This site is PG-13.

5. Swearing is strongly discouraged. Excessive and unnecessary swearing is prohibited.

And this is a rule.

No matter how many lives 2016 claims, no matter if you're on the forum or the Discord chat.

I'm guilty of it too. But that doesn't excuse any of us. It's still a rule, and we all - myself included - will follow it. Kids, teenagers, and adults alike all harbor a love for Star Wars, and we must all play to the lower denominator of acceptable social behavior.

Ignorance of the rules does not excuse you from the repercussions of violating them.

I'd imagine so as they're often spoken in the movies which is something children typically see without much fuss. Though I'm sure Tefka will give a definitive answer.

So you're telling me...

ok so the whole pg-13 thing....i get it. kids come here too. my issue is this kinda along the same lines as if you're rp'ing with another person and they start getting handsy or whatever in the threads. ya message em' ask for edits and see what can be done to fix it. you don't get salty and just completely remove a thread somebody started because sexy funtime happened. you ask for edits I'll edit it and we can all be happy instead of moderators or rpj's seeing something say nope and deleting my entire thread.

It's PG-13 and explicit sex scenes are not allowed. Plenty of writers do the dirty, but usually they know to put a fade to black in before it gets too descriptive.

fair point. still though a whole thread just nixed based on the fact that why not. I'd have been happy to edit it is the thing rather than just see a warning point that says not allowed to post and nobody even contacted me so I could even attempt to fix it. that was my problem. though I understand the reason. in future though if someone doesn't like it just pm me and I'll edit it to keep it pg-13 or whatevs.

'In future', just know when you need to fade to black. It's really not that difficult to work out.

You shouldn't need to "edit to make it pg-13" that is literally not the other person's responsibility to ask you to keep it within the site rules in this case. So if you break the rules (i.e. writing above the rating) and someone is uncomfortable, guess what. That's on *you*, not them.

If it's a normal matter of misunderstanding, or different opinions around what a force power does, or whatever, yeah, communicate. But someone is not *obligated* to come to you, to request a thing be brought *back down* to PG-13.

Look, if folks want to write smut, write your little heads off, I won't throw stones.

But take it to some sort of personal messenger (off site) or a shared google doc or something.

By making an account here you accept our rules. Thus it's wise to read them, understand them, and obey them.

We are under no obligation to give hints or suggestions when flagrant breaks of the rules have been made.

We are a PG-13 board. If you are in doubt of anything being inappropriate, ask any staff member and they can instantly tell you.

I'm not debating that I broke a rule cause I did. cool whatever. I accept that but come on y'all we've got drug dealers, assassins, exotic dancers and everything else here too. PG-13? I believe the sale, transportation, development and such of drugs like spice and what not is covered there too. And yet that hasn't been brought up or covered either. I just wanna make sure that everyone is treated equally. I know i broke a rule i got pegged on it and I was warned. I accept that but what up with drug dealers and people on the board asking about drugs IC not getting pegged?
