The Sublime Serana

Serana Onyx

The Shadow's Sister
The young and beautiful bounty hunter was sitting in a bar in The Galactic City of Coruscant. She was sitting there drinking and relaxing.

She was in a nice, but not formal, black dress. It fell down to her shins. He red hair was hanging down in front of her, blocking her bright orange eyes.

She enjoyed moments like this. Just relaxing. But then again, you never know who might walk through that door. This was the Republic capital after all. Never know if a Jedi might sense you.

That's why she had her gun. Concealed inside one of the dress pockets. Easy to reach and she could pull it up fast enough to get a shot. She was always cautious. Never know who might walk through that door.

Vitor had come to Coruscant in order to access the planet's libraries for any information on himself. But now, he needed a drink. He was starting to run low on credits, but a glass of Corellian ale would still stain his throat as the barkeep tossed him another mug.

She was here again. That strange bounty hunter, one he recognized. He carefully fingered part of the sword, which glowed a very faint dark purple. He was trying hard to make his paying attention to her seem inconspicuous... something he hoped would have the opposite effect. She was dangerous, whoever she was, and he had a strange interest in finding out more about her.

Or maybe the Sith spirit did.

Miles walked into the bar half-caulked and ready to drink the day away. He'd just been court marshaled for reckless actions on his last mission. Miles had jumped the gun on breaching a Sith outpost and got 4 civilians killed in the crossfire. He walked up to the bar and ordered the strongest thing they had. He sat there and went over the events in his head. Miles looked up from his drink a saw this woman of incredible beauty across the bar. He felt he's seen her before. One of his missions maybe or maybe just at this bar. She seemed to be waiting for someone or something to happen.

HK entered the while picking at something at the back of his neck, he had some sort of datapad in his hands and he strolled to lean on the bar by Vitor.
"There's this new fancy sniper rifle being researched. Technology really took off from what I remember."
He looked up to the Padawan from the datapad and then around for somebody who might have taken his attention.
"What is with you?" He lowered his voice

HK, nothing is with me, okay? I just... He shook his head, clearing some of the Corellian ale's effects from his mind. I'm just feeling a bit of regret for some reason... I don't know why. My memory's as corrupted and spotty as your own. Maybe it'll come to me one day.

He continued to subtly eye the bounty huntress. She perked his interest, and yet he had little to no idea why. Did she remind him of someone he once knew? Was he merely attracted to her physically? Was there some deeper esoteric meaning for his interest? He himself was unsure.

But soon, that would be cleared up, he hoped.

HK shrugged, putting the datapad down.
"Maybe you lost it for a reason? It is harder for an organic to loose memory than for my superior kind."
He looked over at the bounty huntress with Vitor
"All I am saying- do what you can with what you have, do not seek what was because you might not like it. And then there is nothing you can do about it. Because it happened. It is not about what you were anyway, it is about what you are at heart. What you strive to be."
He nodged him in the arm, motioning to @[member="Serana Williams"]
"Hey, how about I will be your wingman?"

In Umbris Potestas Est
Vitor looked at @[member="HK-36"], his droid companion. It's both a blessing and a curse to be like you. On one hand, you can last so much longer than a mere meatbag body. Yet on the other... you can be impaired so much more than one of us.

The droid's words were wise. That scared him a little bit... wise droids? Droids were supposed to be intelligent or otherwise knowledgeable, but not wise. I don't know what to strive to be, HK... That's what worries me. If I knew all about who I was, where I came from, I could have an easier choice, but my memory's locked.

The rusted droid was offering to be his wingman? Well, if it worked for Revan... I know you don't ordinarily do this, but could you possibly add some "Statement:"s and "Observation:"s to your speech? The less people know about you, the better. With the maintenance I've done for you, you should have almost full mobility in your arms and legs... I can only hope your combat algorithms are somewhat intact.

And with that, he and the droid stepped over to the bar, the amnesiac Padawan taking a seat next to the well-dressed bounty huntress. He was wearing the armor he was found in, pristine and polished with a great deal of lubricant as to make it as un-groaty as possible. Motioning the bartender over, he gave a quick whisper to him about @[member="Serana Williams"].

All her drinks... They're on me.

He nodded to Vitor, putting his hand on the boy's shoulder.
"I think we can both agree that you should strive to be HK."
Then he followed him next to Serena, watching him talk to barman and leaning on the bar.
"Observation: Bless my circuits, how very generous. Neutral Commentary: I am obviously a stranger and only passerby, with no experience with this here being, but it is obvious even to me, droid with no way attached to him and no reason to be helping or complimenting him in any way, that it is rare to find such a specimen among organics. Calculation: It is a rare trait that will be found attractive by many female members of his species and/or other species of organics, such as, Gammoreans. Additional Statement: In fact I would find him attractive have I not been a soulless machine with no need for relationships and have I not found organic bodies disgusting."
After his graceful attempt at being a wingman, HK turned to Vitor, saying to him quietly.
"Wink."
He then nudged him as if to signal he had his back.

The bustle of the bar seemed normal, a Jedi and a droid having a conversation, a Twi'lek flirting with a cyborg, etc. [wait, that Jedi is looking right at the woman across the bar.] The Jedi and the droid approached the woman. Miles shifted his belt, touched up his hair and fixed his uniform. He walked over to the woman, "Hello. I'm Miles, I couldn't help but notice you." He looked up at the Jedi who seemed liked he'd had a few too many.

Serana was enjoying her drink. Next to here was a man and a strange looking droid. She had memories of the old HK series of droids. It was discontinued. Though some still functioned. She was slightly jealous the man had the droid. She would love to sell it for more then it is worth, only for her to blow the deal as soon as the credits are transferred to her. She would get the droid and keep the credits

After taking some sips of the Mandalorian wine she had, a man came up and introduced himself. She wasn't surprised. She knew someone would introduce themselves. She slipped him a small smile. "Nice to meet you." Serana held out her hand for him to shake. "I am Serana Williams."

In his mind, Vitor was a tad frustrated. He had just tried to make his move, his opportunity to introduce himself to @[member="Serana Williams"], when a Republic trooper got in the way. Another thought flashed into his mind, one of a class of trooper existing with that armor type thousands of years before. He muttered something under his breath that he hoped @[member="Miles Varden"] wouldn't hear. Damned Republic special forces troopers...

It would be rude to interrupt her conversation with the soldier, though, and as such, he merely waited, biding his time like a proper gentleman. Her intrigue to him would likely not go unnoticed by her.

Miles took Serana's dainty yet string hand into his own. Politely as he could in his current mood he asked, "What, may I ask would a woman such as yourself being doing in a dive like this?" He gave a not to the Jedi and the droid, and took the stool next to Serana.

Serana wasn't surprised at his move. She was always hit on for her beauty. She got annoyed with it at times. But since she was relaxed and not under any current assignments, she decided to continue her conversation with Miles instead of leave. "Well Mister Miles, I am here off duty. I am waiting for my ship to receive her proper repairs and get fuel. Until then I am here, relaxing."

Vitor could only wait and be patient. His time to say something to @[member="Serana Williams"] would come. He remembered the machinery he had found installed into the back of the shuttle - its former occupants were holoforgers and identicard falsifiers. It also helped that he knew of a diplomat's formal party being held later in the evening.

Asking a woman out on a date, especially one that could easily get an advantage over the somewhat unlearned ex-Padawan he once was, was something he never thought he would do. Still, the least he could do was nudge her in his direction with the Force, make her notice him a tad more as he scraped a bit of rust off of @[member="HK-36"] with the end of his sword.

"Excuse me for just one second." Serana turned to the man with the droid. She could feel something. She wasn't force-sensitive. She knew that the man next to her was trying to get her attention.

She was experienced when it came to Jedi and Sith. She worked with Sith. She thought the Sith were reaching their full potential. The Jedi on the other hand were scared of nothing but fear. She was fear though. She embodied fear. She used fear. It was her greatest ally and her greatest weapon.

She narrowed her eyes in. Not a menacing stare but one that would show she wasn't joking. "You got a problem? I could always push this button on my wrist and watch as you and your droid burn to death from my flamethrower."

In Umbris Potestas Est
Ouch... That wasn't the best way to start things off. Having scratched off some more of HK's rust, he resheathed his sword and looked at the scarlet-haired huntress. She was doing her best to make him fear her.

It wasn't working.

What I've 'got' isn't a problem. The distinct Imperial accent would likely give her second thoughts on what exactly Vitor was. It was merely his natural voice, but still. What I do have, though, are a pair of passes to the home of a diplomat who intends to give a speech outlining military budgets in this sector tomorrow. Fine china, luxurious wine, electrum furnishings... That sort of thing. I would take my droid, but having an actual date to an important social function is... preferable. That, and I doubt they'd let a rusted walking armory like him inside. No offense, @[member="HK-36"].

He smiled at @[member="Serana Williams"] and eyed her flamethrower. Superb miniaturization technology. I've only seen better from Baragwin designs attached to an... annoying droid I once knew. By remaining calm and collected, he would hopefully not start a fight that would burn the building down.

Serana smiled. She liked how straight forward the man was. But he forgot one thing. His name. She laughed at that. Her perfect white teethe sparkled from the light as she did. Out loud to add to his embarrassment. "Sorry. I don't date guys who can't say their name five times fast."

Before she turned back to Miles she sighed and shook her head, smile still on her face. "You and your droid could always join me on my future endeavors." She shook her head again. "I know you are a Jedi. I can tell. What kind of person can get another persons attention without touching them or saying anything." She turned back to Miles.

"Sorry Miles. Some Jedi wants me. I think I'd rather stay with you though." She smiled at him. She liked him for some reason. Something was different about him.

He blew it. His first chance to have some sort of a relationship, and he fraked up. There was no chance in his mind of being able to recover. He stood up off the barstool, paid the bartender, and started to walk away, when he turned back to @[member="Serana Williams"]. He felt the Sith spirit inhabiting his body beginning to dominate his mind once again.

Out loud to Serana, he stated his name, Vitor Imperieuse, five times, not flubbing a single syllable. The catch? Five times in the span of less than two seconds. Faster then he should've been able to speak. The Sith spirit in him gave a last smile to the huntress, a last message to her coming directly into her mind.

Sith generosity should never be taken advantage of. I'd appreciate talking to you outside once you finish with Republic Assault Trooper.

And with that, he walked away, intending to stand outside until she finished her business with the huntress as he began to wrest control of his mind from the spirit.

"So you wanna get out of here?" Serana had enough of the bar. But she wanted to spend some more time with this Miles character. Get to know.

@[member="Serana Williams"]
Miles' temper flared as the Jedi seemed to not get Serana's message. The droid looked as old as the Jedi's eyes appeared. Miles knew better than to keep a lady waiting, Miles polished off his drink and turned to follow Serana. "What kind of work do you do?" "You seem too well trained and equipped for 'a little black dress' [Miles knew she was more than just a pretty face. She seemed dangerous, but that made him want to know more].
