In a lot of ways the Trade Federation had been a risk. All of those involved had been heavily involved with the Techno Union previously, hell most of them had been founding members of the Union. To leave the familiar grounds and the cushy seats that came with them was a tough decision, but ultimately the right one. The trouble of the Union came with the realization that they couldn't stay neutral anymore.
Not with holding land and actively picking sides in wars.
So this was a return to the 'old' ways. Where the corporations stayed neutral, stayed at the sidelines and simply observed before making profitable business choices.
One of which was the acquisition of a majority share in Titan Industries. A gamble, perhaps, but one that could prove to be a very valuable investment in the long run. The last few hours had been tricky as a result. The last thing they had wanted to do was tip off the Galaxy at large of their interest - that would have caused a run or at least a lazy jog, with a price hike as a result.
All in all it had worked out well and Irani, for one, was satisfied with the results. Still a pricey investment, but one that had the potential of earning itself back tenfold if they played it right.
"Darell." Ashley entered the office room. She had two glasses with her, for once there was a satisfied expression gracing her.
"I hear celebrations are in order?"
Irani shrugged.
"Might as well while it lasts. The next Lasedri or Garter is probably waiting around the corner to ruin our fun."
