The void and the Stone.

[member="Sophie Gustav"]

The night had fallen once again on Coruscant. After a training session with therself, tempering her telekinetic power Lisa had moved to the chowhall at the Sith academy and sat scarfing down a plate of fish and some strange grain from the outer rim.

She hated the food here, and didn't each much, but she had to keep her body alive somehow. As she ate her thoughts drifted to Sophie and their little excursion a few weeks before. She had initiated the girl into the darkness before her master got to her. that had ticked off her master a bit. Lisa released a soft chuckle and got up, tossing her plate in the trash.

She walked over the temple steps, with their thousand years of history and down into the corrupted gardens. She sat down on a stone bench, kicking her feet up on a nearby remains of flower bed and reached out with the force closing her eyes.

Sophie would hear a small whisper in the back of her mind.

"Want to go out, off planet!"

As night was coming to head on Courascant Sophie was in her quarters, having her dinner alone with her pet Devourer Sebastian. While she dined on the richer fruits provided by her master the great beast pup was chowing down on a large piece of bantha meat. The two seemed to be enjoying their meals while Sophie was a little preoccupied with her own thoughts. She was thinking on how her master had granted her so many abilites but they'd yet to delve into the area of lightsaber combat. But then again maybe it just wasn't the right time. Sophie had already learned skills in both the force and sith alchemy but saber combat was still an unknown region to her. Hopefully in time that would change.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of [member="Lisa Ticon"] speaking to her from somewhere. Apparently even Sebastian had heard it as he stood and barked for a moment, looking around to find the source. Sophie knew it was her, not only by the voice but the fact she was speaking to her this way at all.

Where are you? She asked in her thoughts to try and figure if she was close or far away.

Lisa chuckled as she replied. Sophie was still a bit shy from the Jedi order. She surely had gotten a speaking too after their last adventure. Lisa was eager to get out of here however, and Sophie so far was her only friend within the wretched grounds of the Sith.

"Im in the garden, come down!" Lisa projected back. From her position laying down she moved upright coming to a full sit and watched the skylanes.

The speeders and ships churned lazily by, their lights making the night like a small sun. Neon signs flashed far off and a chilly wind rustled the leaves of the decaying plants, drawing fog from her breath.

Hearing she was in the garden did ease Sophie a little. Last time she was with Lisa it was on a little trip into Undercity that wound up being a slight against her master; even though she wasn't that upset. Still, in order to play things safe, Sophie had made for the comm link while saying Okay. I'll be there in a bit. After reaching the comm she told one of the servants in the temple to inform that she would be with [member="Lisa Ticon"] in case she worried. At least now she would have an excuse for being out and about if she was asked.

After that Sophie made her way down into the garden part of the temple, Sebastian following close behind. The devourer pup was already four feet high and still so young. Eventually he'd be bigger than Sophie, but he was already a loyal companion and guard dog at is was. It was more clear when, as she walked through the temple, Sebastian gave little growls to the people they passed as if indication if they tried anything against her they'd have to go through him.

When both reached the garden Sophie had seen where Lisa was, walking up to her and saying "I heard you've been knighted. Congratulations."

"I was! Thank you!"

Lisa jumped up and waved. She had a long night ahead of her. Lisa intended to be gone for a few days at least and so had brought a rucksack full of supplies in her ship. She noted Sophie was not wearing much besides her clothes. She couldn't even see her saber. Then she was curious if the girl even had one.

"Sooo how did the whole coming back to the temple late thing go over?"

Lisa laughed as she said it.

"Want to go on a weekend voyage, if your master doesn’t object of course."

To her first question Sophie answered "A little bit better than I feared. My master now wants to be informed wherever I go when I'm not with her in training. Not that I can blame her, though. What we did was just childish fun. But I need to take things more serious now." Then came her next question to which Sophie scoffed and asked "Are you serious?" before seeing she was. "I...I don't know. I still have so much to do. I need to train. And I don't want to risk angering my master because I was gone for two days. Plus I'm not so sure Sebastian is even ready for a trip." she indicated the devourer sitting next to her now.

"C'mon, cant you just leave a message for her! I wanna take you to a new place. You can always practice on the way!"

Lisa was chomping at the bit to go. there was a restless fire in her soul and she longed to get off this planet, away from everything. She longed for the void...

Sophie felt conflicted. She wanted to go but she worried what her master would say. There was potential to go with [member="Lisa Ticon"] and possibly learn a thing or two from her, but what would her master say? It would go one way or another, good or bad. There were pros and cons to either choice. It even came to where she looked to Sebastian, who only gave a confused whimper and tilted his head at her. With a deep sigh Sophie looked around, spotting a servant.

"You!" she called, making the young rodian girl stop and hurry over to her. "Tell my master I'll be gone for the weekend. And have someone take care of Sebastian for me. If I find he's been neglected or mistreated, it'll be your head. Understood?" The girl bowed and ran off, Sophie petting her beast's head before looking to Lisa and saying "Okay. Let me get my things."

"Alright! Meet me at the hangar in five minutes."

Lisa darted away at full speed, running out of the garden and towards the hangars. When she got to her bulky CR-90 he powered her up, letting the reactors run a full cycle and began to start some stimcaf on the pot. She was all fired up for her trip and eager to cause some trouble. They were going far far away, away from prying eyes and ears.

Lisa sat back, waiting for Sophie...

Returning to her room with Sebastian Sophie had taken a few minutes to pack her things. A change of clothes, along with a few extra clothing depending on where Lisa planned on taking her. She left a separate note for her master while putting a P.S. on taking care of Sebastian. The devourer pup himself had been tended to, Sophie giving him a goodbye before leaving him to wait in the room. He was distressed, seeing as this would be the first time she would be away from him, but it was for the best. He needed time alone from her to learn true loyalty, as she hoped he'd still be waiting on she returned. Eventually she reached the hanger and found Lisa in her ship. Hopping in with her she looked over and nodded, indicating she was ready for the trip.

Lisa handed cup of Caf to Sophie and moved towards the cockpit taking a seat. After several minutes of typing into her keyboards she fire up the vessel and tilted back on the yoke. As they rose she switched on the holonet in the corner watching it as she piloted them out of there.

The news of the Manaan assault was all over it. Lisa turned it off, preferring not to recall anything about that and sipped her caf again.

"We're gonna go for a ride to a far out planet I once helped capture for the Ravens."

Within minutes they roared up through the atmosphere, shields absorbing the heat as the hull became flames. The nav computer ticked down the seconds to jump and Lisa braced herself for the feeling she hated most.

3.....2.....1....

Her stomach lurched as the ship made the jump, launching them with force into hyperspace.

With the cup handed to her Sophie dropped her bag wherever and followed Lisa to the cockpit. She sat down in the seat next to hers while taking little sips as she watched her prepare the ship. As she listened Sophie perked at mention of the Ravens, saying "That criminal organization we've been friends with for a while now, right? I hear they've been more beneficial than some originally thought. Guess it helps to have more hands for -WHOA!" was the last thing she said before the ship zipped off into hyperspace. Sophie felt herself pushed back against her seat while trying to balance the drink in her hand to keep from falling. Watching everything whiz by made it feel like she was starting to see everything blur into dream and reality.

Location: In hyperspace

As the stars streaked by Lisa leaned back in her chair, placing both hands behind her head and sighed. Finally they were away from the massive city world. The allure of the cosmos was just to great fro Lisa to stay in any one place, including her homeworld.

"So hows training going? Are you looking to pick up any skills?"

Sophie always enjoyed open space. So peaceful and yet so immense. Now that they'd settled she could better accommodate herself to the seat in the shuttle and could fully looked out and enjoy the sights. As she did she looked over when Lisa had asked about her training, or if she wanted to learn anything. "Well I have learned a little. I've gotten force lightning down. And I've been delving into magics with my master now-and-then."

Lisa nodded. She seemed to be progressing fairly well. She also put out a larger more powerful presence in the darkside than Lisa had sensed before. this girl was growing, slowly but surely.

She took her cup in hand and let the hot liquid burn its way down her throat and into her stomach, savouring the flavor. Lisa drank her caf black, with no sugar and no cream. The way a real warrior drinks it.

"I notice that you don’t seem to have a saber yet?"

Sophie had quietly been sipping her drink when the mention of no lightsaber came up. She looked over, feeling as though it was a big issue, before gulping down what was in her mouth. She cleared her throat before saying "Well....not yet. I mean I hope to eventually. But I've been preoccupied with my alchemy and my force training first. I just need to give it time is all."

"Would you like one? I have a spare, given to me by my mentor. I'll pass it on to you. The only issue is you'll have to eventually disassemble it and tune the force crystal to yourself."

Lisa got up and rummaged through a locker nearby, producing a single black and silver hilted Saber. She activated it with her thumb, and it burst to life in a brilliant crimson beam. Lisa was a force junkie, and had no such need for the energy weapons of the Jedi or the Sith. Despite the fact that she kept two sabers on herself, she rarely drew them.

Sophie hadn't answered at first. She was just surprised Lisa had a spare lightsaber so easy to give away. She still didn't speak before Lisa got up and walked back into the shuttle to bring her the spare saber. Once she had it Sophie held it, looking at it and examining it closely. Given that she had a real Sith saber in her hands, the last sabers she held were a training saber from the Jedi and a Jedi's claimed saber given to her by her master, Sophie felt as though she was just given one of the most powerful weapons in the world.

Looking over to [member="Lisa Ticon"] she said "Thank you....but....I don't think I can keep this. My master will insist I make my own. But maybe I'll just hold onto it for now. Until I have my own."

[member="Sophie Gustav"]

"Go ahead, I really have no use for it. Have you ever swung a saber before?"

Lisa cocked her head as she asked the question. Sophies master seemed a bit restrictive to her. This made Lisa all the more grateful that she was not formally trained under a master of her own. There may come a day when they asked her to pledge into the Sith order entirely and Lisa would be standing there shaking her head.

She was a Dark Jedi, and she belonged to no one.

"I'll teach you a few basics if you haven't already learned. I'm no expert though, and my style is unorthodox. Not a usual darksider style at all."

"I've fought before....but not very well." she answered. It was true, the last time she fought anyone it was the woman who would eventually be her master. At that time she was still a Jedi padawan with only a handful of training sessions with the masters. None were enough to prepare herself for the fight against an anointed Sith knight like her. And even then it was a training saber. The other time she used a saber was to fight sithspawn in the Undercity of Coruscant. They were not as dangerous as actual force users, but a very deadly opponent nonetheless. At the prospect of having some saber skills learned Sophie had looked to Lisa and said "I...would like that. Thank you."
