugh. Not smirk, Not smile, Not chuckle, Not Chortle, Laugh.

My turn? My turn.

Pulling ”Conservator” from over his back, the massive Jedi Master engaged the thumb activation button and soon the Sovereign Gold/Blue light blade snapped open with a hiss and ignited brilliantly. The enhanced cutting capabilities of the crystals behind the saber allowed Caltin to worry very little over what the droid might be made of. His weapons could cut through Tetherite, Phrik, even Beskar…

I’ll try and get whatever else I need off of this thing after I kill it.

The code he picked up was the access code to the IFF frequency that House Io was using. What this meant was that any and all sensors used would not discern between Crispor locals, House Io, SJC, or whoever. That meant that no one could get the drop on another and those the element of surprise was equal for all. All he had to do was implant it.

"Hmmm." THe jedi master said it as he looked at the force barrier... tutaminis like this required power and even in the case of a shadowfang it was a rare trick. He smirked to himself and stayed there for a moment turning his head as a shot went off towards Sera... one hand coming out as he held it feeling the energy of the blast... the heat and power behind it. The other jedi master was fighting one of the droids and making a show of it before the jedi shadow spoke. "Release control until situation is handled." The armored section of his belt adorned with crystals gleamed blue and the light faded. The silver shadows were deception, assassination, hiding ones talents. The covenant shadows who were liked for killing and using the darkside were corrupted and didn't understand what they were trying to fake.

"You should start running." He said it looking up the tower as his force limitors dropped, pressure spreading out in the air and suffocating in. The aura was akin to heavy gravity chambers as it was worn like a mantle upon the shoulders. The wellspring changing him when he and Iella ventured into it and it had made him more human then what he had been. Eight hundred years of training and presence in the force as he trained. The jedi master looked up with one hand going at the barrier tutaminis was for energy and that could include kinetic but like most shields slow moving targets... like a hand could pass through and he touched the wall. A cheat method but he held his other hand out and the suspended energy bolt slowly dissipated into the palm of his hand.

"Tell me child." He spoke pushing energy into the wall beyond the shield but letting his voice resonate and vibrate into the stone. "When you made this war because of your hate, Did you set out to harm the innocent? The force has put you in its grace and you have squandered it. Now you are desperately constructing technological terrors. You've never been able to conquer the other jedi and you will not be able to." He said it and was allowing the force to charge the walls with kinetite energy... compressed electrical energy at the microscopic levels to pack the space between molecules as it compacted and compacted.

Using the shield itself as a barrier to absorb the impact energy that would be directed towards himself when he exploded the kinetic energy forward to try and crack a large hole in the wall by both destroying the bonds holding the materials and exploding them. Tutaminis would handle the explosion sending it up to the one doing it giving them a boost for sure but it would compromise the fortifications themselves. A win win scenario as he channeled the force into his own body that gleamed with blue shimmering lights. His own full body for protection in a barrier like he had fought Sera with when she tried to stab him.

"I think that's our cue," said Brea.

"Let's give him a little bit more time. Besides, I've always wanted to watch one in action."

Trista watched as Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor made his entrance, and she wasn't disappointed. It was one thing to hear of the jedi or see them in the holos - it was entirely different matter to see them in person, especially from a homeworld as isolated from the greater galaxy as her own. She marveled at his confidence - his opponents didn't seem to be run of the mill criminal scum that she had encountered before. I may not have his power, but the Concord is really trying to get me pretty close to it, aren't they? She shrugged her shoulders and felt the power armor around her immediately try to assist. The bulky blaster cannon she currently wielded would have quickly fatigued her before, yet with the armor it felt as light as a feather. It had only taken nearly two weeks of training to get comfortable with the suit, and part of her didn't want to give it up now.

"Ma'am?"

Brea's voice came in almost irritated. Yet Trista couldn't blame her. Now that the conflict had started, it would only be a matter of time before they realized that a quartet of power armor wearing soldiers were standing outside a wall. They were exposed. Their greatest advantage though was surprise. They weren't using an existing entrance - they were making one from scratch.

"Go ahead. Let's move."

The other woman tapped a button on the detonator in her hand. The gray putty of the plasticene thermite formed a brief, flaming rectangle around before fizzling out just as quickly as it had lit up. Trista quickly kicked in the newly formed duracrete slab into the building, forming an impromptu doorway which would probably make several lawyers unhappy. But she didn't care. With her blaster cannon pointed forward, she quickly advanced into the breach, followed by a trio of her faithful hapans and a handful of other Rangers.

Personal Equipment (accompanying hapan soldiers are similarly equipped)

Fully armed and armoured, full support behind her and an infiltration objective. Just like old times, Okera mused as she prepared herself for what was to come. Ammo where it was supposed to be, PAK, flashbangs, kukri, yup everything checked and accounted for. It had been a while since Okera had made her first appearance and whilst she was welcomed into the group, they had still yet to tell the whole circumstance of why she was here, and possible conflict of interests that may come up. Currently, the woman was on her own, positioned atop one of the many drones, coordinating with the rest of the assault team. Whilst she could descend into the tower such an idea seemed like suicide with how quickly she'd get swarmed, however working with the other teams to breach in slow and steady was much better.
As such Okera waited for the go signal before spreading her arms and leaping off of the top of the dome, suit immediately catching the wind as she descended in a slow glide towards the tower, two floors above where a power armour team was breaching. Her objective was to cut off ambush angles and escape from the team below. All going well the breached team would breach the same time she does and would be able to secure the first floor of this section whilst Okera took the third, then hammer and anvil those on the second. Though part of her wasn't sure who was the hammer and who was the anvil in this situation as the togruta could perform both. Right on queue, everything kicked off, the breaching charges went off, the arrester pack activated and Okera shot a flash bang through the window before entering herself just as the smoke dissipated from the detination.
"Republic army, yield!" No that wasn't quite right, oh well old habits. Energy shield on, blaster up, sweep your corners and find cover. Stun anyone that doesn't comply and start moving through quickly. With one force pushing from underneath and now a heavily armoured togruta bursting in the OPFOR were very much caught off guard and offered little resistance
"Consta, friendly reminder to you and your team I am two floors above you, moving to group up on second, over" With a stun shot it was much easier to deal with targets, even if they yielded it was a simple quick shot and they'd be down for a bit. Well baring a 1 in 1000000000 chance of a heart defect but better than the alternative.
Okera moved further in, providing cover for the team below, though she did mutter about overcomplicating things with the trial incursion. Oh well it was fun

Time ticking by, futures never ceased or slowed, cursed to wander. For her bargain to save souls she had condemned, she would see the results of her actions, born in their children's children. Another sat inside these walls, making the same mistakes she had.

Another life ago Sera had felt Beskar bullet pierce her chest, a sniper claiming her lung. Defending their One Sith emperor against an overwhelming amount of Jedi. For our Valha here opposites reversed. Sensing shot before it came, her orange saber staff ignited, and in a Kerrigan Cartwheel, almost worthy of Natoline's name, Kintan's priestess dipped her hand down and gracefully twirled aside.

Drawn upward, her blue eyes deepened. Guilt stirred in the first shot, her farseeing rose up wanting to claim her attention, to take her from now into paths of futures that she was ever drawn to see.

Syn's hand had reached out to hold the energy...

You've never been able to conquer the other jedi and you will not be able to."

…she smiled and stood stronger in her faith, words, sight..

His own full body for protection in a barrier like he had fought Sera with when she tried to stab him.

... and deeds. Strong emotion in her eyes, brought welling fire around her aura. She didn't fall into farseeing, guilt, or remorse. To greet her past Syn had chosen what she needed to hear and see. By her side, flames began to form, heat pooling, and oxygen ignited. Eyes awash with her force potential, for only the second time in her life she had found her own avatar, Kintan's priestess raised her hands upward. Just like she had that day all those years ago when she had made the wrong choice.

"Jedi are not perfect, we have flaws, we make mistakes and we live with them." She could live with hers.

Living Flame

Scaling up their tower towards the shooters were two small entities born of fire, scorching along its surface toward the top. They would not last forever because she was not yet a Master. Fire given life and sent at her behest, welling heat behind their passage. They burned like small orange suns above them, guiding their way.

Now she was ready.

One whispering Echani Kae in his ear pouring poison in, and now an opposing diplomat beside him. Taiden found himself with a definite challenge to face. Taresa Kae Taresa Kae regarded the newcomer with amusement but showed none of it, keeping the perfect Echani pretext of considered calm. Like Taiden both gave little away in expression or tone. Only their body language spoke volumes.

His body language was already tense, but half bowed respectfully to the Chaplain droid, eyes most definitely open. With the slightest change of his stance, he walked so he was facing both the Chaplain and the Prefect. This had indicated for Taresa to watch the door, just by how he stood. Taresa nodded and went outside reluctantly leaving the three of them alone, causing her trouble elsewhere.

Although understandably reluctant to commit to doing anything, either way, the Prefect was already at the Chaplains position diplomatically. The Bith nodded, its black eyes considering his response.

On Taiden, clear Keth silver sword gleamed across his back, saber hilt by his hip, synthweave cloak with hood, dressed in a blinding white purity from hood to boots, with some survival items across his belt and Echani wrist device. There was little said while he regarded her words, Taiden was a patient man and clearly, the Jedi that the IO hunted, there were few more obvious Jedi in the world than Taiden Keth. After a minute he responded.

"The danger is true," he admitted openly, "having this feud on your world is a danger, and it will always be here while their forces make a home to strike at others from your worlds." His stance shifted to be less tense, if only because Taresa was no longer working her Sith magic on him in proximity. "We never ask for anything from those we seek to protect, we have as little or as much involment in your worlds as you wish. After today, say the word and you will never see us again in your office asking for your help or offering it."

He turned toward the Chaplain, "but those who seek to harm others, whatever reason she now gives, those who slaughter without thought or care, will always draw attention that you understandably do not want." There was no obvious emotion from the Knight, still no facial expression changed, only subtle cues a droid might pick up on how stood or moved. He considered the striking of the temple at their celebrations a grave dishonor.

Not bad for a Kethborn, better than Echani queen's throwing him out immediately!

The Sorceress of Zakuul scoffed at Syn Syn 's assertion.

Tell me, old one... The Sorceress asked calmly, non accusingly, feeling the ancient power of the Shadow in question, her own light side aura pulsing in the Force differently from his and that of Sera Inkari Sera Inkari

Was it the Jedi's goal to murder innocents when they left the entire Galactic South East to the Bryn'adul to finish off Carnifex's empire? Our recruits are the survivors of those genocides The Jedi enabled the Bryn'adul to get away with.

She silently directed the Model 1's to back away from trying to shoot at him and his apprentice. They would breach the building soon enough, and then directed Human Citizens to began using samples of her magic infused blood to create runes all over her particular chamber and in connecting halls for a special ritual, one which would spread out and take effect at a certain point. She felt the heat in the building raise steadily and began whispering old Light Side sorceries to try and weaken and extinguish them, and to try and weaken the being that had generated them.

Our war is not to conquer, but to punish The Jedi for the evils they permitted by not setting aside their feuds. You created us. We literally wouldn't exist if the Jedi Order had done the right thing.

Two of the Mercenary B1's and a few Organic Survivors of the Bryn Genocides, a Human, a Barabel, and a Kubaz all armed with Sonic Disruptors, having been trained to hide their minds to make it somewhat harder for Force Users to sense them than normal, began to make their way down slowly, as the building shuddered as it was breached. They were to engage him and Sera. The Io Series Laser Carbines carried by the Mercenary Droids were purpose built to oppose Force Users, albeit Non-Lethally, their bolts able to bend around Lightsaber blades, the circuitry of the rifle altering the energy envelope of the Blaster Bolt in a strange way, that made it more difficult for Force Adepts to catch or grasp with telekinesis.

Two such B1 Units were in the same area as Okera Vekra Okera Vekra , and she had already stunned an Organic Citizen. So they waited around a turn as she moved, using sign language to communicate their plan. They hadn't spent days turning this place into a death trap not to prepare for contingencies. Unexpected alterations to the plan. She HAD caught them off guard however...

But not as off guard as she would have hoped.

As Okera came into range, they decided to attack, one using it's built in Advanced Gravity Generator to try and slow her movements to what would hopefully be a near crawl while the other fired it's Non-Lethal Carbine, very good against shields and armor, but not directly at her. It instead fired at wall surfaces, the Bowcaster tech within allowing the shots to ricochet off surfaces in unexpected angles that would hopefully connect with her while keeping it free of return fire.

"Make us yield, motherfether!" One of the Mercenary Droids shouted with the preprogrammed voice of a Fett Clone (Morrison, not Baker), prepared to dive backward in case she used a grenade to try and flush them from cover if their attack didn't work. But they were trying to trick her into trying to tank the shots if her armor was capable of it and get closer, because there was a Sonic Turret hidden in the floor yet she was tantalizingly out of reach of its firing angle.

Meanwhile, as Trista Consta Trista Consta and her team advanced into the breach, The Model 1 units a few floors above ordered a pull back to let that breaching team get in further...no one was to engage them until the moment was juuuussst right.

Trista and her team would, for the moment, have free reign to advance further. They wouldn't even face scant resistance for now...

In the meantime, the Model 1 observed the blast had some effect, blasting Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor backward. Yet all it got was a reddened chest and laughter.

Still...it showed Caltin was not invincible. He could be hurt. He began relaying this data wirelessly to the other Model 1's

The Model 1, instead of showing anger, decided to laugh with him, but used its vocal mimicry to imitate Caltin's voice while doing so, it's Psychological Warfare protocol seeking to get under his skin yet again

(Cutaway of the Predator laughing before detonation)

It saw him whip out Conservator. It analyzed the weapon, able to tell he was quite experienced.

"Nice toothpick. I hope you were in such good humor when you saw all them Jedi crushed under the rubble..." it taunted, still using his voice as it advanced with surprising speed.

It targeted the single most obvious weakspot about Caltin's weapon...the length of the hilt itself.

"By the way, how's the Wife?" it asked maliciously with his voice. House Io had indeed been studying him from afar...The House knew way more than it should. "Should have guessed you like man-eaters...Ooooo, I'm getting all tingly just thinking about her..."

Given that this enemy Caltin had never met before knew that much it was clear Xiphos had eyes everywhere. Just like it knew he would likely take the implied death threat to his loved one very personal.

But then again, when it came to House Io and the Jedi, it was always, always personal. And they sought to make it as personal as possible. Would it amp Caltin up, motivate him to turn the Model 1 attacking him into silly putty or melted scrap with his Shazam powers? Probably. That was the point.

If your enemy is of Choleric Temper, seek to anger him.

It was not expecting the attack to actually succeed, though the slashing attack was crisp and elegantly delivered, with strength of a Wookiee behind the blow, attempting to damage or even split the hilt in two. This was a fishing expedition. It knew that by saying what it had just said, and the voice it had said it with, it had likely signed it's own death warrant.

But Model 1 units are children of Xiphos, born ready to die. It prepared to be sent to the Great Droid Boogie, shiny and chrome, making peace with what were likely to be its final moments.

All the data on its end was being transferred to the other Nuetralizers within the building for study, so better countermeasures could be developed once he was inside...

Meanwhile...

The Chaplain calmly observed Taiden Keth Taiden Keth as he argued the feud was dangerous to them.

"House Io has no interest in your world, sir. As for making it a home, we aren't even gonna be staying longer than today. To be blunt: You have nothing we couldn't obtain easily, and safely, elsewhere."

The Chaplain turned to glance Taiden over.

"A convenient promise for you to make, Jedi...and a convenient claim to make of being a protector. You can't even protect yourselves anymore."

(Cutaway of Joker burning the accountant on the pile of money.)

"Not even in the heart of your territory. During a celebration, no less, can you protect yourselves. And pray tell, what is there to celebrate? The Genocide of Lao-Mon? The Jedi's abject failure to protect Csilla before that? Teta falling to the Maw? The Bryn'adul burning every world they came across and driving many of the survivors into our arms? Survivors who lost cultures, families, history, often right in front of them? Survivors who desperately needed the Jedi and the forces of the galaxy to defend them, yet all the Jedi could focus on was helping Imperial Fascists take out the tenth Sith Empire? Imperial Fascists who ended up turning on and betraying the governments you served just like my Mother told you they would?"

She turned to face the official. "If you ask me, it doesn't sound like they're much good for protecting anyone these days. They hide behind their claims of benevolence to deflect focus from their dishonorable behavior. But we see them for what they are: Liars. Cretins. Sith-Hungry."

Her disdain for the Jedi showed itself in every twitch of artificial muscle.

"I counsel people every day who lost people to the Bryn'adul. To the Maw. People who watched their babies get smashed under the boots of Bryn Juggernauts. The Jedi didn't protect their worlds. What makes you think they'll protect yours? And what's holding him to his word that you won't be bothered again? You're in their territory. They can come and play hero any time they get ready and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it. Every world in their jurisdiction is nothing but an opportunity for them to feel good about themselves. They'll be back, whether even they want to admit it or not."

She was waiting for him to make a move. But he had no idea what he was dealing with...

The force sight guided him as he waited for a moment standing there but holding a small smirk on his face. "People die and the galaxy keeps spinning child. THe Bryn and the sith were a threat... the jedi made a choice to go after the malignant one, it might not seem fair but it was a choice same as your choice to kill people who have never met you, have never heard your name or heard your cause. They might have even agreed with you but you were too blind to see such things." He stood there looking at the others in the force... creating force runes was easier to see and he didn't need to touch their minds to know where they were. Their scents, their heartbeats... the feeling of their intent.

He walked forward looking at the beings with a small tilt of his head. The belt of his armored pants remaining there as he tapped a small casing. The protective shielding of the shadow robes. Ionite for devices and electronics in weapons. Tech disabling was one of the purposes while he maintained the power for blaster shots. The robes easing the strain of force use. "And who child decides what is right? You, the arrogance to put your opinion over others." His words were less as he stepped forward loking at the living beings... droids were one thing but he would give a chance. "Don't." He said it but moved forward, not breaking stride

"Your war is on based arrogance. That makes it evil. That makes you just another version of the sith."

Smart Machines…great,,,

There was no getting around this. If this was the “Floor Model”, the first wave he knew he would have to deal with, then Caltin was in for a fight. It’s not like he was expecting to just walk in and beat everything to a mass of metal, screws, bolts and wiring… okay it WAS like that, but he was still surprised. It was actually rather amusing to listen to this droid talk, either someone was on the other end reading his Wookeepedia page word for word, or this AI was a lot more layered than expected.

HEY OLD MAN! YOU ANNOYED AT THESE THINGS YET?

His sudden bellow was not directed at the droid, though his eyes were on it, but at Syn Syn . A Jedi, actually once Dark Knight, and rival though long since redeemed. They were “frenemies” you might say, clearly on the same side, clearly would give their life defending the other, but clearly enjoying the art of finding ways to potentially annoy the other even if they rarely worked. This was a tactic as well, sort of a way to analyze more of the methods of this droid.

The Model 1’s attempt at mockery through laughter did not fall on deaf ears, but it did loft an eyebrow as the big man was surprised by it. Sort of a “Really? You really thought that would get to me?” sort of visual retort. Again, Vanagor was not certain whether this was an AI, or someone using the droid as a remote unit, thus the instinctive exchange.

The Model 1 was fast, and still trying to distract him with cheap heat, but Vanagor, once he had his lightsaber out, was a Master (no pun intended) at staying on task. This was the last stage of combat for him which means he was now taking this fight as seriously as he should. Maybe the droid could have gotten to the lightsaber, maybe it couldn’t have anyway. Either way the big man switched to a reverse grip once the droid committed. Spun and jumped straight upward as it advanced and drove the blade down hard aimed at what looked to be the spinal area of what a human might call their shoulder blades. If this were successful, the impending slash would bifurcate the wiring controls that would run the arms, rendering them useless.

I was in even better humor when I pulled many of them out. As for my wife? She’s good. I’m sure you know by now. Redeemed Dark Lordess of the Sith. She is quite the man-eater though, it’s what makes the marriage interesting and fun. It’s too bad you can’t experience that sort of thing.

No, Caltin Anselmo Vanagor was not “invincible.” In fact the jab about his wife did indeed give him a moment of pause, but just a moment. Any more and there might be more of an opening. Ultimately the massive Jedi Master let the comment go because it was just that, a comment, and on top of that, Chrysa was no slouch, she could more than handle herself, and if she couldn’t HK-88 was never far away from her. No sense letting his temper take hold, not yet anyway.

After all, he was fishing too.

Walking around to face his would-be killer, he disarmed of its weapons, and then symbolically extended a hand as he was already lifting it through the Force. As he slowly began to ball that hand into a fist, the big man made sure to look as bothered, and angry as possible. He wasn’t, but he could look that way. This was a showing for all of House Io to see, those that might be watching anyway.

You did well, but you will have to excuse me. I have a building to get into and some floors to climb.

Once the droid was crushed, the big man made his way into the foyer. Things were locked tighter than a drum. He could wait, and probably would end up having to, for a slicer to run up and counter this, but he had his own kit. Who knows? They may be laying the trap and just let him walk in?

The team entered with no apparent opposition...yet. Her HUD quickly began to analyze and scan the area. Yet the office chairs, desks, and computers in the room that blocked their advance didn't seem dangerous - They seemed pedestrian and maybe even cheap. One of us is going to trip over one of these and I'm going to have make a casualty report with my luck...Even as she ruefully smile, she shook the ridiculous thought away. Had their plan worked? She wasn't entirely sure, but she knew it was a maxim to advance quickly during the initial assault phase, as far as one could before taking any resistance. The hapan quickly stepped forward and out of the way, letting the rest of her team filter in. A feminine voice filtered in through her com headset.
"Consta, friendly reminder to you and your team I am two floors above you, moving to group up on second, over"
Despite the fact that the togruta couldn't see her, she nodded out of habit.

"Understood. No opposition encountered here yet, we'll move to link up with you as soon as we can."

She briefly hesitated as she switched comms to the channel used by her platoon.

"Squad One Fireteam Besh, for now, I need you to all to stay behind to guard this room as a potential entry and exit. Everyone else, let's keep moving forward."

Rather than breaking through another wall, they actually used the door this time. It slid open to reveal a large corridor, part of which was now littered by droid parts thanks to Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor 's latest efforts. The woman offered a silent nod to the big man - a gesture of respect to someone she didn't really know. Did he prefer to be called Master Jedi? Did he want to be bothered or interrupted right now? She could only think of the hundreds of helmed soldiers he had fought alongside during his time as a jedi...she guessed that she was just another faceless soldier among their ranks in his eyes. Not that building a reputation or chasing after glory mattered now.

There appeared to be no further resistance in the halls on the first floor, and that caused her to frown. They knew they were facing down a jedi, a high-ranking powerful jedi, and that's all they sent? There's got to be more. Is the resistance light because we caught them unaware? Or because we're being drawn into a trap? She looked around briefly eying a turbolift before searching further to find a staircase just off to the side.

"Everyone knows the drill. Take the stairs."

The troops bounded forward, in a half-ordered fashion. That part irritated her martial mind, but it couldn't be helped - stopping now to better organize everyone would give the enemy more time to prepare. She pushed her way to the near the front, half through physical strength and half out of the deference shown to her by her subordinates as they entered the stairwell. She raced up the stairs and slammed open the door onto the second floor, letting Brea take the point position as she followed directly behind her with her weapon at the low ready. She tongue toggled her comlink.

"Okera, we've just reached the second floor. Where are you?"
Personal Equipment (accompanying hapan soldiers are similarly equipped)

Bones... several hundred years into the future and here she was fighting bones again. Then it talked
"Oh come on, really! Of course, I'm fitting bones that have the voice of a clone. Not quite my husband's but still" This was a very weird encounter, still, Okera was very much a veteran in this field. One droid popper, pulled the pin and cracked the fuse, gently rolling it along the floor firing off some shots to hide her intent before moving back into cover. They were aware that the droids were bouncing the shots to get around her breaching shield and stun her, Okera was not going to push, and although her grenade didn't beep, 'Because it's fucking stupid,' there was the possibility of the droids noticing.

So they did the sensible thing and pulled back slightly, cut off from advancing by the droids and fully aware that storming in was the quickest way to die. Also, the gravity spike lowering her down was a mild inconvenience, in the same way, an open hole on a spaceship is a mild inconvenience.

"Consta, slight issue, got two bones keeping me well pinned. I'm unable to push and sweep but I'll figure something out in a moment" Well maybe the popper would work, most likely the droids pulled back as intended. On the plus side at least she had a comfortable position to dig into, and bones usually made for good conversation. All else fails pull out the cards and decide it that way.
