  • Trouble Breathing
  • Extreme Body Temperatures
  • Jaundice

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

Strengths
:
  • Killer: TSHV is a very potent virus, with a 99.9% kill rate if left untreated. It works quickly with deadly efficiency.
  • Sneaky Severity: The virus has a low severity rate, the symptoms resembling that of a common cold or a low flu strain. However, that is just a facade, for the virus is already moving toward its full potency. Only with the visual symptom of jaundice does the chance of curing the infected of this virus becomes evident; and time is short.
Weaknesses:
  • Quickly Curable: Despite the effectiveness TSHV possesses in terms of causing fatalities, it is by the easiest of all viruses to cure; with the proper vaccine. Once a vaccine is administered, the virus will die within thirty to forty-five seconds.
  • Short-Life Expectancy: Outside a living host, the virus will die almost immediately.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Spectral Harvest Virus, dubbed Death's Children, targets the underdeveloped immune systems of young children from birth to age seven; where several factors determine how developed their immune systems are such as genetics, nutrition, and environment. The virus was created mainly to cull children to prevent the growth of Force wielding individuals in the galaxy, and since most species that are Force sensitive can be traced to birth, sometimes doesn't manifest itself until further years in the child's age.

Unlike her previous created virus,
The Morrow's Whisper, that attacks the midi-chlorians of already established Force wielders of any age, the SHV is like a prequal to the Morrow's Virus, or a preventive measure to unalive any potential, or suspected, Force sensitive children. As deadly the virus is to infants and young children, it has both a short life expectancy and a quick curable rate.

Due to the nature of the virus' main focus, it is rarely employed upon the galaxy, and mainly in those areas among the galaxy that produce high rates of Force sensitive children. Also, the virus is only known to one individual only, Darth Moskvin, and only can be used by her and only her. It's another way for the Sith Lord to aid in her conquest to permanently eradicate the Force from the galaxy.

Note: This is only for submissions purposes to add to her virus creations. It will never be used in roleplay threads but can be mentioned.

Hi Darth Moskvin Darth Moskvin I'll be reviewing this one today. If approved it will require a second approval with my being a trainee at present, so please bear with me. :)

Spooky stuff here! It's worth mentioning that because it's a virus submission, it would be available for use by the community at large, and not just as an exclusive thing anchored to one character, so please be aware of that if this were to go through.

I would suggest possibly considering turning this instead into a media submission as some sort of scientific journal etc that documents the virus' existence, which would give you plenty of freedom to write about this without the risk of it being used by others.

Let me know how you'd like to proceed. :)

Everest Vale Everest Vale

It's a virus, like all the ones she created before, that is only in her possession. If another writer wants to use this or any of the other viruses she has created exclusively for her use, that writer would need a concrete reason on how they obtained it from her lab; and how they found her lab and how they managed to handwave how they fought entire clan of Nightsisters by themselves without a scratch.

Also, it's a synthetic virus, not a natural virus that is freely available in the galaxy, this it would be hers alone since she created it and it's in her lab only.

If not, I'll look to a media journal submission instead.

Hi there,

I'm going to hop in and help out.

Thats not how species in the Codex work. If you've had a virus approved before in this fashion, it was mistaken, but we don't operate on precedent. Every submission is judged on its own merit - Not based on what came before.

Taken from the Codex Rules:
  • Keep in mind that Custom Species that have been submitted can be utilized by other writers. It is suggested that members discuss their intent with the original author, however, it is not required.
So the rreason Everest Vale Everest Vale is asking is because the statement about it "never being used" would be inherently false. She's checking with you to see what you really want or intend before blanket approving something that might not turn out the way you expected.

Personally, if it's never going to be used, never needed for a weapon in the Factory - I believe that a "Media" submission would be more appropriate. You could do a journal or even a spooky grimoire about it and would maintain the effect you want (being able to reference it) without the potential of it being used.

Unless you want it to to be used in which case you'd just need to amend that one line.

Please let us know how you'd like to proceed. Thank you kindly!
