The ways of a soldier

This time he was ready. In a short sprint Abyss closed the gap between them, raising his arm like he was going for punch at her face. But instead of forming a fist he extend his fingers to from a claw, aiming the tips of his finger at her eyes to blind her. It was a simple trick but he had used it effectively in combat more than once. Still he had no doubts that the lord was ready for it.

The first rule of dueling, if you opponent has the upper hand, and is coming into an attack, and blocking is not option, take a step back. She stepped back as his fist flew at her, and then stepped forward as it missed. She then went for a low kick to back of the knee, in hopes to take him down. She was no means guaranteed to do so, after all neither of them had the force to use. She had just trained longer in not using the force, and had more hand to hand combat practice. Then again he was bigger and stronger than she was naturally.

Abyss released a pained cry as the kick meet his knee. Normally he would have embraced the pain, but without the force to fuel with it, it was just numbing his senses. Still he managed to stay on his feet, by balancing most of his weigh to his other leg. He rose his hands to attack her again, but instead keept them in the air as shield for his face, slowly moving back and pacing around her. He had the advantage of height ans strength, giving him the option to block her attacks and counter them. If he could he would use it.

She stayed back, holding back. She needed him to throw his punch or kick. As she had speed to dodge and counterattack it, but she was not going to go toe to toe with him, as to do so would be to invite defeat. She kept herself just out of arm's reach, as they moved around the ring. She kept a small bounce going as well, so she could move easier. Also so it would be less predictable where she was going to go to, so it we keep him always with luck a little of guard.

Abyss still moved in circles, waiting and observing for an opening. Even if she wouldn't attack patience could help him beat her. There was still the option to get a better angle, to make her unfocused and surprise her. He continued his movement, his eyes locked onto her body to catch the slightest slip, the smallest of mistakes he could use.

Suddenly he changed his direction, moving to stand slighty besides her. He hoped that the sudden change of position would surprise her, as he pushed his whole body into her direction, hopping to tackle her down with his weight.

As he suddenly change direction, she got low real low, and then as reached to side of her. She jumped into him using her hips, in diagonal motion to strike him under his hip. The attempt was to lift him of the ground and send him flying.

The counter surprised Abyss, as she had planned. Only by pure chance he managed to roll over the ground instead of just crashing into it after he was pushed in the air.he slowly came back on his feet, and without the force to draw from he had to breath in and out a few times to fight the nausea that had builded up inside his head. Every time he would attack, she would come up with another elaborate counter, using her years of experience. If he wanted to win he would have to be really patient, waiting for a move of were he could use his advantages.

She stepped back and bowed at the acolyte, Stop, let's try some basics shall we. Let's analyze this combat situation shall we, I am faster than you, but you have reach and strength. You needed to try and force me in corner, you can do this by using your range. Directly attacking me and allowing me to stay in the center, means I can still move. Cut of my movement, and then attack, and get in close. You need to stop me moving to win, not try and take me down in the center. Now we will try again. This was now going to hurt her, she took her fighting stance, and hoped for the best.

Abyss gave her a nod of approval, to make it clear that he had listened. He slowly straightened his body, cracking each bone in his neck, raising his hand before his body like a boxer. A step forward to him closer to her but still out of his reach. He began to circle around her once again. Then another small step forward. Abyss extended his right fist as fast as he could, using the whole length of his arm for a punch aimed at her jaw, his left already in position to release the following hit.

As he punched at her she stepped back, she managed to dodge it. Though only just, she was now being forced onto back step. He had listened, she had to try and get out the predicament she put herself in. She hoped she get an opening to try do roll out of it, though none was forthcoming. He was starting to back her in the corner.

Now his left hand followed, a swift punch to push her back further, while once again raising his right for another. Abyss began to understand how to use his physical advantage over her, only moving close enough so he could reach her but still out of her range. The only thing he had to do now was keeping up the pressure.

She did not have the force, to get out of this. She was getting backed into the corner, then his blows began to come at her. She began to feel the sting of his jab, she had one option and one option alone. She was going to be defeated otherwise, though not by his abilities with the force. She then rushed him, and took blow to face. She slammed to floor, but as she hit the deck. she went for a kick straight to his undercarriage. She could feel the blood flowing, from her nose, it was warm as trickled of her.

Abyss could feel the warm blood on his fist and his facial expression formed a satisfied grin. He was already raising his hand again to swing another hit at the master that was laying on the ground in front him, when a a sudden force pushed against his crotch, pain shooting trough every vein of his body. The acolyte stumbled back, almost unable to stay on his feet.

She got back to her feet and shouted ENOUGH then quieter said enough. She wanted out of this ring and to check her nose, as she think he may of broken it and she wanted to get fixed asap. She got out of the ring, and made her way over to mirror. She straightened up nose, her eyes have been blackened by his punch and where beginning to swell. She then head off to med bay, the acolyte had done well.
