- Structure Name: The Silent Temple
- Classification: Temple
- Location: Teth, Baxel Sector, Wild Space
- Affiliation: The Je'daii Order, previously The Silent Conclave and Qae Shena
- Accessibility: Private Access, Hidden. Teth is a world that is mostly unexplored, and the Temple cannot readily be stumbled upon without prior knowledge of its location.
- Security: Very Minor: It is protected by the fact that it is hidden away from all save a small handful. There is also a small group of individuals tasked with keeping the Temple and its inhabitants safe, but it is such a small task force that in the grand scheme of things its rather insignificant.
- Description: Lost within the Jungles of Teth, and set upon a rocky outcrop which bleeds water from its ancient foundation, The Silent Temple is a wonder to behold. It is formed from innumerable smaller structures, each connected through the mountain itself, and reaches up toward the sky. It features pagoda-style rooftops and stark white walls that never seem to lose their purity. There does not seem to be any direct route up to the Temple, and while it may seem as though it would be obvious to spot it blends remarkably well with its natural surroundings.
The Silent Temple:
Further Overview on the Temple
- The Secluded Hangar: Information on the Hangar. It is hidden, and requires access codes in order to be revealed.
- The Silent Archives: Information on the Archives. It contains replicas of Qae Shena and Asha Seren's Holocrons, among others. Information on almost every Force Sect past and present. It is sometimes referred to as Kaleth.
- The Crystal Gardens: A small, secluded area of land upon the plateau, shrouded with all manner of flora. It is here that both students and Masters come to meditate, and where their connection to the Force is deemed the strongest and most sincere. Small crystals grow here, though their use is not yet known.
- The Sunken Courtyard: A term which encompasses all of the internal walls of the Temple that doesn't pertain to the buildings themselves. Often quiet, with the occasional bridge over springs.
- The Halls of Healing: Also referred to as The Mahara Ward, in reference to the old Tho Yor Mahara Kesh.
- The Star Forge: No, not that Star Forge. This is what is otherwise referred to as Vur Tepe, a great Forge within which the Je'daii and their predecessors constructed Force-Imbued weaponry.
- The Workshop: A long, single-story building with high vaulted ceilings. Sometimes referred to as Anil Kesh. It is here that mechanics and engineers tinker, and most repairs are carried out.
- The Halls of Training: Otherwise known as Stav Kesh, it is here that Je'daii come to test their mettle. All manner of environments can be simulated within the training rooms, to encourage Sokan. Some even have permanent features such as vast sand pits, boulders, or pools of water.
- The Bath House: One of the smaller buildings, set close to The Star Forge and powered by its residual heat, this is a place for Je'daii to clean off after a long day, or simply wind down. It consists of large sunken bathtubs that reach waist height when standing. There are 6 of these 'tuns', which look more like small pools, throughout the Bath House. There are also saunas, to help with tense muscles.
- The Dreamscape: Named such by Asha Hex, though its formal name is simply the Dormitories, this building makes up 90% of the Temple's sleeping quarters. Each room typically holds one individual, though a few two-man-bunks do exist. Much like the training rooms, an almost tangible image can be projected into these rooms to aid with relaxation and sleep. This includes a simulation which will make it feel as though the Je'daii is floating in a vast ocean, lost within space, or lay within a tranquil forest.
- The Halls of Learning: Effectively little more than classrooms, the Halls of Learning, or Padawan Kesh as some call it, is a place for theoretical learning. While the Silent Archive is in place for solitary research, the Halls of Learning are a place for the Je'daii to come together and share what they know, to openly debate. All Je'daii regardless of rank can host a lesson here.
- The Council Chambers: While no Council has sat within the Silent Temple for a great many years, their chambers still remain.
- The Meeting Hall: A place for holoconferences, and the Order at large to convene.
- The Halls of Astrogation: Includes the Flight Simulation Chambers, and houses the Galactic Star Map
- The Halls of Creative Arts: Includes Art Studios, An Auditorium, Dance Studios, and other such creative outlets
The Silent Temple was created by the Nautolan Master Qae Shena, as a private sanctuary. It housed everything he could ever possibly need to facilitate, and was placed in a way that it would remain hidden from the greater Galaxy.
With time, however, need arose for this most secretive enclave to open its doors. The Jedi Order of the Galactic Republic had carried out a great number of misdeeds, leading to the secession of a Jedi splinter group. They named themselves the Silent Conclave, and with Qae's blessing they settled upon Teth and made the Silent Temple their home.
The group remained small and close-knit, with only a handful being granted the coordinates of the Temple and the access codes required to utilize the hangar. The rest were children or students, with little need for such sacred knowledge.
Before long, cracks began to form within the Conclave. Murmurings of dissent arose in the aftermath of an attack, and the Voices of the Conclave could not agree upon the correct course of action. While they had their Article, tenets which documented their core beliefs, some felt that it was not enough.
While these tears mended with time, the Conclave evolved and soon became too big to manage in its original form. The Jedi took their leave of the Silent Temple, and eventually evolved into what the history books would now dub The Levantine Sanctum. And while Qae reclaimed what had once been his home, the Nautolan eventually walked away from it too.
The Temple remained empty for quite some time, gathering dust on the objects which had simply been abandoned there. This was until an avid student of Qae's took it upon himself to retrace his Master's steps. Teio saw the Silent Temple as a place he needed to protect and upkeep, quickly making it his home.
And in his care, it became so much more than the home of a Jedi Master, or the Temple of the Silent Conclave. It became the Halls of Balance, a depository of knowledge collected from all walks of life. But it was the Je'daii Order, a secret venture that Qae had undertaken alongside fellow Jedi Asha Seren, and others, that truly piqued his attention.
Teio trained, studied, and grew within the Temple, maintaining it for several years, all without ever running into another individual. That was until a girl following the same steps he had ventured upon the Temple using information she had acquired from Asha Seren's personal collection.
The girl, Jyn, joined Teio within the Silent Temple and when the boy eventually left to continue his Je'daii Journey she picked up where he left off. She watched over the various wings, brought them back into a more polished state, organized the Archives, and all the while continued to learn the way of the Bendu.
But the Force had other plans, and it did not take long for Jyn to be pulled away from her duties.
In the time which followed, The Silent Temple lingered in a suspended state, untouched to time. Nobody discovered it, none of the old Jedi returned to it, nor the caretakers, and it would remain that way until the Je'daii Order was reborn under a new banner. Jyn led the select few individuals to the sacred halls, and there they remain... Learning the lost wisdom of the Je'daii of old.
A Council was formed, like that of old, made up of some of the brightest minds the Je'daii knew, men and women who had traveled across the Galaxy in search of the union which had been formed. For so long they had tread a path of solitude, teaching themselves, and sometimes students, without guidance.
The halls came to life the day of the Gathering, and while many chose to remain independent, and in turn left the Temple, more remained to reforge the Order as it had been in the days of Qae, and even further back to the emergence of the Tho Yor.
