Whispers began to fill Vexander's mind, different voices talked to his head... it was not just the voices of those present in the real world but also their counterparts from Vex's visions. They all sounded in unison sometimes, mostly when they were calling to him; but the rest of time it was just related to similar things to what the other voice said before: "One of us needs to go..."
The Master's focus was shattered since the moment he stepped into the planet... but things were just worst at the moment. His judgement was just being clouded and by something different than the darkside... it was just like if he was deceiving himself into something... but it was something elusive.
Coci... Athrun... Vexander... such a lovely bunch that don't belong here... one of us needs to go.
Vexander looked closely... tried his hard for his eyes to focus into something... into someone... within just a few moments, his racing mind began to come to a conclusion: one of them needs to disappear.
The Jedi's eyes showed grief and regret... he was about to do something that he was not proud of but someone had to go. Raising the hand that had the lightsaber, he was just a second away from throwing a blow when the buzz and whispering, the visions and the focus disappeared and when the clear voice in his mind spoke once again
Do you feel it Vex? We are being watched...
The Master's eyes opened widely for a moment but he didn't look around. His connection to the Force was somehow restored enough to sense that indeed someone was around... but not strong enough to know who or what.
"There is something else around here..." whispered to Coci. Taking advantage of the moment, he opened a telepathic link to her and proceeded to share a small conversation from the prying eyes and ears of the unknown sentient present... perhaps other Force sensitives would hear such telepathic conversation, especially when Vex was not as focused as he should have Coci, we need to fake the attack... trust me... we are being watched...
With a milimetric precision, Vex launched a blow aimed to Coci, hoping that she would get the message and go with the fake attack in order to avoid alerting to whoever was watching that they knew... the only problem was: would she believe it was indeed a fake attack?
