The Simplest Weapon

"Well, something simple I imagine. After turning to the light there was little I could do effectively, but.." Kahlil trailed off as he lifted the staff, staring at the weapon intently. He didn't say anything else to [member="Gherron Dragonsflame"] as he closed his eyes, focusing again the Force around him. As he had been shown long ago he touched upon the Force, whipping up the air around him in the process. It was wild, untamed. Unlike what Kahlil usually did, but that was only because his focus was on two separate ideas.

Slowly he began filling the staff with the Force much has he had just learned to do, this time trying to combine the other skill with it. It was.. A long process. One that had him feeling rather drained by the end of it. The young man was trying to keep the skills going at the same time as if they were two different things, splitting his attention, and his energy. But, he figured it out.

Rather then two, he made them one.

Instead of trying to whip up the wind and force it into the staff he was channeling, he just channeled through the weapon. The rapid wind around him died down as it focused around the staff, visibly whipping around the whole wooden stick as a small, proud smile took over Kahlil's features.

Gherron watched in curiosity as his student focused on the staff, and when a small wind picked up he smiled a bit and backed up a few feet. As Kahlil continued to work his idea, Gherron watched his face contort as he struggled to control the power without losing too much energy. Eventually though, it clicked, and the force began flowing freely through the staff once more, though with the addition of wind gusting through it. Once it died down, Gherron grinned at his student, clapping him on the shoulder. ”Well done Kahlil, I think you’ve just discovered another talent of yours, and you’ve given me some new thought into this ability. The possibilities here are practically endless!” He laughed despite himself, just as giddy as he once was as a padawan. He loved discovering new facets of the force, especially when it was a student of his that came up with it. He was always a staunch believer of the idea that one never stopped learning, and this was proof of that concept.

"It's.. Exhilarating to say the least." The proud smile had turned into a more goofy grin as he turned his attention to [member="Gherron Dragonsflame"] . He swiped once with the weapon in hand, unleashing a blast of the wind as if he had been using his hands. In a way, the staff had become a proper extension of his body. "I think I'm going to go work on this for a while. Somewhere safe, keep folks from getting harmed. If that's okay, master?"
