The void and the Stone.

Lisa deactivated her saber, stepping back and winking at the girl.

"That was pretty good spar."

There was a small crackle from the nav computer as it began to blink furiously. She could tell just by the sounds they were reaching their destination, and about to revert to real space.

"You need to focus more on mixing in some force attacks with your blade work."

She pushed past Sophie to the bridge, taking her seat, muscles now exhausted. They still yet had a far way to go. Lisa was taking Sophie down into the mines of Makeb, a dangerous and hostile place. What exactly they would find, Lisa knew not, but she did know that it would be a good experience all the better.

Once it was done Sophie stood down as well. She nodded as Lisa's advice, it was true she needed to mix a few things together in her combat. Plenty of time for that in future training. Her mentallity, however, was changed to the task at hand when she'd went to the pilot seat. Sophie followed as well but instead of taking a seat stood behind where Lisa sat and looked towards the planet. It was always a sight to see a planet from space, making you realize how big and yet so small it was from this angel.

As they approched she asked "Have you ever been here before?"

"Oh I've been here once or twice."

Lisa had been to Makeb a few times more than she let on. In the depths she had stumbled across energy spiders once. There were all manner of creatures in the mines. One such creature she could not name, but it was big and had long limbs tipped with razor sharp spikes. It slithered with enormous speed and strength.

That was her end goal for this trip. To find the creature and kill it.

"We're going hunting, so bring your best, now c'mon, lets get on with the fun!"

The ship reverted to real space just outside of orbit and Lisa carefully guided them in, jacked on the adrenaline from their prior fight and the stimcaf. It was time to rock'n'roll.

A few minutes later they had landed on the rocy surface, just outside the ominous mine shafts of Makeb. The wind kicked up a mighty dust across the badlands. Their position was atop a mesa, that overlooked a sea of dirt and rubble on the badlands below. It was a noteless world, complete with a few spacer settlements and dirty mining rigs.

The back ramp of the airlock cycled and Lisa stepped down, silver green armor shining in the dark. Her sniper rifle was tight in her grip, pointed upwards and ready to drop.

She turned to Sophie.

"Are you ready?"

Watching the decent and listening to her story Sophie did feel somewhat more confident to know she was going with Lisa on this little trip. The planet itself seemed to have a natrual beauty that hid some equally dangerous wildlife behind it. That was all the more clear when [member="Lisa Ticon"] had said the two of them were going hunting. As her friend exited Sophie went back and retrived her hooded robe before putting it on and walking out of the shuttle. She made sure her lightsaber was still on her person as she peeked out. She scanned the immediate area before looking to Lisa when she asked if she was ready. Sophie didn't say anything, only walking down the ramp and nodding while following close to the dark jedi knight.

As the caves narrowed Lisa stepped softly, moving with a fluid grace in the darkness. She wondered if the rumors were true, if the dreaded beast did live down here. Once upon a time there had been some legend concerning the depths of the mine. Creatures had attacked them as they dug too deep and awakened ancient Sith monsters that had been dropped there before the gulag plague.

Tarantek

The air hissed slightly as she moved and Lisa stopped. Her goggles flicked down and she was greeted with the sight of a massive web. The web was sprawling and glistening, razor sharp. The webs of an energy spider.

"You sense that?" She asked sophie.

"That's an energy spider. Their webs are razor sharp and will cut you into a hundred pieces. However they can be killed with the right application of energy. They will suck your life out though, stay close."

Lisas green saber ignited, lighting up the cavern. The ominous clicking began and she roared, unleashing a storm of force energy. Her hand rose and blasted at the webs, her mind ripping them from the walls. spider began to fall, their mandible clicking and their eye glowing in emerald reflections.

Lisa spun her saber once in a circle, grinding her teeth as the webs rose and stitched themselves in a mesh. She cast them over the spiders, and they wriggled, hissing, trying to suck the life from her and Sophie.

"Use your lightsaber, follow me!"

Lisa born for the battle let the current of the darkside rushed through her, indulging in the fear and sudden irritation of the spiders. Her bald flashed a fiery emerald beat, slicing in at two different directions. The savage strikes connected, slashing two limbs from the first spider and toppling it over, still trapped by the web.

Two more where still alive however and they had become very angry.

"Look out!"

The web was cast off as one of them righted itself, launching its massive body with power across the tunnel and towards Sophie.

Following close behind [member="Lisa Ticon"] Sophie was acting like the friend pulled along for some dangerous act to prove in front of friends in high schoo; which wasn't too far off from the actual reasoning for being here as she realized. She kept on Lisa's back as they walked down into the tunnels. Sophie had perked before Lisa had mentioned sensing something, more hearing things first. Then came the talk about the energy spiders. Sophie had shivered at the mention of such things, obviously not being one to like creepy crawlers of any variation. When Lisa had activated her green saber Sophie turned hers on, which was also green, and kept closer to her to make sure they illuminated enough light together. When the spiders had attacked and Lisa managed to rip the webbing apart Sophie had sighed with relief, only for the sudden call from Lisa to make her look back and see the incoming spider towards her. More out of fear than anything Sophie rasied her hand and screamed while a burst of force lightning came out and struck the creature mid-air. It's dead body fell to the ground before SOphie gave another uncomfy shiver.

There were still two more spiders, the downed one and the second one preparing to leap. As the girl made quick work of the first, Lisa moved in on the second, slashing again and dodging left as it's mandibles clicked. The sharp teeth caught her however and she felt the sharp pain sear her leg and screamed in rage as blood sprayed from her wound.

The misstep had caused her to falter, and she hit the ground, as the spider scrambled on top of her, pinning her body with its legs. She slashed again, removing two legs and sending a black booted foot, aided by the force upwards the crush the creatures chest.

Still it's mandible clicked as it tried to get hold and suck the energy from her, extinguishing her life. More clicking could be heard now as the caverns came to life, they were soon to be overrun.

"Sophie help!" Lisa roared, sending a stream of evil crackling bolts bouncing off the wall and impacting another as it came from the shadows...

Sophie had backed up and watched her friend struggle with the spider before hearing as more would come. As [member="Lisa Ticon"] called out for help Sophie focused and tossed her saber into the spider's head, right through the eyes to kill it instantly. While letting Lisa up Sophie rubbed her hands together before firing more force lightning through the walls to try and fry as many spiders as she could. While this happened she hopped Lisa would do her the favor of getting her saber and using it while she tried to deal with as many spiders as she could with her strategy.

Lisa could sense Sophies intent through the force. She was thinking f her saber though what to do with it was unclear. Her mind was a mess and it was getting wild as dead spiders fell from the walls and live ones charged from the darkness. It was time to even the odds and that was exactly what Lisa did.

Dodgin Sophies force lightning she slipped underneath the stream in a crouch and summoned the girls fallen saber to her hand, activating it with snap-hiss.

The spiders were falling back slightly, many more in the shadows. Lisa roared again propelling herself with the darkside, spinning both green blades now as she moved into the midst of the living swarm. Her sabers traced a pattern of entrancing tracers across the bodies piling up. Limbs slashed as she propelled herself faster, flicking the blades left right and up and won.

The spiders were sheared in a half, cut from all sides and began to falter, falling back under their combined onslaught. Lisa spun her blades, again, attacking from al directions, willing herself into Vapaad, the mind of the octopus. Each green tentacles lashed and retreated, severing a new part as the dance continued.

Her rage began to escalate now, sending her dark energy crackling up and down her frame. Without realizing what she was ding a shield of purple electricity had formed around her wreathing her in it's dark dance.

The caver was fully lit now, the spiders burning as they struck, her striking back, Sophie blasting them in crackling force lightning. The smell of burnt flesh thrust it's way into her nostrils and the blood scent was intoxicating.

"Here!"

Lisa tossed Sophies saber back, summoning her own second saber and igniting it. Now they were both armed.

"Push in, slay them all!" She shouted, eyes bulging from her head and mouth spraying savage saliva across the mass of dead bodies.

Enough of the spiders had fallen to where small piles of their charred bodies were starting form. Sophie had pushed out as much as she could for now, needing a minute to regain herself while Lisa had taken on others with her saber. By the time Lisa had tossed her saber back to her Sophie was ready for a more up-front fight. Taking her word Sophie followed [member="Lisa Ticon"] through the tunnel as they began slaying any and all spiders that advanced towards them. Sophie slashed and swept at anything that had more than two legs and came towards the duo as they pushed their way further in. Some were killed instantly while others were torn asunder and left without enough limbs to surive. Sophie was behind to make sure any that Lisa did not kill out-right were finished by her. The less they had to worry about while in these caverns the better.
