STANDARD FEATURES
  • The Void-Drifter sports an eclectic mixture of prototype (and occasionally salvaged) systems - it can generally be assumed to have everything a comparable corvette would, though whether or not it works as intended is another question entirely. The vessel can be piloted with an MMI.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • A Stargaze Module enhances the vessel's hyperspace capabilities, but optimal functionality is only achieved if paired with a pilot trained in the rare skill known as instinctive astrogation. This is further augmented by a Subdrive for in-system manoeuvring and a Hyperanchor for hiding.
  • A Neurocogitator Controller serves as an advanced auto-pilot system while overseeing most of the vessel's core functions.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
  • Starfarer: The Void-Drifter is fast, agile, and resilient enough to survive extreme environments; perfect for travel and exploration.
  • Patchwork: The Void-Drifter is a patchwork of mismatched parts and it shows - expect regular technical flukes and heavy maintenance.
DESCRIPTION
The Void-Drifter was not always the surprisingly functional patchwork it is today - manufactured in the early days of Greystone Mercantile as a kind of all-purpose scout, it was intentionally deprived of name and identifying features alike. After a series of successful survey missions, something went wrong and the ship was lost with all hands, though a follow-up mission was unable to positively confirm its destruction.

Years later, the vessel was sold to Eliphas Dune under false pretences. Believed inoperable, the Void-Drifter was nonetheless stirred into action by the nascent Force User's frustration. Having unintentionally activated its long-dormant recovery protocol, Dune found himself brought elsewhere.

When all was said and done, the Tetan noble was permitted to keep the vessel - outdated by current standards as it was - and several retrofits were carried out to render it flightworthy. In time, further additions would make it more capable still, at least under optimal conditions.
