Eager was always an interesting word that could be used for many different scenarios. One could be waiting eagerly with much enthusiasm for something exciting to happen. Another could be eager to start a new journey filled with hope and promise. Another could be eager but was anxious and impatient for a meeting to begin so they can all go home or begin implementing plans for the safety of their own people. Eagerness was a word that was not at all used to describe Raven. In fact, someone could almost say that she was the opposite of eager, because she knew that sometimes eagerness was not the way to start any kind of negotiations. Especially considering the type of eagerness that they could potentially be dealing with the moment that they entered the room.
The problem with warring tribes, families and even parties, was that they got to that point because of their egos and egos consisted of many things, like land, money and public perception. If one got attacked by another, protocols of a high figure, demanded that they make an example of the one who had socially-perceived them to be slighted by. Then the other would have to do the same thing and then the circle of chaos would continue to reign down upon everyone involved. Murder, thieving, social slights and attempts at chopping the other person down. It was a vicious circle and often would lead to the two sides usually destroying each other, only to cancel the both out and allow for new families to be born from the ashes. Tensions would still be the same until one or the other start the cycle all over again.
Raven always prided herself upon her self image, with her immaculate dress and the way that her bored look never once seemed to slide from her face. Yet, she knew all about the intricacies of war and how politics was the very breeding grounds for such an endeavor. After all, she did hail from the Winterhall Vampirika bloodline. One where they prided themselves on the fact that they were skilled fighters and yet she hadn’t had to do much of that in her recent years of being awake. Although, the woman would have to think about when she might sleep for a time. Yet that time was not quite there, for Felacat was still very much too exposed and she would not leave it in such a state. So, for now, she played her political part and would take on board the current situation that she now found herself in.
Quietly, she released the umbrella for its position so then it could close up and handed it over to Nadia. The woman would then move to seat herself within the chair that was situated upon the left side of Faye Malvern and she leaned to the left while her left arm rose so then she could rest her elbow upon the arm rest, while her palm floated upwards to face towards the ceiling. Her chin, however, rested upon the palm while her emotionless expression seemed to take in the men and women before her. Nadia and Nala, took up their positions on the outskirts of the room, to hide deep within the shadows. With each second that passed, the Vampiress was taking on board the current situation at hand. Assessing the different emotions that presented itself within the room and she could definitely see the tension in the room, just by looking at the body postures.
She hoped that they wouldn’t have to do too much intervening on their behalf, for if the two warring parties didn’t do most of the work, then there was always the potential problem of a reoffending. Then they would have to be called in once more to settle such issues all over again. Perhaps, there could be a way to settle it without too much interference on their behalf?
