Kate had never lived in the big city. To her, home was the cold metal interior of a spaceship. Exercise consisted of running break-neck through flickering hallways with the whole ship's frame shaking from enemy fire. The rush of adrenaline, the speed, the blaring klaxons. Those were all familiar. But this neon jungle? Unexplored territory.... and Malvy wasn't letting her use her machete.

Skeptical blue eyes watched the others jump off the side one by one. Well, time to trail blaze... or not.

She followed after Bob-Cut, leaping onto an awning and bouncing up, arms flailing, before she caught the edge of a window. Straining fingers gripped desperately at the lip of rough duracrete and she grunted as she pulled her self up. Like rock-climbing, yeah? She'd been a couple times. For fun. But then she'd been able to use the Force. Without it? Not so fun.

It was slow going, but Kate managed to make it to the top of the building, nails chipped, knees scraped and fingers aching.

And so it began. One by one, the others began to jump between the closer buildings. Some did so very gracefully, others less so.
Mark decided that it was his turn to go.
Following the girl with the piercing blue eyes' departure from the rooftop, Mark prepared himself to jump. Doing something would seem daft to anyone who was watching, he leapt off with what he hoped looked like grace with nothing below him, but Mark had the situation under control. He fell downward and leaned slightly forward to grasp onto a metal pole that stuck out high above the ground. He swung from there onto a windowsill and made his way upwards from there.
He was definitely going to have to get used to the feel of concrete and metal on his rough hands instead of the usual rock, vines, and treebark. It was much different than where he felt at home: alone in the jungles exploring, looking for new treasures to add to his collection, climbing through the trees, and being at peace with the force. But not all of the galaxy was home. Mark knew that the sooner he learned that, the better.
Some of the galaxy was like this: a hive full of the universe's scum and villainy.
