Seriously, a Sith Knight calling himself "Darth Badassius" or "Lord Awesome" is a little like a Jedi Knight calling himself "Master Goodguy."
And while I'm on a rant..."special" lightsabers/Force powers/martial arts/exotic tech/whatever. If you require something material to make your character interesting, then you have failed as a writer.
"My character uses a lightsaber flail that has six blades connected by fibercords and can control them all telekineticaly while also using two standard blades."
My character is a clone of a dead woman who possesses the soul of the original copy, giving her extreme emotional torque even when she's not struggling against her inner desire to kill each and every thing within reach. She sees the Force as the body of the galaxy and tries to function as its surgeon, keeping it healthy by cutting out the cancerous growths within. As a result she treats her own body as a temple through following an obscure Force tradition that I discovered after I had determined who she was, and it affected her growth as a person. She has completed Herculean tasks of might and clashes with some of the strongest monolithic Force entities not because of her weird powers or "unique" toys, but because she has earned that right.
But yeah, sure. Your flailsaber is super cool, too. Makes your character really "special."
This flailsaber is hypothetical and not intended to directly reference or offend any player who is actually thinking of using a flailsaber to distinguish his/her character.
