He found them.

The traitors that killed his father. They had fled and evaded him for long enough. After talking with Nos Voros Nos Voros and getting his head back on straight after the death of Gundar, Tarw renewed the hunt for what started him on this path. He was finally going to put an end to those that were meant to have his father's back no matter what. However, he knew that making sure that justice was done was not going to be an easy task. In fact, he knew that Peek and Wrad were not going to be enough in handling this squad. They were veterans in war. Survived more battles than his current team put together.

What hadn't killed that lot had only made them more dangerous.

Therefore he reached out to the only person he thought could help him with this particular mission. The woman who went to held and back for him. He contacted Valery and informed her of the mission and the importance the mission held. This wasn't just getting revenge or bringing in the people who killed his father, it was also ensuring these traitors couldn't continue selling the secrets and intel they had on the GA. A loose end that had been impossible to tie up until now.

Tarw could only hope that she would accept his offer.

It had been a while since he had last seen her. He was even bigger now, having spent more time training and building his physique. His skills were sharper than they had been when they first met. He was no longer the fresh out of the academy rookie that she had known. He was battle hardened, scarred mentally and physically by war. Killed more people than he could count and loss more people than he would like to admit.

He was donning the armour sections to his underlay, his well defined muscles looking even bigger with the skin tight underlay suit on. His cold eyes burning with determination as he thought about the mission he was about to go on. Peek and Wrad insisted on joining even though Tarw warned them it was going to be incredibly dangerous. Deadly in fact since this squad were beyond fortified at their location and Tarw didn't know what weaponry they could possibly have. However, they were his team and apparently that meant working together as a team. Loyalty that Tarw wished his father could have had in life.

Tarw took a moment to let out a sigh as he sat there, midway through putting on his armour.

Valery stepped into the room, her amber eyes flicking to Tarw as he sat midway through donning his armor. He was different now, after all of his training. But she knew better than to just see the soldier he had become. Beneath the scars and his resolve, there was still the man who had lost his father.

Now he was asking for her help.

She had agreed without hesitation. Not just because this mission needed to be done — the traitors had intelligence on the GA, and leaving them unchecked was too great a ris k— but because she knew exactly how easy it was to let grief consume reason. And she knew, without a doubt, that Tarw was walking that line. That was why she was really here. To ensure the mission succeeded. To ensure he came out of it the same man who had walked in.

She crossed the room, her movements fluid, steady. "You called, I came," she said, her voice warm. She stopped beside him, tilting her head slightly as her gaze searched his face. "I read your report on these traitors. You're right—this needs to end." A small pause, her tone dipping into something more knowing. "But—"

She folded her arms, one brow lifting. "I also know this isn't just about loose ends. It's about him." Her words weren't accusing, but they didn't dance around the truth either.

She glanced at his half-armored form, then back to his face. "I'm here to help you finish this, Tarw," she said, her voice softer now. "But you need to be focused. We do this right. No reckless moves, no giving in to whatever they try to pull out of you. We take them down because they deserve it. Not because they made it personal."

A small smirk tugged at the corner of her lips. "Can you handle that?"

Hearing the door open and then the appearance of Valery, Tarw's appearance lifted and he seemed thrilled that Valery had accepted the offer. He felt more confident on the success of the mission. However, it also meant that he had to put on a front so that Valery did see how this mission was weighing on him. Tarw figured that Valery would know to some extent but he did not want to reveal everything that was going on in his mind. Leaning up, his muscular upper half on display as he grinned over to Valery.

"And it is always a pleasure to see you." Tarw gave a friendly wink to Valery, "thanks for coming. This... It means a lot to have you here." Tarw mentioned as she stood close and Tarw breathed in deeply, letting out a slow nod of his head. "It. I won't deny my drive was justice for him." He wasn't going to disrespect Valery by attempting to lie to her. Especially on something that was as important as this mission.

Placing a couple more pieces of his armour on, "I know. I can't let them reduce me to their level." Locking the armour in place as he continued to look at her, "I'm sure with you by my side, by my team's side. We'll do this cleanly. Correctly and smoothly." Tarw mentioned as he showed a determined glint in his eyes. He was ready to get this mission completed and make sure he ended the threat that these traitors posed to the Alliance and its civilians. He was a soldier and had to be a soldier in this mission.

He couldn't let fury or hunger for revenge blind him here.

"Just need to finish a couple more pieces of armour and then I can introduce you to the other teammates that will be joining us." Tarw mentioned as he grinned, leaving the last couple harder pieces that he needed to put on.

Valery watched Tarw closely, her gaze sharp but warm. She saw the effort in his posture — the way he straightened, the way he put on that confident front. He was trying to show her he was in control. Trying to prove that he could handle this. And maybe he could. But she also knew grief had a way of burrowing deep, twisting into something harder to shake when the moment came.

Still, she smirked at his wink, shaking her head just slightly. At least, he was still himself.

Then he admitted it. That this was about his father. And she nodded, appreciating the honesty. Tarw was never one to lie to her — not about things that mattered. He was a soldier, determined to see this mission through, but at the core of it, he was still a son. That didn't make him weak, but it did mean she had to be certain he wouldn't let emotion cloud his judgment.

As he locked another piece of armor into place, she exhaled softly. "Good," she said, voice firm but steady. "Because I meant what I said, Tarw —I 've got your back. You focus on getting this done right, and I'll make sure nobody gets in our way."

Her smirk sharpened just slightly. "And if you do start slipping? I'll be right there to pull you back."

She leaned slightly against the nearest surface, watching as he secured the last few pieces of his armor. "I'll definitely want to meet your team before we head out. If they're working this operation with us, I want to know what they can do." A small pause, her fiery gaze flickering with something more amused. "And make sure they don't drive me crazy."

Valery rolled her shoulders, her body already shifting into mission mode. "Once you're ready, let's get moving. The sooner we take care of this, the better."

Valery always seemed to have an uncanny to see through Tarw. It was something that few people were able to or at least Tarw always believed it was an ability that few people had. If it was anyone but Valery, it would unnerve Tarw since he did not like the idea of being such an open book with people. However, Valery always made it seem a fun and teasing ability which relaxed him and Tarw hoped that some day that he would offer a chance to demonstrate a similar ability with Valery. A way to read her and tease in an entertaining fashion.

Nodding his head, "I didn't ask you here just for your skills. You're my closest friend and I knew that you could help me in case things went downhill." Tarw stated, he was considering the fact that his patience, willpower to keep this justice and not something that turns into revenge was not going to be the strongest he normally had it. Having someone there to offer support, to keep him in check, that was what he needed.

Then Valery decided to be a whole damn distraction. His eyes could not help but scan over her amazing figure as she leaned against the table.

Was the room getting warm now?

He had to adjust certain parts of his armour as it was definitely feeling hot under the armour, even extremely more tight to what he wanted the armour to be. Tarw grinned sheepishly to Valery, "well luckily for you, you only have to endure them for the mission so they shouldn't get on your nerves too much. Think they are excited to see you as well, so might be a little nervous. Chance to show off to one of the best in the Alliance." Tarw smirked and gave a wink to Valery.

Tarw scratched the back of his head, "would it be a bad thing to mention that I am in no rush, right now?" He laughed, not being subtle at all in how he was admiring the way Valery was right now and did not wish to shift from this view any time soon. It was like watching a beautiful sunset, you tried to admire it for as long as you could.

"But if you insist we get moving, I'll be right behind." Tarw coughed nervously with a grin.

Valery tilted her head just slightly as Tarw spoke, her smirk deepening with something a little more knowing. It was rare for him to outright admit things like this—how much he trusted her, how much he relied on her. And yet, here he was, saying it without hesitation. It was enough to make something settle in her chest, a warmth she didn't often let herself acknowledge.

"I'm glad you did," she murmured, her voice quieter for just a moment, letting him know she meant it. "You know I wouldn't be anywhere else." But just as the weight of the moment settled between them, she caught the way his gaze flickered. The way his eyes traveled, a little less focused on her face, a little more... distracted.

Oh.

She watched him shift, adjusting his armor — not for function, but for comfort. And for the briefest second, her gaze dipped from his, flicking downward before snapping right back up with a single, slow blink. Really? Valery exhaled sharply, not quite a sigh, but something close. Then, finally, she rolled her eyes, the corner of her mouth twitching upward.

"Alright, alright, get your head back in the game, soldier," she said, pushing off from where she'd been leaning. Her voice was amused, teasing, but beneath it was that familiar firmness — the reminder that they had a mission to focus on. "You can stand around admiring the view later. Right now, we've got work to do."

She took a step toward the door, then glanced back at him, her smirk playful but expectant.

"Unless you'd rather stay here and sweat in that armor all day?"

His eyes connected with Valery's, showing the appreciation of her words and the fact that she understood how much that this meant for him to have her here. And while he would have loved to spend time just them together, getting distracted by one another, he knew that when she moved to the door and mentioned getting his head back in the game as well as enjoying the view later on, she was right. There were times and places for these things and right now, Tarw knew that he couldn't delay the mission. Not when the squad could get wind of this mission and flee while the advantage was in Tarw's hands.

"You know that I am definitely taking you up on that offer, right?" Tarw chuckled, grabbing his helmet and walking up to Valery by the door, his large figure making the doorframe look a lot smaller as he hung close by Valery. "Well, as tempting as it is, standing around and getting sweaty with you would be, best we meet the team." He chuckled softly, stepping dangerously close to Valery for a long moment before leading the way to where his team would be.

The meeting room was reasonably sized and there was Peek, a tall, female Twi'lek who held a large sniper rifle and looked over to the pair as they entered. Clearly thrilled to see Valery Noble, the best fighter known in the GA. It was also good to see someone who could raise Tarw's spirits. The guy had been down since Gundar passed so both Peek and Wrad wanted to make sure he was his best for the mission. Wrad was a Rodian, probably the shortest and skinniest out of the group, he was also a solid medic and good pilot for the group as well.

"Peek is an expert in weapons, specialising in snipers as you can see. She shall be in an overwatch position to make sure we aren't flanked or surprised." Tarw mentioned then gestured to Wrad, "this is Wrad, he's our team medic and pilot. He will also be in charge of hacking and splicing into the fortress's systems."

Gundar had been the tech guy but his death and Tarw's reluctance to replace him meant that Wrad had to pick up that role. Something the medic did well.

"Pleasure to meet you Master Noble, Tarw has mentioned you plenty on how you saved his life and helped him take down some Sith before." Peek mentioned, excitement to learn more about Tarw from another source was clearly in her mischievous eyes as they glinted with purpose.

Tarw groaned, he could tell he was going to regret letting Peek meet someone he knew before the team.

Valery followed Tarw as he led the way, her smirk lingering just a little at his last words. Oh, she knew he was going to take her up on that offer. But for now, the mission came first. And that meant meeting the team. The moment she stepped into the room, her sharp gaze swept across the space, taking in everything — the setup, the exits, the gear, and most importantly, the people. Peek, the tall Twi'lek sniper, already looked eager, her eyes practically gleaming at the sight of Valery. Wrad, the Rodian medic and hacker, seemed more reserved.

Solid crew.

When Tarw made the introductions, Valery nodded, her stance relaxed, "It's good to meet you both," she said, her voice warm but steady. "I appreciate you letting me run with your team for this one. We've got a job to do, and I'm glad to be doing it alongside all of you."

Then, as Peek made her comment — Tarw has mentioned you plenty — Valery arched a brow, flicking her gaze toward the big guy at her side. "Oh, has he now?" she mused, tilting her head just slightly, her smirk returning. "That's good to hear. I'd hate for him to leave out all the fun details." Then, with a small shift in her stance, she exhaled and rolled a shoulder, her expression sharpening into something more mission-ready.

"I'm good to go if you all are. Just point me where you need me, and let's get this done."

Peek's eyes glinted more as Valery mentioned fun details. "We'll have to compare notes for sure then! Make sure he didn't skip over the juicier details."

Tarw groaned, he dreaded this idea more than anything but at least there was going to be a mission first. "We'll be there soon enough, plan is to approach two points. The fortress is going to withstand a frontal assault, but if we go with two different angles, I think we could get closer to the entrance and then hack our way inside." Tarw mentioned as he pulled up a map of the terrain of the fortress, highlighting where the two teams could launch from there side.

"I was thinking Valery and Peek, myself and Wrad." Tarw stated as he looked over to Valery, "as long as that works with you. Figured the two of us can handle drawing fire the best." Tarw chuckled deeply, as he turned back to the group. "Once the door has been broken into, then we can then push in forward hard. Aim is to stun and handcuffed to ensure we can take them back to face justice properly." Looking to Valery, and steeling himself since there was a darker part of him that thought such justice was too forgiving for what they did.

But he couldn't let himself be like that, be like them. Valery mentioned that as well, not to go into this with revenge as the focus.

Feeling the ship pull out the Hyperspace, Tarw looked over to Wrad who nodded his head and moved to the cockpit of the ship. "We'll drop you two down first and then contact you when we are heading down as well." Heading to the ramp to send off Valery and Peek, wanting to support them before they get separated for the short time it would take to get to the door.

Valery arched a brow at Peek, smirking, but her focus remained on the mission. They had a job to do, and while she enjoyed keeping Tarw on his toes, that came second to getting the job done.

As he laid out the plan, Valery shifted her stance, arms crossing as she studied the projected map. Two-pronged approach. One team drawing fire, the other making the breach. Solid. The kind of plan that relied on precision, but if executed properly, it gave them the best shot at minimizing resistance once inside.

She glanced at Tarw as he assigned the teams, nodding. "Works for me." A smirk tugged at the corner of her lips. "Sounds like you're giving me the fun one."

Turning, she rolled her shoulders and adjusted her gear, the tension in the ship shifting as they pulled out of hyperspace. It was time. Without hesitation, she made her way toward the ramp, her movements fluid and sure. "We'll clear the way," she said over her shoulder. "See you both inside."

Then, without another word, she stepped off the ramp and into the mission.

"Well, don't make me regret doing that." Tarw countered when Valery commented on getting the fun one. He was already thinking that he needed to switch the teams up but it was already decided and he had to trust that on mission they would be more focused. Off mission was when he needed to be more careful in pairing that duo up.

Watching Valery prep herself by the ramp, Tarw nodded his head, "just don't have too much fun without me." Tarw stated firmly with a teasing tone to his voice. Then watched as she jumped out, looking over to Peek.

"That woman is a whirlwind, I can see why you like her." Peek winked over to Tarw, "I'm sure she'll love some of the silly stories we got on you during drinks after this mission." Tarw could only look in despair and groan deeply.

"Just keep focused on the mission." Tarw stated as he watched Peek jumped out of the ship and slowed her descent to the ground with a couple microrepulsors. Nodding over to Valery as she set up her sniper rifle to cover Valery.

Wrad directed the ship to the second spot, landing the ship and both Tarw and the medic rushed out of the ship. The fortress hadn't started launching attacks and there was clearly tension in the air as Tarw knew that the squad inside was waiting for them to start their attack. Looking back over to Wrad, "stick close to me, Wrad."

The medic nodded his head as he placed a hand on Tarw's backplate. Rushing forward, Tarw acted as a barrier, a defensive wall to keep Wrad safe. His hands gripping his rotary cannon tightly, carrying the weapon ready to fire at the fortress.

Valery landed with the grace of someone who had done this a thousand times before, boots hitting the dirt with barely a sound. The air was thick with tension, the kind that came right before a fight broke out, before the storm hit. She could feel it humming through the battlefield, a charged stillness just waiting to erupt.

Settling into position, she reached out through the Force, letting it sharpen her senses as she scanned the fortress ahead. They hadn't started firing yet, but that wouldn't last. The second Tarw and his team made their move, all hell would break loose.

A shimmer in the distance caught her attention —Peek, already set up with her sniper rifle, nodding toward her in silent confirmation. That meant they had some overwatch if things went south.

With a slow breath, Valery adjusted her grip on her weapon, rolling her shoulders as she centered herself. "Alright," she murmured into her comm, her smirk audible even through the static. "Let's kick the door in."

Then, without hesitation, she moved. Fast and silent. A shadow weaving through the terrain, slipping closer to the fortress. Her lightsaber remained unignited for now — no need to give away their approach too soon — but the second the attack began, she'd be ready.

It didn't take time for Tarw to notice the defences to flair into life of the fortress, auto-turrets adjusting into position and began to fire down upon both Tarw and Wrad as well as Valery. The bolts were crashing down around Tarw and Wrad, intense heat radiating from the craters as the soldier led the charge forward. His heart was racing furiously and adrenaline was pumping through his veins as he charged closer to the main entrance. The rain of fire was intense from multiple guns but Tarw dodge and avoided the fire, not keen on testing the defensive capabilities of beskar against guns this strong.

Arriving at the main door, he looked over to Wrad, the medic was a lot more tense and terrified, the rain of fire from the guns was clearly putting the medic on edge. Tarw grunted and made sure that he protected Wrad's body as the medic began his work on breaking down the security to get inside. Tarw made sure to keep an eye out for Valery, checking that the Jedi Master was doing well. He felt confident that she would be alright but he couldn't help but be concern about his friend.

He heard the sharp shots from Peek aiming to damage and disable the auto-turrets best she could with her weapon. Wrad was muttering about how complicated the system was, it was not going to be a quick hack from what Tarw could tell. He was frustrated but they were stuck between the heavy fire from the auto-turrets and a wall.

Then a sharp sniper fire came from the fortress, aiming at Valery and Peek. "Sniper! Peek! Get to cover!" Tarw roared over the comms, he was concerned for Valery as well but she was a Jedi Master, he knew that she could handle any blaster fire coming her way. The sniper was more exposed and Tarw couldn't afford to lose another member of his squad.

"Moving now, don't fret big guy!" Peek teased as she started darting from her position, "tell Wrad to hurry up and get that door..." A shot cut off Peek's sentence as the bolt pierced through her head and caused the Twi'lek to collapse dead onto the ground.

Valery was already moving the second the first sniper shot rang out. She felt the danger in the Force before she saw it, her instincts screaming as she twisted sharply, just in time to watch the bolt tear through Peek's skull. The Twi'lek's body crumpled, her rifle clattering uselessly to the ground, and for a single heartbeat, the battlefield fell silent in Valery's mind.

Then the world snapped back into motion.

"Peek—" The name barely left her lips before another shot whizzed past her, forcing her into action. There was no time to mourn. No time to hesitate. The sniper was still out there, still aiming for them, and if she didn't move now, someone else was going to drop. She surged forward, fast.

A burst of energy through the Force sent her rocketing across the battlefield, weaving between turret fire as another sniper shot grazed past her shoulder. The ledge where the sniper had perched was high, but that wasn't a problem. Her boots barely touched the ground before she launched herself skyward, flipping over a burst of return fire and twisting midair to land on a lower outcropping of the fortress.

One jump. Two. Her fingers caught the edge of a crumbling ledge, muscles coiling as she yanked herself up just as another bolt scorched the stone where she had been an instant before. The sniper had seen her coming now — good. With a final, powerful leap, she flipped over the sniper's nest, her violet blade igniting in a sudden flash of light. The red visor of the enemy sniper snapped up to meet her in alarm, but she was already twisting midair, her saber carving down in a single, precise arc.

One breath later, the sniper was gone.

She landed with grace, boots skidding against metal as she turned, scanning for any other threats. The fortress still loomed, turrets still active, but the battlefield had just lost one of its most dangerous eyes.

"Sniper's down," she called into her comm, voice sharp, steady. "Now let's finish this."

"NOOOO!!!" Tarw roared as he saw Peek collapse, he knew it was bad, especially when Valery moved towards the unknown sniper and not to offer healing to Peek. He had lost another soldier under his command.

This mission was getting more crucial with each life it was taking and he could feel the rage burning deeply inside him. Tarw was not going to allow this mission to be failure, he could not let Peek's sacrifice be in vain the same way that Gundar's death had been. There was too much burden on the soldier for him to handle more failure. His head sharply turned to a frantic Wrad. "Get this damn door open now!" Tarw barked, his patience for the medic's slow hacking was faded now that they were suffering losses in number.

Hearing Valery, Tarw nodded his head, then heard Wrad comment that the door should be opening. The door then opened just enough for them to squeeze through. However, as it opened slightly, shots were fired from soldiers on the other side trying to kill Wrad to prevent him opening the door any further. Tarw flung himself in blocking and absorbing the shots that were fired. The bolts ricocheting from his beskar or causing him to wince in pain as they burnt the less protected portions of his armour. Slotting his gun through the gap, Tarw fired his rotary cannon heavily into the other side, roaring in frustration.

Then the door slid open fully with Wrad panting a silent thank you to Tarw for protecting him from the fire. Tarw didn't seem to notice, just focusing on the dead soldier and scanning the area for who else was left.

From the reports he had, the sniper and this dead body were only two fifths of the squad. There was still three others that they had to be on alert for. Tarw stepped into the main room, he had still half a magazine for his rotary cannon roughly before he was switching weapons. The soldier wandered through the room before he felt a couple shots ping off his helmet and chest as someone shot at him from the shadows.

"Seems the pup is coming for revenge. How quaint." A voice called out in a mocking tone.

"STU! SHOW YOURSELF!" Tarw roared as he looked around the room, scanning the shadows for where the soldier would be. Knowing that Stu was meant to be skilled in hiding his presence and operating in the shadows, a stealthy assassin style soldier.

"Better check on your allies before you chase shadows of the past, boy." Stu continued to mock with the laughter of the other two soldiers ringing in Tarw's ears as well.

He looked over to Valery, the Jedi Master seemed fine. Then Tarw looked over to Wrad who was looking at Tarw with panicked eyes. "Wrad? Wrad!" The medic collapsed and dropping his cannon, Tarw rushed over to the medic, once he reached the soldier, he could see a bolt ricocheted from his beskar helmet and hit Wrad in the throat. Killing Wrad.

"No...no.no..nnoooo..." Tarw patted Wrad down, trying to look something he could find to stop Wrad from dying.

However it was far too late and the medic passed away in the arms of Tarw.

The laughter continued to ring in his ears. Tarw could hear them.

Valery moved fast. The moment the fortress door cracked open and she heard blaster fire ring out again, her boots hit the stone, and she sprinted. The sniper was down, but the battle was far from over — and she could feel it. The coiling of danger in the air, the way it slithered through the Force like something alive. And then...

Wrad.

She arrived just as Tarw caught the medic in his arms.

Her boots skidded to a halt, violet blade still ignited in her hand. Her fiery gaze landed on the scene: Tarw hunched over the fallen soldier, Wrad's lifeless eyes wide with the kind of shock that only came from a death that was far too fast. The Force rang with the loss, and her chest clenched as the second body joined the dirt.

Two gone. And the real threat still breathing.

Valery stepped forward quickly, placing one hand on Tarw's shoulder — not rough, but firm.

"Tarw..." Her voice was sharp but not unkind. Her eyes met his, and there was no room for doubt in them. "You can mourn them when this is over. But if we don't stop him now, more people will die." The laughter still echoed, maddening and taunting, but Valery didn't let it shake her. Her focus narrowed. Her grip tightened on her hilt.

"He's playing with your anger. That's what he wants — to blind you. Don't let him." She glanced around the room, eyes scanning the shadows. She could feel him. Faint. Masked. But present.

"We end this." A beat. Her voice lowered, fiercer now.

"I shouldn't have brought them..." Tarw muttered, the laughter from the three remaining soldiers lingering in the background. "I knew that there was a reason that I shouldn't have brought them... They weren't ready.... No training could get them ready...." Tarw continue to mutter under his breath as he looked down at the dead body of Wrad. It had ricocheted from his helmet, it had been a damn trick shot to kill the medic while also making Tarw think he was the one being targeted.

It was damn clever and that made Tarw hate it all the more.

Arising to his feet, he looked over to Valery, his expression hidden behind the helmet but the rage. The fury. It burned hard and radiated from him like a furnace. "Stu is human... there is also a Zygerrian tank and a Cathar tech guy..." Tarw warned Valery, "we also need to burn the base down. Destroy the records here and check to see if they sent any information and where they might have sent it." Tarw informed Valery, making sure the Jedi knew there was still other objectives he was focusing on.

He wasn't completely lost to his rage. Not yet.

Grabbing his cannon, his finger was ready on the trigger for the moment he saw anything and would fire everything he had. Tarw nodded in the direction of the hallway, "that is our best bet for finding a control room. Probably where Stu ran to as well." Tarw mentioned, he figured that Stu would want the others to wear down Tarw and Valery down so he could make his escape. But Tarw wasn't going to let that happen.

As Tarw led the way, he could hear the movement of two people. He held a hand up to keep things silent as his ears pricked. He knew one thing about the weaponry of the Zygerrian and if this was true then they did not want to be trapped in a hallway heading in this direction. Looking back to Valery, "this tank is going to have a blaster cannon, full on cannon not rotary like mine. So big hit with lots of spread damage. Smart move would be to launch attacks when we near the exit but still trapped in the hallway."

However, there was a plan in Tarw's mind forming and he thought there was a chance that he could avoid getting them trapped at least. He stepped forward slowly, letting his trigger finger slide away from the rotary cannon and reach from a thermal detonator. It was a risky play but he knew it was better than to just let them fire on the pair trapped.

Throwing the first detonator, Tarw quickly primed a second and threw that one out as well. Making sure that they flew a considerable distance in the air.

"Run to cover now!" Tarw ordered as he sprinted out of the hallway and into the chamber of the second room, diving into some small cover of desks and chairs in what appeared to be a former conference room. Resting the rotary cannon to the table near him, he aimed towards the large Zygerrian and fired heavily upon the soldier.

The Cathar tech soldier was targeting Valery, attempting to fire sonic rounds from his two pistols at the Jedi in order to incapacitate the Jedi Master long enough for the pair to kill Tarw.

Valery moved the second Tarw did.

As the first detonator arced through the air, her grip tightened on her lightsaber and her boots left the stone, launching herself forward in a blur of motion. The hallway exploded behind them in a violent blast of sound and light, but she didn't look back — didn't need to. She trusted Tarw's timing. Trusted his fury to be controlled.

The moment they cleared the corridor and spilled into the conference chamber, chaos erupted.

Blaster fire roared. Valery twisted mid-air, narrowly avoiding a sonic blast that shredded the space where her head had been a split second before. The floor cracked under the pressure of it, a harsh reminder that those pistols were designed to hurt. But Valery didn't slow — didn't stop.

She danced.

Her violet blade sprang to life with a sharp snap-hiss, cutting through the haze as she spun low and fast, her boots barely touching the ground as she weaved through overturned chairs and burning rubble. More sonic rounds came screaming toward her, but she was impossible to catch.

She caught the Cathar's eyes, just for a moment and smiled. A heartbeat later, she was on him. Her saber sliced through one of his pistols with a hiss of molten metal, the weapon cleaving in two. The Cathar staggered back, the second pistol rising — too slow. Valery's boot connected with his chest in a solid kick, sending him crashing into the side of the console with a pained grunt.
