Thoughts and Prayers Please

I'm sorry to hear this. I have a friend who I consider part of my family who has cancer as well.. it's not easy to deal with or watch them deal with it. What you can do is be there by there side no mater what and try to help them as much as you possible can.

My prayers go to you, you're family and you're father. Keep believing and praying that he will make it through this.

I'm all most all way's here if you need to vent about it or talk about it don't hesitate.

I may not have my own internet, but I can be here for now... my dad had cancer twice, even though he died the second time around, it still didn't kill him the first time, and I'm at least glad to remember that... my thoughts go out to you and your family and if he ends up dying from this, may he find peace knowing you and your family were there for him, unlike my dad.

And before this sounds any more grim, I'm gonna just post what I said now and leave the thread.

Today is April 15th. My father is in surgery as I write this. They will be removing all of his voice box.

I got to see him yesterday. The last time I ever get to hear him say my name. That's really hitting hard right now. The last time I get to hear him whistle or make up words to whatever song he is singing. The last time I get to hear him say I love you.

Yeah.

--On a crushing note

I received a number of phone calls today. My mother's oldest brother, my uncle Rick, who gave me my first real job at the bait shop he inherited from his father ; was discovered this morning having committed suicide last night. He had a long hard life, having out lived 3 wives. He was living in the basement of the bait shop which he had turned into an apartment. He left notes and a will on his nightstand. A note was pinned to the door that led to his apartment where his employees would find it. It simply read, "Do Not Open This Door. Go Outside And Call The Police."
