[TLM] "Ascension" [Silver Jedi]

Her voice would reach out to Rasu, and it sounded of many. They were but whispers, faint. They seemed to struggle to find a medium through which they could communicate. Surely the bond they shared would allow her to hear Ru's voice. In her current state it was all she could do, and it plagued her that she wasn't strong enough in the present time to combat the corruption that had taken her. She was weak, and growing weaker with time. The voices reached out to Rasu, her dearest friend, "Ra...Rasu..I've failed, there's a darkness that has arrived. It has weakened me, I....I don't have much strength to keep this link open...Sel Ma...Makor." And then the voices would faint. The silence left was louder than the voices themselves. It was within the hopes of Sochi that Rasu would understand, but then she too fainted, and the influence that had her had taken back control.

She was the next to arrive, but her aura was not of the original. The Togruta visible, was but a medium connecting one thing to this world. She walked through the opening of the horde of Gormak. With every gloomy step she spoke nothing, and only silence followed. The fighting resumed not too long after, bolts bouncing all over the city of Voss Ka. She ignited her lightsaber blade, and cerulean blade hissed once the rain touched it. It started to maneuver itself throughout the air from command of its master.

Ilanthria and two other Jedi reached the youngling quarters. She looked inside the first room. A small boy, only 5 or 6, cowered in the corner near his bed. The minute he saw her, his eyes lit up. "Ilanthria!" His voice squeaked. "There are loud noises coming from the Front Temple. What's happening?" Ilanthria took the boy by the hand and helped him to his feet. "Come along, dear. We must find your friends." She led him out into the hallway before turning to the the two Jedi with her. "Go and check as many rooms as you can. Bring all of the children to the back classrooms. We'll find a way out from there."

Beneath the helmet, Ace's eyes would widen in surprise and fear as he peered forward, further down the battle-field. Picking out a certain individual, the soldier could've sworn it was indeed a higher up Silver Jedi, [member="Sochi Ru"]. Raising an arm and waving it towards his soldiers, the man would speak out over his communicative helmet, sending a cease fire to his fellow soldiers. Bringing out a pair of binoculars, Ace would confirm the identity, not exactly sure what was going on. "Keep firing on the hordes, none of them can pass this point!" He would yell, as the blaster fire continued once again. No bolts would head the Jedi master's way, for that was an issue for the Jedi themselves to deal with. It was obvious some sort of betrayal had been under way, this battle being it's final result. "Kark.."

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
Somethings changed. Others, however, didn't. Aika was in the thick of things, but not right in the middle. She had remained off to the side as the others rushed to defend the temple. There was no need for her to make any attempt to look out the entrance. Sitting against the wall, it didn't take any extra effort sense what was happening on the other side. Her fellow Jedi engaged is battle with constantly approaching intruders, blaster fire consistently slicing through the air. At this point, the most she could do was maintain her own spot, almost like a back up role. That was until a voice rang closer.

Is was the voice of [member="Connor Harrison"], a padawan she had been aware of, but never formally met. Still, he had come to her for assistance in saving a fellow Jedi. Her gaze met his own, her mind racing to figure the bets way to extract the one he spoke. Aika didn't know the one named [member="CHANI"], yet that didn't mean she wasn't to be rescued. She could feel one in distress, and seemingly being the highest knight in the group, it was a must that everyone had to survive this. Seen if they came out with a few more scratches. Her head nodded, having formulated a plan. "I'll create an opening. Once I do, you need to ensure that everyone draws back into the Temple's entrance. That will lead to what we essentially be our stand against these pressing menaces. So, you ready?"

This would whole plan would either be a massive failure, or a rousing success. For all their sake, it to be the latter.

Connor held [member="CHANI"] close, doing the best to help calm her and clean the blood off her, but the wound was pretty game-changing, she would need some serious Bacta aid and surgery. He looked to [member="Aika Kawakami"] and nodded.

"Do what you can, if you are able. It seems we have back-up from an unlikely force, so that should give us an advantage."

He could see fellow Jedi leading an attack or moving inside the Temple.

"We need to get Chani to safety, and we need to either assist with the battle out there or fortify the Temple and make sure everyone is safe."

As long as they were together, they would be ok. He hoped.

Connor could feel that awful tinge of darkness coming closer however, it felt like a wave coming ever closer that he couldn't avoid once it hit.

Deep in the belly of the Dark Heart, Creimire is alone. Her silver bladed saber flashing in a blurred circles as she continued her training with the new blade, she felt the connection to this blade much more then the one she uses when not in her guise as Creimire. The force pumping throughout her body strengthening her limbs and mind .. more and more she is forming a stronger connection to the Force, which pleased her greatly. It is intoxicating.

However, her blade hesitated .. her head turned to look upward to the stone ceiling of the Shadows Halls as if looking through them. The Force surged in her, the sense of danger and death and Jedi. The Force whisper became a louder and immediately Creimire ran from the room and along the corridor leading to a secret passage that would lead her to the outside. The cold night air hit her face, sending a chill down her spine but she did not stop. Her boots splashing through the muddy ground as she quickly made her way around the Temple to the front. Now she can hear the sound of blaster bolts and yelling, it did not take much to work out the Temple was under attack.

Her force signature and presence concealed, the light around her shimmered just for a moment before she is no longer physically visible as she manipulated the sound and light around her, only a very strong Master might be able to sense her presence and one that knew what to look for. To the right flank she positioned herself, hidden not only in the force but among the trees of the forest near by, her black eyes piercing the night, able to see far more then most, the Gormak! At this point Creimire would not use the force, not yet.

It felt good to be coming home. The test run on her old A-Wing .. the Crossfire Hurricane had gone smooth .. the parts she needed to replace she had found. Iella stretched her back as the ship descended to ground, she suddenly felt uncomfortable which was not like her in the seat of the starfighter, and her mind became concerned. Something is wrong and as her ship skimmed the tops of the trees toward the Temple, a wall darkness hit her. A sharp intake of air filled her lungs as pain and suffering, angry and hatred overwhelmed her.

Her eyes fell on the control panel, the scanner lit up with a feed of red targets, indicating enemy. She looked up and out the cockpit window to see the flashing light of blaster fire coming from in front of the Temple, many sentient beings on ground and advancing toward the Temple .. Frink, Osk'y. Unidentified hostiles to her for the moment, however not the people on the Temple steps and on ground fighting them. The Silver Jedi are in force and fighting for their lives.

Iella opened a commlink to all Silver Jedi, hoping one would have theirs open. "Silver Jedi Temple, Iella here, who is on ground? come in please!".

Iella pushed the Hurricane forward coming in fast, as soon as she is in range she will open fire.

Holding [member=CHANI], blood now seeping down his hand and arm, Connor was alerted to numerous com-links chiming, followed by the panic stricken voice of [member="Iella E'ron"]. The Silver Jedi were being contacted by one of their own away from the battleground. Looking around as debris rained in through a smashed window on the ground floor, he reached down with his free hand and pulled out the com-link affixed to his belt, pressed the com button and spoke.

"Master E'ron. This is Connor Harrison. I think we've annoyed the locals. I've got Chani here seriously wounded, [member="Aika Kawakami"] is here and I've seen [member=Ilanthria], [member=Dalur], [member=Yinch], [member="Xander Carrick"] and [member="Asaak Tey"] but there are more around, as well as soldiers fighting alongside us. Any help would be hot."

He cut off. He had to get Chani away from danger and help the others.

Her noodle like body drifted in and out of consciousness, for a moment Chani would be aware of Connor, then Aika who seemed quite foreign, in fact everyone seemed like she did not know them, wait, didn't she know the man...who was the man holding her? Her maniacal grin came over her face as she called to the force to aid her body in actually surviving this ordeal, the blanket wrapped around her like a safety net but then constricted, tightened and fashioned to her body, pushing her physical abilities to their utmost, it was working little by little as she remembered where she was, why she was here and had a quick idea, as half of her head would fall of if someone released it, there was a lot of blood but for the most part the wound was cauterized.

"Connor," beautifully coughing up blood, "I am awake, I am here, go...go help them I'll be OK for a while, the force is holding me together." He was stubborn so Chani pushed him, shooed him, begged him to direct his attention on the defense, as a show of encouragement, she rose, one hand on her head just in case and found she could walk by herself now, so she did, down a corridor not to the medbay but to her quarters where she produced her star fighter helmet, put it on and felt relieved as the pressure held her together without a free hand.

Finally stealing a moment to collect her thoughts she found it hard to think, but was thankful to the Jedi for helping her when she needed the assistance, the creatures were organized, unnaturally so, something must have prepared them, riled them up to this...then Chani thought of the darkness she had confronted on Voss, it surely had a hand, an influence in this. After more moments than she cared to admit were justified Chani waltzed out of the room with the force as her physical lifeline, reaching the main entrance where the fighting was hottest and noticed a large puddle of blood and a man standing near it using a com, she would thank Connor after this, thank them all for saving her.

She was more stubborn than a Bantha, but [member="CHANI"] was gone before he could finish on the com to [member="Iella E'ron"].

A sickening trail of blood drifted from the bottom stair, and across in specks to where Chani had gone to, hopefully for aid.

Connor wiped his bloodied hand down the side of his charcoal grey outfit, sweeping his hair over from his eyes, the droplets of blood from his Sister Jedi smeared over his forehead and temple.

Taking a breath, he unhooked his lightsaber from his side and held the hilt tight, keeping out of the line of fire from the main door, and waited for the right time to strike.

Now Playing: Walk Away by Five Finger Death Punch

Stumbling past frenzied Temple guards and Jedi jumping through the panicked masses of personnel evacuating, Lok scrambled through the crowd. It wasn't that the Jedi were panicking, but more so the civilian personnel that lived with them and staffed the maintenance and welfare teams. Many of them had families living with them like the Jedi Temple of the old on Coruscant. The Valkyrian rather liked the community feeling, actually, he adored it. And with that feeling, he owed them everything he had and would die before he gave up his home. Gritting his teeth, he tightened the grip around his blue, unlit saber and spotted a team of Temple guards preparing to advance to the front. "You!" He called out, jamming a finger in the leader's direction.

"Yes, sir?" He replied, no doubt ready to move out and slightly agitated at the halt. "Gather your men, fortify the evacuation areas and prepare for contingency maneuvers." The leader seemed astonished that he was being diverted to something other than the combat occurring at the main gates. "But, si-" Lok cut him off. "Go now."

Without waiting for a reply, Lok turned and sprinted off with intentions to reinforce the lead teams. His wrist was raised to his mouth. "Master Kaast, I've got a team coming to assist you. I need to go help at the gates." The man almost seemed apologetic in the report. "Okay, thank you, Lok. Oh, one more thing." Came the crackled reply. "Be aware of a darkness. I can sense it arising in the distance, it seems...indirect. Stay safe, Padawan." The Valkyri cornered a massive staircase and doubled his pace towards the blasterfire and the snap-crackle of deflected fire. "May the Force be with you."

All of the children followed Ilanthria now in a medium-sized crowd, with the older ones forming a perimeter around the younger ones. The two Jedi assisting her took up positions in the back. Together, they headed for the the south classrooms near the rear of the temple. As they herded the last of the younglings into the southern corridor, Ilanthria stopped suddenly. A great darkness....It was coming. Not only that, but the creatures attacking.....They were trying to surround the Temple. They were making their way to the back entrances. Right where the children were! The doors were at the far end of the corridor. Ilanthria gathered the children into a tight cluster. "Now listen carefully, dear ones," She said soothingly. "I want you to focus. Close your eyes, and reach out with your perceptions. Feel the life of those around you. Feel their heartbeats. Feel their breath." The door began to sake as something rammed into it from the other side. Some of the children whimpered. "Focus, dears. Now, imagine a barrier. A shield that covers you completely, protecting you. Imagine that shield expanding, covering everyone. Nothing can get through it. Nothing." As she spoke, a wave of Force energy could be felt coming from each of them. A see-through barrier formed around everyone, including Ilanthria. She added her own energy to it, strengthening it. The door gave way, and the creatures came in. "Whatever you hear, whatever you feel, do not let it come near you. You are strong united. As long as you stand together, nothing can harm you." Ilanthria said to them. She turned to the Jedi at the rear. They both drew their sabers, nodding to her. She then drew her own, a radiant cyan. "Protect the children at all cost!"

Yinch backed toward the doors his blend of basic Soresu and Ataru made the small green thing a blur of movement and his lightsaber hummed incessantly. Like an angry wasp the green bladed buzzed against the bolts until he srood in the door way of the temple.

"The entrances we must close." He said, "a choke point create. Fight only a few at a time we would. Defend the temple we shall."

Yinch continued to defend the gates as they all moved inside. They could use some help about now and he was considering rushing to fight the advancing darkness himself.

Blaster ammo was getting really low now. There were hardly any cartridges laying around now, those that were having already been taken from the dead. The strange, angry Gormak's assault would continue without end, their numbers almost seeming unbeatable. Peaking out from his cover, Ace would continue to fire single blaster bolts, taking down the warriors that got too close with a single, swift shot to the head. His fellow soldiers followed his example, taking out the ones that got ahead while offering surpressing fire wherever needed. Though, that wouldn't be an option soon enough, for they would need more energy cartridges. The loud crack of Picker's blaster sniper would ring out across the battlefield, it's powerful, quick bolt travelling to take out the enemies that attempted to make their way around the temple. "I have a bad feeling about this." Ace would say, glancing across the battlefield at the Jedi Master who had arrived on the opposite side. What was really going on?
Hopefully reinforcements would arrive soon, so the temple doors could be sealed shut to protect the defenseless.

Coming up from the shadow of darkness, followed but something more wrapped around her was that of shadow, herself over from head to toe her dark almost black hair flow from her, her eyes the color of sky blue that seem to price through the darkness. Flowing around as got closer to where the action was, staying hidden, with in the shadows masking her own force signature from all that was seen. Watching also forming her own plan. Out came a blade of true be beauty, then came an image of @CHANI having to stay in control then rushing to help, knowing that the force would take care of her.

Her lips curving up making her way into [member="Connor Harrison"] <<I"m making my way in the shadow my dear brother >> Making her way to the side of where all coming from very carefully coming to the way of making it reaching out to gather ones from there feet turning them around so they would be more confuse the Golukas. Still being unseen by any one else.

Now Playing: Help Is On The Way by Rise Against

Brandishing his cobalt blue saber, the blade came to life with a snap-hiss as the heavyset man charged headfirst into battle. Sliding past the other Jedi and Temple guards who had made contact with the first ranks of the invaders, Lok did not stand his ground. Rather, he pushed into the incoming columns of infantry and heavy weaponry. "Do not sit back, push them back!" He cried out, hoping some of the soldiers like [member="Ace Thrakish"] or Jedi like [member="Yinch"] and [member="Connor Harrison"] would hear his call. The Guardians should not fall back and draw the invaders inside, but rather move outside and wipe out the invading forces and track the dark cloud corrupting their minds. The Valkyri had already sent a team of Temple guards to help round up the civilian personnel and younglings and get them to the safe area. Now it was time for the warriors to make their final stand for their home.

Displaying his innate, yet highly untrained techniques in Djem So, the Midvinter warrior deflected blaster bolts with ease. He didn't want to strike down these poor souls, but they'd made the mistake of barging into his home and threatening his - and the Jedi's - very way of life. Without observable provocation, Lok figured something else more sinister was the cause of such a surprising attack. "Divines, stand by me." He muttered under his breath, praying to himself through pants of breath. A break in the fire allowed him a chance to smear some of the glistening sweat from his face before the onslaught continued. Only in the defense did the young man take a life.

Ace and his gang of soldiers had been outside of the Temple, at it's main entrance, holding back the line for a long while now. Lok would arrive after Ace had, two of his soldiers already having been killed. Propping himself against cover, he would watch as [member="Lok Jorunn"] entered the field, deflecting blasts that had been sent at the group. "Give the Jedi covering fire, Scorch. Picker, keep up the good sniping...The rest, we'll continue our duty. Lay down surpressing fire, and take out as many as you can. Try to reserve ammo!" Ace would call out through his helmet, it being transmitted directly to the other group member's huds. They would listen loyally, continuing their mission of holding the line, attempting to slowly push it back. The numbers at which the Gormaks came with were immense though, giving them a false sense of hope. The Jedi arrival was a good sign though, for they were god amongst men.

Several colours of blaster bolts would fly through the air, back and forth, impacting on both sides in order to lessen their numbers. The battle raged on, more fierce than ever.

The tide of the battle seemed to be turning, the Guardians making their move to defend the Temple. She heard [member="Yinch"]'s idea to create a choke point and nodded, looking to @Dalur. "We will create a choke point, as Knight Yinch as suggested, so we will no longer need to lock down the doors. Prepare yourself to defend the Temple," she said, offering him a reassuring look before moving to the huge blue crystal at the center of the room.

When this was over - for she refused to believe they wouldn't come out of this, hope surging through her - she would close the doors by the power of her muscles, just walking them closed as should have been simple, savoring the monotony. But with the Gormak screaming and swearing in their strange language mere moments from the door, [member="Lok Jorunn"] and [member="Ace Thrakish"] doing their best to hold off the main group, Asaak needed those doors almost closed in a split second.

She drew energy from the crystal behind her, from that idealistic hope that always burned in her chest, and pushed out with the Force, the gargantuan Temple doors sliding almost shut as if they were made of paper and not hundreds of pounds of stone. There was enough space between them for a single being to get through and she would hold the doors there if need be, if the Gormak swarmed and tried to break through. With the chokepoint suggesting by the Knight they could defend the Temple from any Gormak who might break past the defenses of the Guardians outside. The opening served a dual purpose: any one outside who needed to get in could easily slip through in to the Temple before the horde was upon them if they moved now.

The smell of blood was thick, and she could feel panic from her fellow Jedi somewhere deep in the Temple. But she needed to concentrate, concentrate! If they panicked, all would be lost.

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
Ready or not, it was time. Aika rose to her feet, a heavy sigh escaping her lips. She couldn't stand in the line of fire as others could, but she could at east organize them. Decrease the chaos and give them direction. It was what she could do, and it was what needed to be done. The Jedi had been doing their own thing the whole time, and it had been getting them nowhere. That had to change..

With a determination in her eyes, she moved around the corner, positioning herself just in front of the entrance, yet still at the top of the stairs. Her eyes closed, Aika exhaled deeply, her mind moving to a silent focus. With no warning, one of the fallen pillars began to levitate, hovering into the air. On her command, the crumbling pillar went soaring through the air, aimed at the front line of the oncoming intruders. Lucy for them, the Gormak dodged, retreating back as the oncoming obstruction neared them. The pillar smashed into the ground, creating a small cloud of smoke a it nearly disintegrated into dust. That was her moment.

Aika connected with those around, speaking through the force to those around her. Everyone! Line up in front of the entrance! Create a wall, if you will, with yourselves! We only have a moment before they recover, and we need to be ready if we are to stand victorious this day. She only hoped those chose to listen. If not, she would have to stand back, and hope that they could stand on their own.

Alarms pierced the quiet that Rianna had surrounded herself with. Slowly her mind cleared to understand what was happening. Unfolding her legs from beneath her she rose up finding a sure footing on the floor as she began to pull things together that may be needed, her lightsaber and med bag. There was a sensation growing concern, panick. Rianna closed her eyes held up her hands she had only pushed this much emotion to others long ago, it was a skill not often needed for so many. She pushed the sensation of calm outwards to any that could feel it sense it, use it. Rianna knew it may not reach everyone but for a moment or two it may grant enough reprieve that the panick subside.

Rianna moved quickly muttering to herself force protect us looking around and sensing the stronger emotions Rianna moved toward them, the thick iron smell on the air, blood. Nothing smelled like it, how many were hurt?

To not give position away Rianna reached out telepathically, "Anyone hurt, tell me where you are I will come to you" Though she knew few of these Jedi they had offered her sanctuary until the times in the galaxy became more clear, and her path clearly marked.
