The things we do for a few credits

Coming out of hyperspace in orbit of the remote world Cholganna Siara adjusted her course immediately bringing her Cyhyraeth Light Freighter swiftly down into orbit. She had heard whispers of a recent confrontation here leaving a great deal of salvage, normally she wouldn’t be so interested in salvage but rumors were that there was a great deal of military grade equipment lost to the surface of this jungle world. It was said that it was ripe for the picking for anyone bold enough to try to bypass the army of soldiers who had since taken up residence in a compound in the jungle nearby the crash site of their former command ship. She was figuring on slipping in unnoticed, stripping away anything small enough to fit aboard her ship but still worth enough credits to have justified her trip. Normally she would have undertaken this mission on her own but [member="Crystal"] had insisted on coming along, for what reason was beyond the mercenary but it didn’t matter, she wouldn’t get in the way she had proven herself capable of handling herself.

Descending from orbit swiftly Siara started scanning the surface as she got closer, looking for the crash site. It didn’t take long to find it, it was massive, she also detected the compound of the Sixth Battalion, as near as had been rumored. She smirked to herself, if she had her way they wouldn’t even know she was here. She drove her ship lower until it was cruising just above the treetops of the jungle below seeking an appropriate location to set down near enough to the crash site that it wouldn’t be a hassle to hump whatever she found back but far enough way that it wouldn’t be detected by any salvage operation no doubt already in progress.

Finding herself a nice little clearing to set down in Siara brought the freighter down on its landing struts, powering it down, leaving just enough power on that she would be able to engage the security once she and Crystal were off. She got up from her chair and proceeded to her bunk to gather her gear she opted to go without armor and just a pair of blaster pistols on her hips a rucksack on her back. The less she carried in the more she would be able to carry out after all, she certainly wasn’t going to count on the Sith Sorceress to carry anything, not only did she suspect the other woman wouldn’t anyway but she didn’t want to share any of the profit to be had from this expedition.

Stopping by Crystal’s bunk Siara peeked in. “I am heading for the crash site now, you need to get off the ship as I am engaging the security system, you can come with me or explore the jungle but if you aren’t going to join me keep close to the ship, we are going to have to maintain comm silence, we are pretty close to a military base and there is likely patrols all over this jungle to keep trespassers out.”

Not waiting for a response from the Sith woman the small mercenary woman started down the landing ramp, departing quietly into the treeline, waiting for the other woman to get off the ship before engaging the ships security system, no one would be getting back on board without a great deal of slicing equipment or Siara to disengage it. She started towards the crash site carefully avoiding patrols, unfortunately she accidently tripped one of the hundreds of sensors placed in the jungle which sent a signal back to the military base.

Crystal looked up when Siara peeked in. "I'll go with you. I'm sure you could use another pair of hands." Or you know, someone that could levitate heavy things back to the ship. The Sith Princess had the feeling that she should go with Siara as soon as she heard that the woman was planning to go on a salvage operation. It wasn't for her own amusment as she had claimed, but because she knew that something was going to go wrong. And, it was better that she be there to know what it is, so that she could deal with it.

She got up from where she was seated and followed the Kiffar woman off of the ship and into the trees. Already her danger sense was alerting her to pending doom. But, there was nothing specific that she could report about it. Crystal spoke quietly. "I'm not having good feelings about this place."

Out on a regular patrol Vladimir and Alpha squad were trudging through the forest near the rear of the remains of the Bite the Bullet, he and his squad had been on patrol the past few hours and it had been uneventful but that was to be expected. They occasionally had to arrest a few salvagers or pirates trying to raid the corpse of the Venator but not today. The only alarm triggers they had to respond to over the past few hours were just local fauna stalking through the undergrowth. Some of the sensors were too sensitive because a few of them had picked up small rodents, a waste of time and resources but if it meant the security of the camp and the rest of the Sixth Battalion it was no doubt worth the time.

Looking up in the top corner of his HUD the Hapan man spotted another triggered alarm on the map not more than a kilometer away, he let out a deep sigh but perhaps this would be the real thing. “On me Alpha, let’s check this one out.”

The entire squad followed Vladimir at a slow deliberate pace, there wasn’t any way they could rush there the jungle was too thick. Fortunately it didn’t take long for them to get through to where the sensor had triggered. The Hapan signaled for the men to fan out and search their surroundings. They quickly found a path that had clearly been recently made by a humanoid, two in fact by the evidence. Perhaps today would be interesting after all thought the Hapan as the squad formed up to follow the trail.

A few minutes later they were on top of the two would be salvagers, Alpha squad kept their distance as they evaluated the two. Neither woman looked all that impressive but that meant nothing, they could very well be dangerous and disguised as innocents. Innocent women didn’t make their way to Cholganna though, this wasn’t a tourist destination after all. Vladimir signaled the squad to close in on the women as he advanced from the rear. He scanned both women for weapons, he spotted a pair of blasters on the hips of the woman with the rucksack and there was something in the small of the back of the other woman but he couldn’t tell what it was, it was potentially a weapon but a relatively inaccessible one where it was placed.

As Alpha advanced around the women they stopped in cover as their Sergeant stepped out of cover. They all had their weapons trained on the two women ready to fire at the first sign of trouble. “Stop right there, drop your weapons and take two steps backwards towards me.”

Vladimir watched and waited for the two women to react in some way his weapon at the ready on his hip watching for the slightest twitch of movement other then what he had ordered.

As they stepped away from the ship and [member="Crystal"] expressed her reservations Siara couldn’t help but smirk. “I don’t know what you could possibly feel could go wrong here, we are only a long way from home and reinforcements in a jungle likely full of predators twice as strong and fast as us, a few klicks from a military base full of soldiers who won’t take too kindly to our presence if we are caught trying to raid a crashed ship that is likely full of its own dangers. Should just be a walk in the park for someone of your skills, I know you don’t care about credits but there is too much profit potential to pass up here.”

Moving through the jungle Siara tried her best not to disturb their surroundings but she was used to urban combat and more concerned with the task ahead of her then ensuring their trail couldn’t be picked up. She was already underestimating the soldiers in the camp she had never met or seen fight the Crusade had her fighting too many inferior opponents of late and she was getting sloppy.

She pressed through the jungle towards the ship as she started to note how quiet it had gotten, the local fauna had retreated and she and Crystal alone were not enough of a reason for that kind of reaction. “Sithspit. Seems we have attracted attention, we are being followed.”

Scanning the jungle as her hands reached for her blasters on her hips the mercenary didn’t even get the opportunity to draw them before instructions came from behind her. Siara had spotted a little bit of movement around her but could only place two soldiers one of them being the man standing behind her she knew there was more out there. She grabbed her blasters gently from her holsters holding both by the butt so to show she wasn’t going to fire, they were outnumbered and outgunned she wasn’t foolish enough to start a fight she couldn’t win. She dropped both blasters on the ground and backed away towards the voice turning slowly towards him showing her hands and a bright though not genuine smile.

“Sorry, we got a little lost, perhaps you could direct us?” Siara attempted to inject a bit of humor into the situation, perhaps if they appreciated it they would have mercy and let them loose, it wasn’t likely but she could dream.

Crystal knew she was wasting her time in expressing the sense she was getting. Siara described it all, and still didn't seem to care. She wondered what it would be like to be as financially unstable as Siara seemed to be. It seemed she was willing to get caught, killed, tortured or worse, for credits. That was a little extreme. Very little in the galaxy was worth all of that. But nevertheless, they'd already set things in motion that could not be undone.

"As you wish, but don't say I didn't give you fair warning." The Sith Master said firmly. And they kept walking. They weren't alone. By the time Siara would realize it, they would be surrounded, of that she was certain.

The Sith Princess rubbed her tongue over her top teeth to keep from commenting. Of course they were being followed. Why did she think that Crystal was warning her? It didn't matter now. Crystal was almost amused watching Siara try to sweet talk her way out of this mess. But she had an idea.

"Thank the Force that you're here! This woman kidnapped me!" She moved toward one of the soldiers, gripping his elbow and shying behind him, which wasn't difficult considering how small her stature was. "My family has a lot of money and will reward you for service to our house."

Did she expect them to buy it? No, but now she was in a better position to negotiate, with Force. And you know, there was always the possibility that there would be some slicing and dicing. Still, she was committed to trying this angle. Her hand slid across his back and the Sith Princess called his comm device to her hand before making it disappear into her sleeve.

As both women responded, first the woman with the blasters, then the other woman with the unidentified object against her back Vladimir couldn’t help but doubt them, they were causing quite a distraction for his men. The fact that the first woman disarmed herself gave her some credibility though she most certainly wasn’t lost the empty rucksack on her back spoke to that. The other woman had been following the first woman through the jungle as they arrived, that story didn’t hold water either.

Alpha squad reformed around the woman the soldier [member="Crystal"] had approached was already pulling back away from her adjusting his aim so he had her in his sights again as Vladimir interrupted her. “I am going to have to take you both into custody until your story can be verified ma’am.” He signaled one of his men to approach and take the first woman’s blasters off the ground but he was less concerned with her as the other woman who may or may not be armed still.

“If you could be so kind as to remove whatever it is you have in the small of your back and toss it to me Miss we can get underway back towards the camp.” Vladimir instructed quietly.

Well, they weren't being shot, so she supposed that was something. Captured wasn't really an option, but Siara had already locked up the ship. She couldn't leave without Siara, but that didn't mean that she would be sitting in a cell. For a long moment she considered whether or not to surrender the lightsaber hilt. It wouldn't do well for one of them to activate it and slice their face off. Instead, she used the Force to alter her appearance, effectively eliminating the hilt from it's place. The illusion would be very real for those that were unaware of the Force and it's many manipulations.

"I have nothing." Crystal said. She raised her hands before lifting the back of her shirt for him to see for himself.

Raising an eyebrow just slightly behind his helmet as the woman raised the back of her shirt to reveal nothing Vladimir questioned how that was possible, he had definitely seen something. He had to assume it was some really advanced sleight of hand or a trick of the force. He was quite accustomed to working with Jedi at this point and had seen them perform all sorts of feats that the average member of their species couldn’t possibly hope to replicate, it wasn’t much of a stretch of his imagination to believe this could be the case here. He did wonder if this woman was a force user what was she doing here on Cholganna, there wasn’t anything aboard the Bite the Bullet that would hold any value to a force user that he was aware of. Certainly nothing in the original manifest he had been over it a couple dozen times as they recovered more and more from the wreck. The presence of the first woman made sense by the way she carried herself he figured she was some sort of mercenary or pirate, she certainly wasn’t a lost as she claimed to be.

With the safety of his squad in question Vladimir indicated both women should stay exactly where they were as he got on his comm back to base. He quietly spoke into the mic so their captives could not overhear, a test for the second woman of sorts he watched her intently, if she showed even the slightest sign she had overheard that would be confirmation in his mind that she was a force user of some sort. “Alpha squad reporting in, we have located two trespassers near the west side of the wreck. They claim to be lost but all signs indicate they are here to raid the wreck for salvage. One of them may be a force user that I believe is still armed and likely quite dangerous. I need more marines here to bring these two in.”

There was a muffled response in the earpiece that neither woman would have any hope of hearing as Vladimir nodded. He signaled two of the marines to approach each woman carefully, they took the rucksack from the first woman and inspected it before setting it aside. “Ok ladies, you will have to excuse our brashness but we need to pat you down for hidden weapons, can’t have you slipping anything into the camp that could be dangerous.”

The marines started to pat down Siara, they were nothing if not professional as the made sure she had no other weapons. The other two approached [member="Crystal"] to do the same as the rest of the squad kept their weapons trained on both women, their weapons ready to cut down either woman if they made even the slightest aggressive motion. While this was all going on other squads were closing in from around as Vladimir had requested, it wouldn't take them long to get there as they had also been out on patrols in the nearby jungle.

Crystal was monitoring Vladimir's thoughts, and was a little amused that he'd already managed to suspect her of being a Force user. That probably meant that he'd encountered one already. It didn't matter already. She could hear him calling for back up. That wasn't good for her. It was time to go.

Silently, she communicated to [member="Siara Vorru"]. ~I'm going to vanish and call for assistance from the Crusade. May the Force be with you until they arrive.~

Two marines approached her, and others were coming. It was definitely time to go, before more guns arrived. She took a couple of steps away before jumping aided by the Force, into a tree. And then to another and another before hitting the ground and running at top speed. She had to put a great deal of distance between herself and the marines. And, she had to cover her tracks. Above, the sky darkened. Clouds grew dark and satiated. And the air below got damp and cold.

Thunder roared, and the down pour began. Crystal kept running, and she jumped into a dense tree filled area. Carefully she climbed up a tree and made herself comfortable.

Muttering to herself about having to be taken into custody Siara noted how well Crystal was concealing her weapon, she silently wished she had those kinds of skills. Just the thought of the credits she could make with that type of power made her head spin a little. This wouldn’t be the first time she spent a night behind bars and no doubt it wouldn’t be the last time either, she was always getting herself into this kind of trouble but somehow she always managed to get herself out. She watched the soldiers fidget around trying to keep from getting too close to either woman without control of them and as their leader spoke with whomever was further up the chain then him she glanced at the Sith wondering if she was going to try to cut them all down. She had seen the other woman in action before and knew she was quite capable but these soldiers were no joke, they were organized, well-equipped and professional. If she wasn’t so over confident in her own skills she may have even gone so far as to evaluate them as being better than her but of course that was impossible no one was better than her.

“A good night’s rest in a cell would do me some good, it has been awhile since I’ve slept on a good cot but since I am being so cooperative I would appreciate if I was given a cell with a view, this is such a pretty planet.” Siara said with a smile towards the man in charge.

“Ok ladies, you will have to excuse our brashness but we need to pat you down for hidden weapons, can’t have you slipping anything into the camp that could be dangerous.”

Shrugging ever so slight Siara spread let the soldiers pat her down. “See, nothing that can hurt you only parts left are attached and they are only for fun.” She said with a wink towards the nearest soldier of course she wasn’t really interested in any of them but perhaps it would disarm them a little.

As the soldiers moved in to pat down Crystal she left a message in Siara’s mind which pissed the other woman off, her expression soured. She absolutely hated when the force users around her planted thoughts in her head, even if they were only messages it proved she was vulnerable to their tricks. She watched the other woman take off and yelled after her. “Sure leave me here, I’ll just go back to this base with my new friends here. Perhaps I’ll tell them a few of your secrets!”

Of course she wasn’t serious about that threat, [member="Crystal"] and the Crusade still paid the bills and until that changed she wouldn’t telling any truths to these soldiers. She would be content to spend whatever time was necessary in whatever cell they placed her in. If the Sith was true to her word she would bring backup that could break her out of whatever confines they tried to hold her in. These soldiers may be professional but they had never faced the likes of the soldiers of the Moross Crusade.

As the woman proved herself to be a force user nearly the entire squad opened fire trying to bring her down before she escaped. Two of the marines kept their weapons trained on the other woman ready to fire if she tried anything at all. Vladimir tracked the woman into the treeline trying to hit her but she was faster than him by a fair margin and the thick jungle allowed her to disappear quickly. “Base this is Alpha, we have a confirmed hostile force user on the planet we are bringing our other captive back to base, I suggest we recall all patrols until we can re-equip for this kind of engagement.”

Looking up into through a gap in the trees Vladimir could see the storm clouds forming overhead, it started to pour down buckets. The storm seemed to have come out of nowhere it was too coincidental, he figured this force user had some part in it and it was certainly confirmed when the rain started to change to snow. He had never seen snow on Cholganna and this jungle suggested it didn’t happen naturally.

“Put the other one in binders and blinders we aren’t taking any chances.” Vladimir ordered as more marines started to fill the area. The two members of Alpha squad closest to their captive took Siara roughly in their grip placing a set of binders on her wrists behind her back and a blindfold over her eyes. All of the marines filed out back towards the base with Vladimir escorting the woman personally.

“Ooo kinky, well whatever floats your boat boys. Don’t be too rough with me though.” Siara quipped as they arrested her.

An hour or so later the marines were entering the base which was on a fairly high alert at this point, they took hostile force users rather seriously around here. Vladimir escorted his prisoner to a holding cell before reporting to General [member="Hasjo Hallu"]’s office. Knocking before he entered he took his helmet off, holding it at his side saluting the Jedi General.

“Sir I take full responsibility for the botched handling of this obviously dangerous prisoner, I should have done a better job of anticipating the risk she presented. My men performed to the best of their abilities given my inadequate commands.” Vladimir regretted not being able to secure both prisoners, this escaped force user presented a threat to them all. “I also regret to report that she may have managed to secure communications equipment from one of my men while we were trying to secure her. She may be able to use it to call for reinforcement. If that is the case we may want to do the same, I get the sense that neither of these women is working alone. I would suggest we interrogate the woman we have locked in the cell block as soon as possible to learn what kind of threat we are facing.”

(Sorry tossed a Siara line in there, not going to post a one line post in after this one.)

Camp Chattahoochee
Communications Centre
Sub-Level One

The transceiver burst to life as an officer regulated the wavelengths, Chhht!Base this is Alpha, we have a confirmed hostile force user on the planet we are bringing our other captive back to base, I suggest we recall all patrols until we can re-equip for this kind of engagement.Chhht! Tech Officer Manuel Bonetti spun in his chair, wiring the communication straight to the office of Hasjo Hallu. Alarms began to blare, fireteams were mobilising. Technicians poured over the data from the sensor relays. They could scan a vast swath of land, this force user wasn't escaping them. Over one-thousand square kilometres, multiple relays dotted the landscape. The Camp was fenced off with near-fatal electrical discharges - if one touched the wires. The encampment was 11.7 kilometres long and 9.4 kilometres wide. Although the compound was large, most of it was jungle. A small two-hundred square metre spot of land had been gutted to fit in a handful of barracks and an elevator. The compound was largely underground, with everything from armouries to communication centres and medical bays.

Hasjo glanced up from his desk where he studied the final makings of his MLSS-II. One of his charges had entered the room, Vladimir spoke, “Sir I take full responsibility for the botched handling of this obviously dangerous prisoner, I should have done a better job of anticipating the risk she presented. My men performed to the best of their abilities given my inadequate commands.
"Worry not, officer," Hasjo replied calmly with his lifeless, emotionless synthesised voice. He shuffled the highly sensitive documents into a desk draw, three down. A click was heard after shutting it, automatically locked. Passcode encrypted. "Not everyone is equipped to handle force-sensitives." Hasjo retrieved something from the first draw before he could speak again. He held out a military insignia, Gunnery Sergeant. "Your promotion, for your efforts during the battle with the New Order. Your willingness to serve, and your creativity have served the Sixth Battalion greatly. When your duty is finished at the end of this day, speak to Petty Officer Marcus Hernandez. He'll brief you on your promotion." He tossed the insignia onto the table, towards Vladimir, motioning to him, "Now speak."
I also regret to report that she may have managed to secure communications equipment from one of my men while we were trying to secure her. She may be able to use it to call for reinforcement. If that is the case we may want to do the same, I get the sense that neither of these women is working alone. I would suggest we interrogate the woman we have locked in the cell block as soon as possible to learn what kind of threat we are facing.
"The transceivers aren't long-range. She won't be able to use it to inform anyone outside of this system. Though I want all seventeen sensor relays locked down by three fireteams per relay. If she gets a hand on those relays, we'll have a bigger threat on our hands. I'll track her down personally. Secure the prisoner, and lock down those relays, Gunnery Sergeant." Hasjo waved his hand, dismissing the officer. He had never been one for formalities. The Nautolan always seemed to be occupied. Petty Officer Hernandez stood at the door, hands clasped behind his back. Posture straight and at attention, ready to escort the officer out of the room.

From the perch in the tree, she took out the communicator that she'd lifted from one of the Marines, and listened. They were retreating for now. So she had time. Crystal pulled out her own comm device, which was paired with the communications system of Siara's ship and tapped in an all too familiar frequency. Her ex-husband's frequency.

She recorded a message, with audio only. "Hello Cameron. Things have gone badly here, as I knew that they would and I could use some assistance in rescuing Siara. We're on Cholganna, for that salvage operation. She's been taken into custody by well armed military personnel. There's a large base here at least partially underground. And, there are other Force Sensitives on the planet. I am presently biding my time and monitoring their communications."

Rain turned to snow, and minutes turned into hours. No one was approaching. The Sith Princess used Tapas to keep her body temperature at a normal level.

Cameron was just about to take a massive bite out of some delicious food when his communicator began beeping incessantly. With a slow roll of his silver-green eyes, the Sith Lord dropped the utensil and picked up his communicator. Before he could say anything, the sound of Priestess Carter's voice could distinctly be heard. A curious brow arched for but a moment before Cameon exhaled heavily. "Salvage operation." The Mask of Aatrox recalled some obscure mention of something similar. Naturally he'd paid it little mind as it was more a concern for the Lord Crusader. "You knew things would go bad...and yet you elected to go without any support. Smart." Glancing at his warm meal, Cameron waved a dismissive hand to send it flying into the wall. Meal time needed to be more sacred. Maybe he needed to proclaim it so. "Just stay alive."

Disconnecting the transmission, Cameron came to his feet and pulled the hood of his cloak over his head. Speaking to one of the dark blue and gray robed figured in the room, he issued swift instructions. "Have the Nemesis prepared and mobilize the Shadows." There was no response, merely the rustle of fabric as the followers of Aatrox were set to purpose. Withdrawing his datapad, the Sith Lord quickly distributed a message to the Aesirs and the Blade of Kalee.

Crusaders captured on Cholganna.
Short and to the point. Cameron had not gone as far as to find out any amplifying information on the planet just yet. On his way to his personal vessel, Cameron stopped by the Hall of Ithari. Unceremoniously, he swept in and allowed his hooded gaze to fall on those presents. Naturally...someone immediately took offense, noting only the colors of his clothing.

"Aatrox is not welcome in these halls. You have no--"

Cameron raised a hand to seize the speaker by the throat before twisting his wrist. A resounding crunch was all that followed prior to Cameron's deep voice touching the air of the dimly lit room. "...patience for self-righteous upstarts. Warriors of Ithari, your fellow Crusaders require your assistance. Embrace glory or wallow in weakness." As he turned and prepared to retreat, he concluded his comments. "I leave it to you to figure out which your God prefers."

Fifteen minutes later, the Sith Lord was boarding the Nemesis with his men. He trusted that the bulk of forces would be carted on Crusade vessels behind him shortly. Always during food time with this woman...

The Hapan man had come to expect the cold unemotional responses from the General that didn’t surprise him, the promotion however did catch him off guard. He took the insignia from the Jedi Master, examining it briefly before returning his attention to the General who was giving him new orders. He saluted the other man and walked out with the Petty Officer escorting him without another word, he was so distracted by the rather unexpected promotion that he wasn’t giving his full attention to anything yet.

“Central this is Sergeant Kirov, I need seventeen squads to form up on the martially yard in ten the General has a mission for them.” Vladimir instructed, normally he wouldn’t command this many men but he had done so a few times already with the Sixth in extreme situations so it wasn’t anything new. “Have a fireteam sent to the cell block to keep our guest company as well.”

“Acknowledged Sergeant.” Central responded.

As he stopped by the cell block he could see the woman had wormed herself somewhat loose, the binders were now in front of her and the blindfold was gone. That had certainly not taken long Vladimir thought, no doubt there was more to this woman then the show she was putting on for them but he didn’t have time to indulge that thought long as the Fireteam reported to the cell block. “Keep an eye on her and don’t for a moment let your guard down, she is dangerous.”

With a nod of acknowledgement the Fireteam leader as they took up positions around the room watching over the woman in the cell. Vladimir left the block and headed for the comm center, he still had time before the squads would be formed up for instructions and the missing comm unit was a bit of a concern for him. He stepped in and approached the officer on duty in the room and pulled him aside quickly. “We lost one of our comm units to the hostile force user, it was already preprogramed with our encryptions, and no doubt she has figured out how to use it to tap into our communications. I think we should leave the link open, not tip her off to the discovery of it missing it could prove to be a valuable asset in tracking her down. We should however switch mission critical communications to a different frequency and encryption.”

“I will take it under advisement, but it is up to General [member="Hasjo Hallu"] to make such a decision ultimately. I will forward your recommendation with my endorsement.”

With a nod Vladimir departed the comm room to get to the marshalling yard, no doubt by now the squads had formed up as he had instructed. He stepped out on the field quite satisfied with the efficiency of the squads who had been dispatched to assist with the orders he had to relay for the General.

“Welcome men, as many of you probably know by now we have a critical situation brewing, we have a hostile force user somewhere in the jungle. She is extremely dangerous and we need to make sure she is now allowed to escape the planet. That said we will be deploying a squad to every one of the sensor relays, all reports will be routed directly to me. Though these people have presented the appearance of lost travellers and their actions suggest they are nothing more than illegal salvagers looking for an easy haul I have a feeling they represent something bigger and our sensor net could be a valuable asset in tracking down this fugitive as it is.” Vladimir paused for a moment. “Each squad will be reporting directly to me for the duration of this mission. Draw cold weather gear from the armory it is unnaturally cold out there at the moment, no doubt courtesy of our fugitive. Any questions?”

Vladimir looked across the field for any sign of a question and after pausing an appropriate time spoke up again. “No? Fall out.”

Each squad leader approached Vladimir and drew their assignments before departing to equip and deploy their squads. Finally Vladimir did the same with his squad, heading for the furthest most sensor relay.

Being blindfolded and marched through the jungle was annoying to Siara, she already knew there was a base here, and she didn’t care where it was. If she was here scouting for the Crusade no doubt that information would prove useful but she was here for herself. In fact if they really didn’t want her to know where this base was they would have just escorted her from the system, as it was she had little doubt her arrest would bring a response of some sort from the Crusade. Self-important and self-absorbed as she was she figured herself rather important in their overall plans, they did spend quite a lot of credits on her continued employment.

As she felt them transition from the uneven ground of the jungle into the manufactured surface of some sort Siara started counting her steps and though they did a good job of trying to confuse her senses she had a pretty good sense of where she was in the compound and how she could reverse her direction to get out if she had to break out. She stepped into the cell hearing it lock behind her leaving her alone. She smirked to herself and sat on the floor bring the binders up under her knees. She raised her feet off the ground and slid them down behind the binders freeing her hands a little bit. She grabbed the blindfold and pulled it down.

Not more than a couple minutes later four soldiers entered the room closely followed by the man who had taken her prisoner. Siara could clearly see his face now, he didn’t once make eye contact with her despite her intense stare. She watched him leave, clearly busy with whatever chaos [member="Crystal"] was causing.

“Are all you boys here for little old me? You are missing out on all the fun I am no threat.” Siara said with a smile. "Well as long as you are here could one of you possibly get me something to eat? I am famished.”

There was no response from any of the marines, definitely professional soldiers, not easily goaded. “Well you guys aren’t any fun.”

Getting up on her feet she stretched her legs inspecting her cell trying to figure a way out if a rescue didn’t come soon she would make an escape attempt without it, she wasn’t all that patient.

Hasjo Hallu stood behind the chair of a tech officer in the Communications Centre. They were beginning to change their encryptions and frequencies, taking only a matter of minutes. "Sir" the officer announced, glancing over his shoulder to the General. "We're picking up a whisper from an unidentified vessel. The encryption isn't our own. It's sending out a long-range signal. Calculating coordinates now." The Exotic Weapons Master clasped a firm hand on the mans shoulder, "Good work." He leaned forward, "Send a wire back to Voss. Bounce it off Toola first, I don't want them backtracking the message." Pushing off the chair, the Jedi Master began to make his way for the service elevator. Topside, the Duros Fireteam Pool was mobilising for combat. This wasn't their first rodeo with force sensitives. But night was approaching, and they wouldn't be leaving this night. Cholganna was a deadly planet during the day. Though on the continent of Indona, and during the night, it became only worse. During such times all search teams were called off. No military personnel were allowed outside the compound. The Nexu would hunt under the moonlight. Better let the natural predators hunt their prey than waste valuable resources. The fireteams would be transported by ship to their sensor relays and remain indoors throughout the night. Fireteam Pool would walk the compounds fence, and Hasjo would prepare for tomorrow.

Ah it was a very nice day to take a break. I had been working out and going to the guy to keep myself physically capable to preform. I had a towel over my neck as I opened my door. Taking the towel and rubbing it against my neck and wipe the sweat from me. I started to take my clothes off ready for a shower. Literally I got my shoes off, took off my sports bra halfway when I got a blip on my communicator. Pulling the bra back down to cover myself, I activated the com And a single message popped up sent from [member="Cameron Centurion"], and not just to me. But to Neth, Inari, and Kalee.

Crusaders captured on Cholganna.
I shook my head, knowing that I would likely not be getting a shower now. it took my about ten minutes to gear up in my Zealot armor, with my Beskad, having to search for hours to find it after the Mask of Aatrox had thrown it into the lake, and a training saber. Looking to my left arm, it activated into a shield of a white glow. By having this armor built for me, I had asked for a more powerful shield to be made much like the Echani Dueling shield that I had used as an apprentice and a Knight. It worked perfectly. Shutting it off, I then walked out and aimed to be ready for this rescue mission.

For once in my life, I would not have to be the damsel in distress.

About ten minutes later, I was taking flight in my Cyhraeth-class freighter with a crew of ten men, including myself. I decided not to fly the ship so I could get some rest on the ride there. I didn't like to use a huge fleet against people for a rescue mission. Even then, why send thousands upon thousands of troops, when the same could be done with just a group of a few hundred. But, I was not the one in charge here. Only when I heard a beep, I answered with a yes. "Blade, we a currently coming up on the Nemesis. What would you like us to do?" I shook my head. "Oh bloody hell, I can't do anything around here."
"What Ma'am?"
"Nothing, Just get me a line to the bridge."
"Yes Ma'am."
