- Primary Source: Not Applicable
- Manufacturer: Unknown, modified by Asha Hex
- Model: Teapot of Serenity
- Affiliation: Asha Hex, The Je'daii Order
- Modularity: Not Applicable
Production: Unique
- Material: Force Strengthened Ceramic, Force-Imbued Crystals
- Highly Strengthened Ceramic; It can withstand intense heats and kinetic damage
- Calming; Tea brewed in this pot will induce a calming sensation in its consumer
- Stronger than your average teapot, it is far less likely to shatter if dropped than other ceramic teapots. It is also able to absorb large amounts of heat, which lessens the impact of blaster shots and lightsaber blows (though anything more than a glancing blow from a lightsaber will still damage it)
- Put your feet up and relax with a nice cup of tea, any tea brewed in this pot will have a calming effect on those who drink it; this is especially apparent in those who were anxious, panicked, or in shock prior to drinking
- It's just a teapot... It wouldn't work well as a weapon, unless you really need something blunt to defend yourself, and it's too small to provide any form of defense
- Force-Nullification will render this just a generic teapot
- Corruption of the crystals will have a negative impact on anyone who drinks from it, likely causing them to feel sick and anxious
- While it can absorb high amounts of heat, that doesn't stop it from giving off that heat if touched. For sometime after it has brewed, or Force forbid it gets shot/touched by an energy weapon, the main section of the teapot will retain that heat and be hot to the touch. While ordinarily this wouldn't be too bad, especially if you mainly touched the handle, after exposure to an energy weapon touching it would be a big mistake
- While it is capable of absorbing high amounts of heat, should the teapot go from an incredibly hot state (as mentioned, having been glanced by some sort of energy weapon) to an incredibly cold state (such as being plunged into water soon after) the teapot is at risk of cracking from the shock. It is always better just to let it cool down naturally where possible, even following a regular brew cycle, just to be safe!
If there's one thing Asha Hex is known for, it's her tea.
She has been growing and brewing her own leaves for as long as she can remember, and whenever she has guests, or meets with somebody new, her first instinct is to provide them with a nice cup in an almost ritualistic fashion. It is merely tradition for her now, and she never leaves home without a trusty teapot.
The actual base of the teapot is one she had for a long time, passed down to her from her Father [member="Jericho"] around the time that she began exhibiting a passion for the delicious beverage, and it was already stronger than most teapots at this point in time due to the efforts of its original manufacturer. This meant that if she dropped it on the durasteel floor of the ship they lived within it wasn't going to shatter, perfect for a child.
Though it served her loyally throughout the years, the further Asha sank into her Je'daii studies and the Force, and the more she brewed tea for friends and guests, the more ideas she had for how to improve upon it. When it came time to finalize her Great Journey, being that her Vur Tepe (Forge) trial was the only one remaining, the notion of Force-Imbuing it to have calming properties came to mind. After all, tea was already calming in and of itself... So why not make it even more so?
Being that Asha has close ties with Mahara Kesh (the Temple of Healing) she figured it could help in her duties further afield from the Order, assisting those who were injured. While it may seem ludicrous to presume tea has any healing benefits - and Asha would never utilize it in place of actual healing or medicine - she had witnessed its abilities to ease off the effects of anxiety and panic, as well as those suffering from shock, bringing their minds back to a more level state of being thanks to the calming qualities of both the tea leaves themselves and the teapot they were brewed within.
