The Silent War: Tatooine (PM to join)

Curtis crouched down to inspecting the armour, noting that it held similarities to ancient Sith garb. The dead man held within was somewhat off putting, as if he'd been frozen and left to rot. The lightsaber showed rank though, these were not average honour guards. Pulling the lightsaber to him with the force, Curtis mused over its design, simple and functional, not flashy in the slightest. Maybe a mass produced design type, to match the armour.

"If you're that worried about me, I'd hate to see how you'd react to my master." He joked, before rising to his feet and clipping the saber to his belt. He then turned to the Twi-Lek as she spoke, about both the dead man and watching him. "Frozen seems like the right way of putting it, although I've never heard of a technique that could do so for so long that the person would die." He paused and looked back into the darkened corridor they'd entered from, he felt like they were being watched. "If that's what the two of you want, then you may watch me."

Vulpesen's eyes scanned the room, focusing on the walls and any structures within. The clattering of bones and armor, while worrying and certainly worthy of his attention, did not monopolize his focus. This wasn't the sort of place where people died of old age. If they were dead, odds were that something killed them. "A standing morichro? Perhaps they were killed before they had the chance to fall. Truthfully, I think our dark friend here is the least of our concerns. Whatever this is, it doesn't seem to like sith very much." His boot nudged a piece of sith armor that had fallen by his feet.

"Either way, I'd rather not become the next unfortunate victim of whatever did this." The Valde's hand went to his light saber and his eyes closed. With the mundane features of the room, it was time to move beyond. His presence extended, filling and searching every crevice in the room. The galaxy had a heartbeat, and now, he was tapping into it, hoping to find another. A spec of power or a soft light of life. He wasn't sure what he would find, or if there was anything to find, but it was better than letting whatever malevolent evil was here to get the jump on him.

Dorin watched [member="Vulpesen"] quietly as he reached out with the force, and closed his own eyes in concentration. In the end, he discovered the same results that the glowing eyed man had. They were alone. Whatever had caused this had long departed. The only life forms to be detected were mere rodents, creatures seeking shelter within the compound. Dorin picked up a vambrace from the fallen corpse, and looked it over in the dim light. "It's....old. Few centuries at least. Were it not for the signs of disarray, I would expect this to be a form of tomb." He looked to the group. "Sith origin, Sith Stronghold, Sith connection? It makes sense that they were placed here as part of a ceremonial burial. Guardians for the afterlife. But....with the chaos around us, as well as the positions the corpses are in..."

Dorin stepped around the room, holding his glowrod up and illuminating key points. "It would seem there was an attack. Armor's gone undisturbed since then, and like I said, it's old, so it happened a while ago. But, if you draw your attention to the positions and angles..." He stepped back towards the group, holding his arms out front of him in a cone, perfectly encompassing all the corpses. "Who or whatever killed these men did so simultaneously. All of them are shielding themselves from this exact point." Dorin looked around at the group, and said, "I feel it may be possible that we are not the only ones to have come looking for this."

She approached a figure, such old armor, half a mind wished she wasn't currently looking for something else or she would take it for a little research or possibly try and fix the armor up as a show piece however at the moment something was aloof

you know what they say sometimes, the master is worse then the apprentice

She offered a smirk before looking towards dorin, moving over towards him as she looked at the little cone her mentioned that encompassed the figures standing

who or whatever had to of been something much more powerful then us...then again the prize of immortality....

A frown crossed her face before melting away, this was something stardust had never seen before and she had a feeling she eljld find out today just what did it

Avin looked around the tomb, his own knowledge of Sith history was not up to the grade of the rest of them. He now wished that he had spent more time training his mind in the library's than his body with a lightsaber. Alas, it seemed the others were able to pick up on the details and he tried to follow the conversation as best he could. It seemed whatever had taken place here before was not that of a peaceful burial. Such was the way of the Sith Order.

He looked out further around the room for anything else they might have missed, a doorway perhaps or another way deeper into the compound. After all, he wanted to be out of this place as soon as possible. The darkness seemed to constantly be pushing towards him its dark tendrils working their way into his mind and grabbing at his brain. Avin allowed himself to center again and maintain the superconductive loop between himself and the darkness around him, there was power in this whirlpool of force for sure yet he had to maintain his state of vaapaad if to walk through uncorrupted.

"It seems whatever happened here was most likely to protect the secrets that this place holds, I suggest we find a way further in. After all, the longer we stay here the longer the evil has to set in and corrupt those among us."

As he finished talking the Jedi gave a stern glance towards the young sith that was accompanying them.
