I'll take it! on the basis that i began with the most basic forms of some of the others, cos, i assume we could begin with some talents?

And hoping that holocron training is acceptable sometimes >.>

Basics are fine. Most Padawans start with the ability to do basic Force Push/Pull, a general understanding of Force Sense, and depending on how you want to play your character, an understanding of a single form is generally acceptable.

Just keep it to what is reasonable. A Padawan obviously shouldn't be able to lift a starfighter off the ground and throw it like a baseball for example.

And yes, solo threads with holocron training is acceptable, so long as it's well written.

Orphen has no such power, he can launch an ionic stream from his fingers... 'sometimes' on command, I havn't had a chance yet, but it has a fail rate XD

Pull object to me is cool by him,

and he can like, wave his hand and have small mechanical objects disassemble. probably objects no bigger than a blaster pistol (and obviously that doesn't work if they're like, welded together etc. )

But yeah, that's all on my character sheet :)

I'd be glad to~ I'm down for a thread at any time if you are. :)

-------------------------------------------------

Though, if i can add in a quick question here as well

At what rate is it acceptable to increase in power on chaos? Like, how much work do you guys put in training to increase your characters power in anything, is it like... one thread for one stage? are there power-caps per rank? (Though i would assume not as you have mastered things on your power sheet Seraphina.) Could you train multiple things in one thread? Is it word-count based?

Sorry for the bombardment XD

Hey all.
I wanted to play something a bit offtype for a Galactic Republic member. So the idea of a scholar researching force based sorcery appealed to me.

While starting off somewhat pathetic Lucian has the potential to become a great boon to the Republic as with time he might grow to understand and perhaps even master what is arguably the Siths greatest weapon without losing his allegiance to the Republic (Eternal damnation of his soul non-withstanding).

In any case I look forward to RPing with you all in the future.

True, though, it had a planet crashed into it, and if i remember rightly, the 5 planet system were really close together.

"Increasing" your power should be at a steady pace, not specifically one thread and you go up a level. The reason Ataru is listed as a mastery on Sera's profile is because every single time she is in any kind of fight, or situation where she is wielding two lightsabers, or using acrobatics, I consider it Ataru training because they are the two main principles of the form. That, and she is entirely untrained in almost every single other combat form except Makashi which she started learning as a Padawan from her master, and upon reaching knight I ranked her up due to time passing (I aged her a few years). Officially though, she has had no "formal" RP training in the subject, I have simply used Ataru alot.

And because I have given her relatively no other Force powers, I've focused entirely on telekinesis, so like Ataru, I use those abilities basically whenever it's plausible. So she is really good with that as well.

The key is to train in a feasible manner, not to overdo it, and not to over exaggerate what your character could possibly do. It's one thing to lift up some scrap metal as a Padawan and hurl it at your opponent in a fight, or to try and pull a starkiller and pull a destroyer out of the sky. The latter likely wouldn't fly even if you were the strongest telekinetic on the board.

Many other Knights have a wide variety of skills but are limited in their ability to master them, I've decided to focus solely on TK & Form IV with Sera. If you want to read a thread where even though she is extremely well versed in Form IV & TK, she still loses to a Sith, you can read her losing here: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/51304-a-pleasant-meeting-seraphina-sheltah
