Taking the pirates head on, Judah liked the sound of that. He looked to Kyra as the plan was laid out and pressed a thought into her mind. Since they had not worked a lot on combat, Judah wanted to be sure she would be safe.

"Do your best to follow my lead on this... this is for keeps."

Kyra would pick up on the concern JJ felt. She was an empath, but the bond the two created during her first training session with him was strong. Kyra had almost turned him into vegetable, but she didn't. The lasting effect of that though was something neither of them had expected. JJ had yet to test the boundaries of their bond, nor did he want to at the moment. He was simply content it was there. Kyra was someone JJ could count on as more than just a student. She was a friend, and a confidant.

JJ found it odd he was going to be taking instructions from a padawan when there was a master among them, but this trip was neither sanctioned or official. It was the kind of operation JJ loved. They were going to take it to some pirates, and hopefully do some good. That didn't require official ranking. Besides, JJ was going to do what he always did, take advantage of whatever openings were provided for him. It might have been reckless for him to bring Kyra with him, but that was neither here nor there at this point. Today, JJ and Kyra were going to work together, and in it there would be more lessons for her. Experience was always the best teacher.

When the signal to move out was given, JJ gave Kyra the motion to follow him. There were some crates to the side, places where they could remain unseen until it was time to confront the pirates directly. All they had to do was wait for the diversion, and then it was time for Kyra to see just exactly what one could accomplish with a lightsaber and the force. Hopefully this would make her a bit more eager to move on from a training blade sooner rather than later.

So, they were the distraction while the other's snuck around the edges of the fight to take out the ships and free the prisoners, that was the kind of position the pink-haired Jedi was happiest with. It wasn't that she wasn't good at sneaking around, she just knew that there were other Jedi who were much better suited to the role than she was. Besides, she glanced down at her hands, clenching them into fists momentarily before letting them relax, since Azure, since the Sith attach on Kashyyyk, she'd found that her control was not always what it used to be. She'd felt her increase in power, the way the force responded to her with even less thought and effort than before. The side effect of almost fading into that field of energy, of accepting herself and no-longer walling part of herself off. The side effect, it was harder to hide than before and she found herself more prone to acting first, to reacting to a situation in front of her. Not the best mindset for a shadow, but for the distraction, well that would do nicely.

"So, you think they're gonna be prepared for us when we walk in then?"

A sigh slipped from her lips as she reached down to smooth down her shirt, brushing off some imaginary lint before flashing the room a bright grin.

"I've heard the resort has a no shirt no shoes policy, it'd be just our luck if we get back from this mission onto to find that they won't actually let us back in."

The young Jedi pushed off from the wall she'd been leaning against, gesturing at Kale by the door.

"If the pirates are expecting anything it'll be for you to come back maybe with a friend or two. They certainly wouldn't think of the Jedi arriving in such force and numbers. Even if they bolster their forces, it probably won't be by enough. It doesn't make financial sense for them to hire more than they really need to, and that gives us an advantage."

Kyra snorted at JJ, unable to mask the frustration JJ's concern brought about.

She was going to be fiiiiine.

Didn't he know she'd been on plenty 'a mission before? ...Oh that might be why he was concerned, actually... Well this time would be different! She had trained a lot more, okay? These series of thoughts distracted her from the events, the padawan caught up in her internal musing until a certain voice hit the air. Kyra perked, poking out from behind JJ to grin at Asaraa Vaashe Asaraa Vaashe .

She gave a cheerful 'wavewave' , pleased so have so many counted friends alongside her today. Kaleleon Kaleleon was among that count for her, though the man seemed so serious she didn't give him more than a somber salute when they made eye contact.

JJ walked forwards and at least he could count on Kyra to actual stick on his tail.

"I have extra shoes you can wear," she told Asaraa as she passed on by. "A shirt for you too," she winked at Kale. Kyra moved out as instructed, growing somber as they hit the door. "Hey don't tell anyone about my saber..." She murmured to JJ, a hint of red to her cheeks.

She had felt that thought!
