TIME FOR MORE TERRORISM, This time on the stage of the One Sith

How many Coruscanti lost family to the One Not-So-Sith in the invasion? We're talking soldiers killed, civilian casualties in the bombardment... Seriously, an invasion can't be successful if it 'only affected the Jedi Temple'. Sure, that's all that got RP'd, but I don't believe that you couldn't go without days or weeks or even months of street fighting with Republic security forces. I'm thinking the lower classes/lower level civilians provably don't mind either way, but the middle-class and upper echelons of Coruscant are likely not happy. I'm betting they were just fine with their Republic and are not on board with the Sith. Look at Ukraine.

...Oh well. [member="Alexandra Cinthra"], the Rebel Alliance is considering assisting you as long as you guarantee no civilians will be harmed.

As said before, Lasedri, it was RPed as having minimal casualties. Perhaps there were a few, but if you're trying to make waves where there's no ocean... we'll call BS.

I'll also point out that acts of terrorism are likely to result in a high propensity for civilian casualties, which will turn the populace against you and engender more support for the OS government to take more violent/aggressive action than they otherwise could do for fear of rebels... But hey, I'm not complaining about that. More stuff for me to spin :D

Yes. The Upper and Middle class probably aren't happy, though that would mostly due to the communistic actions of the One Sith as of late, but then again they're not exactly known for taking to the streets and rising in armed rebellion are they?

Ukraine is an entirely different situation where the people were actively being suppressed, censored, and beaten down. The One Sith are doing none of these things, and i could argue that indeed we are being more open with them than both the Jedi, and the Republic. Though of course only at face value since we are still rather nefarious, not that the average person would suspect such a thing.

As for the success of the invasion. It was stated in subsequent RP's that the government of Coruscant itself was toppled by the One Sith. Once the Jedi Fell it would have been obvious to The Republic they could not succeed in defense of the planet, and once the Republic withdrew, the local government of Coruscant would have no choice, and then subsequently surrendered to the forces of the One Sith. Leading to a mostly bloodless coup(relatively speaking). Which happen quite often in the real world.

"GOVERNMENTAL AND MILITARISTIC TARGETS..." Pointed it out several times now, but there is the point the rebel made about street fighting and the bombardment. Even if there was only .5 to 1 % of casulties, that is still millions if not billions on a planet that has trillions of people on it. I mean, i dont care but she does raise a good point. Another good point is made by you that the One Sith did put a ton of work in smoothing things over, so yes, there is that. Overall, i plan to hit only government and military targets, with Civilians targets avoided at all cost. The only reason this would change is if there needs and will be a plan B escape route for those that participate in this.

After a bit of thought, I can't get behind this sort of attack yet. I can help you build towards an eventual overthrow of the Sith overlords, but for now, I think an open assault will do more harm than good. In time, we will strike.

Good luck, just be very careful, because if the One Sith ever finds out who is responsible IC, retaliation will be swift, decisive, and above all, devastating.

I should do a blog sometime on the complete and total lack of any class resistance or consciousness in canon Star Wars. It's almost as if all the authors were writing without any knowledge that socialism or liberalism (classical variety) exists.

Anyway, up with the anarchist bomb throwers!

Star Wars. It’s essentially an Imperialist and political rather than a social and economic story. No one ever stops to consider that the Republic is a federalised oligarchy and that there’s never any mention of class consciousness.
No space communists in other words. :p
