OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To submit the Warborn as a genetically engineered warrior species serving as the militant caste of The Sovereignty. This submission will define their biology, culture, and narrative role within faction roleplay and worldbuilding.
  • Image Credit: AI Art based on the Orcs such as found in Warcraft
  • Canon: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: The Sovereignty, The Oracles, The Forged

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Warborn
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Extra-Galactic (Sovereignty genetic reformation centers)
  • Average Lifespan: 50–70 standard years (shorter due to accelerated aging and constant exposure to combat environments)
  • Estimated Population: Inter-Planetary – Primarily distributed among Sovereignty seed ships and colonies, but grown in large numbers
  • Description: The Warborn are towering, muscular warriors bred for devotion and destruction. Designed in the Sovereignty's origin galaxy as living weapons, they embody ritualized violence and sacred loyalty. Covered in battle-scars and ceremonial markings, Warborn live only for combat, command, and the chants of war-prayer that sanctify their purpose.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I (Standard Atmosphere)
  • Average Height of Adults: 2.2 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Gray, dark bronze, or greenish hues
  • Hair color: Coarse black or white hair in older specimens, not uncommonly bald.
  • Distinctions: Warborn are massive, humanoid beings with broad shoulders, thick musculature, and heavy bone structure. Their skin is often scarred or branded with ritual sigils. Many possess cybernetic enhancements fused at birth. Both male and female Warborn exist, though their roles are shaped more by function and martial tradition than by gender. Cultural distinction is minimal, as strength, loyalty, and performance in battle define status within their ranks.
  • Races: No formal races—variations exist in body type and ritual markings based on war-cult and battlefield of origin.
  • Force Sensitivity: Non-Sensitive

Strengths:
  • Bred for war: Enhanced strength, pain tolerance, and stamina make them formidable combatants on any battlefield.
  • Conditioned loyalty: Warborn are psychologically trained and genetically predisposed toward obedience and sacrifice in the name of the Sovereignty and the Pattern Eternal.

Weaknesses:
  • Limited adaptability: Their minds are shaped by doctrine and ritual, making innovation and strategic deviation rare without outside leadership.
  • Shortened lifespan: Rapid growth and constant deployment cause accelerated aging, with few surviving long past their prime.

CULTURE
  • Diet: Carnivorous, though capable of subsisting on nutrient rations. Meat is often consumed raw or charred in ceremonial rites.
  • Communication: Spoken Sovereign tongue, battlefield code-chant, and ritual war-hymns. Body language plays a large role in dominance displays and silent unit coordination.
  • Technology level: Individually, Warborn do not create or design technology. They use advanced Sovereign war-gear provided by the Oracles, often customized with sacred markings.
  • Religion/Beliefs: The Warborn believe deeply in the Pattern Eternal and view the Oracles as divine figures. Battle is seen as a sacred expression of one's place in the Pattern, and death in combat is a form of transcendence.
  • General behavior: Warborn do not form traditional families. They are raised in war-cults, each trained in specific modes of violence and obedience. Camaraderie forms through battle rather than blood, and emotional expression is often filtered through martial ritual. They thrive in high-pressure combat environments, relying on instinct, formation discipline, and unwavering obedience to Oracle-issued commandments.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Warborn originated from a conquered warrior species in the Sovereignty's origin galaxy. Rather than exterminate them, the Oracles broke them—biologically and culturally—remaking them into sacred instruments of war. Through generations of genetic manipulation, bio-conditioning, and psychological indoctrination, the Warborn were transformed into the militant caste of the Sovereignty: obedient, loyal, and unyielding.

Clad in armor forged by Forged artisans and blessed by Oracle rites, Warborn exist to fight. They live in war-prayer and fall with glory, their deaths becoming offerings to the Pattern Eternal. In Sovereignty society, they serve as guards, conquerors, and executioners—viewed by other castes with awe and fear.

As the Sovereignty enters the Chaos galaxy, the Warborn are at the forefront of expansion. They will bring holy war to a new realm—unaware that the laws of this galaxy, and the mysteries of the Force, may one day challenge even their absolute devotion.

OUT OF CHARACTER NOTE
I have chosen the familiar fantasy look of Orcs for the Warborn primarily to give writers plenty of art and graphics from which they can make their characters. Orcs are orcs, but hopefully I have grounded them in the setting I am trying to create.
