Following the departure of Fleet Admiral Auriana from Mandalorian space, and her alignment with a new Imperial force, the new group requested MandalArms to begin their own Star Destroyer project. Following the success of this original class, a unique and far larger craft was commissioned for the Admiral herself as a command ship.
This design does retain the design flaw of the Imperial-class vessels; that of the rear blind spot. Somewhat mitigated by sensors, point defences and shields, it thus proved as impossible to mount large capital class weapons on the stern of a vessel of this shape and type.
MandalArms secured supplies of rare and powerful Kyber crystals for the main MM-1 megamasers, making them as powerful and dangerous as any in the Galaxy. With both arrays of standard and octuple barbette batteries built using the crystals, this vessel has some of the most advanced weaponry in the galaxy. With the power requirements for such formidable weapons, more advanced reactor designs were needed to keep pace.
With a strong hull made of Doonium, with Transparisteel viewports, and a Quadanium steel frame, the Destroyer is built tough. Add to this powerful shields and point defences, and it outperforms and outfights most anything else in its class. Though it is not a fast or maneuverable vessel, it is armed with a plethora of offensive weapons.
Designed to be the ultimate expression of Chiss Ascendancy power, this colossal ship is part warship, part terror weapon, and a fine and capable line vessel.
