OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
This short one-handed sword has a 33cm machete chopping blade. Moran modeled the sword after a traditional Yavin system brush-clearing tool called a kambantuli. Its hooked and textured brylark-wood grip will not slip from the hand regardless of how bloody one’s work gets. It has a relatively substantial crossguard for this kind of weapon. The edge, painstakingly treated with high-grade Svolten rhyolite, refuses to roll or chip no matter how much mundane armour it shears through. The brylark pommel is fully as strong as most metals and suitable for striking, even against hard targets.
This is not the kind of magic sword one wears to invoke pyrotechnics and strange weather. One wears this sword for the express purpose of chopping things that very much need chopping. Since those things often include technological armour and weapons, Moran worked in an extrapolation of a standard Sith sword’s electrical-absorption ability. A solid impact against electronic armour/weapons will cause said armour/weapons to experience power fluctuations and even total power loss. In essence, if one uses the Yavinese kambantuli to hack at power armour, the blade may not do much physical damage, but the armour will lose power to one extent or another. And heaven help a cyborg who takes a hit from this blade.
