Private The Tipping Point

Katherine nodded her head in response. “I have, although only sparsely. Which is surprising, given how often I’ve taken pit stops at the Noble’s home.” But then again, if there was one thing known about Nobles; and in extension their Padawans, was that they rarely remained idle for long periods of time.

The Padawan took one last look around the training room, ensuring everything was back in its place. Which for the most part it was, the only real sign left of her outburst were the scuff and scratch marks where some of the training droids had hit the walls and floor.

Well, given I think I’ve eaten almost everything the temple mess hall has to offer.” Katherine began, floating behind Zaiya as the Lovalla led the way towards the door. “My vote goes to venturing out and seeing what’s nearby!

Zaiya's skin shimmered with curious citrine as she grinned at Katherine, thinking of Aris and Vera. "Surprising is right. Guess that's just how Nobles are -- always on the move. Sitting still? Not their thing."

She glanced around the training room, her stripes flashing bronze-tinted yellow for a moment as she noted the lingering scuff marks. No point in dwelling on it now.

"Alright, venturing out it is," she said, her colors brightening to a cheerful ombre of irridecent teals as she pushed open the door, her patterns flickering light blue with playful anticipation. "Let's see what's out there... There is a good noodle shop that I know of that sells pretty good Gluk noodles but we can find something else if that isn't your thing."

With that, the two Padawans stepped into the lively temple halls, ready for whatever the day had in store.

"So how long have you've been with the Order?"
Zaiya asked, curious.

As Katherine hovered alongside Zaiya, it dawned on her that the emotions she had been feeling before had truly slipped from the forefront of her mind.

The rage, guilt and self-doubt.

None of them were truly gone, Katherihe knew that. Somewhere deep within her they remained, waiting for the next opportunity to rear their heads again. But the Lovalla had been just the right kind of calming presence Katherine had needed.

Well if they get your recommendation, then Gluk noodles it is!

Katherine couldn’t help but smile as they continued on through the temple halls. She had missed this, meeting someone; especially someone new, and heading off onto a little adventure. Unfortunately, those opportunities became more distant as the Padawan grew more focused on being out in the galaxy fighting.

Zaiya’s question had Katherine pause for several moments, trying to calculate the exact answer. “Hmm, you know what? I think I lost count at some point.” She replied, chuckling lightly. “It’s been a few years at the very least. I was in a bit of a bad situation, and Master Kahlil was the one who found me and brought me into the Order.
