"A new way huh" Luke grinned, shaking his head as if there were any chance of that being the case; "Naw, they'll probably kick me out before I get even close to becoming an actual Jedi one day". His words were laced with self-doubt and conviction within the statement, in his intoxicated mind, it was the truth and all he could hope to expect.
The look of disappointment in response to Maran suggesting they go home would be plain to see. The night was still young, barely midnight yet and there was still plenty of exploring they could be doing, yet Maran had come this far despite her fear and Lukan had, unfortunately, found himself caring about that more than he had expected. Was he feeling sorry for her?
"I suppose we could-...".
"Hey kid!" the voice of the Ikotchi from earlier sounded far too close for comfort, Lukan standing upright and clumsily turning around to find a blaster pointed at them both.
"Get that shit outta here. Now!" the barkeep yelled, moving to grab something from beneath the counter. Before long, the older man behind the bar lifted a blaster rifle up and pointed it back at the Ikotchi; "Rukhar, you may be a regular but you're going to be dead before you ice a couple of kids in my club. Now piss off!".
"Okay yeah, home sounds good" Lukan whispered before making a reach for Maran's arm and pulling her with him as he started for the club's entrance in full flight. The sounds of blaster fire exploded behind them, yet he didn't look back, sprinting for the doorway desperately.
