STRENGTHS

• Interceptor Bomber: The TIE/DA is a multi-role starfighter. Its two main roles are being an advanced interceptor and a light bomber.
• The Defender can Defend: The TIE/DA has a few defenses improving upon its predecessor. It has an improved deflector shield, electronic countermeasures, and standard countermeasures.
• High Mobility: Just like its predecessor, the TIE/DA is a fast and maneuverable, but now with the added amenities of the N&Z AIMS and SLAB systems.

WEAKNESSES

• Fragile Upon Depletion: If the shield were to be disabled, the TIE/DA could continue to dogfight thanks to its better construction materials, but ultimately in a few hits, it'll more than likely go down.
• Limited Ammo Pool: The TIE/DA only has room for a total of 12 missiles/torpedoes.

DESCRIPTION
An evolution of one of Karl's oldest designs, the TIE/DA is built to carry on the legacy of the TIE/DL and TIE/D, refining and expanding upon the last Defender of the Lost model with a suite of advanced systems and enhancements.

The TIE/DA boasts an expanded and upgraded arsenal. The two wingtip-mounted medium ion cannons have been replaced with additional maser cannons, increasing its energy and kinetic-based firepower. A new chin-mounted hardpoint allows for the integration of two FAE/SW-11 Beam Cannon Mk. II's, adding devastating strikes to its arsenal. To further improve combat balance, an additional warhead launcher has been mounted on the top wing. All launchers have been upgraded to the FAE Universal Missile Platform, increasing their payload capacity from 3-4 missiles to a standardized four per launcher.

The TIE/DA features an upgraded shielding unit developed by the HPI Consortium, paired with state-of-the-art countermeasures from First United Astral Engineering. In addition, the design team has integrated a slew of advanced FAE technology that has become standard across the latest Von Strauss models, making the craft a formidable force on the battlefield.

For unparalleled speed and agility, the TIE/DA incorporates both the N&Z SLAB System, providing a massive burst of speed when engaged, and the N&Z AIMS System, offering exceptional maneuverability. However, activating either system temporarily reduces the opposing attribute; using SLAB sacrifices agility, while AIMS activation limits top speed.

Many elements from the previous FO and DL models remain, including the integration of the "Sérhannaðar" Artificial Intelligence Unit. This advanced AI assists pilots by optimizing flight paths and combat maneuvers. In emergencies, if the pilot is incapacitated, the AI will assume control, prioritizing a safe return to the hangar. However, due to its inherent limitations, the AI is programmed to avoid harming others, ensuring ethical operation even in dire circumstances.
