The Widow and the Monster

Lehon system, Rakata Prime.

Darth Ayra's transport dropped out of hyperspace on the edge of the Lehon system, to be greeted by debris of a long, forgotten construct destroyed by a certain redeemed Jedi. Piloting the shuttle among the floating pieces of the Star Forge was a relative simple thing for Ayra. She had been trained as a Sith Marauder, soldier and pilot on the Sith Marauder training regime by her masters, so flying came as a second nature.

In time, the ship broke through the atmosphere and came out of the stratosphere above a vast ocean, course set for a structure center to an island. Lowering the landing clamps of the transport, Ayra touched the ship on a plain and unbuckled herself from the pilot seat after touching down. She rose to her feet and went around the chair towards the back, her hand lifting up to a keypad. In putting the code, the ramp lowered and the doors parted into the sides, allowing her to step out into night.

Lehon's moon shined overhead as the pale, blonde haired Human began to make her way up the path towards the Temple of Ancients. She lifted her hands to the cowl of her Sith robe and lifted it over her head to conceal her facial features, pale, blonde hair and the rising, flame tattoo that translated from Sith'ise to Basic as "Slave".

Entering the structure, the hooded Darth came to a stop in the atrium of the construct and began to scan her surroundings with a pair of yellow, sulfuric eyes that gleamed out from underneath her hood; the only bits of face that could be seen, other than her pale lips and the top of her equally as white nose.

This place was once home to an empire of darkness so vast that made the faction of modern time look like specs of dust. Vulcanus was here for one reason, a voice had spoken to him in his dreams. It was like nothing Krag had ever heard before, it was a booming voice that shook the stars as it spoke and it had told Krag that a grave darkness was coming to the galaxy and that the Sith were to prepare a New Order for its arrival. It promised him the glory of a Dark Empire that would last an eternity and told him that the reckoning of the Jedi was soon at hand...all Vulcanus needed to do was seek out those who would join him in his cause. If something was strong enough to make Krag do its bidding, then it truly did have a voice that could move planets.

The former Dark Lord of the Sith had arrived prior to Ayra and he saw her ship descend through the night sky. Usually, Krag would have prepared himself to taste the blood of the new foe but not today. Today, Krag was enticed by what he had heard and the arrival of this new darksider meant only one thing. What Krag had heard was true, the voice had commanded him to this planet and now he knew why.

Thundering through the night, Krag approached the Sith Knight from afar. The beast's single Sulfuric eye studied the woman as he got closer, she felt weak....looked weak. Vulcanus couldn't help but snort at the fact of how weak this knight appeared to him, but he didn't make a mention of it for now. Right now, all he wanted to know was who this lesser was. "Lesser, why have you come here?" was Krag's simple question as he halted his advance a little more than six meters away from the woman.

The hooded woman turned to the voice that came from the beasts mouth; and found herself face to face with Vulcanus. Her eyes trailed along the monster that had emerged from darkness surrounding them, studying, taking in his gigantic size. "Lesser?" she murmured a moment, lowering her gaze to the floor for a moment, understanding.

Slowly, her robes slid off her frame to reveal her black, combat gear. Her hand clasped around the edges of her Saberstaff and she lifted it to the side, igniting both ends. Locking her eyes on Vulcanus, she began to stalk forward towards the beast.

The woman took an offensive stance about her, grabbing her saberstaff and igniting it before marching forward toward him. Vulcanus didn't move, not yet, he just gave a cynical grin and eyed the lesser for a few moments. She was obviously willing to show her his strength, impressive considering she was a human and they tended to be vile creatures of weakness. Without moving his arms, Krag took in a lungful of air and concentrated the dark energies in his stomach before thrusting his head forward and bellowing a ball of flames directly at the Sith Knight. The ball of flames burned blue with heat, surly hot enough to scorch near anything it touched.

"Brave, but foolish" Krag growled, grabbing his Sith Sword and drawing it.

Ayra span her Saberstaff among the flames and diverted the first currents of it with the red lights protruding from the end of her hilt. Then she was on the move to avoid the rest of them. The heat issued by the power exploding from Vulcanus's mouth was enough to cause burns by themselves. She could feel her skin blister under the heat.

Moving her hand down to her utility belt, she unholstered her disruptor pistol and unloaded the clip on Vulcanus as she ran around him. She wasn't aiming in anywhere in particular and didn't need to; any hits by a disruptor weapon on any part of the body of an opponent was good, because disruptor energy disintegrated; and for a large, hulking beast such as the former Emperor, that wasn't good.

Vulcanus watched as the Sith drew a disruptor pistol from her waist and began firing random and clumsy rounds at the him. Luckily, the beast had drawn his Sith Sword and was able to deflect three of them with ease, returning them to sender quite efficiently. Vulcanus, however, wasn't fast enough to deflect all of the bolts and before he even knew they had impacted his Sith armor, the alchemist metals were searing black from the hit and the blistering heat was stinging Vulcanus's hide. The beast roared out in pain, turning to face Ayra and dropping his sword down like a hammer on the ground. The resulting shockwave of force energy took the form of rolling waves of fire that headed straight for Vulcanus's opponent.

Ayra busied herself reloading the empty clip of ammunition and replacing it with a full one. As she lifted her pistol, she was met with the wall of flames. Pain forced her to emit a scream as she was blown back, the feeling of her skin burning and her clothes set alight. She came down in a thud and was already rolling along the floor, to douse out the flames.

She came to a stop, silently still, unmoving. Smoke rose from her fallen frame, the remnants of her pistol laying away some distance. The perfect kill for the monster that was [member="Darth Vulcanus"].
